    Everything is alright but the multilayer is **** awful Maps are too big so most of the deaths and kills you'll have is because there is almost no cover to hide behind
    Also because the maps are as big as they are shotguns are **** useless And all of this just suckes the fun out of the game

    This games campaign is so anti-Russian, they say Russians bombed the highway of death even though the US did, also in a flashback mission to 1999 Russians killed the whole towns population, the town was called Haditha, in the Iraq war US marines killed 24 unarmed civilians in the town of Haditha. For some reason the devs just get war crimes committed by the US and say that it was Russia.

    I didn’t play the game and gave it a 0. That’s right because you CANNOT play the game. It’s physically impossible. On PS4 I’ve spent a whole day trying to just install it and errors upon errors whereas I have amazing internet connection and no issues like this with any other game. Fortunately I was able to download the campaign. I didn’t want to try installing multiplayer because last timeI didn’t play the game and gave it a 0. That’s right because you CANNOT play the game. Fortunately I was able to download the campaign. No dialogue audio AT ALL. except some very very low sound in some parts of a dialogue line. It’s literally unplayable that way. I wanted the game to be a fun experience and not hearing Gaz or Captain Price speak doesn’t make it fun in any way. I searched and searched for a way to fix this but no solutions for PS4 users. I tried all sorts of settings to get audio to work to no avail.… Expand

    Absolutely horrible online! The new story is cool and has some great new mechanics, however what started as a nice "season 0" quickly developed into a terrible excuse for an online shooter. They spent way too much time adding purchasable crap, instead of improving core elements like matchmaking and spawning. Not to even mention it's taking up 250GB on my hard-drive for no reason!

An evolution in gunplay and graphics, but very broken in ways engrained within technical areas. Time to Kill depends almost solely on ping, there desync causing you to appear sometimes drastically different on other player's screens.     Worst multiplayer cod since Ghost. Camping spots up the yang. You never feel you get any better at the game. Thanks to garbage bullet registration. Greedy company implements skill based match making just to keep dopes playing and buying their boring season pass. Community manager ignores the community. Man this game is something else.

    This game doesn't have any "gray morality" area it's just a game where you commit eat crimes, don't get punished for it. And when you're not committing war crimes and getting away with it, the game blames Russia for actual war crimes committed by the US or the UK like the highway of death in Hadith, Iraq was blamed on the Russians, that is one of countless examples no less.

Warzone has way too many people. It’s a mig mess of constant UAVs and bombs flying everywhere while you get shot in the back constantly. You have to download a big patch just to play the campaign. You have to install the game and then download what is almost 200 extra gigs of data packs in order to play this game. This game was developed by incoherent plebeians. I didn’t even get a chance to play multiplayer because of the developmental catastrophe that is this game. What a waste of my money. If I can sell this game for 20 bucks then I’ll be somewhat happy.     I liked the campaign, it was decent. This game used to be OKAY overall, but I just tried playing it in 2021, I loaded up my old favorite, infected, and tried to play it for over a hour. Literally every match except but 2 made me auto infected, because I couldn't load in the game fast enough. I am legitimately considering ending my life with my .22. That's how terrible I feel after that 1I liked the campaign, it was decent. Progression means nothing, just buy the gun with cool colored bullets and you're all set.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Worst Call of duty game in franchise history! I was never a fan of the recent call of duty games such as BO3 and 4. Or any of the futuristic looking jetpack wearing, running on walls, exosuit wearing games. So when I first heard the modern warfare franchise was coming back, I was beyond ecstatic...but then I played the game. There where so many bugs with it (that eventually got patched), but you can’t really expect anything else from a new game. Then month after month I witnessed the game getting worse and worse after each update. Now, almost 10 months in, the game is completely and utterly unplayable. Jump into a hardcore game and you get more hitmarkers than in warzone or Battlefield or even in Apex. And that’s the best part of the game that’s the f’ed up part. There are several instances where your shoot at somebody and the bullets just doesn’t connect even though when you record it or watch the killcam, you can see the bullets go through the enemy and hit the wall behind them. The ADS speed on pistols are RIDICULOUS. You can basically sprint and go into full on ADS, shoot, kill the guy, and back into tactical sprint within 0.000000001 second. And they can compete with snipers on long range as well as ARs and SMGs in mid range fights. Therefore the 1 % that is actually moving in this game are running around with pistols and there are no way to counter them 1v1. The maps are horrible and have been requested by the majority to be fixed, same with sounds and camping, but IW refuse to make the game playable. All in effort to cater to bad players. Which is where SBMM comes in to play. The way they solved SBMM is the second worst idea ever by developers. Right behind how they created Modern warfare 2019. It’s currently season 5 and for each patch, the game just gets worse and worse. I’ve gone back to older games just to make sure it wasn’t just my aim and tactics that had gotten worse, but when I constantly go WAY positive on older games where the game is balanced and have a good accuracy during more or less every game....then it’s not on me anymore. Then it’s just the game that needs to be fixed. If you still haven’t bought the game, but are considering buying it... go eat tide pods or something, because that’s way more fun than playing this game. It’s not meant for players to get better, rather it’s meant for people to sit still and remain trash and toxic. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy… Expand

    The Story is fine, but sadly it gets completely overshadowed by the multiplayer, which is a campers paradise. I am quite an old player in the CoD franchise and honestly this game is one of the worst i played, if not the worst. The game was profitable only because Warzone was released.

    The developers say they listen but they don't. Anytime you play the multiplayer you have to be lucky or naturally good. You can try to practice but due to the skill base match making your practically isolated from players of different strategies and skills. When at anytime a gun is unbalanced they do multiple nerfs.     I was so hyped to play this game. I love the modern warfare series and finally it seemed like the development team was making good decisions. Now, one of the things I expected was to be able to play the **** game but I couldn't. Turns out on ps4 there's an issue where you can't download it no matter what. I paid for this game and I can't even play it.

There is riot shields, and you can have snapshot grenades (snapshot grenades allow you to see people through walls and other objects) you can also have a heart beat sensor, dead silence (makes all running and walking sounds completely silent), spotter (allows you to see and highlights enemy mines or traps through walls) tracker (tracker allows you to see enemy players footsteps), and with specialist on you can have all of those on at the same time. Along with horrible map design and all of those noob and broken perks it makes multiplayer a horrible experience. There is also skill based matchmaking which is horrible and creates horrible laggy lobbies, there is also no map voting. Now to gunplay. The gunplay in modern warfare is one of the worst if not the worst in any Call of Duty. It is extremely inconsistent. For instance, I have multiple video clips of someone cross map one shot killing me with a shotgun yet I hit marker them with the same shotgun from 5 feet away. I also have a video clip of me hit markering some kids head at least 5 times and he did not die. Now to spec ops, spec ops is an absolute joke and it’s horrible. You can tell they didn’t even try on it. There is not much to say other than that it is a **** and is utterly bad. Now campaign. The campaign in my opinion had good ground, it had great potential, and in many of the cutscenes had excellent graphics. But the campaign ended up not being really good at all. They really messed it up. There is a total of two or three decent missions and all the rest are either meh or just bad. The campaign overall was short feeling for me, didn’t really make sense, and at times very basic, cringey, and cliche.     This is the worst 8 months of my gaming life. This game crashes every 5 minutes and says "Server Disconnected" when i have good internet connection. I have good stat PC (gtx 1660 ti and ryzen 7 16 gb RAM) and this dog *** says to me (Server Disconnected). i bought this game fot full price and i want game, not crashes and lags every 5 minutes.

    The multiplayer is unbalanced and you can't be good unless you're either 1) a god who plays cod 24/7 or 2) a camper. The TTK is insanely low and players are often hard to spot quickly due to camo. This leads to a huge amount of camping and an overall, **** experience

    It's a throwback to COD:4 and the original Modern Warfare.

    The game is fine... But the mechanics of how the game is managed on your device is ridiculous, the game being divided into sections and auto deleting them if you haven't played in a while... Not fun for us casual gamers. Also the way they integrate the next version of the game (cold war) into the menu is terrible, I didn't buy cold war, I boughtodern warfare stop forcing your crap onto me.

    Garbage maps and poor spawns ruin a potentially great multiplayer. The campaign was fun. Maps and perks encourage camping to an extent many maps are impossible to navigate. I got back into COD with Black Ops 4 and this game was a great disappointment. The lone good original map is shoot house with a few decent remakes mixed in.

    Skill based match making is the worst i have seen in multiplayer games. Do you remember old CODs? It was really cool to play with RANDOM SKILL people. But in new CODs when you win game with good score, you will get 3 or more matches with very good players in other team and your KD will be below 1.

The actual review starts in the multiplayer, where you will be actually spending your time and the COOP but I'll get to that later. The Multiplayer is the most bland and boring gameplay I have ever seen in my life. The fast time to kill matched with players who are so incompetent to leave a corner ruins any other entertaining or exciting play style to be used in the Multiplayer. Even casual players who want to get up and go to an objective have to deal with controller aim botting, fast ttk, and meta weapons probably even a shotgun to the face once they round a corner. If you were looking for any excitment to be had in this game mode you're looking in the wrong place if you're not willing to watch a corner and let the controller do the aiming for you. Another big part of the mulitplayer that kills it for most players including me is the SBMM. The Skill Based Match Making will be the death of the franchise because if you do good in 1 game at all you will be matched with sweaty try hards or even more people who will camp corners and not leave until their mothers come in their room to make them do chores. SBMM also connects you to higher ping servers like 70 80 sometimes 120 ping. Another note about SBMM in the game mode of warzone is it'll put you against players that have bought the game pass to try to get you to buy it because the development team intentionally makes the guns OP in the first seasons they're out and if you try to use any other gun against it you're sure to lose. Now on to the COOP. As someone who is a huge fan of the MW3 COOP and loved the survival mode I have been let down so hard it's as if my hopes were thrown off the cliff of marianas trench. The COOP is absolutely garbage. Even with improvements the game mode just isn't fun. Once again you're forced to camp in a corner in some building because of the poor design decisions made within the AI and the different types of enemies within this game mode. Let me start with survival in contrast to MW3's survival. In MW 2019 you have little chance to play this game solo. What i mean by that is I could make it to wave 30 on MW3 survival no problem but for some reason in this cod you can't make it past wave 3 or 4. The guns the AI use such as the shotgun or the AK or even the RPG will destroy you if they catch you off guard and that is mostly due to how little health you have in this game mode. You could survive being shot 100 times in MW3 survival because the game mode was supposed to be fun and they understood that some people wanted to play it solo and you can't win against a horde of enemies without having the health to compensate for it. In this cod you have probably 1 5 round burst fired at you with any automatic and you're dead. That's it. Go back to the menu and try again. Another huge difference between the 2 survival modes I'm comparing is the suicide bombers. Just wow. They sprint twords you with a bomb in their hand and even if they explode from 10 feet away you're very likely to be dealt half your entire health. That would be ok if there were maybe 2 or 4 during one wave right? Well, you would be delighted to know that there are about 20. If they get within 5 feet of you and explode you're pretty much dead. I don't know how this makes sense with the play style of camping in buildings and not having enough health to go outside and fight them because you die so quickly in this game. It's so dissapointing. In comparision, the suicide bombers from MW3 will take 1 shot and they will have about a 4 second delay before exploding, this gives the players time to run away and not be instantly killed or use the suicide bombers to their advantage. That design choice alone shows that the developers of MW3 care more about the fun of the players than making the game realistic or whatever narrative they push for MW 2019 I can't even tell you what it is other than "realistic" maybe. But onto the last thing, the "classic COOP" is actually impossible. Remember how I said you have very little health? Yeah, you have to push against about 50-100 bots, good luck. I just wanted to quickly mention that. I've played this game on and off trying to find some ounce of enjoyment of fun in any of it but I fail to do so. I wish honestly think the developers could have really delivered on this game, it had all the potential for it. But unfortunately they let greed get the better of them. With that and their stubborn ways, the future of this franchise is looking short, especially with it's newest one, Cold War. My advice to you is to just not buy this game. Save your 60 dollars and spend it on anything else. You will thank me later.… Expand

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
