Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

Modern Warfare 2 is easily in my top five COD campaigns, and I was stoked about its surprise release. The month-long PS4 exclusivity is a bummer, but whether you’re a fan of the original or interested in jumping in for the first time, I strongly recommend picking it up on your respective platform when its available. Beenox continues to contribute tremendously to Call of Duty, and Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is unequivocally their best work yet.

MW2 Campaign Remastered is everything you can expect from a remaster of one of the best CoD campaigns and FPS campaigns in general. It looks better, it feels better, even with its occasional audio issues. Still, it is a bit short, and unless you are a true fan or just nostalgic about those days you played it, it is hard to recommend to anyone else, due to its lack of multiplayer and lack of longevity.

The game is just as good as it was 10 years ago, and now looks even better.

With fully updated graphics and sound this, remaster brings the original on par with current day, while keeping the original gameplay. While the choice to bypass the multiplayer altogether, this version is a good choice for those that enjoy a story based FPS with a lot of action and all offers a fine chance for those that gave the campaign in the original a pass.

Playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is like jumping back in time, and it's wonderful. The gunplay, action, and setpieces of Modern Warfare 2 all hold up incredibly well in the modern day, though the controversial content feels more harrowing than ever. For nostalgia, and to see a piece of media from a very different time, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is definitely worth the price of entry. A shockingly good Call of Duty campaign.

Modern Warfare 2 is the technothriller action blaster you need right now, and it's shown why it's still one of the best entries in the Call of Duty franchise… even if it is a bit silly.

An excellent remaster of a bonkers campaign, that feels great to play again. It's just a shame that the Special Ops and multiplayer modes didn't make their way in as well.

The lack of substantial content might make the experience barebones, but it’s enough to provide you an afternoon of well developed FPS action. While playing, it’s easy to see how the series has evolved over the years mechanical, but the responsive and tight controls that it is known for shines during each moment of this unforgettable campaign.

Despite missing its multiplayer component and the past decade's worth of refinement in shooting, Modern Ware 2's campaign is a thrilling and epic as ever, well worth another plunge for nostalgics, or a first dip for newcomers to the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered still proves that is has one of the best solo campaigns inspired from a Hollywood blockbuster. But without its co-op and multiplayer modes, the 25€ price tag feels a bit steep.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is a welcome return for what many consider to be the franchises' finest honest hour. It builds upon the bombastic campaign with luscious new graphics and a selection of small changes that help make it more appealing than ever.

Although the absence of a dedicated multiplayer mode can cause you to turn your nose up, we cannot help but advise you to purchase the reissue of what is, without a doubt, one of the best chapters in the Call of Duty saga.

After 12 years, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is still a good FPS, with great characters and an engaging storyline. We miss multiplayer mode and some level designs feel outdated.
