    Ps4 pro .
    Its took a couple hrs to really get into the game with controls and learning curve but once did i'm really enjoying the game.

    It looks amazing on ps4 Pro and is game is huge .
    I put many hrs into the game.
    A Must buy !

    My first Platinum. Will tell you a lot about this game. One of the best experiences of my life. This isn't a game for some journalist who have to rush games as their job. It's a survival game, and should be played calmly, which I did and found it to be hands down, the best open world game I played in my life.

    Ok, I read some of the user's reviews and I can see that a good amount of them giving this game praises to support hates around "The Last of Us Part II" ... First of all I do not think "The Last of Us "is comparable with this game in any kind (Except the zombie stuff).

    The story of this game is so generic and not special in any way, I mean they tried to do something special but they're failed, in my opinion. for example, they tried to show you some emotions and deep personalities of the main characters with unnecessary and weird flashbacks and gameplays, but simply, it did not work at all.
    For example, you go a long way to Sarah's memorial stone to simply talking about what just happened, and it's so stupid! Many things in this game are just there for nothing, and they did not advance the story.
    Another example that explains the lack of storytelling is Rose missions; You saved a kid's life twice and your character has strong feelings about her like the story should go somewhere with her, and suddenly, the game forgets about her completely and kills her with some stupid explanations ...
    There are so many gameplay-wise potentials, but I think storytelling affects that as well, Missions are so empty and sometimes you can not believe how a game quest can be so simple and short!
    Overall, I do not think this game is the worst game I ever played, but it was not good at all!

    Meanwhile, in "The last of Us Part II" I think, they're pushing so many boundaries with the story and that's (again) one of the best games I ever played in my life ... it's not perfect for sure, but its story will always be with me, and I think that's a job well done by Naughty Dog.

    Прошел игру через год после релиза на PS4 Pro. Это не шедевр, просто хорошая приятная игра в открытом мире про зомби. Есть конечно незначительные баги, но они не бесят. Выбил платину, наиграл более 40 часов.

    I picked up Days Gone on PS5 from the PS Collection. I always wanted to try it but the review kept me away. When I learned it was going to be free on PS5 I knew I had to give it a shot.

    First off, the game is gorgeous on the PS5. It runs super smooth--during my 50+ hours of gameplay, I only experience one noticeable visual glitch. However, I do think it was because I was, unknowingly, downloading some game update in the background. Other than that, I got perfect quality with no FPS drops.

    The game starts slow but once it sinks its teeth into you, it doesn't loosen its grip. I had to know how the story ends and what happens to each character.

    I think the game did a solid enough job developing each main character. Deacon starts off as some one-man-army, do it himself type guy and slowly realizes he can't do it alone and that he needs the help of his "team." I cared more and more about his story and his friends over the course of the game. The people you are supposed to dislike, you end up disliking. Skizzo sucks and the Colonel is a psycho in disguise.

    The ending--and by that I mean the part AFTER the ending, was genuinely a good twist that I didn't see coming.

    Can't wait for Days Gone 2 and I sincerely hope it the critics give it a fair chance.    … Expand

    I played this on a PS5 Digital for the first time and was a very intense experience . The story is great and the progress is well balanced . The zombie or freaker hordes are an impressive site as well as a terrifying experience . I hope they make a sequel as this seems popular with seasoned gamers that appreciate the horde technology and bike mechanics over many types of terrain .

    Played this game when it came on PS NOW. The technical issues are very minor and mostly fixed. I loved every second of this, which is saying a lot in this era of dull and similar open world games. Days Gone does a good job of its story, keeps the player engaged with a robust upgrade/skill system and the gameplay loop never gets old. The hordes and their carefully programmed AI is just thePlayed this game when it came on PS NOW. The technical issues are very minor and mostly fixed. I loved every second of this, which is saying a lot in this era of dull and similar open world games. Days Gone does a good job of its story, keeps the player engaged with a robust upgrade/skill system and the gameplay loop never gets old.     Overall nothing special, but it can be pretty fun zombie shooter. It would work so much better on PC, just for 60fps (or more) and better graphics alone. Graphically it actually looks nice, but it can always be better. Overall it feels underrated and i feel like Sony would have nothing to lose, to release it on PC and it would sell well.

    I want this for PC so badly, i love this game, but it would work so, so, so much better on PC. There could be even bigger hordes and framerate wouldn't go below 30. Right now even when driving framerate can go very low on regular ps4. I guess it's perfectly playable on PS5 now, but even then, on PC they could make graphics even better and 60fps or more would be amazing.

    I like the story, characters and all of this biker stuff. The gameplay is good too, but swamp mechanics, the main feature of the game need more work on it. Hope to sequel with no past-gen limitations, bigger zombie hordes and more different ways to deal with them.

From taking out an outpost stealthily to massacring 500 zombies in a nail biting fight for survival, this game has it all. The story took me by surprise. It was seriously emotional, well written and by the end I seriously cared about the characters and theAn utterly breathtaking, heartfelt and criminally underrated game. Ponto forteEste jogo foi uma grande surpresa pra mim. Confesso que fui jogar sem muita expectativa, um mundo pós apocalíptico zumbi já é algo tão clichê e batido, achei que o jogo seria mais um genérico do gênero. Mas a imersão do jogo foi a primeira coisa que mais me atingiu, é incrível como eles conseguiram criar um mundo tão envolvente e com uma atmosfera única nas florestas de Oregon. Ponto forte também pra trilha sonora do jogo que é impecável, e combina sempre com o momento em que você se encontra no jogo. O enredo vai se desenrolando lentamente, mas sempre envolto em um mistério agoniante onde é quase impossível não desejar saber o desenrolar dela, e isso me prendeu de forma como poucos jogos fizeram. A dublagem em português está maravilhosa, tem até a voz brasileira do Rick Grimmes no game, com a dublagem do Boozer.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Aaaaa another zombie game. Yeah, that's says probably everyone who found out about Days Gone. But Days Gone is different from other zombie games. First of all, it's open-world, you could say rpg. There are a few rpg elements, such as collecting parts to repair a motorcycle, or making first aid kits, bombs, etc. What changes this game, however, is a story that is in any case the same cliché type: I have to save my wife and friends. Yes, the whole story revolves around this. You will lose your wife at the beginning of the apocalypse. Along the way, you will also meet a cult of worshiping zombies, called Freakers in Days Gone. What is also a very fun activity are the hordes. Probably everyone understands what it is. You have to come to a certain place where the horde occurs and just shoot it all. It's also nice that when I was fighting a horde that had about 450 freakers (the biggest horde in the game), I didn't get cut at all and the game ran at a stable 30fps. Which usually seems small, but unfortunately the whole game runs at 30fps. Most people also say that the second half of the game where you get south is more fun. And yes, that's right. You unlock a much bigger and better arsenal of weapons and that's just great. Anyway, what annoys me about the game are the side queasts. Not that there are few of them, but there are perhaps only three species. Either you come and beat the bandit camp, sometimes you're assigned to free the prisoners. Or you're chasing a bandit on a motorcycle. That's all. There is nothing more. In any case, this can still be overlooked because perhaps every major mission is fun. Of course, both the story and the ending are clichéd, when you save your wife and beat the camp of the soldier where your wife was before (if you have all the camps at confidence level three before the final mission, you will start different cut scenes which has no impact at the end of the game). Anyway, what fascinated me much more are the secret endings. One you run is so that you have to have the game basically 100% complete. You must complete all the side missions beaten by all the hordes, and collected by all the syringes NERO. So you will have two secret ends. One is that Lisa will come to you and you will see that she has also become a biker, which is not very interesting because the whole main mission of the industry with Lisa is boring and unnecessarily long. But the second one is very, very interesting. You will visit O'Brian for the last time. (NERO explorer who helped you find your wife). And you will find that he has been a freak all along. But much more developed. There are three types of zombies in the game: Normal, Sprinters and Very Strong, Breakers. So O'Brian is some fourth kind of mutated freak. And that's exactly what we could meet in Days Gone 2. Anyway, I really enjoyed Days Gone and for the money, this game will bring you hours and hours of fun. I originally bought this game on release but it wasn't as compelling at the time. Since playing on Ps5, I haven't stopped playing. Up to 30 or so hours now and story still not finished with lots of side quests. It might be the increased framerate to 60fps (which by theYes I'm late to review but I only got the game via Playstation Plus Collection, which comes with the PS5 enhanced patch. I originally bought this game on release but it wasn't as compelling at the time. Since playing on Ps5, I haven't stopped playing. Up to 30 or so hours now and story still not finished with lots of side quests.     I played this game on my PS5 in 60FPS via the PS+ Collection and wow this game is just phenomenal. I know it had its problems when it first came out but now its a very smooth experience and a fantastic open world game with a really good story and characters.

    Loved the game. The story is very good and way underrated. The gameplay is a lot of fun. The open world is great. The setting is very interesting. The characters are mostly very likeable. I played it recently and hence didn't have any bugs the game had when it released. So in 2020 I can highly recommend the game.

    This is definitely the best game of this year. It stands at one level with Red Dead Redemption 2 for me. Deakon is my favorite game character from now on, I also love Boozer, Ricky, Sara, and Iron Mike... Everyone is so alive! Even freacking Skizo. They've become my buddies after 40 hours of playing. I miss them already. Can't wait for the second part!

    The last third is very good, and the epilogue is great.

    *GAMEPLAY*: Days Gone has a very fun gameplay, a little rough at first, but when you get used to it, it doesn't present problems. Even so, it can be improved a lot.
    Human AI is a joke at times.

    *GRAPHICS*: Removing the texture loading problems, Days Gone is remarkable in the graphics. In the artistic section it's quite normal.

    *SOUND*: Approved, simply. Days Gone in the sound doesn't stand out at all.

    *INNOVATION*: Days Gone does not reinvent the wheel in absolutely nothing, but it brings an interesting world.    … Expand

    Fantastic game with unique hordes that makes your adrenaline pump. The story is also good and the secret ending hints that more is coming. Basically, if you are a fan of survival horrors and open-worlds action adventures then this game is a must! Highly underrated game in my opinion!

    Just ignore the low ratings by the "professionals" and listen to the community, to the people who actually played themselves. The game is set in a beautiful and well crafted world. It has a decent sized map for you to roam around, collect supplies and slay zombies.
    The story is nothing new or special, but it's decent enough. It has ups and lows, emotions, humor and terror. The main character, Deek, is relatable and fun to play with. He has a decent character arc too. The side missions, and supporting characters are okay as well. The horde hunting is absolutely terrifying and fun at the same time.

    Long story short, go and buy this game. It belongs to the gamers hall of fame. Days Gone will suck you into it's amazingly heart wrenching story and into a big, detailed world that wants you dead. After you beat it I can guarantee that you'll want more. I already miss Deacon St. John.

    Days Gone i played in day of launch and i can say i like it in despite that it has bugs and i experimented that bugs i can say is a good game and the story is decent and a say this because i can be angry for bugs or something like that because is the first open world of Bend studios and they did great for that

    Extremely under rated game. Really fun zombie open world, addicting to keep getting credits to upgrade your bike and weapons, I really liked deacon as the protagonist. Really warm hardly guy but rough around the edges. When you first encounter a horde it is a huge RUSH

    Big surprise for me this one. First time review on here too. Love zombie games but came in with low expectations, and it slowly became one of my favourite games of the year. Yes, the writing is cheesy and the characters offer little new, but if you want to play the perfect Walking Dead video game, this is it.     Massively underrated game. Have really enjoyed my time with this and at points been unable to put the controller down. Think there is a really great story here If you can stick with it through its opening sections (Which I personally enjoyed). Outside of the main story objectives there isn’t a lot of compelling side stuff apart from slightly tedious bounty hunts and enemy camp raids which simply function as a bit of quick cash to buy new guns and bike parts, and unlocking for fast travel points but you could easily get through the game without doing them. I think Deacon is a very likeable protagonist and Sam Witwer deserves a lot of credit for his impressive and engaging portrayal of the biker boy. Accompanied by an assortment of fantastic supporting cast Days Gone features a lot of really great moments and character dialogue. Some of my favourites being between Deacon and Sarah played by Courtnee Draper. Jim Pirri also did a great job of portraying Boozer, The brotherhood between Deacon and Boozer is a big part of the early game and I was here for it. There is some really stand out writing here that is brought to the life by the actors who all look great scanned into the game. Days Gone does a great job of feeling very real (despite the rabbid flesh eating zombies) but if this was to be in our unfortunate future this is how I could see it going down. Whilst the gameplay can feel difficult and frustrating at times, it becomes both satisfying and rewarding as you progress through the game, and that feeling of when you are finally able to defeat your first horde is a exhilarating moment. I personally hope there is going to be a second instalment, and can’t wait to see how they will build and expand on an already great Playstation classic.… Expand

    I couldn’t play TLOU 2 after this masterpiece. The best story about biker. It’s really fun to destroy hordes of zombies.

    definitely the best zombie apocalypse action shooter to be released in ages. a top 5 ps4 exclusive for sure. an awesome open world, a great story, fun fighting mechanics, and motorbikes . VROOM VROOM> !!!!

The story of this game invested me in a way that I hadn't expected. I came for the zombies, and stayed for the character development. Days of Riding, is an open world zombie game. It gives you a loading screen for pretty much everything, and they take minutes each time. F*cking ridiculous. Also it lets you drive around constantly, which is very annoying.

    Story:
    You play as Deacon, the most politically correct Biker to live in the US. After landing a hot blonde girlfriend, the Freaker Apocalypse breaks loose and he loses her... Or does he?

    Days Gone's story is like watching a robot that has holes in it. You are interested in the plot of the hot blonde and the Freakers, but it also very blatantly shows you what the game is behind the curtain. It's a crappy bike simulator, with 80% of your playtime consisting of driving from A to B. At some point even the plot around the Freakers couldn't interest me anymore, as it drags on into pointless filler. The story would have been better if this was a lineair level based game without the filler open world.

    Gameplay:
    The game definitely tries to make the gameplay closer to realism with smooth animations, aiming and THE MOST BROKEN BIKE EVER. It does 1 meter to the gallon, and it breaks easier than a brittle bone. What's the point of realism in a video game if it doesn't make the game more fun or entertaining? The bike is a choir to maintain, and aiming is good enough but feels clumsy. As you increase your reputation, you unlock more guns in camps. The guns that you unlock later on feel a lot better than the starter ones, but it is a choir to do all the missions required before you are at the necessary level.

    What is extremely annoying is when you are forced to walk slowly, can't grab your weapons and the game restricts your actions. I hated this in Red Dead redemption 2, and i especially hate it here when there are Newts begging to be shot!

    Graphics:
    The visuals of Days Gone are stunning. The cinematics, facial animations and character models look astonishingly good. When it comes to graphics, realism is good. And Days Gone has impressive graphics that look very real. However, outside the cinematics the games graphics become mediocre at times. Especially character models.

    Game loop:
    The first 10 hours of Days Gone are quite entertaining! While everything is new it will keep you interested. However, as missions are all based around the same structure (even the main plot missions) it becomes repetitive and tedious. There are also restrictions on what you can do, which just leads to more frustration. The bike is a poor design decision that seems to be more of a contrived feature than something to entertain the player.

    I felt for a while that Days Gone was an misunderstood gem, but as the game dragged on and forced me to do the same things over and over without giving some epic moments (with the Freakers) it disappointed me more and more. It's not a bad game at all, but it will not be memorable either. It's an average game, i give it a 6/10.    … Expand

    Made the mistake of playing this right after Last of Us 2 and ABSOLUTELY HATED it! Worst game mechanics, worst aiming mechanics, worst weapon handling mechanics, worst stealth mechanics. Tried giving it 2nd and 3rd chances but uninstalled right after the 3rd try ... BAD GAME!

    The first couple of hours of this game arent great. The first 2 camps are a bit dull but the story really does pick up after that. The zombie hordes and driving around on your motorbike are some of the best fun you will have on a PS4.

    The game is a second to none in the 3rd person open world zombie apocalypse setting. Didn’t find it too long, the plot is great and dynamic, awesome level of detail, various types of gameplay with different experience. Masterpiece!

Shooting is bad, taking a look after your bike is rather tedious. No jump which is very inconvenient. Map is boring and lifeless. The drama soon gets so repetetive and you've probably seen this hundred times in other zombie games orI had liked the game until a certain point. The story is ok but the pace is too slow.     The game could've been much better if there were more types of enemies, more scripted moments, better figthing mechanics. So far the game feels quite generic at best. I've done about 10 hours and stopped playing without a second thought

    1. Story is cheesy and the bikers' personalities is a bunch of stereotypes by it does its job 6/10
    2. Graphics are ok, but everything is colorless and monotonous and boring as in GTA IV: TLAD 6/10
    3. Gameplay is generic and doesn't have any variety. You can either kill a zombie from the back in the stealth mode, you can fight with them which means press one button and roll and some QTE, and you can drive your motorcycle. That's it nothing more nothing less. The city is boring and doesn't give you any reasons for exploration. 6/10
    4. Interface's ok 6/10

It gives a natural realistic vibe and the best part of the game is hordes. Deacon's bike feel like a horse in red Dead redemption 2. Customization of deacon bike is excellent. So far (I’m about 75% through right now) you don’t have Big Emotional Moments that I think too many people have come to expect after The Last of Us came out, and it may explain why manyI think this game was somewhat misunderstood by the critics. Some of it is understandable—critics play a lot of games, and a lot of the gameplay aspects aren’t that unique outside of the horde battles. So far (I’m about 75% through right now) you don’t have Big Emotional Moments that I think too many people have come to expect after The Last of Us came out, and it may explain why many labeled the characters flat and uninteresting. And yeah the plot isn’t terribly original either. I think though the sheer competence of the gameplay was often overlooked. Yes it is not that original, but the mechanics are really smooth and not hard to learn. Stealth is frustrating in some games, but not this one. For me this ups the fun factor immensely. Second is the locale, central Oregon. The rootedness of this game in a very particular place, the home of Bend (Oregon) Studio itself, adds a real local flavor to it that other games with more generic settings miss. Some people might regard it as samey, but that really is how the Pacific Northwest looks and feels. The authenticity is subtle but really present, and probably because the developers are from there. Finally there’s the acting and writing. The key word here is understatement. The acting isn’t showy, as these are hardened people who even before the apocalypse have seen a lot and don’t react over the top to death and deprivation. This might have been mistaken as flat or uninteresting characterization, but if you pay attention the dialogue is often better written than advertised and the emotions are present as an undercurrent. No, it’s not the tour-de-force of The Last of Us, but I don’t think this is trying to be that kind of story. This is more Sons of Anarchy than anything else. In sum I think this is a very solid 8/10 game, a very competent, enjoyable, and smoothly executed game that does what it does well. Not everything needs to be TLoU or whatever. I recommend it if you like this sort of action game and don’t mind less of a focus in big story moments.… Expand

    Que jogo incrível! O único que QUASE me fez chorar. Eu me senti como se eu fosse o deacon, pois a história o prende de um jeito ... eu me senti salvando a Sarah. E o que falar da amizade dele com o boozer? O jogo é simplesmente maravilhoso. Eu aguardo muito por uma continuação, um segundo jogo. Está no meu top 3!

    Days Gone is a very very good Game, Thanks to the patches it was possible to solve the bugs that there were, Beautiful are the regions and their Views. The game is highly recommended, and do not hesitate to buy it. The theme of the Hordes is Incredible, very Innovative, I liked it. 10/10 good job Bend Studio.

    Such an underated game, was buggy at first but picked it up again after the patches. Now a solid game, the hordes are fun and teriffying at the same time!! Put some headphones on and play in the dark!!!

    Bend Studio made a great game with a rich, believable and captivating story. They’ve also resisted the lure of trends: there’s no multiplayer, no lootboxes, no “game as a service” plans – just a very solid (and finite) singleplayer experience. That makes it a rare gem these days, maybe one of the last of its kind. [Issue#238, p.42]

    At the beginning of the game you’ll feel like you've already played this game... then it will let you go for a while only to return with reinforcements (and lots of bugs). However, Days Gone has a couple of pleasant moments, that can't be denied. [Issue#295]

    I expect and hope for a sequel. Just know that going into this game that there is a lot of tedious nonsense to pad out a really good game to make it feel more worth every dollar, much to its detriment. I want to give this game a better score because the best moments are so good, but the large portion of this game is so bloody tiring that I just can’t.
