As the title suggests, this collection contains "Rondo of Blood" and "Symphony of the Night", two of the best Castlevania games ever created. Should you bother with this? Well, that depends. However, if you've played this before (I'm looking at you hardcore retro gamers!) and you currently have other versions accessible, then you can probably skip this version....unless.....you want to enjoy this in your big HD TV with nice up-scaled pixels.

You see, these ports aren't based on the original releases of these titles, they are based on the PSP versions which have some changes. This irks some, I personally don't care. If this is you, then skip Requiem, otherwise fire up that PS4 and enjoy two classics on the big screen.

This is my first time playing Rondo of Blood & Symphony of the Night, I absolutely enjoyed every minute of SOTN, the secrets that the castle holds are fascinating to uncover, it was a brilliant step to set the whole game in one location and build that into the experience that it was.

I struggled with the limited movement within Rondo of Blood until I unlocked Maria, after that the game flowed and is a must play for any SOTN fan.

    Castlevania Rondo of Blood:

Rondo of Blood: I absolutely love Maria Renard in this game. She is very agile and powerful, yet very cute (KAWAII Japanese cuteness). Maria cutscenes are the most kawaii moment in castlevania games.

Symphony of The Night: The best music in game history, maybe 2nd after Final Fantasy 6 (which is the best of the best I think). Awesome gameplay, but Bloodstained Ritual of The Night is

Vamos a ver.

A nice compilation of two essential Castlevania titles. Unfortunately, both games are ports of the PSP versions. Still, they hold up quite well and the upscaled HD graphics look great. Sadly, no extra content or behind-the-scene extras were included. But there are a few cool display options. Overall, I would rate this with an 8 out of 10.

I liked Symphony of the Night because of its RPG and level up system. That always keeps me coming back for more. The Rondo of Blood is more traditional. It’s cool but Symphony makes this collection worth it alone for sure. Check it out. Hours of fun, exploration and leveling up the way Castlevania knows how!

Symphony of the Night sigue siendo la obra maestra histórica que fue en su día y Rondo of Blood... bien, pero joder, no me lo puedo acabar ni a tiros. Que revisen un poco la dificultad.

Castlevania Requiem combines two of the best games in the Castlevania series. However, it does just that. The bare-bones presentation and weird mistakes keep this from becoming a must own collection.

For die-hard fans of the series, there is nothing new to be found here, but for those who never had a chance to get their hands on any of the Castlevania titles, this collection would be a perfect start to enter the Castlevania world.

Castlevania Requiem is a decent port of two classic, beloved games. At $20, PS4 players are getting a lot of value for their money. Both games have a lot of content with optional levels & a secret playable character in Rondo of Blood and a massive, open-ended map in Symphony of the Night. Castlevania fans wouldn’t be making a mistake by purchasing this collection.
