    This game is wonderfull. Time to kill is so good, the back of pretige System was so good for people who like this system to level up. The maps are playable, different from MW 2019

    I always just read user reviews since they were supposed to represent the average joe (me) . But since Xbox series x didn't have any good release launches, I decided to buy this game anyways, and I am speechless, this game is all sorts of fun, from graphics, to gameplay. What happened "users?" I read a lot of "this is a downgrade from a last generation version of call of duty" if this is aI always just read user reviews since they were supposed to represent the average joe (me) . But since Xbox series x didn't have any good release launches, I decided to buy this game anyways, and I am speechless, this game is all sorts of fun, from graphics, to gameplay.     Call of duty: Black ops cold war takes the old and adds new, unlike black ops 4 where that game took the old that worked that people liked and replaced it for the sake of making something brand new, I'm mostly referring to the zombies in that case, but this game takes the old that fans liked about Black Ops series and adds new to that, without removing the old. As it goes for the Cold WarCall of duty: Black ops cold war takes the old and adds new, unlike black ops 4 where that game took the old that worked that people liked and replaced it for the sake of making something brand new, I'm mostly referring to the zombies in that case, but this game takes the old that fans liked about Black Ops series and adds new to that, without removing the old. As it goes for the Cold War theme and the story.
    I really want to sit down and ask few questions to the people who made the story, ask them things like what they were going for and what message, are they trying to put out if any. I get a few hints in mind. And if it's true I think it's really bad for this game series. The multiplayer can be fun while keeping with the games theme and even giving you an introductory cutscene just it starting up to add to the set theme, but particularly in the multiplayer I don't like the animations in this game. I don't know if it's because I've been spoiled with the motion capture from on MW and there feel for realistic looking
    but fast gameplay they went for. But if I go play Black Ops 3 zombies for some reason I like the animations better. I have a theory that it cold war uses the game engine from Black Ops 4, and I didn't like how that game felt, and a lot of people didn't, as I've heard. As I was playing through the campaign i was thinking about this the whole time but didn't want to admit it but I'm going to admit it.... The reason why they called Black ops and why Hudson woods and Mason are in the game.. they pulled a Disney...you know like other new Star wars movie had all the old characters in it but they were not themselves and we're not involved in the main plot? Basically what they did it feels it me... Little throwbacks here and there but they pulled a Disney it feels like..... Maybe that's why they didn't cast the original voice actor for woods, he probably would have been pissed off like mark hamill was with Luke in The last Jedi. Look... nostalgia....is a good powerful, almost like a drug for the brain, and it helps give a happy feeling, a lot of people loved the original characters and there were bits of them in Black Ops 4, but it seemed like there was a trick for using nostalgia in a way to buy the characters, or the game. what I'm saying is like I tried to explain earlier I feel like they made a "Disney clickbait". If the original crew were not teased in the trailers in this game then not called Black Ops. I don't think it wouldn't have been as popular and I don't think much people would have bought it if it wasn't for them being in the game. They're nothing like themselves, of course they may not sound like them, but from what I know they could have got woods his voice actor easily but they didn't, and for some reason they got a guy who sounds like he's trying to sound like the previous voice actor.... why? I understand that their previous title did not go so well (Black Ops 4). But to bring back, beloved characters from the dead, so to speak, just to have the nostalgia feeling kickin so people would buy your game, then for them to be completely different. Why would you do that?I know people would complain to me and say that's what the new modern warfare did but the new modern warfare reimagined the whole Modern Warfare trilogy, but in modern times. This game, tried to put itself between black ops 1 and 2 story.. But they treated their characters like if they reimagined them? they added bits and histologia to keep you going, there's multiple endings and there's one that makes me question what's the point of this games story? Matter of fact, I think they all do that, and the thing with these Call of Duty games. The theme is the story, and the setting, and if the story is good. The rest of the game feels and looks good. If the theme is trash. The rest of it all falls apart (zombies and multiplayer). To be brutally honest, I'm upset that they didn't try to get james C. Burns To play Woods again, as they did before. It makes sense if you were reimagining the story like Modern Warfare but they didn't, I want to know the truth of why they did not try to get him. Imagine how you made James feel, how you made the fans feel. I've seen a bunch of clips on YouTube of him acting, a bunch of interviews, and that's woods right there. you can't put the body of his character in people's views for nostalgia to get them to buy your game. Maybe that's not what they did. I don't know but that's how I feel and I feel horrible... I feel worse Wondering how James feels. Short summary there is fun to be had with this game, especially the zombies.
    But the theme for both multiplayer, and zombies the bad story and it makes the rest of the experience feel bad. Just like it would in any other Call of Duty game. Not trying to be a hater but this this reminds me of black ops 4, sometimes beloved characters should be put to rest instead of brought out of their grave and treated like this.     You know what **** yeah! This game sucks don't buy lol Just take one look at the zombies menu and the grenade throw animation this is so unfinished it is laughable. This has to be some kind of out season April fools joke and the punch line is people actually giving them money for this quality.

    Another year, another re-skin, but at least treyarch is at the helm this time around so it’s a cut above the rest.     Solid game all around. Great work Treyarch. You took all of the best parts of MW2019 and put your own, Treyarch spin on it. The campaign is an easy 10/10. The story is well told and the freedom to choose makes the game feel more immersive and real. Take your time on it and soak it all in, you’ll come out the other side feeling as if you just lived it. No complaints other than a few glitches here and there but I’m sure they will be ironed out in a few updates. The zombies experience is unique but still very familiar to the old days of zombies. They kept it fresh and it didn’t feel hashed out or like they were trying to re create zombies. Basically, They took it in a slightly different direction but kept the same core zombies experience. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the mechanics, the new Dark Aether story, and the Easter eggs. All in all, 10/10. (If you “get” zombies, you know it isn’t just a mindless game. It’s tough. The Easter Eggs and the grind to find and complete them are what makes the experience whole. There is so much thought that goes into these stories and lore of the overall zombies mode, it’s insane. To claim it as “mindless” IS mindless.) To sum it up, Treyarch knocked it out of the park. I haven’t felt this great about CoD since Modern Warfare 2. It feels new and it feels right. Come at it with the right mindset and you’ll definitely enjoy this years iteration of one of the best video game franchises to date.… Expand

    Just have to say one thing, everyone who says cold war zombies is garbage or trash is stupid. Almost all the best zombies players in the world love it. Just saying. I also just love how almost ever cod player all of a sudden thinks they are a expert on every aspect of cod. If you don't like the game don't buy it, it's that simple because complaining is not helping to fix any problems.

Modern Warfare finally got it right after 12 long years and brought me back into the fray with accurate representations. A bit of realism. A bit less twitch shooting. And now. It feels like they took the simplicity of black ops 1 and mashed it with infinite warfare. Gameplay feels untreyarch like. There's hitmarkers, you don't get points for injuring zombies but only for killing them, and create a class. Also, the Gallo, (a 1250There are some problems. The knife with one pap is vaiable until ROUND 20. And the Ray Gun, while it is rare, is absolutely filthy. Multiplayer has issues as well. You can see your enemy's hp, which doesn't feel right. The mp5 is broken just like mw. Time to kill is like bo4, with the stim regenerating your health in an instant, making kills feel sluggish. The thing that was done the dirtiest was quickscoping though. The Pellington is slow, and gets hitmarkers like there's no tomorrow. Why? Why are modern cods so afraid of quickscoping? While these flaws seem numerous and huge, they should be patched soon, or else this game is gonna crash and burn. Another thing: this game was originally developed by sledgehammer, but then activison gave them the boot and had treyarch finish the development. So, any core gameplay issues could be a result of sledgehammer's doing. So while this game has some issues, Treyarch should patch them soon and the others are probably due to sledgehammer developing most of this game. We shouldn't judge it too harshly, but hopefully things turn upwards.… Expand

    R.I.P. Call of Duty Black Ops franchise. Just like people said, its boring and one dimensional. It's just not good, that's a good summary of the game. Black Ops 1 will always remain the only good game of the Black Ops series

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Campaign: The campaign seemed longer than normal and revived the feeling of being in black ops again. Being sent on top secret missions to take down Perseus. I also love the fact how you can make choices! This part is so underrated and completely changes the game in a good way. When you get to the end you can lie to Adler or tell the truth. If you lie you’ll fight with Perseus to kill your old team and burn America. I love this ending and I think it’s great. On the other hand the truth ending kinda sucks, you’ll stop Perseus setting off nukes and that’s it? Then Adler shoots you? What the hell you don’t even kill Perseus? My overall opinion the campaign deserves a

    Multiplayer: The multiplayer gameplay is pretty good, it feels similar to modern warfare while still feeling the same. I think it feels more like the older games which makes me like it more. I haven’t really had many problems with SBMM but I can see why people hate it. The guns are all pretty well balanced except the mp5 and the m16. They really need to fix those guns. One thing I really don’t like is that’s there’s only 3 pistols but it’s no big deal. Also there are only 8 maps? Although they all are pretty good.     This game is trash, it’s a shame they released it, the graphics are terrible and looks like they are straight from the ps3/xbox360 era. An overall downgrade from MW2019. The multiplayer mode doesn’t have any content at all only 8 maps or so and the weapons are absolutely not balanced at all. The zombies mode which they promise us to be « old school style » is absolutely the opposite, notThis game is trash, it’s a shame they released it, the graphics are terrible and looks like they are straight from the ps3/xbox360 era. All you have to do is type in "SBMM Cold War" into Youtube and you can see just how many people complained about it. We are not asking to remove it. Instead, we are simply asking to have it moved to a Ranked Playlist.

    Solid 7 theres good gameplay and the stat bars actually seem to work properly big downgrade in animations but thats because its a treyarch game and was made in 1 year and modern warfare took 2 years this game has a few guns but im very confident that new guns will be added in future dlc zombies is also a new fun addition looking forward to it

    The game is awful. Gameplay, AI, it's just insulting how bad it is. The campaign is shorter than ever.
    It's impossible to play multiplayer, the connections and the dc's amount are tremendous.
    For them to ship a game like this is tells how much respect they have for their audience.

    The only fun part of this game is the gun customisation. Apart from that, it's AWFUL! Also, stop allowing PC players to play with xbox and PS players, every other game theres a hacker.

    Map design is weird. Un-Treyarch like. Lots of unneeded parts on some maps and quite a lot of dumb head-glitching spots.
    This game is not fast-paced. Lots of campers and head-glitch abusers.
    At least now we have a normal mini-map and a ninja perk.
    SKILL-BASED MATCHMAKING.
    WHY?? Why does it exist?
    I mean, at least add a Ranked playlist and implement it there. But in normal public match lobbies tone it down like in older COD-s.
    Now, I understand that every Call of Duty has had some form of SBMM, but its never been this strict.
    I feel like every match I am playing in a tournament. No fun at all. everyone uses meta weapons because its the only way to suceed and not get absolutely melted. Therefore, messing around experimenting with different weapons and classes is very unenjoyable.
    And talking about weapons, the MP5 is a god gun for another year... yay.
    Connection is worse than in MW, and hit detection is unreliable.
    This game has very little content. Only 8 MP maps of which 2 are smaller versions of bigger maps.
    Plus that fireteam mode.
    Yes, MW had less 6v6 maps but at least MW offered something new in the form of night maps, realism mode and gunfight. This game offers NOTHING new. Repetitiveness at its finest.
    But gunfight is coming in season 1, so that's a plus.
    Ground war is better than fireteam dirty bomb, too.
    Even the UI looks almost identicval to MW.
    Grenade throwing animation takes AGES and can get you killed.
    Positives: less pro-camping elements than MW(doors, no dead silence perk, no normal mini-map, etc), gunsmith returns, GOOD CAMPAIGN, awesome zombies mode; back to basics and good improvements in the form of new perks and the ability to use any weapon at the beginning. Good scorestreaks, better than MW, map voting and way better footstep audio, in this game I can actually hear where the enemies are and don't have to guess.
    Furthermore, it is sad that COD is becoming a 'games as a service' game.
    Instead of immediately including Nuketown and all the Season 1 stuff at launch, the game dishes out the content every month or so. That could've avoided the very little amount of content at launch.
    BUT, I remain hopefull.
    Treyarch is known for listening to the community, so I HOPE they do so this time aswell.
    If they just add a Ranked playlist and give us at least 3 new maps and 2 new weapons in Season 1, I will be happy. Because this game needs content atm.

    Since the release of the alpha, my expectations were really low and I absolutely hated it but since it was an alpha I was hoping for some serious changes and improvements. Unfortunately what we got was a complete disappointment.     Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the latest addition to the COD series. After in depth gameplay the only thing that has been enjoyable is the Zombies. Various glitches have been found and that's normal for a unfinished game to be put out. The Graphics are sub-par almost cartoonist even cheap. The moments and overall gameplay is reminiscent of 2008 shooters. This entry to the series is aCall of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the latest addition to the COD series.     Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ends up mirroring what the Call of Duty franchise offered last year, with some new additions that are also welcome, especially for long-term fans. While being set during a very intense period, the campaign ends up erring for its disappointing longevity, even though the value of repetition is intrinsic to it. Zombies are back in style, while multiplayer gains an excellent new mode, but here it errs again for the arsenal's lack of variety.

    While Cold War is a part of a series I would have said that I loved, I can’t fully embrace it now knowing that this work is trucking in harmful stereotypes via patriotic-tinged gameplay. A decent CoD multiplayer experience will likely emerge from the currently-underwhelming Cold War, but I’m going to seriously consider whether that gameplay is worth enduring (and supporting) the rest.
