    Even though it might seem generic at first, the more you play it you’ll be surprised how much more the game offers, how challenging it gets at times, and how deep the story goes with it’s characters. Even though the characters may seem uninteresting in the beginning, this 20-25 hour game does a great job with a slow burn and subverts your expectations with what it has to offer.     As the user score suggests, Days Gone is a pretty good game. It has a great idea behind it, nice made & immersive world (you'll probably spend hours in it), nice graphics, easy flowing game-play with lots of action. The story and the characters are interesting, there are plenty of memorable moments. On the bad side, it feels the game was rushed. There are enough bugs, glitches & sometimesAs the user score suggests, Days Gone is a pretty good game. The story and the characters are interesting, there are plenty of memorable moments. On the bad side, it feels the game was rushed. There are enough bugs, glitches & sometimes it feels clunky, while the missions can be somewhat repetitive. However, all those minus points are not enough to make the game less enjoyable and fun to play. To keep it short: Days Gone is like playing a beta-version of a truly awesome game.

    There are still some bugs from texture streaming to a gameplay that you can sometimes laugh at for how funny it could get. Despite all those bugs the gameplay and story is quite amazing! This game proves that we shouldn’t be trusting critics since some reviewers might be stuck at 2D era and hating the opening world or they might be reviewing different genre that they dispute.     The game is a 3rd person action game that focuses on the member of a motorcycle club. The gameplay is very repetitive, but the story and the survival elements are interesting to an extent that makes you want to play this game.

    I'm not a fan of walking dead or zombie-like games but the action-adventure elements were interesting for me to make me want to finish this game.

    Se nota que no es un AAA pero es muy entretenido.

    Honestamente esperaba algo más del juego tal vez una producción de sony pero aún así blend studios ha hecho un trabajo decente.

    Gráficamente cumple perfectamente, el sonido muy bueno pero los diálogos no me terminan de convencer ya que los doblajes no están muy bien rematados.

    De jugabilidad anda sobrado.

The first time you face a horde can be quite scary as it's incredible how many zombies the PS4 can fit onto the screen. The first time you defeat a horde feels like quite the accomplishment as it's no mean feat.

    It does take a little while to get into it though but I would suggest persevering as it's definitely worth it. The gameplay is by far the best part of the game and I'm hoping they'll create a sequel as it would be amazing what the next-gen PS5 would be able to render. Thinking about how huge and daunting the zombie hordes can be just gives me chills.

    If you haven't played it yet and you're a fan of zombies and open world games, I definitely recommend picking this up and giving it a go. You won't regret it.    … Expand

    Before this came out I was stoked, but then came the reviews and it put me off slightly and, as I'm already behind on games I need to finish, I pushed it aside and practically forgot about it. The Christmas comes around I found a new copy for less than half the original price, so I snatched yo a copy

Please read other comments for further buying reasons. My main reason to write is: Do yourself a favor. PLAY IN ONLY SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY.     Big surprise for me this one. First time review on here too. Love zombie games but came in with low expectations, and it slowly became one of my favourite games of the year. Yes, the writing is cheesy and the characters offer little new, but if you want to play the perfect Walking Dead video game, this is it.     The game itself is not the most original, it is quite generic when it comes to zombie games, but generic means it works, and so the game was attractive to me. The possibility of facing hordes from the beginning of the game showed me that it is a piece of art that does not limit the player to making goals later on and that was extremely important.
    The story, as classic as it is, is so exciting that it makes me feel complacent with the feelings of the characters, which I found interesting and charismatic by the way. adding to the excellent survival mechanics and tactics, it is undoubtedly something extremely attractive in the game.
    However, not everything is perfect, I had at least 10 bug problems (one that hindered me a lot in my mission) and several problems with FPS drop on PS4 Slim. It doesn't change my experience in game that much but it makes me upset to see such a good game, in the hands of such an stupid problem.
    I still recommend the game because as much as it looks like games seen before, it provided me with a unique and valued experience. If u r thinking about buy it, go ahead, it really worth it. Have a nice game!    … Expand

    I started playin on PS4 but finished the game on PS5(cause of the 4K and 60fps) . Damn where to start... the story starts of kinda slow but man it’s good. I mean not like Red Dead but it’s good. The gameplay is good and consistent and everything that you would like to see in a zombie game except the few survival elements that would be nice to add , other than that it’s good.     Ótimo jogo, gráficos incríveis, boa jogabilidade e sem dúvida o ponto mais alto do jogos são as bordas gigantescas de zumbis. E jogo só peca em dois aspectos, a mau otimização do jogo que apresentou bugs e em um início de gameplay um pouco arrastado. Muitos dos bugs foram corrigidos, o que é um bom sinal.

    I only played it now, thus many many patches after the release. Also picked it up at a discount. Was not expecting much from all the hate, but ended up loving the game. 8/10 for me + story is really interesting overall + you can feel TWD atmosphere + game length - I expected 1/4 of what I got. Played it for 2 weeks, could not put    I was very pleasantly surprised by this title.

    I only played it now, thus many many patches after the release. Also picked it up at a discount.

    Was not expecting much from all the hate, but ended up loving the game.

    8/10 for me

    + story is really interesting overall
    + you can feel TWD atmosphere
    + game length - I expected 1/4 of what I got. Played it for 2 weeks, could not put it down
    + many skills to level up
    + free choice to fight using fore weapons or melee
    + bike customisation
    + side quests are really enjoying. There are like 4-5 categories, but they are mixed in such a way, that they do not become boring. Completed (what is rare for me) all side-quests, was not bored
    + no paid DLC, every new content (challenges, new game +) is included

    - some small bugs, rare now after all patches
    - once levelled up to max (melee combat skills), you can take out almost everyone with melee custom weapon (Normal difficulty). Feels a bit overpowered
    - mid-game story does not always make sense, but still is acceptable

    Overall very pleasant surprise for me, I would definitely recommend to give it a try, especially now after all the patches. Initially it was a 6, 7 /10 for me, but the game really grows on you after 10-15+h in. Finally a solid 8/10 or maybe even 9/10, depending on how much you dig into the post apo zombie world    … Expand

    The Story has his flaws, like it will feel unrefined in places, it could have definitely used some tightening in places. The first part of the game went on for too long, I really wish the main story had been the second half, or if they had combined the stories a bit better.     Some minor gribes:
    -The loading screens will take you out of the moment in game just waiting for the cutscene to get back to gameplay.
    -I would have loved a crafting system in a different menu as the directional pad seemed to rebel against me whenever I tried to select something.

    El juego esta bastante, tanto en graficos como en historia y en los giros que esta da, eso si el final oculto es muy extraño ya que te deja con una sensacion rara y esa es mi unica queja aunque en ocasiones se te hace monotono por recorrer largas distancias y hacer lo mismo ( como en cualquier juego de mundo abierto asi que este punto no lo veo nada negativo) el doblaje es espectacular enEl juego esta bastante, tanto en graficos como en historia y en los giros que esta da, eso si el final oculto es muy extraño ya que te deja con una sensacion rara y esa es mi unica queja aunque en ocasiones se te hace monotono por recorrer largas distancias y hacer lo mismo ( como en cualquier juego de mundo abierto asi que este punto no lo veo nada negativo) el doblaje es espectacular en la version castellana, si te gustan este tipo de juegos compralo sin dudarlo… Expand

    I played it late, when most of the bugs were patched out and it was a great experience. It has the perfect mix of action-rpg and survival horror. The story is interesting and the characters are very interesting. Some missions feel a bit like filler (mostly the secondary ones) and that´s the only reason why I´m not giving it a 9 or a 10, but besides taht it´s an outstanding game.

    Really nice game, full open world with stunning graphics. I got the Platinum trophy, I love this game. The downside is just the maintenance of the bike.. the hidden ending blow me away for sure. The second part will be amazing, I will buy it day one for sure..

    Juegazo. Al principio cuesta mucho engancharse, pero una vez que lo haces, no hay vuelta atrás. Buenísima historia, entorno y sobre todo personajes, para mí el mejor apartado. Lástima la cantidad de bugs y los bajones de FPS que si arruinan mucho y que aún tiene hoy en día, sin embargo si quitamos eso, se disfruta muchísimo igualmente.

Great gameplay from gunfights to riding your motorcycle from location to location which is even fun. Story is top notch and keeps you interested in where it goes. Characters are extremely well thought out with emotional undertones done extremely well. Upgrade and crafting system is simple and easy to understand. Graphically game is stunning with character faces even relaying subtle emotional ques that I’ve yet to see in other games and open world looks stunning.     Great game , Specially Hordes . It’s kinda addictive when you get into it . It’s not a Perfect game but if you looking for fun and good time then definitely go for it . Also besides story mode the other modes are fun to play after the credits roll . Definitely a must play .

    I played this game only recently, over a year after its initial release. Yes, there were glitches back in 2019, but a year full of updates seem to have fixed most of them. I personally did not encounter people going through cars, or the frame rate dropping during the bike rides.

    Last Of Us mixed with Red Dead Redemption what’s not too love! Probably the most underrated ps4 exclusive. The only problems I have are the weapons get boring, the game is very slow, and the hordes are introduced too late.

    Despues de haberlo terminado pues no es mal juego al hacerle un analisis super objetivo ya que no me gusto mucho que fuera tipo far cry no me gustan esas clases de juego xd de despejar campamentos y torres me aburre repetir esas cosas por lo demas es bueno y mas con las actualizaciones que mejoraron el juego y le agregaron contenido :3

    Un open world très impressionnant visuellement grâce à l'unreal engine. l'histoire est très immersive bien qu'a un moment le rythme général ralenti avant de reprendre pour le final. gameplay intéressant bien que répétitif et avec des bugs même 1 an après sa sortie.

    A little clunky in some areas but overall the graphics were good, has a great story, and the hordes added a dynamic to the combat that was reminiscent of L4D but better. Definitely need to improve on the side quests, they get repetitive after a while.

    I picked up Days Gone on PS5 from the PS Collection. I always wanted to try it but the review kept me away. When I learned it was going to be free on PS5 I knew I had to give it a shot.

    First off, the game is gorgeous on the PS5. It runs super smooth--during my 50+ hours of gameplay, I only experience one noticeable visual glitch. However, I do think it was because I was, unknowingly, downloading some game update in the background. Other than that, I got perfect quality with no FPS drops.

    The game starts slow but once it sinks its teeth into you, it doesn't loosen its grip. I had to know how the story ends and what happens to each character.

    I think the game did a solid enough job developing each main character. Deacon starts off as some one-man-army, do it himself type guy and slowly realizes he can't do it alone and that he needs the help of his "team." I cared more and more about his story and his friends over the course of the game. The people you are supposed to dislike, you end up disliking. Skizzo sucks and the Colonel is a psycho in disguise.

    The ending--and by that I mean the part AFTER the ending, was genuinely a good twist that I didn't see coming.

    Can't wait for Days Gone 2 and I sincerely hope it the critics give it a fair chance.    … Expand

    Un jeu imparfait, mais qui a profité de nombreux correctifs bien utiles.
    Surtout, un jeu addictif et passionnant : les balades à moto, les combats contre les hordes, le héros attachant, le pitch final bien flippant...
    Bref, un jeu avec quelques défauts techniques mais qui s'en sort avec les honneurs et qui, au final, s'avère être une très plaisante aventure.

My first encounter with one of the hoards was truly frightening and I scooped out of their. Stealth is the way to play, I’m not good enough to go toe to toe with with more than a couple of zombies! There are however some really glitchy parts on the map, one bandit encampment was impossible to clear out as the geometry was totally messed up. I had heard of these bugs before but I was really hoping that by now they would have been fixed. Overall a great game, but get the bugs sorted!… Expand

Combat is fine but I like to snipe everyone and go in stealth and this game gave me that in spades so no complaints. Hordes are terrifying! Oh and I loved the soundtrack...

    I generally never write Metacritic reviews but I had to come here and praise this game. This game literally took over my life for a week because I just could not stop playing it! I sincerely hope they make a sequel to this... I came from Ghost of Tsushima to playing this and I can say without a doubt that the story here left Ghost of Tsushima for dead IMO...    … Expand

По сравнению с невменяемой в вопросе истории и диалогов Horizone: Zero Dawn и беспросветно трешовой Metro Exodus, здесь все несоизмеримо серьёзнее и качественнее: поступки персонажей естественны, и даже в русской локализации их речи в большинстве своём озвучены более чем достойно (несмотря на то, что разговоров тут немерено, и редкая минута игрового времени не сопровождается чьей-нибудь болтовней). Стрельба тут приятная, мотоцикл обладает инерцией и ощущается гораздо лучше, чем где-либо ещё, картинка очень детализированная, а анимация тел и лиц правдоподобная и разнообразная (чего не скажешь, к примеру, о недавнем God of War, где на каждый вид противника приходилось ровно по одной анимации добивания).

    Где Days Gone даёт слабину, так это в деталях, причем проявляется это несистематично - то тут, то там - и в основном в первой трети игры. То нас несколько раз подряд заставляют гнать через всю карту, чтобы обменяться с товарищами парой слов (—Как дела? —Не очень. —Понятно. Миссия окончена). То представленная аутисткой девочка через минуту проявляет себя как вполне адекватный человек. То на нас обрушивают ворох скучных стелс-миссий (при этом дающих огромную фору детсадовскому стелсу Horizone с его подсветкой маршрутов противников и "совершенно случайно" разбросанными вдоль них навясчивыми островками травы "в которой можно прятаться"). Занудных флешбеков вовсе без геймплея (хотя он там явно напрашивается) начинаешь натурально бояться: "Ну только бы не снова они!" Не будь этих редких нелепостей, игра бы оказалась шедевром. Но увы: это просто хороший проект с редкими досадными упущениями, но морем достоинств.    … Expand

Ну и репетативность...без нее в современном опенворлде видимо никуда не деться, т.ч. это наверное даже не недостаток, а особенность жанра. Я очень надеюсь, что Sony даст зеленый свет сиквелу на PS5. Bend studio дотянет техническую часть (ну не может игра так баговать выходя на одной платформе, нет этому оправданий), добавят разнообразия и постановочных моментов хотя бы в сюжетные задания, ну и орды...я думаю PS5 позволит увеличить их численность раза в 2, как минимум. Жду, надеюсь и верю в сиквел.… Expand

I dont care what anyone says, but this game is fantastic great storyline and soundtrack, I even love the mechanics and characters (but tucker) this game has had so many updates to fix it and it no where near a bad game, the story is long but a great one, decon st john is a great character that gets better over time, and the weapons get so much better throughout the game and more types and characters do also this game gets better and better overtime and after I beat it I needed more so I'll be starting new game plus soon! Dont believe the score, definitely when the player base gives it a 8.2 so give it a shot!… Expand

    Gameplay mechanics aren't anything special, but shooting is okay and stealth is brutally intense, similarly the weapon choices are rather lackluster, as they tend to be in games such as tlou 1 & 2, far cry series etc.

    Travelling on the bike is extremely fun, especially when running from, or accidentally INTO a horde of the undead. My one issue with the bike is the fact that the upgrade choices are so dull, and once youve done the basics, pretty insignificant.

    Despite my complaints dont be fooled, its a really enjoyable game, even more so after returning to it after playing the horrific disappointment that is the last of us 2.

    Days Gone est un bon jeu avec un excellent gameplay. Il aurait pu être aussi bon que Red Dead ou Last of us mais la trame narrative n’est pas à la hauteur du gameplay. Tout y était, même le jeu s’essouffle et semble se perdre avec la trame. Dommage! J’ai aimé la mécanique du jeu.

Meine Haltung zu Days Gone liegt findet sich irgendwo dazwischen. Ich hab bei meinem Durchlauf von Days Gone kaum Bugs wahrgenommen. Und gerade auch die Spielewelt, ist sicherlich eine der gelungensten Open Worlds der PS4 Ära. Im Vergleich zur Redundanz eines Assassin's Creed, wo alles irgendwie gleich aussieht, und man sich ohne Karte kaum zurecht finden, kann man Days Gone auch komplett visuell erkunden und findet sich gut zurecht. Etwas das auch ein Red Dead Redemption 2 oder ein Horizon Zero Dawn ausmacht und für mich so etwas wie ein Gradmesser für eine gut gebaute Open World geworden ist. Sicherlich, Charaktere und Story bieten wenig, was man nicht aus zehn Staffeln The Walking Dead nicht schon irgendwie kennt. Dennoch sind Dialoge und Interaktionen der Figuren gut geschrieben, wirken lebensnah und sind durchaus mit der Qualität von Naughty Dog Spielen vergleichbar. Zudem hat Days Gone mit seinen Zombie-Horden, die wir im Endgame des Spiels angehen können, ein ganz eigene Spielmechanik, die Nervenkitzel und Motivation über viele Stunden verspricht. Days Gone ist ein gelungenes Endzeit Zombie Open World Spiel. Vermutlich das beste seine Art in der PS4 Ära. Vielleicht ist das Spiel zwei, drei Jahre zu spät erschienen. Vor allem der langen Entwicklungszeit ist es zuzuschreiben, dass die Kritik sowohl dem Zombie Thema, als auch dem xten Sony Open World Spiel langsam überdrüssig wurde.… Expand

    Perhaps the most underrated PS4 game.
    This game takes the zombie genre and improves on it with hordes of zombies and a well fleshed out open world.
    Initially I thought I wouldn't like the US biker gang characters, but by the end was quite fond of them. Upgrading the Bikes and weapons is fun, with a nice levelling system too. Zombie children is a nice and heartbreaking touch. And    Perhaps the most underrated PS4 game.

    Days gone fue mal recibido en su momento en el 2019 por sus bugs , caídas de frame o carga de texturas , pero ahora en octubre de 2020 lo que ha hecho Bend Studio es de agradecer que le hallan optimizado el juego y hallan metido mas contenido de lo que había.
    Ahora yendo a lo que es el punto principal de lo que es Days gone que son : La historia y Las Hordas, esta bien la historia lo que    Days gone fue mal recibido en su momento en el 2019 por sus bugs , caídas de frame o carga de texturas , pero ahora en octubre de 2020 lo que ha hecho Bend Studio es de agradecer que le hallan optimizado el juego y hallan metido mas contenido de lo que había.
    Ahora yendo a lo que es el punto principal de lo que es Days gone que son : La historia y Las Hordas, esta bien la historia lo que es para mi es disfrutable y tiene sus momentos de clímax o momentos que son memorables y lo que es las hordas me han dejado un poco decepcionado ya que me espera que también fuera el foco principal pero de todas maneras es divertido y un reto disfrutable derrotar todas las hordas, yendo ahora al gameplay para hacer mas corto diría que esta bien echo pero se pudo mejorar lo que pediría es que le dieran un mejor sistema de combate ya que queda a deber, la moto es especial ya que puedes diseñarla a tu gusto y manejar es todo un deleite , lo que es el contenido que tiene puede que para ti sea cansado o lo puedas sentir repetitivo , pero hay algunas misiones secundarias que si me parecen están bien, ahora antes de finalizar quiero decir que los personajes esta bien hechos pero no mas , Deacon no es Nathan Drake, Aloy , Kratos o Joel es mas bien como un personaje mas reservado o mas tranquilo puede que no sea un gran protagonista carismático pero si funciona bien para la historia de Days gone
    Mi conclusión: Days gone no es las grandes exclusivas de PS4 yo diría que esta en una buena exclusiva media , podrá gustarte lo que es el mundo de Days Gone o también podrás dejarlo pero en MI OPINION vale la pena jugar Days Gone.    … Expand

The critical reviews for this game are pretty far off, this game is not even half as bad as some critics are complaining about. The world that we're thrown into is vast and filled with animals, zombies, and humans trying to kill you that you'll always be on your toes. My only complaint would be that the story is a tad bit too long, not as long as Red Dead Redemption II but pretty close to it.     Bend Studio made a great game with a rich, believable and captivating story. They’ve also resisted the lure of trends: there’s no multiplayer, no lootboxes, no “game as a service” plans – just a very solid (and finite) singleplayer experience. That makes it a rare gem these days, maybe one of the last of its kind. [Issue#238, p.42]

    At the beginning of the game you’ll feel like you've already played this game... then it will let you go for a while only to return with reinforcements (and lots of bugs). However, Days Gone has a couple of pleasant moments, that can't be denied. [Issue#295]

    I expect and hope for a sequel. Just know that going into this game that there is a lot of tedious nonsense to pad out a really good game to make it feel more worth every dollar, much to its detriment. I want to give this game a better score because the best moments are so good, but the large portion of this game is so bloody tiring that I just can’t.
