    Honestly this is still one of the best games in the Call of Duty franchise. The campaign is refreshing and truly something for Activision to be proud of. It is definitely one of the best original Call of Duty games in years and I think this is still one of the best Call of Duty games in recent years.

    The zombies is great and full of Easter eggs to do with friends but compared to Black Ops 3 zombies it is a lot easier. However, that is my personal preference but the lack of difficulty does not make it any less fun.

    After the release of the most recent Call of Duty games the multiplayer has had less players but it is still a joy to play. The multiplayer still feels as fresh today as it did when it first released. The only multiplayer that could beat this is Modern Warfare (2019).

    Unfortunately, loot boxes are still prevalent which does leave a bad taste in my mouth but other than that it is a beautiful, fun and well crafted game.    … Expand

    I'm surprised this has negative user reviews. Story is amazing and the campaign is absolutely a masterpiece. Have not played MP though.

    A very short game about the Second World War. The plot consists in one thing: Either kill everyone, or blow up something. A lot of bugs and stupid NPCs. In short, the game has failed. 4/10.

    Stop listening to the corrupt, fake, paid-off reviews. This game is not worth buying. The story is boring and forgettable. The multiplayer is repetitive, boring and has some of the worst cut scene animations which look like they belong in a PS1 era game.

    After the **** that was Infite warfare this game is a giant break from all the futuristic things that brought black ops 3 is good to return to the roots of the beginning of the saga.     The game is great especially after the revamp. The multiplayer is a lot of fun. The campaign was a little disappointing but its fine the multiplayer is the main part of Cod game. I reached prestige master and played it for more than a year even after bo4 came out. Now looking at bo4 and modern warfare 2019 these older cod games are much better than we think.

    this game may not be perfect, and I will start with the flaws but by god it is enjoyable. first of all and the most prominent. the loot boxes. yes it is terrible and really showcases a pre-Starwars battlefront 2 era of games and they remain prominent in this game. my other issue has to be the map design, because it is just a bit boring, every map with only one exception being built on thethis game may not be perfect, and I will start with the flaws but by god it is enjoyable. first of all and the most prominent. the loot boxes. yes it is terrible and really showcases a pre-Starwars battlefront 2 era of games and they remain prominent in this game. my other issue has to be the map design, because it is just a bit boring, every map with only one exception being built on the three-lane design that is in next-to every cod game. however there are parts of this game that make up for it.

    The campaign.
    I was just expecting your average run-of-the-mill cod campaign when I decided to download this game when I saw it on PS+ earlier this year but my goodness, it was amazing. it starts off with a dark but beautiful recreation of the Omaha beach landings on D-Day, they spared no expense in showcasing a huge map filled with dug out trenches, broken barricades and thousands of soldiers along with it. just playing that first 45-minute long mission grabs you right into the experience. the game puts a large emphasis onto teamwork and tactics. you can call on the NPCs around you to give you callouts, extra ammunition and grenades or med packs, removing the standard automatic healing system that is commonplace in most games.

    The multiplayer

    now I don't usually play multiplayer but one of my favourite parts of this game is the war mode, it is a 18-18 game mode where one team has to complete objectives and another has to stop the other team from completing the objectives, these can be anything from securing intel and moving tanks across a snowy forest to a recreation of the D-Day landings and building a bridge, these are hectic, extreme and fun. I cannot tell you how many hours I have put into this game mode. it is truly amazing

    in the end, I don't think this is amazing and there are many downfalls but taking that away leaves a good and fun game.    … Expand

    Looking back at this game it was alright. The campaign was decent but it's very short. The multiplayer is garbage with the maps being a big reason why but what makes this game decent is the amazing zombies

    The Campaign was good enough, but does not ave any replay value to it. The Multiplayer was decent, however, the servers often goes down and kicks you out in the middle of the game. Zombies Mode is not as good as previous games (Black Ops 1, World at War). And of course, Supply Box are the most pathetic thing ever

    lo compre por el trailer que se veia muy bien esperaba una historia epica y un buen online lo que tuve fue una campaña algo aburrida los personajes se te olvida que existen a los 2 minutos de juego los graficos son una mierda. el online es peor se trata de puras cajas y de comprar cosas para tu personaje basicamente es un juego decepcionante page two win y totalmente mediocre

Multiplayer and a big payout to win almost every weapon you unlock only if you get the premium version and the matches are quite long. The multiplayer maps are huge filled with useless empty spaces that could reduce a lot.     Me diverti no jogo porém o modo história é muito curto e senti falta de maior variedade de armas durante a campanha do jogo, até por que eu prefiro jogar offline e aproveitar a história dos games. O modo zombies é legal mas não supera o modo zombies do black ops 2. E no modo multiplayer online demora muito pra desbloquear as armas e acessórios o que torna a experiência um pouco frustrante.Me diverti no jogo porém o modo história é muito curto e senti falta de maior variedade de armas durante a campanha do jogo, até por que eu prefiro jogar offline e aproveitar a história dos games.     Narrativamente, en cambio... ¡Ay, amiga! Decir que narrativamente es flojo se queda corto por mucho. Tenía unas expectativas inmensas en este juego: como fan de la IIGM, esperaba poder explorar la guerra hasta sus extremos. Cuando de repente me han salido los créditos (que, mind you, duran más que el juego en sí), me he puesto lívida. ¿Dónde está la captura de Berlín? ¿Y el frente ruso? ¿Y el enfrentamiento con Japón? **** ¿qué clase de visión parcial guarripei de un conflicto tan inmenso me he comido? *himno americano sueña de fondo* *bostezos en la sala* *se oye a alguien vomitando en los baños fuera*

    Eso por no hablar de la historia de Daniels, que, por tradicional y redundante, me aburría cada vez que se hacía referencia a ella... Until a new generation of developers arise, this will continue. Everything after MW2 was a downhill, but this game is different. Its good enough - for me. If you want a better WW2 game I recommend Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Call Of Duty:The single player campaign is good. Multiplayer is sub-par, the maps are far too small. The loot box system is abhorrent - but so are the times. Until a new generation of developers arise, this will continue. Everything after MW2 was a downhill, but this game is different. Its good enough - for me. If you want a better WW2 game I recommend Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Call Of Duty: World At War. You wont be playing much multiplayer with that, but the engine is more true to the standards of what a good shooter is, responsive controls, nice textures, etc. If I were to recommend this game, I wouldn't say its worth more than $20. The grind of the multiplayer loot box mechanic is a gambling trap that you should be wise not to fall into. Collecting just for the sake having a skin or texture forces you to play the game in a way that is streamlined and that is deceitful and misguided. Its understandable that there should be unlockable skins, etc, but the randomization is explicit gambling, which I don't think should be in games, unless you like that sort of thing - more power to you. If you can take anything away from this review - please note the developer and publishers to avoid: EA, Activision, Ubisoft. They are game manufacturers with a quota. Never forget that. Its big business. DONT TRUST THE "CRIT" REVIEWS. The only thing critical about them is their bias.… Expand

    normal garbage, nothing new, get ready for random aimbot during the campaign and a lot of frustration. the enemies manage to hit you through the smoke grenade and depending on it is hitkill. CGI is good but during the game the graphics is all locked and grotesque, melee attacks don't work well and when you try to do some heroic act the enemies keep hitting you with aimbot.

    This game was alright. However, it does not come even close to topping the most classic Call of Duty games such as the Modern Warfare series and the Black Ops series. The game's biggest letdown is that it didn't bring anything new to the table aside from the setting. Sure it got better as time flew by but WWII is not bad or good enough to keep you grinding for hours.

I've been playing FPS games for 7 years now this is probably the worst Call of Duty I've ever played. Your teammates just shoot around randomly, they don't kill any enemies mostly. Obviously with a COD game it’s going to look great but they game took my breath away at some points because of how real it looked it happens when one of your partners get shot and you are dragging them all of a sudden a cutscene startsCall of Duty WW2: This has to be one of the darkest COD games of all time. You play as Ronald “Red” Daniels set in different times dusting World War 2. Obviously with a COD game it’s going to look great but they game took my breath away at some points because of how real it looked it happens when one of your partners get shot and you are dragging them all of a sudden a cutscene starts playing and I swear it looks so real it’s crazy, I even showed it to my stepdad who love watching war stuff and he I think had a hard time thinking that it was a game it looked that real. The gameplay is always solid the guns feel great to use because they are all from the 40s or when ever World War 2 happened. But the guns always feel like real weapons because of how they feel and sound. But it doesn’t mean the game is going to hold your hand oh no, they game is difficult even from the start you play on the first level D-Day on the beach it doesn’t hold back, but sometimes there are easy levels then it goes back to BS levels. Overall it’s a very beautiful looking game and one of the most dark COD games I have played it’s free for anyone who has a PlayStation Plus subscription.… Expand

    Mittelmäßiger Ego Shooter, dessen Online Modus ganz in Ordnung ist und gut läuft. Die Handlung der Kampagne ist aber sehr oberflächlich und bleibt weit unterdurchschnittlich. Insgesamt enttäuschend (5/10).

    I enjoyed playing this game. WWII is so realistic (atmosphere and graphics), it's like you are going to the war for die. The plot it's not the best perhaps it is plain. I should put more missions but each mission last less because it's veeerryy looong. The online flag. Nevertheless, zombies mode is pretty good. I put 7 out of 10.     Best COD in a long time when it released. Multiplayer is great and story mode too. Great soundtrack, sound design and amazing graphics.

    A great return back to the origins for the franchise,the gameplay is very similar to others CoD the graphic is improved but the awesome in this is the campain C.o.D. WWII has a very cool campain mode,multiplayer is very different compared to others and is very cool to play for the zombie mode is seem very too easy to play but is still good play it with friend

    I really wanted CoD’s return to World War II to be something more than a solid game – but it’s not. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’ve already seen all this, that the developers (or perhaps the publisher) chose to create something as safe as possible. There’s just one campaign mission that surprised me with its scale, the rest is just a disappointing “best of Call of Duty”. The multiplayer is as good as usual, but it was infused with unnecessary systems resembling mobile titles, e.g spending in-game currency on pointless tasks of the “kill 100 enemies” variety. Missions that make you watch other players open their loot boxes are the pinnacle of absurdity. [13/2017, p.64]

    A solid return to its roots, Call of Duty WWII reminds us what made us all fall in love Call of Duty in the first place. It ticks all the boxes which is both a blessing and a curse. Good fun and worth your time but offers nothing exceptional.
