    Finished the game, it has a ton of problems, but overall it is okay.

    The story is good, but drags on for way too long, and the first two camps of the game are not enjoyable at all, you're working for really annoying, bad people that you want to kill, so the motivation to do the numerous tasks assigned is really lacking, especially in the second camp, thankfully it makes up for it from    Finished the game, it has a ton of problems, but overall it is okay.

    The story is good, but drags on for way too long, and the first two camps of the game are not enjoyable at all, you're working for really annoying, bad people that you want to kill, so the motivation to do the numerous tasks assigned is really lacking, especially in the second camp, thankfully it makes up for it from camp three onward, and gets better from there, but they honestly should have cut one of the first two, it went on for way too long.

    Characters are a big problem in this game for me, the main ones start off as uninteresting, and are completely rude asses to everyone, but they get better much later in the game (same with the new side characters), however since that also took too long to happen, it makes the first half of the game feel almost like torture, I kept pushing through though because I read that it gets better, and it did, just not enough.

    The combat is the best part of the game for me, it is very fun most of the time, but it gets repetitive near the end, with what is essentially the same missions, repeating again, and again, to what feels like no end, and honestly weapon upgrades should be more easily achievable since missions get too repetitive, a quarter of them should've been cut, or made different.

    This game suffers from a few bad mechanics as well, and has plenty of bugs. There are numerous tracking missions that lead you to a location, but from there you're left wandering around with inaccurate controller vibrations meant to lead you to the next clue, but it doesn't work most of the time so it sucks, and there are bugs where:
    - enemies phase through the earth
    - had plenty of times where characters had stop their lines in the middle of a sentence, had to enter menu then back to get them to continue
    - a radio call bug where call stops at crash and continues muffled while off bike then finishes when you get on, missing what was said
    - enemies freezing in place
    - game freeze on loading screens
    - character not entering bike with button hold, unless in perfect place next to it

    Also, having to find fuel cans is hell, half the skills are useless, or make very minimal difference, requiring you to grind levels and side quests for way to long to get the good skills, a skill to mark fuel cans on map would have been more useful than many of them, and plants are way too sparse until after camp three, when the density of plants of items gets just right.

    The next entry, if there is one, should focus more on bug fixes, and QoL improvements like option to auto-refuel, fix bike and auto-refill guns at slightly greater cost when entering camps, greater stamina regen when standing still, skills with more impact, gear, fun items, and enabling more customization, thus more motivation to complete the missions, and having more fun while doing so.    … Expand

    Ok, I read some of the user's reviews and I can see that a good amount of them giving this game praises to support hates around "The Last of Us Part II" ... First of all I do not think "The Last of Us "is comparable with this game in any kind (Except the zombie stuff).

    The story of this game is so generic and not special in any way, I mean they tried to do something special but they're failed, in my opinion. for example, they tried to show you some emotions and deep personalities of the main characters with unnecessary and weird flashbacks and gameplays, but simply, it did not work at all.
    For example, you go a long way to Sarah's memorial stone to simply talking about what just happened, and it's so stupid! Many things in this game are just there for nothing, and they did not advance the story.
    Another example that explains the lack of storytelling is Rose missions; You saved a kid's life twice and your character has strong feelings about her like the story should go somewhere with her, and suddenly, the game forgets about her completely and kills her with some stupid explanations ...
    There are so many gameplay-wise potentials, but I think storytelling affects that as well, Missions are so empty and sometimes you can not believe how a game quest can be so simple and short!
    Overall, I do not think this game is the worst game I ever played, but it was not good at all!

    Meanwhile, in "The last of Us Part II" I think, they're pushing so many boundaries with the story and that's (again) one of the best games I ever played in my life ... it's not perfect for sure, but its story will always be with me, and I think that's a job well done by Naughty Dog.

    Es un juego normal jugabilidad normal no destaca en algo en específico pero para ser mediana mente jugable hay que descargar todos los parches por que esta roto amas no poder Yo recomendaría este juego por $350 o menos

    Сразу скажу: игру пройти полностью мне далось с трудом, ибо после ~10 часов игры она вам начинает надоедать, так как ничего нового встречаться особо не будет. Ну, не буду тянуть кота за уши, распишу всё кратко и по пунктам.

    1. Геймплей Ничего особенного, геймплей как геймплей: стрельба -> увороты -> бег. 8/10 2.     Знаю, что это игра ими славилась, но лично я ничего, что мешает геймплею и дальнейшему прохождению не обнаружил. 9/10

    5. Мелкие детали
    О наболевшем. В игре их практически нет. Был один квест (а похожих квестов в этой игре будут ВСЕ), где нужно было убить человека и принести в качестве док-ва его шляпу (это не спойлер, не переживайте, ибо все персонажи, которых вы спасёте в доп. квестах практически не будут появляться в игре, а уж тем более влиять как то на дальнейший основной сюжет). И что вы думаете? Нет, ну как бы шляпу я подобрал, но она всё равно осталась у него на голове. Короче - 4/10

    6. Основной сюжет
    Сюжет хорош, в некоторых местах, конечно, бывает предсказуемым, но в целом - не плохо. 8/10

    7. Доп. квесты
    Самое УБОГОЕ в игре! Доху*ллиард этих однообразных квестов: принеси или убей. Их добавили просто для того, чтобы затянуть игру и снизить ей оценку. Именно из-за них она и становится такой длинной и скучной. 0 разнообразия. 1/10.

    8. Фемки и ЛГБТ
    Ну как бы нет, ну как бы да. Женский персонажи не др*чибельны, ЛГБТ присутствует, но это вы поймете во время титров. 6/10

    9. Физика
    Самое приятное в этой игре. 10/10

    10. Анимации
    По ГОСТу, 9/10

    11. Доп. оценка - 5/10 за некоторые бесящие мелочи и ОЧЕНЬ долгое прохождение. Под конец уже на автомате как робот завершаешь игру, ибо ты уже будешь знать, что тебе надо будет делать.

    Итог. Если посчитать среднее арефм. число, то получится 7-ка. Но для этой игры это много, поэтому я скинул бал. 6-ка вполне заслуженная.    … Expand

    Essentially the game boils down to guy on bike that needs constant fixing and care. I'm a fan of general slow progressing in games but I don't like it forced upon me in this way. It's like if someone thought adding TLOU into a massive open world with gameplay hinderances was actually a good idea.

    Visually it's a great looking game, I have nothing bad to say about it's visual make up.    Essentially the game boils down to guy on bike that needs constant fixing and care.     I understand where people would like the game, some people can forgive being trapped and forced to play in certain ways however personally I prefer freedom and find very little quality in stuff like breakable weapons, breakable vehicles and being forced to do things the game wants to get anywhere. I mean sure you need to draw a line where you have to follow the rules to some point but Days Gone ultimately is an everlasting set of rules to follow with almost no freedom at all, if you want your freedom you'll never progress in this game.

    Unfortunately I'd rather be playing Haze on PS3 than playing Days Gone.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This Game is a mixed pot. I really liked the Story and the Characters. They told an excellent narrative and a believeable apocalyptical scenario. The Game takes a really long time and could be splitted in 3 acts. The First 1/3 feels a bit slowly but the atmosphere keeps you playing. After that the game begins to shine all around Camp Iron Mike, this section was so much fun and very well written. The last act starts little boring but it all ends up well then. I really liked the lots of cutscenes even if they are quite short (but this also leads to a big problem).

    For the Gameplay I can say I didnt liked the Gunplay at all, cause the hit feedback was very poor. Also the sidequests were all the same over and over again. But this can be done better easily in a next part. Also i wished we had a bigger section to play in a big City.

    The real bad part of this game and only reason I have to give a 6/10 is the brutally bad performance for a lot of the times. Its horrendous how the technique site of this game after all these patches is. FPS dropping like hell sometimes and without restarting the Game it will get worse. And then the loading screens, they take you often out of moments, especially if they show you a very little cutscene, which is introduced by a longer loading screen (in some rare moments).

    All in all i would definitly recommend this game, in its main party it is a brutally good Game and a lovely story. But you have to be good with Performance problems.    … Expand

    Very buggy experience, had to replay areas over and over, restarting the game etc. Also, this game is WAAAAAAAY too long. Get on with it! (Nice story though).

    + Персонажи интересные, за некоторыми хочется наблюдать. Сюжет слишком затянут, много клише, нелогичности, спасают интересные персонажи, химия между Сарой и Диконом, дружеские отношения Дикона и Бухаря, Рикии - то зачем интересно наблюдать, антагонист заявляется сразу, он неинтересен.
    + Качественно выполнен байк, приятно на нём ездить, дрифтовать и его модифицировать.
    + Игра выглядит    + Персонажи интересные, за некоторыми хочется наблюдать.     + Противостояние огромному количеству фриков - орды.

    - Из-за того, что это версия пс4 есть долгие загрузки, порой происходит загрузка между катсценами.
    - Добавление совершенно ненужной механики с заправкой бензина, которая только увеличивает время без того итак длительной игры, сильно раздражает в начале, причём в сюжетных миссиях у тебя бензин бесконечный, а в побочках нет, такое ощущение, что разрабы могли убрать эту механику, но не стали. В конце игры нехватку бензина не чувствуешь, так как бак уже прокачан либо можно заправляться спокойно в лагерях, тк кредитов много.
    -Открытый финал, нет точных ответов.
    - На старте прохождения игра не щадит тебя, тк я начал играть на высоком уровне сложности, не было много патронов, запас сил тратится очень быстро, а убить можно только в голову с одного выстрела, иначе примерно 7-8 патронов уходить только на одного фрика
    или человека, привет Борис, патронов не много, а ты в свою очередь за пару ударов отлетаешь, что я считаю плохим балансом, также в начале нет нормального холодного оружия, даётся только нож, но с ним одного противника будешь год долбить, честно хотелось дропнуть в начале прохождения из-за такой системы.
    -Кривое колесо снаряжения, сколько раз я плевался, пытаясь выбрать тот или иной предмет в разгар драки, даже к концу игры толком привыкнуть не получилось.
    -За всю игру не запомнил нормальных композиций, такое ощущение, что их вообще нет, кроме начальной, но она столько раз повторяется, что уже приелась, да и при битве с ордой ещё одна есть.
    -Система дарк соулса, где кроме кувырка ничего нет, почему нельзя было добавить уклонение, тк это кувырок не всегда спасает от получения урона.
    - Кто-нибудь пользовался арбалетом вообще, зачем он добавлен, если занимает тот слот, что и снайперская винтовка. Арбалет даже с одного выстрела в голову не убивает, я конечно понимаю, что его можно прокачать, но чтобы это сделать, нужно прокачивать лагерь, а в начале игры уж лучше взять снайперскую винтовку, а про арбалет забыть, как я и сделал.
    - Тупой стелс в миссиях с Брайаном во время которого нужно бегать из одного куста в другой,
    чтобы подслушать учёного.    … Expand

    I have a love/hate relationship with this game: the story starts up pretty bland but does get better later, the gameplay is just horrible at first by gets better as well, and the open world is pretty good. Overall I'd say the game isn't bad though it also has a lot of technical flaws.

    Far, far too long. Saccharine ending and mawkish dialogue throughout. Killing zombies is fun, though. Excellent graphics and interesting protagonist. Ultimately, I'd skip this one.

    Very boring and repetitive. I pre-ordered this, and regretted this straight away. I am blaming SONY for all these BS titles like Death Stranding, Days Gone, TLOU2, etc. Uncharted Lost Legacy, Infamous SS.
    I am selling all my PS consoles and games and going PC only. TLOU2 was the last drop.

    I was kinda disappointed mid game. The open world map is massive, and I like that, however, I don't think it complements with the story and gameplay itself. The gameplay is okay, but it got boring since the main quests got kind of redundant. Stealth kills are not as good as other games. The graphics are not the best, but it is bearable (especially that the game is full of glitches). TheI was kinda disappointed mid game.     Меня восхищает открытый динамичный мир, как он меняется, как под колёсами плещется грязь - он очень красивый, отдельной похвалы заслуживает фоторежим, мне нравится им пользоваться. Но в какой-то момент этим миром уже становится тяжело наслаждаться    Вот знаете есть фильмы с оценкой 6+, вроде ещё не 7, но некоторым может вкатить? Вот тут та же самая аналогия.     Касательно сюжета, он нудный. Действие игры тянется на протяжении чуть больше трети года, и за это время нет никакого ощущения движения сюжета, потому что все квесты, как основные, так и побочные – однообразные. Я не почувствовал изменения в персонаже, что я какую-то арку прошёл. Всё осталось ровно на своих местах, просто вы становитесь более осведомлённым о ситуации в целом. Да, вы получаете огромные толпы зомби, но вы практически беспомощны перед ними. Я проходил игру на скорую руку, на лёгком уровне сложности, и даже здесь возникли трудности из-за постоянной нехватки ресурсов, непонимания откуда их брать. У вас только 2 способа расправится с ордой: 1) Закидать её всем метательным оружием в вашем арсенале, И вам очень повезёт, если орда маленькая и умрёт сразу, 2) Закидать орду небольшим количеством гранат, напалмовых коктейлей, потом бегать от них несколько часов неигрового времени, и пытаться взорвать бегущую за вами ораву близстоящими бочками. Самое главное, что игра вас принуждает всё делать в одиночку, вы не можете попросить помощи, чтобы вам помогли, вы просто должны уничтожить несколько сотен фриков самостоятельно.
    Остаточными сюжетными заданиями, после основной компании, студия оставила задел на будущее, но по факту это хороший плот-твист, который нужно было раскрывать ранее в сюжете, чтобы сохранить хоть какой-то интерес к происходящему.    … Expand

    Es una buena exclusiva de PS4 , pero aun así no es lo mejor que puedes jugar en esta consola,pero aun con esas es el mejor juego de zombies exclusivo de PS4. Juégalo vas a pasar un buen rato.

    Bad graphics, terrible optimization. Boring story, after the middle of the game I think when this is all over. Bad physics and character animation. Zombies are stupid, a lot of restrictions, does not give a flight of fancy. The only thing that amuses is to kill a crowd of zombies, but it gets boring after 30 minutes. Passed the main story, deleted the game.

    Its just tooooo long. last 23 of the game I skipped all cutscenes because of boringness and annoyed flow. Plot became not interesting at all.

Skill system is rather boring and unnecesary, feels like Far Cry 3-5. Shooting is bad, taking a look after your bike is rather tedious. No jump which is very inconvenient. Map is boring and lifeless. The drama soon gets so repetetive and you've probably seen this hundred times in other zombie games or movies. Fighting system basically doesn't exist you can only hit and roll, just like in Uncharted.

    The game could've been much better if there were more types of enemies, more scripted moments, better figthing mechanics. So far the game feels quite generic at best. I've done about 10 hours and stopped playing without a second thought

    1. Story is cheesy and the bikers' personalities is a bunch of stereotypes by it does its job 6/10
    2. Graphics are ok, but everything is colorless and monotonous and boring as in GTA IV: TLAD 6/10
    3. Gameplay is generic and doesn't have any variety. You can either kill a zombie from the back in the stealth mode, you can fight with them which means press one button and roll and some QTE, and you can drive your motorcycle. That's it nothing more nothing less. The city is boring and doesn't give you any reasons for exploration. 6/10
    4. Interface's ok 6/10

    You might enjoy the first few hours, but then you realize you've already seen most of what the game has to offer. The zombies quickly become insignificant pieces of scenery on your repetitive bike rides back and forth to kill some guy or fetch some whatever. Where's the fear, the tension, the surprises or scares? The hordes are interesting at first, but once you've seen one, you've seen them all.

    The game does deserve some points for the well-designed atmosphere, and really capturing what an open-road motorcycle ride would feel like in the zombie apocalypse. But that's about all the credit I can give it.

    First %60 is fine but after that it is so boring and repetitive. The game has a average-good story but presentation is so bad, disjointed and unsuccessful. What a frustration with all that resources. Anyway i think it is worth to play but my suggestion is when you play, play with many break.

(this is my review which is being written after earning the platinum trophy for Days Gone) After hearing how this game was extremely under appreciated at launch i was very excited to jump into Days Gone. I was mildly disappointed. The story takes so long to get interesting. when it picks up it gets really good. but by that point i just want the game to be over. The story alone is easily a 8/10. but the games poor gunplay and memorable open world bring it down by a lot. The entire game is basically an errand simulator, running jobs for the various camp leaders. doing bounties, taking out enemy camps, and rescuing hostages, all for **** camp owners (except Iron Mike he was the one defend camp leader, rip) who don’t give a damn about the people in their camps. the first half of the games slow boring story is taken up by keeping boozer alive. the next half is still more errands until you learn that Deacons wife is still alive and you know where she is. the last 1/4 of the game is working with the militia to blend in so you can help break out Sarah. The last stretch of the game is easily the best part. Destroying the militia camp that has done sarah so wrong and pissed everyone off for the time in that camp. Even that segment of the game is held back by the terrible gunplay. managing the bike is a pain in the ass. that’s all about the bike.

    The idea of this game taking place in a post apocalyptic world is there at the very beginning, but slowly goes away the more you progress. With the merchants selling everything you could possibly need. Ammo, guns, gasoline for your bike, and everything you could possibly need in the apocalypse. If you want to play a good zombie type game. there’s plenty of better options than this, i would recommend dying light, or the last of us. Overall decent story, Terrible, unoriginal gun combat, lame open world, and **** Colonel Garret. 6/10    … Expand

    Unfortunately the story felt too long and predictable and I only could get emotionally invested in it in the final part of the game, with special mention to the incredibly boring flashbacks. The antagonists are not very interesting and didn't provide any surprises or meaningful plot twists.

    Nevertheless the game can be fun and I had a good time playing it in most of the times. Riding with your bike throughout beautiful landscapes felt really nice. The art style and character models and scenarios are top tier, with special mention to the actor who plays the main protagonist, who was excellent and really put his heart in the role.

    The problems start when you realise the lack of polishing in most game mechanics and the absurd lack of mission variety. It really feels that you are kept doing the same 3 missions over and over gain during the whole game, being that either a variation of tracking a bounty, eliminate an enemy camp or bring an item to someone.

    Stealth felt pointless and too repetitive and always with the same outcomes. Character progression is too linear and the skills you unlock are not very exciting. Most of them feel like things you should already be able to do since the beginning. The gun play is enjoyable, with a decent but yet limited variety of weapons that don't play very different from each other. Most of times it feels the game just makes you grind for more powerful versions of the same guns.

    While the open world is cool and looks great it was not well designed for exploration. There is nothing to do outside of scripted mission. The eventual question marks that will pop in your map will only lead you to a limited variety of boring and recycled encounters with animals, bandit ambushes or a corpse to be looted. At some point I just stopped chasing them. The day/night cycle could have been used better. As far as I could tell it only alters enemy populations.

    Now, the horde system is really good. Until later in the game they feel really threatening and taking down your first horde is on of the emotional highlights of the game. Once you start doing that frequently you can develop your own tactics and have fun with it.

    Overall I feel this is an above average good game that was far from achieving it's full potential but yet I look forward to play a sequel.

    Played on PS5. Very addictive gameplay loop where you just scavenge cautiously for upgrades, trying to deal quickly with the dangers. Fairly easy. Good looking visuals. But a horribly shallow story and way too much cut scenes or parts where you walk around during some "emotional" conversation.

    The gunplay is better in Toy Story on PS1.
    The narrative is very predictable.
    HIGHLY repetitive (and I cannot stress this enough)

    PROS:
    Fun to pick up and play in short bursts
    The bike is fun to ride (but then breaks after 1 jump)

    I would not recommend this game in its current state/price.

    Stamina is also very limited. You constantly run out of stamina, especially in a fight. And same for ammunition - constantly out of ammo. See a pattern here? These "survival" systems are just constantly frustrating you and ruining the potential fun you can have with the game.
    There ought to be a setting - no bike damage and no fuel. It is never fun managing this stuff.

    The game looks great and has some interesting enough story and gameplay, but it is seriously weakend by the extremely annoying survival systems.
    The game is also way to long and has a lot of boring fetch-quests, where all you do is "go here and kill XYZ or pickup XYZ then head back".
    Some of the main-line quests are really good though, but there are to much "filler" stuff in here.
    I picked it up for 20$ which I would say was an OK deal, but Im frustrated that I never got to beat the game. There is one point when the game could have easily called it quits and it would have been more effective but instead it continues with yet another camp and what should have been the climax is dragged out to more pointless filler just to make the game longer...    … Expand

    Even if the game didn't have horrible performance issues it would still be mediocre at best. It has terrible shooting, weak stealth, and as basic melee combat as is possible. You can make those complaints about other games like the last of us (1) but they have characters and story to pick up the slack. This game's characters are unbearable and it's story is predictable but told at a snail's pace. I wasted money on this because people just couldn't admit the critics finally got one right, and I'm saying that having gotten it on sale for 20$    … Expand

    Wow this is a new low. You start the game with no story, no introduction. nothing, just the guy's wife takes a helicopter. 1 min and you are already doing repetitive missions.

    Edit: been playing 15 hours and all I did was look after a sick boozer by doing repetitive quests. Literally nothing happens in the story but sprinkling a little cutscene here and there.

Underrated game that deserves some attention for sure. Shame the performance wasn't up to scratch on the legacy PS4.

    2021 update installed game on internal factory default HD and brought digital version. So no more disc anymore (traded). Performance seems to have improved. It's not great on the legacy PS4, but it is better than it was before. I'd of give this a 8/10 if the optimization was good. I read the creator crying about that we are not going to get a DG2, because enough people didn't buy DG1 at full price? Maybe optimize the game at launch cry baby creator?     If you're desperate for a long, open-world, mission heavy game then by all means sink your time into this routine, sometimes buggy zombie ( freaker ) adventure. Voice acting's pretty good and it looks quite nice but the script's awful and the dull busy-work missions together with your fuel thirsty motorbike make this a rental or bargain buy at best.

    Я хотел купить MK11, но огромная жадность WB оттолкнула меня от покупки. И меня радует, что Sony не идёт на поводу тренда - F2P механики в платных играх.

    Минусы:
    -Оптимизация.
    Подзагрузки текстур, появление объектов перед лицом, проваливание в пол, падения fps, вылеты. И это после патча 1.07.Один раз консоль и вовсе выключилась. Такого я не ожидал от эксклюзива Sony. Если у вас ps4 slim. То вы будете страдать.
    -Затянутость
    В игре много филеров. Первые же 10 часов можно было просто убрать. Это настоящая скука.
    -Второстепенные квесты
    Они однотипны, будто я играл в MMO. Приди, убей/освободи, вернись. Лучше бы вы старались над качеством, а не количеством.

    Лучше бы ваша игра была на 15-20 часов, зато насыщенной. Лучше бы второстепенного контента было меньше, зато он бы был разнообразней и интереснее. Лучше бы открытый мир был меньше, а графика чуть хуже, зато игра была бы более оптимизированной. Я считаю, что Bend Studio нужно было обуздать свои амбиции, ведь затянутость, низкое качество второстепенного контента и, в данной игре это самый плохой аспект, плохая оптимизация делают вашу игру только хуже.     Great game not another experience like this one!! Love the motorcycle side missions could have been given better but that’s not enough to stop me from loving the game.

    The Bike controls terribly, hampered by the constant need for fuel, maybe that's working as intended, so you can improve it, but it's an onerous mechanic.

    Melee weapons are nearly fully degraded after 2 or 3 kills, necessitating the purchase of a repair skill (which is buggy) right from the start. But melee itself is quite satisfying compared to ranged.

    Very limited inventory at the start, but disappointing loot seems to make that a moot point.

    Shooting is not great to be honest, especially in the heat of battle

    There are many older more polished, similar games out there, with which this game could contend successfully, if it were more polished, but unfortunately it isn't.

    A good open world zombie game, which is a rare enough genre, worth giving it a shot,, but I'll be trading it in to preorder something coming soon.    … Expand

    clearly an over-ambitious game for a "first" take of a company that only made ports until now.

    the acting is awful, most of the game-play mechanics are bland, but it was a good try :|

    The game was amazing it was so fun I love the open world zombie games. Then the glitches started I couldn’t see where I was going because of the textures I was riding out of my camp and my bike blew up this Would be an amazing game if they fixed all the bugs

    Basic PS4 is just too weak to run this game, and that is little odd because this is PS4 exclusive. They have made this game so long that they should know how much power PS4 has. Some mechanism are great and I like most of the story, but things that are bad, are just too bad.

    I was playing normally then i saw freaks or zombies spawn then i don't know what happened i just didn't take damage and there is a good amount of glitches in the game any thing but that the game is cool and a tip upgrade your fuel tank

    As for the game, if u love open world game & didnt mind about generic open world game mission structure(fetch quest, leveling up, etc) its is a good game

    Very meh, find fhe controls to be poor and lack of narrative that sticks. Got it for free so can’t complain but feels very hollow.

    After all the bug fixes (not all the bugs fixed) this is close to the definition of mediocrity. Tiresome, predictable gameplay and story, tedious fuel management, still heavily glitched after much patching. Worth playing for free but even then gets tired pretty quickly

    The game has also added a lot of free DLC since release, which is good.
    The menus look really good and are effective and are really easy to learn.

    But thats about it for positives.

    The story sucks, its way too unengaging nad boring. Nothing ever happens and the characters are all the same, generic good people who you are supposed to relate to, but they are way too one-sided to be believable.

    The progression is also way too slow. The guns are revealed to you very slowly and so are the bike upgrades.

    The missions are just generic things you need to do like "kill this guy", "kill these people", "get this item for me".

    The loading screens are REALLY long and the bugs in this game are very noticeable and distracting. Way too poor for a AAA-game.

    The variety in guns are not very good either because by the endgame the only guns you can carry are SMGs, AKs and MGs because those are the only ones that can take out a horde, if you ever encounter one.

    Yeah, it has a lot of issues but still, the core gameplay is good enough and the game is very big and will keep you playing it for a long time.    … Expand

    But the story was where it sank.
    Oh so many places in the story I had to stop playing because I got so angry with how the character reacted, what actions he took and decisions he made. Even the ending as an example.
    Our characters plan to save his wife from a hostage situation was to just walk in pointing a gun at the guy without him knowing and then just show yourself and give up your sidearm? Are you ****ing kidding me?

    Gameplay wonderful.

For example how the game harshly changes from gameplay to cut scenes throws me out of experience everytime, it is so badly done like a PS3 era game but saying this is an insult to The Last of Us and other well done PS3 games.     I have disdain for this game. The first 12 hours are a complete slog. It's a very low quality game compared to PlayStation's typically fantastic exclusives. Its current user score is just denial by a group of people who disliked video reviews of the game before it even game out. This game is a 7 at best.

    This game is sh*t, I don't understand why people love this game. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing a game that was made in 2007, clunky animations, lots of pointless missions, very long loading between cutscene and gameplay, weak characters, worst mission design. this game is the most boring experience I've ever had in a long time. If you don't like poorly made games don't play days gone

    I don't get what's so special about this game, it offers nothing new or innovative at all. It's a decent zombie experience but there are way better video games out there to enjoy before checking out days gone. I felt i wasted my money on sth that is not bad! But not anything new or interesting as well.

    Bend Studio made a great game with a rich, believable and captivating story. They’ve also resisted the lure of trends: there’s no multiplayer, no lootboxes, no “game as a service” plans – just a very solid (and finite) singleplayer experience.     At the beginning of the game you’ll feel like you've already played this game... then it will let you go for a while only to return with reinforcements (and lots of bugs). However, Days Gone has a couple of pleasant moments, that can't be denied. [Issue#295]

    I expect and hope for a sequel. Just know that going into this game that there is a lot of tedious nonsense to pad out a really good game to make it feel more worth every dollar, much to its detriment. I want to give this game a better score because the best moments are so good, but the large portion of this game is so bloody tiring that I just can’t.
