    So as you probably know, the game is in an horrendous state right now. There are just so many bugs that you have to worry about and adapt to its hard to focus on actually playing the game.
    It stars with ressources disappearing after the first strike with a pickaxe and reappearing after 1min (it also seems to help to take a look at the map [which takes about 15 sec because the menu takes    So as you probably know, the game is in an horrendous state right now.     It stars with ressources disappearing after the first strike with a pickaxe and reappearing after 1min (it also seems to help to take a look at the map [which takes about 15 sec because the menu takes ages to load and makes the game freeze {which is dangerous}]) and it ends with enemies being invisible or seemingly walking against a wall just to kill you out of nowhere.
    Some more bugs you hopefully know about already:
    -Thralls are just one big bug. They hover the earth in T-pose, dont attack enemies, dont teleport to your location while on the other half of the map, additionally they get stuck freaking everywhere, still dropping under the mesh while fighting dragons/rhinos and once my thrall tried to return home from inside a vault (goblinoids) for 14 hours and it probably was the server restart that unbugged him.
    -Other players (!) and their thralls being invisible. Its like a cheat on PvP.
    -Bases and textures taking forever to load in. This is not just a cosmetical issue as it makes you unable to enter your own base.
    -Elephants spawning on my foundations.
    -Weapons/Tools cant be equipped. The character seems to hold something invisible in the hands but its unuseable until you can see it. Takes on average a minute to fix itself. Seems to be happening more often in vaults but is not limited to them. You probably see all the gamebreaking problems with this.
    -Huge fps drops in the maelstrom.
    -The notoriously long loading screens.
    -Dieying as you log into your server/appear on the map.
    -Inventories not loading up completely which makes you check everythings name (this is not quality of life as i imagine)
    -Textures not loading in so the world looks like Crom sliced it with a massive sword. (Clean cuts of every texture so it looks like you reached the end of the world and are about to fall off.)
    -I probably missed some more, i might edit them in as i remember. THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY.
    Most of these were non existent or atleast acceptable before the Siptah-Release. Since then your game is just a pile of sh… i mean your game is like a challenge for who can adapt to your gamebreaking bugs the best.
    And what is the worst part about all of this: we, your players, feel left out. There is no communication on your current state of fixing these. Not even a post saying you recognize all these bugs and are aware of the bad quality right now. Honestly i think its a disgrace how you trait your (PS-)community.
    Atleast communicate with us, give us updates on the status of your progress with resolving these bugs.

    Dont listen to these reviews they are out of date, the game was awesome but now its the worse game i owned, its is sooo laggy now, its crashes all the time. If you want to spend all day gathering stuff coz the fall rate is crap and you have to kill a hundred rock creatures to get to a little bit of iron, just finished making a awesome outfit, then the game crashes and your stuff getsDont listen to these reviews they are out of date, the game was awesome but now its the worse game i owned, its is sooo laggy now, its crashes all the time.     This review is for other casual players like myself who could have benefited from this perspective before buying. Maybe this isn't an issue for veteran games in this genre.

    The controls and access to your tools is incredibly cumbersome, unrewarding, and not well explained. You constantly have to go through menu after menu to find the crafting that makes up a lot of the gameplay (and if there is an easier way to do these things, I couldn't find it and was impeded by that). There is a lot of small text to read on a screen that might be better suited for a PC user interface but is tough on a TV screen. Framerate drops and gets choppy routinely both in-game and in cutscenes. (I thought this wouldn't bother me but it did.) And I can't tell if I "should" be playing on a solo server or on a PVE/PVP server (not sure where the richer experience is), but it doesn't seem like you can transfer your character between them and I'm not sure where I should invest my efforts.

    I feel like there's a fun world to explore here, but I just can't get to it.    … Expand

    This is not a retail game. It is so choppy and unplayable I'm getting sick. I'm not one to write reviews very often. but I created an account just to review this game. So disappointed. The optimization is awful. The game hitches non stop on the PS4. It's an utter mess.     Let's be honest, this game is trash, pretty much everything about it is "B Grade".
    It should be a free-to-play game but its not.
    It cost me about $NZ27.00 and I got my jollies for a few hours. Props to the developer for adding in the "Endowment" options, i genuinely wish more developers had the balls to do this. Otherwise, the combat is a joke, the game is a grind and is even more    Let's be honest, this game is trash, pretty much everything about it is "B Grade".

    A medicore game by a horrible company that disrespects its costummers. I highly recommend to look for another company that actually cares about its costummers without randomly banning them (While refusing to give the reason).

Ugly graphics (think of 2007-2008 in terms of visual fidelty), no story whatsoever, clumsy controls, counter-intuitive gameplay. The only highlight is the music (think of the original Conan movie's soundtrack).     This game is broken. It doesn´t look like finished, it seems you are playing a beta. Animations are poor, combats are terrible boring, crafting is insanely complicated and reiterative. So many bugs and glitches make this adventure really annoying.

Enjoy 2 arrows right away in your head.
    Mobs loot is totally random, so you usually pick 2h hammer from archers and arrows from dancers. And of course none of them drops clothes they wear
    Another butt bleeding thing about npc it's their respawn time. They respawn all together and not some time after you kill them like in any normal game, so you can be in middle of npc village when they all decided to respawn together, have fun.
    From dungeons only tested dregs and while itself it was pretty neat experience, I run in the many bugs that didn't saw on the pc early access. Like first door opening only once and after that if you left dungeon you can't get inside after first water area.
    Exp gains are ****ed, so killing spiders that die from one combo is faster than killing anyone else. Exiles don't give much exp at all, despite loving to swarm you.
    Progression itself is lacking too, of course you can do adventure log, but it's limited, crafting and gathering don't bring much exp. So only grinding remains, just like in the age of conan which failed for the same reason
    Multiplayer part has all problems of typical survival rpg with only difference is that developers didn't even bothered to do anything about it. Like players claiming all free land with columns, but there it also prevents mobs from spawning    … Expand

Not to mention you can't even see your own clan members on the map in a PVE server. Funcom, you nailed Age of Conan and totally crapped out rotten trash with Exiles. So disappointing.     A buggy broken piece of **** As of this posting thralls are so bugged, they don't regen health, equip weapons or armor. Things fall through the ground. Sometimes you won't be able to build structures for no good reason. My game crashes three times before I can even get on a server. **** you Funcom. **** you in the throat.

    Performance on ps4 is horrible, even on the ps4 pro. It is not absolutly trash but the laggs are so huge.. then, all Servers are full. No Chance to join or to play - and if you come into one, you get kicked after a few minutes because of what ever error it is.
    EDIT: There're huge framedrop issues and freezes. Not really enjoyable right now.

    At first I liked it until I spent 4 days upgrading my armor an sword at the blacksmiths table, I was a level 14 and was in area too high for my fighter and died 3 times all my med grade armor was gone and my sword gone. The developers need to change your hard earned inventory disappearing and it should be able to be collected at anytime.     I can't though. As it stands now Conan Exiles is riddled with deep game design flaws. Bugs aside, which I hope are addressed with time, the actual game, as designed, is far to grindy to be much of a survival sandbox. Essential resources to craft even more essential items are far to rare in general, and where reliably found far too not worth the effort for the difficulty and risk under the default game to retrieve. Status effects dished out by NPCs stack, and they spam them. Not so much an issue, until it is taken into account that you need to craft items to counter these stacking effects. And the resources to craft those items will be so frustrating to gather, you'll feel so disincentivized as to not even wish to bother with it, as the rewards will be abysmally little.

    Combat, on PS4, I have found to be a mess with how laggy the game is. Also the stamina mechanic is little more than a frustration, another arbitrary limitator put in place, rather than being a mechanic that keeps the game interesting and challenging. This is especially noticeable with how the dodge mechanic is done, where dodging will leave you out of an attacks path, then unable to do anything as you are out of stamina and the attacking creatures heavybag many times on its follow ups. It really is a common pattern in the game, an interesting thing, made useless before it can be useful, just by the games need to be 'merciless', i.e., a punishing grind.

    I'd get to all the features I want to love (construction, certain grafting, religion/cult, cannibalism, enslavement of thalls, etc, etc ), but that is where Conan Exiles is its most disappointing. So many things done right, but all attached to a broken wreck of a spine in the core game, that it is too frustrating to try and enjoy the content in is indeed done well.

    Honestly, the game feels more like a demo, to show a hint of what is great in it, but everything locked away. In this case locked away behind poor game designs and mechanics.    … Expand

In a day and age where quality reigns supreme this is unacceptable. I don't purchase games anymore because of being duped by the great game play trailers. I will be sending this one back and awaiting the next one. Rent this one if you must but, DOI wish I could find anything redeeming about this game but, I can't.     Absolutely terrible what is the point in having an online survival game with servers if the servers go down every other day get it sorted and then it would be a good game.

    First the developers don't care at all about their players. You can be a loyal player playing for months or years and the devs will make changes on the server with NO in game warning, or console message, that will delete ALL of you work, not some... everything you've been doing for over a year, period.     This has happen to me twice, because I was foolish enough to think they changed and give them another chance. Hours, days, months, years of work and time gone after an update, with no way to recover it at all. That is wholly unreasonable for ANY product.

    Then before that there are many bugs that make you lose hours to months of work anyway. The devs have added many unnecessary time sinks, and they are placed on top of things that may be bugged. For example in order to craft a certain item you need ONE and only ONE specific thrall. There may be only 1 or 2 thralls out of 50 that spawn every 16 minutes at 5 locations. So that's 6 chances every 16 minutes running to 5 different places minutes apart hoping the right ONE out of FIFTY will spawn. As the spawn is random and often repeating the same wrong ones this can take literally real world months running back and forth to all these locations and you may NEVER get that one thrall spawn.

    BUT WORSE... if it does finally spawn after however long it may disappear due to a bug wasting months of your life. If you want that item, then you need to do it all again unless you're smart enough to give up on this ludicrous game.

    All that is ignoring the fact that the DLC is exorbitantly priced AND even after you buy it you can not use it unless you put in hours more work because it's only high level items. They could have easily added low level items but chose not to, so of you are not some hard core player or if you simply don't have time, well you paid for nothing.

    I will literally never by another Funcom game ever again, I wish I could return this garbage. I don't care what game they may make in the future this company can not be supported. Any company that has this little concern about their players or care of the quality of their product shouldn't even be in business.    … Expand

    Funcom games are also in general extremely buggy but every game does has its unique flavor. Its just that the company is too horrible that I can't recommend any of their games.     Conan Exiles es un juego muy poco innovador y encima lleno de bugs con un combate horrible, lento y confuso. El menú es confuso y poco claro, y empezar es bastante complicado.

    I wasn't expecting my character to stuck to a SEA of faceless 40 person (max) servers...I played the same character for 10 hours until I realized it....
    This game means you are stuck to a 40 person server, playing with the same people and good luck if it is full or not fun...You can't switch....

    I only played this because it is now a free PSplus game. I actually had no idea there were games this bad for the PS4! Wow. The graphics look like an early 2000s PC game, no tutorial, poor menu/on-line server design, horrible voice acting and character models, glitchy, and just plain boring.

    Cuando inicias el juego por primera vez te encuentras con una cinematica mas o menos interesante para luego acceder a uno de los peores menus de personalizacion de personaje que he visto.
    despues llega la cinematica con CONAN que por un momento logra emocionarte un poco, esto sin embargo dura poco ya que al iniciar el juego te topas con una interfaz conpleja y anti intuitiva que no hace    Cuando inicias el juego por primera vez te encuentras con una cinematica mas o menos interesante para luego acceder a uno de los peores menus de personalizacion de personaje que he visto.
    despues llega la cinematica con CONAN que por un momento logra emocionarte un poco, esto sin embargo dura poco ya que al iniciar el juego te topas con una interfaz conpleja y anti intuitiva que no hace mas que entorpecer la jugabilidad de un juego que por su genero ya es bastante lenta.
    graficos y animaciones mediocres se encargan de sacarte de la poca inmersion restante que pudiste haber tenido.
    Lo unico rescatable seria el universo en el cual se desarrolla la historia (aunque no haya alguna) ya que si no fuese por los problemas anteriores estaria encantado de explorar y su banda sonora que esta bastante bien.

    At first this looked a lot like ark and has a very similar playstyle. What makes this game so bad for me is the massive amount of game breaking bugs. I just couldnt play properly and even when I could the game wasn't too interesting.

    Jogo extremamente mal feito, parece que tiveram preguiça durante o desenvolvimento, muito vergonhoso lançar dessa forma, está praticamente tudo errado dentro do jogo, proposto é boa demais para essa porcaria.

I was looking for a game to enjoy, not to get slapped in the face by. Not to mention you loose all your stuff once you die.     This game runs terrible on console, it stutters every 20 seconds for seconds, graphics are really weak even on ps5. It’s terrible and not playable. Don’t buy it!

    Pros explained: the game has a nice atmosphere, exciting changing music, cool places to explore, and you can build our camp / bases almost anywhere, interesting crafting system (involves a fair bit of grinding materials though).

    Cons explained: for casual players it is probably gonna be fine, you go there with your big sword and armor, hit the bosses while they hitting you and you win eventually. YEAH! you ARE the man! But for those who ever played sg like Nioh or Dark Souls, the fighting system is going to be truly painful for sure. The skill level involved is pretty low, and the fights are mostly stat checks. The 'lock on' system is truly terrible. If you lock on someone, you basically loose all of your mobility, you start to move with really slow speed, and also you loose your lock if you start to dodge sideways too much. So you cant do sg like lock on a boss, circleling around them, with clever dodges, while slowly waring them down. Also hits are really inconsistent. Worst of all it is inconsistent if your hits land or not often even if you are literally in the face of a giant beast. I already talked about the **** lock on system but the other bad part is, that if you not lock the target, you miss your hits like 70%. All in all: the bosses and fights were designed in zerging online players or at least you and a strong thrall / pet who just tank all the hits, in mind, and sadly there is no room for compensate for the lack of thoose with skill and careful experimentation.    … Expand

    Pay $150 for all the DLC, then they decide that isn't enough and start charging $200/year for the same amount of content as previously $40/year in DLCs, but wait there's more, now there's $40/year in FOMO battle passes as well.

    Almost $240/year to play a game that is riddled with bugs. Awesome

    Painfully bad game. The developers put zero effort into making it. The only reason why i installed it was because it was free with PS+ which is also the game that made me cancel my subscription.

    I start the game, i start walking into the desert and then i die... No proper explanation, no proper introduction, no proper tutorial, nothing.     Ultimately Conan Exiles is a slow paced game with no quick pay offs. It provides a sense of wonder with its locations and the things that populate them. There is danger in the persistent online world which adds to the need to log on often to keep an eye on things. If you are not prepared to put the hours in, this is a title that is better left alone.

    Conan Exiles is one of the most disappointing games I have played this generation. I have not experienced another game on PlayStation 4 as broken as Exiles. It is hard to believe that a game could be released for purchase in such bad condition. In another genre, the bugs in Exiles might be fun or amusing. In a survival game, they are crippling. Gamers deserve, and should demand, better.
