    A total failure and the worst game so far from Playstation Studio. Some even compare this to TLOU2 where it's not even comparable at all.

    The reason this game is a failure is due to bugs and game design which makes me frustrated like, how can a big studio with big budget (Playstation Studio) produce this kind of low quality game? It's not even reach a half-baked cake at all, it's almost    A total failure and the worst game so far from Playstation Studio. Some even compare this to TLOU2 where it's not even comparable at all.

    The reason this game is a failure is due to bugs and game design which makes me frustrated like, how can a big studio with big budget (Playstation Studio) produce this kind of low quality game? It's not even reach a half-baked cake at all, it's almost raw. Very unpolished like you can see the developer even confused what they are making here by playing the game.

    Let's talk about bugs first. So many texture bug in the game, pop-in object, subtitles stuck and missing out of nowhere, levitating while in jumping action and more minor bugs which questionable like how come that have not been fixed yet until now?

    About the game design, it's the worst for a big studio. More indie developers are even better than this game design. I get it that All Playstation Studios start to create an immersive gameplay by creating an engaging story which include cutscene and that's work but not for Bend Studio. The most ugly design is the transition between cutscene and back into action. Yes, Ghost of Tsushima also did it this way for their cutscene but in GoT is way more make sense because they never insert cutscene between action or combat so you won't get interrupted + the transition is fast. In Days Gone, they force you into cutscene while you are in combat and after you out from the cutscene, you are in the middle of the zombies + the transition or the loading is way too long which kill the tension and the experience of the game. Cutscene is the biggest flaw in this game. Learn from your brother, Naughty Dog, they are the best at creating a flawless transition for cutscene, no black screen needed.

    The nest seems buggy but I do think that it's not a bug rather than a game design from Bend Studio because it's consistently happened that way for every nest in the game. When you burn the nest, the zombies will just pop in or blink, there's no animation for them to get out from the nest once you burn it.

    Last, the story. This might be because of my personal preference as I'm getting tired of every game developer creating a post apocalyptic game and it always resulting in making zombies game. Days gone is one of the worst in their storyline. It seems the game is cutting a lot of context in the game like they want to simplifying it but it turns to be janky. No clear context, background and characters building is just nowhere to be found. I'm sorry but poor performance from Voice Actor as well.

    Drop the game after only 4 hours of playing. I'm glad that I never consider to buy this game. It's playable and the shooting + melee combat works fine but the cutscene design and the story just kill this game for me. No wonder Sony reject an upcoming project that almost becoming Days Gone 2.     One of the worst games I’ve every played. Horrible performance, grindy, and god awful side quests.

    Repetive missions and mediocre story drag the whole game down.

    Days Gone é um jogo usando de modelo padrão sony de criar games atualmente que são abordagens de open world genéricas ao extremo, sistema de quests repetitivas e sem graca, open world sem nada pra fazer, física no jogo não existe, fora os bugs que este jogo possui a rodo. Além do open world genérico, ainda temos aqueles filminhos que somente a sony sabe nos proporcionar.

    Thankfully i didn't have to buy this as I played it at a friends , why this game took so long is anyone's guess it just has so many bad point's both with bugs and the playability of the game itself.

    This game strives for a realistic open world game when it comes to your player but then it becomes completely unrealistic when you face (on easy mode) certain enemies like Rippers (who themselves are also humans). For example there is a Ripper that has some sort of backpack and I shot him 8 times with a high powered sniper rifle and he still kept firing. Even if these Rippers are on PCP I still don't understand how any human can take 8 high powered rifle rounds to the head and body and still live. So they force you to be realistic while being unrealistic themselves. I understand about the concept of "bosses" in games however don't force us to be realistic then make the bosses so wildly unrealistic and highly inhumanly strong and deadly. I think I'll go back to God of War or Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Hey Days Gone people.... Easy level = easy Normal and Hard is for the stunts you're pulling with Easy mode.… Expand

    Visually impressive but mechanically horrific. Major systems like hiding, luring and dodging fail consistently and swarms frequently spawn just steps away from you. Without functioning mechanics to escape, the game is virtually unplayable. I returned it to the store and have no plans to waste my time with it again.

    Crafting is uncomfortable. Bike upgrades... There are 3 levels of them. 1 lvl give you 10% boots, 2 lvl 10% boost, 3lvl 90000% boost, this is how you understand that the game released in not finished state.
    Generic predictable boring story, every misison, every twist, every decision, every word we saw that million times before TheWalkingDead and we seen that for 10 years in TWD.
    Uninspired copycat created by BBB sony formula, also, you should have bought bugged piece of garbage on release for full price to see sequel, glad there will be none, I dont understand how any soul can enjoy this joke of a game. The only reason I give 2 stars is for the two good scenes throughout the game: taking boozer to lost lake and the resolution to the Ripper arc. Other than that the game is filled with tedious, unmemorable, repeating missions that make the story feel distant from what is actually being played. If this game had half the missions but they decided to only include the ones that progress the story, it'd be a good game. I don't personally care about graphics so I can't in good conscience let that increase the score. I don't care about bugs either though; most of them were pretty enjoyable. I'm not going to recommend this game to anyone, but I'm going to brag about how I finished this 30+ hour slog of a main story.… Expand

Had I stopped playing after the first 10 hours of this game, I might have given it an 8 because I enjoy open-world games with resource finding and conservation elements. I liked my lookout tower with its gorgeous views and scattered resources. Resources that I was determined to save for emergencies. The protagonist was boring and dreary, but I'm used to that from these kinds of games. I've come to expect to be playing as a person who is a child's idea of a tough guy.

    Things started to go a little sideways for me when I tried to gather up gun to take them back to my camp. In a real zombie situation I'm not leaving a precious thing like guns behind, I'm taking everything I can carry. Even if it's just for ammo/parts/scrap metal. The character has the ability to slow down time, but apparently he doesn't have a duffel bag. I tried to see if there was a way to strap a gas can to my bike too, but that would make too much sense. Not to worry, there is plenty of gas around the map. It's a missed opportunity to create tension in the game knowing you'll never truly be out of gas.

    I tried to take found motorcycles back to the camps too. That was a useless endeavor, I couldn't even get parts of the bikes for my own. You end up sourcing the same resources over and over again; nothing is really scarce, just spread out. If you scavenge an area, leave and come back, all the resources will have respawned. Like the gas, there's no concern about scarcity. Throw all the molotovs you want, you're surrounded by everything you need to make more. The frustration comes from the tedium of having to ride around to collect more.

    At times I wondered if the point of this game was zombies or riding the motorcycle. Both were time consuming and simplistic.

    The story was predictable, unoriginal, and uninspired. It was more suited for a C-level action film than a PS exclusive. I understand that Sony's goals now are to release games that could be movies. I imagine DG is going to be a good movie thanks to the setting, the zombies, and maybe even revamped characters, but the story will still be boring.

    Back to the time I spent playing this game - which ended up being 60 over almost 11 months (that's how repetitive this game is, I took long breaks and it still felt like a chore). After 10 hours I realized that everything I was doing/hearing/seeing was all there was ever going to be. That if I wanted to upgrade my weapons and bike, I was going to have to keep repeating the same tasks over and over. To be clear, the tasks were different as far as the game is concerned but it might as well been copy and pasted objectives. Someone who doesn't know how to take care of themselves left the camp and got kidnapped for the 10th time, I'll go save them. I stumbled upon an ambush camp, oh no, I guess I'll take all these guys out like I did at the other 39 ambush camps I had to deal with before. Ride all the way across the map to talk to a rock or pick flowers, sure. Sneak around. Changes were as basic as this NERO site needs gas AND a fuse now. Wild. And the guy at the marauder camp has a flame thrower, but don't worry because the AI is so dumb they won't actually do anything like flank you or even advance towards you. Sometimes they'll even leave cover to run halfway to a different spot, stop in the open, then turn around and run back to their original cover.

    I learned pretty quickly which cars and buildings were going to have which resources; eliminating the need for me to actually search for things. For all the time they spent making scaled down Oregon look pretty, they didn't put much effort into the variety of the objects within the world. Bless Deacon for prying open the hatch on the SUV to get to the trunk instead of just reaching in through the broken window. The boy's not the brightest bulb, folks.

    I think I've covered everything: boring, uninspired, repetitive. Even fighting the hordes gets to be monotonous: set traps, run, turn shoot, run, rinse, repeat, until they're all dead. And it's likely you'll accidentally find a glitch spot when you're fighting the hordes where they can't reach you; the map probably has more of these spots than they do hordes.

    The final fight would have been the biggest let down had the game not been such a disappointment to that point. By then I wasn't expecting anything unique or exciting. Just more of the same.

    But there was one last thing that upset me. The whole game Deacon can't swim, he drowns within seconds. Last big fight of the game, the bridge is blown up and Deacon has to swim a decent distance. If Deacon is so terrified of water why was the plan to blow up the bridge first? To have one corny moment of character development? It's too little too late.

    If you absolutely have to buy the game wait until it's on sale at least. It's four years old now and wasn't worth $50 when it was new.    … Expand

I couldn't care less about the world nor the forced cringy romantism of the protaginists. But that's not what disappointed me ! It was that i had to stop for fuel pumping every 2 minutes !! Who assumed that gamers would like this !     This took so long to release I expected something special but got the opposite, If it were an indie game at an indie game price then you could maybe forgive it's faults ,but it is Full price for a very average Zombie game (despite the zombies not being called zombies) with technical issues that just make it annoying to play. Very disappointing.

    I was originally excited to play this game, but after playing a few hours of the game I was bored out of my mind. The gameplay mechanics were decent, but the overall story was utter trash. This story was very predictable and didn't get you invested in the character at all. You know when it's a bad game when it takes away your desire to play games for 3 months.

    Unfortunately the game suffers from very vulgar dialogue and themes in cerain cutscenes that are dreadful to go through. Also, deviant charaacters are employed in attempts to go against religious beliefs. Otherwise the story would have been more engaging and intense if this was not the case

The writing is pretty bad in general ( A world filled with "freakers" who will be attracted by sound and the main protagonist rides around on a noisy motorcycle, the writers clearly aren't particularly smart) The cutscene Deacon also seems to be completely different from the Gameplay Deacon. His character in the cutscenes comes across as fairly normal and able to converse with the other characters, during gameplay he narrates almost everything he's doing in a way that makes him sound a bit like a mentally disturbed lunatic. There are other issues with this game (same old missions, repetitive gameplay etc) that just make it a bit same old same old and nothing particularly special. They obviously wanted to be the next PS4 exclusive smash hit like The Last Of Us or Horizon Zero Dawn. but the gameplay, numerous bugs and poor writing mean that Days Gone does not even come close.… Expand

    Days Gone is an empty experience with several bugs and glitches, invisible things, so bad graphics, the graphics of this game looks like PS2 or PS3 graphics, the game don't have the necessary shadows, the protagonist is boring, the story is boring and all fights with the zombies are empty and boring.

    Took me an hour to load the game up because we got stuck on an "infinite" loading screen. It was the worst first impression for a game ever. We had to turn the PS4 off and on, delete and reinstall days gone, power cycle the PS4, take the disc in and out..

    This is probably the definition of redundant crap, plot about the outbreak and blah,blah blah zombies happening has been done dozens of times before, some devs put some humour in their games despite serious plot and gave us some likeable characters as well as they gave us some interesting way the game is played. Days Gone has none of those things, the protagonist is a boring douchebag you would expect in some low budget movie, because that's the only place i can see someone like him surviving even two days, the other characters are literal planks, it's likely you'll forget about them within minutes.Voice acting and narrative are both crap.
    Gameplay wise well where do i even began, they had all triple A game mechanics right in there hands but they implemented them so poorly you could give this game to some college students and they could implement them better than devs. The game itself is obviously State of Decay rip-off with quality of a app store rip-off game, there's dozens upon dozens of bugs, falling under the map happens more often than "big"(as big as a rat) hordes, constant framerate drops, crashing the console and dozens of questionable things happening. They tried to fix those things with tons of patches but they ended up causing the game to get worse.
    I could get more entertaiment from painting a wall and atleast it wouldn't borderline mess up my console.

    Es muy raro que deje juegos a medias, pero mucho me temo que este va a ser uno de ellos: sandbox de garrafón, historia absurda, personajes sin carisma, bugs a todo trapo, falsa sensación de supervivencia...Un juego decepcionante se mire por donde se mire, casi cualquier otro en su género lo supera. Simplemente, no hay por dónde cogerlo.

    - The (Save) dynamics are broken. I don't understand. Why can't I save whenever and wherever I want? Believe it or not, the save issues are A BIG DEAL. I found myself being automatically saved at various instances before I had a chance to collect needed items or ammo, then I died because I wasn't able to collect needed items or ammo. And when the game loaded up again, it started me feet away from a boss in the same situation, again without ammo or items that I needed. If I don't want to fight the boss at the moment, and want to get items instead it will warn me that I am leaving the mission area, stop the game, and literally force me back to where I just was.
    - Why does this game force me to push forward, even if I don't want to or am not ready? Need Items? Better no progress, because if you die it will relentless force you right back into the same situation. I remember I got to a certain point in the game, and then a boss popped up I was not expecting. I did not have the ammo or equipment I needed and the game would not let me go back. If I tried, it told me I was leaving the mission area, then started me right back where I was trying to leave from. I just ended up just restarting at a much older (saved game point) and had to do many things all over again.
    - The game play, is somewhat broke. My motorcycle crashed and fell into a river at the same time. I needed to repair the motorcycle before I could use it again, but the game wouldn't let me repair it because you're not allowed to repair a motorcycle that is in water. Wait, what? Well, what am I supposed to do then? I crashed and my bike happened to be in the water, the game tells me to repair it to continue, then the games tells me I can't repair it. But the game also wont let me sit on the bike to move it and for some unknown reason the most basic aspect of owning a bike (pushing it) you aren't able to do in this game. Why?
    - Go to the area, reach certain point, thing happens, cannot progress or move forward until after thing is completed.
    - The game forces certain events to take place, even though many (most in fact) are completely avoidable in real life. There was a situation where I needed to escape an area. There was a rock no higher than a car that if it were in real life, I would simply climb over the car sized rock and be out of the camp area. But this game forced me to go through about 20 minutes of nonsensical (kill the bad guy, progress forward) rather than hopping over the rock.
    - Also, what is with the (Community Trust) earnings? Can someone explain to me how I can go into a cave full of zombies, then save an entire community multiple times while everyone else stands around behind the gates, run errands, save multiple people and kill countless bad guys and zombies, but my trust still not be at the max level?

    The game is broke and or down right nonsensical. Forced interactions, forced rail shooter like game play, little freedom of movement after forced scenarios and situations occur, horrendous game save issues, trust apparently cannot be earned in the game even if you save entire communities, you cannot push your bike. YOU CANNOT PUSH YOUR BIKE.    … Expand

    This game is way too long. With very little to enjoy about it. I'm about 20+ hours in, doing minimal side quests and I checked a walkthrough to see how close I was to the end only to find out that I've barely scratched the surface. Repetitive missions, plus the boring story that could have been wrapped up a lot quicker. Over all just a dull game

The fault is of course mine, I should have watched the first few minutes of gameplay before purchase, but didn't want to spoil the story. Shame on Sony for allowing this, not the standard we are used to

    The game was just a terrible unimaginative rehash of other survival games. Lots of frustrating bugs, repetitive game play, uninteresting characters and storyline. I think the game needed at least another year of work before it was released.

    Some basic problems are : Graphics could have used a little more polish, Very bad story    On one hand we have open world games like Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2 & Marvel's Spider Man & On the other we have low level half backed Days Gone. Despite Downloading some 20 GB patch this game still suffers from many issues and they can't fix bad writing with patches.

    Jogo repetitivo e com história para crianças mal educadas. Seria melhor ler um livro ou fazer qualquer outra coisa ao invés de perder tempo com isso. Pouquíssimos jogos conseguiram a proeza de fazer com que eu desistisse no meio. Tristeza.

    I thought this was one of the worst AAA titles I've ever played. The game play is boring, the story is laughably bad, the characters are incredibly weak. I have no idea why it has an extremely vocal fan base, other than that maybe the game seems "cool". "Badass" characters riding around on motorcycles killing zombies. A 16 year old boys idea of cool, I guess.

    Combat : The AI is extremely stupid, keep stabbing enemy in the middle of 3 to 5 enemies and they wont bother to do any thing about it. Animal AI is even more dumber. Performance : Despite downloading some 20 GB Patch game    Serious disappointment.

    A story that ranges from boring to completely moronic.
    Gameplay that ranges from boring to broken and unplayable.
    Glitches and bugs dominate the game even after well over a year.
    The fact that this has anything more than a 0 is pathetic. I looked through the people giving this a 10 and almost all only had one review posted. The user rating makes way more sense now.

    I bought this game for the hordes, but the are rare killed all of the, early two areas have them but they are GROUPS then HORDES, and can be killed easily, Good weapons are unlocked pretty late where there is not much left around to kill B/Z you would already killed most of hordes and enemies.
    AND false advertising!     Bend Studio made a great game with a rich, believable and captivating story. They’ve also resisted the lure of trends: there’s no multiplayer, no lootboxes, no “game as a service” plans – just a very solid (and finite) singleplayer experience.     At the beginning of the game you’ll feel like you've already played this game... then it will let you go for a while only to return with reinforcements (and lots of bugs). However, Days Gone has a couple of pleasant moments, that can't be denied. [Issue#295]

    I expect and hope for a sequel. Just know that going into this game that there is a lot of tedious nonsense to pad out a really good game to make it feel more worth every dollar, much to its detriment. I want to give this game a better score because the best moments are so good, but the large portion of this game is so bloody tiring that I just can’t.
