And at least there’s split screen right? You cannot even achieve a constant frame rate of 30 while playing in the split screen mode. And most times there would be huge lag spikes when ever a other player was in your field view, making shooting and aiming impossible.

There’s so many micro transactions in this game it actually annoys me so much, especially when every player I’ve seen has bought them. They look stupidly goofy as well.

If I honestly paid full price for this game I would not leave the store I bought it from until they gave me a refund.

This game is horrible it has no campaign which was he best part about the entire series since call of duty 1 along with the microtransactions it makes the game even worse. Why not just make it free to play then you would get more people playing it and more reason to have microtransactions.

"Worst game in the series and it's bound to get worse from here on out."

Blackout could easily be the worst battle royal game I've ever played, its slow, ugly and boring. I haven't even been able to try the zombies mode because no one plays it. COD BO4 could have one of the best multiplayer modes we have seen since MW3 but everything else is trash, this game isn't worth the full AAA price but if you have the money to spare I recommend getting it solely for the multiplayer. Specialists are fun, some fit certain play styles better than others but I don't think any are overpowered. Haven't played a ton of Blackout and zombies, as I'm not super into BR type games and zombies has become a bit much for me, but what I have played of each they are very well done and fun to play. The thing that knocks it down for me is the Black Market track, I wish they had some sort of skill based challenges similar to contracts and orders in WW2 (that don't cost CP) to keep some sense of progression or challenge going. I haven't gotten the pass yet and undecided if I will, 50$ seems like a lot to pay for what is essentially access to 12 maps (since I don't play zombies). I get that it's a way to prevent the player base split that inevitably happens with DLC but it's just a little steep for me. My mood could change quickly if they end up adding in more content or there's a sale. All in all his is the most fun I've had with a FPS since BO2 and don't let all of the negative user reviews about the lack of campaign cause you to hesitate if you're a fan of the series. Expand

    2. Blackout is just activision's sad attempt to get into the new fad of battle royale game modes. They have stated that this will be their main focus going forward, which leaves anyone who likes a traditional CoD game out of luck.

    3. Minigames were the majority of what I played in CoD games since the original Black Ops. I've been dying to see sticks and stones in another CoD game since Bo2, but activision have repeatedly failed to deliver. Games like Infection, one in the chamber, one shot and gun game have also disappeared from this game's playlist unfortunately.

The one point I gave was for the remake of the old maps. They look very good. I just wish there was some fun gameplay to go along with them.

You could tell when it was first released that many things were overpowered and needed to be nerfed, but just recently Treyarch and the other devs listened and made a huge update that fixed many of the problems.
My favorite game mode right now is gun game and it's truly great and reminds me a lot of Bo3. Though Bo4 did try to implement something new - "blackout" so far i have mixed opinions, it can be very fun but things like looting bags (how long it takes) and frame rate dips need to be addressed, it's clear it does need a bit of polishing.

Mechanically the game is very good... HOWEVER:

The game itself is a joke, a load of old maps thrown together in an unfinished way, with no campaign. The Zombies maps are dissappointing. Blackout is the only saviour, but there are major issues with this as well.
The price is disgusting for a remake of old stuff. Would never buy or recommend to anyone

They brought solid maps, solid gun play, relatively balanced characters and guns. That made up a pretty good experience. I will break down my review into each multiplayer mode.

    Battle Royal/Blackout:

I think the BR in BO4 is some of the best we've seen so far, things can still be improved though. Progression is probably the worst thing in Blackout, but this can be improved with a simple patch. Takes a long time to unlock stuff as-is. Gun play is tight and feels responsive. I never felt like I was unfairly killed. Overall 8/10 (Minor bug fixes and better progression would make it a 10)

    Multiplayer:

I spent the most of my time playing various modes in the multiplayer. in my 30ish hours I never noticed any weapon being overpowered, everything had its place. Progression is rewarding, unlocking things like skins or new weapons is very natural (once every couple games) and you always have something to look forward to. The customization of weapons is probably my favorite part, ALL guns feel different. Overall (10/10)

    Zombies:

Probably the worst part of the game. Coming out with one map (and another blocked behind a paywall), though fun made the game feel pretty repetitive. Difficulty is there and playing with friends is a blast. Once they add more maps, it will be a lot better. Overall (7/10)

Conclusion... I can't comment on micro transactions as the game has none yet. It's something to keep an eye on. The $60 you spend on the game, as of this moment is worth it. Overall (8/10)

Keep in mind, this is my opinion and mine alone!

It is heavily sped up. Guns are all along the lines of over-powered, to the point where the first unlockable handgun is just as good as the last unlockable Sub-Machine gun. (A LOT of buffing is gonna need to be done, Activision.) But for what it is worth, the maps are decent.

Moving onto 'Blackout', which is honestly still a flaming hot piece of garbage, but nonetheless I'd much rather play that than Fortnite.

Zombies is where I am giving the game a 5/10. Only because no matter what, Zombies will always hold a special place in my heart. Even if Activision love being tight-asses with their DLC, I will always play the Black Ops series just for that.

IN CONCLUSION: Don't expect anything 'different' in this game, just Black Ops 3.1 with no moon-jumping.

I absolutely love what they have done with that mode; however, I'm severely disappointed by the lack of content that has been added since the release of Black Ops 4. There are several issues I have with this video game, one of them being the micro-transaction system. Currently, you either have to grind for approximately 60 days to get all of the "content" that is in this title, or spend an absurd amount of money. For example, if you like a particular camouflage that is behind supply drops, you have to get it for every single gun in the game. That's just ridiculous! Also, the time to kill in multi-player, at least in core game modes, is much too long on most weapons, other than snipers and specialist weapons. Who thought that was a good idea? Lastly, the removal of single-player was absolutely stupid. Some people, including myself, love campaigns in Call of Duty. Why did Blackout, which is my least favorite mode in the entirety of the game, get the okay to just shove a great concept out the window? I'm not saying this is the absolute worst CoD that has been made, but it's damn close. Expand

With no story mode included, Black Ops 4 can be broken down into its three game modes. These being the regular multiplayer and zombies modes found in most Call of Duty's, but also includes an all-new Blackout mode. The multiplayer is the best it has been for many years. It is ACTUALLY fun to play and very fast pace. The amount of small and medium size maps in the game allow for this to happen. It brings together past favorite maps such as "Nuke Town" or "Firing Range" which adds nostalgia to fans who have been there for years. The weapons feel pretty balanced and have undergone many changes since its initial release. Assault rifles seem to be the most dominant weapons as they can pretty much do everything you could ever want in the game. Snipers have little to no real reason to be used on the smaller maps meaning they feel unusable. The pick ten system they have for creating a loadout is more innovative then it has been in the past. Each weapon is allowed to have their own set of attachments that not every gun would have. There are new specialist attachments that allow for new impactful changes in your weapons however, it takes a couple spots up from your pick ten. Each spot for the pick ten feels way more important then it did before. The equipment almost feels as if it should not be used as well since the different specialist has abilities that are usually better. All the perks could disappear and I do not believe much of the game would change. Only a handful of them actually feels like they are making a difference. Scorestreaks seem to be overpowered at times as they completely change the pace of a game. Choppers and most air units instantly get kills with little time for someone to defend themselves. Zombies have been newly renovated in a couple ways. In the create a class selection you now have the option to pick your own perks and in what order you would like to receive them based off maps. The new map IX is one of my favorites in the franchise. It is linear enough for me to pack-a-punch weapons without the help of a guide. The map simply looks amazing with the many mythologies shown around. Classified brought out old favorites through the maps "Five" and "Moon." Zombies overall are as fun as it has always been in the past. Not too many changes had happened to make it stand out considerably. Blackout is your usual massive battle arena game. It brings out the best that its competitors had to offer and replicates them very well. Using original map design from past games as well shows a lot of care into what they have created. Overall, it is an enjoyable experience that could not be found in games such as PUBG. An issue with the game is that it contains a system of buying tiers in their Black Market section. It works exactly the same as it does for Fortnite. However, the tiers can unlock through simply playing the game. Everything found within their is purely cosmetic as well. Overall Black Ops 4 is an amazing new installment to a failing franchise. Hopefully, Treyarch will be able to keep its fan base happy as they normally do in the past. Expand

All of the matches end in one team 'duck-shooting' the enemy team players after a minute or so. I'm not saying it only because I was loosing, it worked both ways; I could not fire a single bullet and my team would win the game. There is nothing the losing team can do once an enemy team gets a battleship or attack helicopter killstreak. I'm going back to Black Ops 3 multiplayer.
    Zombie Mode:
Zombies are ok. You have new monsters, elixirs, perks etc. You can kill some time with it, but zombies with each iteration of the franchise lose the appeal to me. Maps are so big and puzzles so difficult, that they stop being fun at all. Just treacherous and tedious shooting and running around the giant map. I wish they would go back to relatively small and really perfected maps like in Black Ops 2, were killing the hordes of zombies was really fun.
    Blackout Mode:
You will be better served by other games at fraction of the price.

Teammates are uncooperative for the most part, many times even a threat.
Microtransactions everywhere, anything from a map in zombie mode, to a red dot sight for your rifle.
This multiplayer PVP game has aim assist.
    Hitboxes are garbage.
    Occasionally shots don't register.

    (Good things)
Zombie mode is okay alone, or with friends.
Battle Royale can have its' moments, when the team actually works together.
Battle Royale is okay alone, or with friends.

    (Side-notes)
I'd recommend you drink heavily if you intend to play this game, though that may just make you angry.

Also there is no campaign, though I can't decide if that's for better or worse in a series that clearly only cares about what makes the most money.

I've actually paid £80 in total for all the upcoming content which has been p**s poor up to press. On a positive note the online maps seem to a certain extent well thought out to reduce camping spots, but not perfect. Leveling up the guns and mastering them is a chore and repetitive and as always the game comes with the standard great when you winning but cr*p when your losing mindset. A solid game which i do enjoy but lacking way too much to give it more than a 7. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a very odd take on the Black Ops series. The game fells almost like a free-to-play app. The removal of a campaign and the addition of a battle royale makes Black Ops 4 feel way different than it's previous installments. It was well received when it was first announced back in May 2018, getting everyone hyped for a new Call of Duty. When it first came out in October, the game was praised for it's intense gameplay and its cool new battle royale, but the game's glory didn't last for long. The graphics from the new engine BO4 ran on was a bit potato compared to BO3. The DLC rolled in, and the hate began to hit real hard after that. A lot, and I mean a lot of the DLC was "recycled content", consisting of guns from older CoD's, and re-used zombies maps with a "new story", and the return of supply drops; Because you can't make a Call of Duty game without micro-transactions. Blood of the Dead, Ancient Evil, Alpha Omega, and Voyage of Despair were very big let downs and were developed with the intention to make them "better than ever." The guns in previous Call of Duty's were balanced very well between each other, and while the base guns that don't require a supply drop to get, the other guns are very pay-to-win. Although some are okay (And some suck), others are very unbalanced and unfair at times. The S6 Stingray, AN-94, Grav, and Peacekeeper are all pretty powerful, and you don't even need a supply drop for the Grav. The Locus is a re-used weapon as well, but it's "meh", and the Vendetta is weak. The point is, Black Ops 4 is a game that was primarily made to compete against other Triple A titles and for nostalgia. I can't finish this review without talking about Tag Der Toten. In BO3, the final map to end it all was supposed to be Revelations, but everyone paniced, so Treyarch had to continue the Zombies story for just a little longer. Tag Der Toten (Day of the Dead) was named to be the opposite of Nacht Der Untoten (Night of the Living Dead), which was the first zombies map ever. The map is a re-master of Call of the Dead and takes place in the summertime, rather than winter (It's still cold). The map has the Victis crew (From Tranzit) as the last crew to ever see. The map is overall a great ending to a well-loved series, and I for one think that even though Black Ops has some pretty bad flaws, doesn't make it terrible enough to stop playing. Expand

One of the worst CoDs ever. Worst MTX we have ever seen and many unnecessary new features were added that make the game just worse (for example 150 health and self healing). Also the maps are all pretty bad exept the remastered ones which is pretty sad. In addition to that there was almost none new content after launch. Only good thing is the movement and the BR mode.

I was unfortunate enough to get suckered into purchasing the black ops pass thinking it would provide some cool content or incentives for purchasing it but like many others was left feeling completely ripped off. They might as well have just marketed this game as a strictly battle royal game only and left out the traditional multiplayer because the BR mode is the only one they actually put any real effort into and unfortunately I'm not a fan of that genre of game. The multiplayer is filled with horrible spawn points that leave you frequently getting spawn killed, quickscopers, horrible match balancing that results in sometimes playing for hours without a single win due to very unbalanced teams, and lastly the specialists that were supposed to be the selling point in the game that end up making it the most annoying experience of all. Most of the specialists are useless, a lot the specialists abilities are extremely OP (Zero). I do not see this game lasting as long as they marketed it for, once Modern Warfare drops the playerbase for this game in multiplayer is going to have a huge drop off. Expand

I'll tell you why further down, but first off let me address the things they did right: Gunplay is predictably solid has been polished by nearly two decades of perfecting the Call of Duty formula. Visuals are fantastic plain and simple, and emblem/weapon customization is unexpectedly in-depth. Now these are about the only things they've gotten right. Hidden beneath all of the usual CoD-iness you'll find that the game is engineered in every way possible to nickel and dime players in the most atrocious methods possible. Let me address the most ridiculous thing they decided to do: Lock weapons behind lootboxes. These weapons are the S6 Stingray, the Peacekeeper, the Locus, and the Ballistic Knife. This has to be the most scummy thing I've ever seen happen in a game. The usual progression system has been thrown through the weapon in favor of an EA-esque "Surprise Mechanics" style of locking content behind gambling. You could pour in hundreds of dollars into these "reserve crates" and get naught for your efforts, so imagine how nonsensical it is for them to lock behind any amount of content behind an in game purchase. I've just recently played a game against someone that was lucky enough to be graced with a ballistic knife and it was ridiculous. A melee weapon that has the capabilities of shooting an insta-killing projectile. That's the type of stuff Activision is bribing their playerbase with. The incentive for giving in to Treyarch's demands and acquiescing any number of reserve crates through real money is complete unhindered access to weapons that only the rich or lucky 1% could ever get their hands on. This represents issues on a much deeper scale than previously thought possible. Not to mention how O' Generous Treyarch has decided to "bless" us with an in-game event where we get free access to DLC maps for a whopping whole two days. Why thank ye kind masters, this bountiful feast would surely excuse the shoveling of unwanted lootboxes down every single one of our loyal throats, so please keep on pouring! Surely one of the loyal peasantry would get the opportunity to have been bequeathed the god-tier S6 Stingray by our almighty overlords before they **** US AND TAKE OUR WALLETS. This goddamn behavior is INEXCUSABLE. What has possessed these fools to lock every ounce of content behind paywalls? There's no singleplayer campaign, blackout is a damn joke, zombies might be fun for those that like horde shooters, maps that would've otherwise been added to the base game in any other situation are sold to us in "packs" and wagged in front of us like a freaking chewtoy, and finally they decide to shove weapons into slot machines to incentivize gambling. What a damn joke this was, unfortunately I already bought the game or else I'd have never touched thus franchise with ten foot rod. Heed my words naive adventurer, stay as far away from this unholy cesspool of a game if you can help it. You will only end up $30-60 lighter and will only feed this damn demon's bottomless greed. Do not encourage these anti-consumer practices and do not fall prey to Activision's schemes. Expand

Have the time when I play a multiplayer game, it queues me in when the game is 90 - 20. It's also obvious that they only want money considering the loot box system is completely **** You are not going to get a gun you want unless you get a bribe or a crate. And wouldn't you know it you have to buy crates. It wouldn't be much of a problem if it weren't for the most overpowered weapons in the game were only able to be gotten in the crate. For examples of the guns: Stingray, Daemon, and ballistic knife. You can also tell that they were lazy by all of the maps. Half of them were just reused. You could also tell the laziness because they completely took out the campaign. Just why. And then you got blackout. You could tell the company was just going to try with this because fortnite was popular at the time. Yet it sucked. Like a lot. It's the only thing I can't really play in bo4. Half the time when I'm playing I just get ran over. When you got to league play half the guns have been removed. That's how you know the game is completely unbalanced. This is not a complete list of things wrong with the game but I just wanted to give an idea. But if you're thinking about buying the game just don't. I wasted my money on it and am just unhappy. Now lets get to the point, I was very disappointed. I had high hopes for this game and Activision through it out the window. Ever since Fortnite came out, 12 year olds started to love the game and it was a big hit to the video game world. The game had two aspects that influenced developers to copy this down. First of all they got the tier list which was the more exp you gained the more you could unlock. And you had the premium version and the normal version. On to the second aspect was the battle royal, of course there had already been games with a battle royal, but not as intense as Fortnite. With 100 players and a boundary closing in on players which makes the game a little more intense. Even though PUBG did this before people still ignored that. A new battle royal and a tier list influenced game creators. So games started having these tier lists and battle royals included. And you may be wondering, what does this have to do with COD. Well the people who played the game is obvious. When I heard that Black Ops had a battle royal like Fortnite's, I was exited. I bought the game then when I opened it up, it was somewhat good. It was decent for a few days until I found out that there was no story mode. And i was mortified dammit! A COD game with no story mode............ God did what! And apparently there was a story mode, but it was a tutorial merged with the story. And that made it even worse. The cutsences were short, and when I mean short, it was like 10 seconds long. Maybe even shorter. The gameplay wasn't even part of the story. Actually should i even try to call it some sort of story. If they just put it as a tutorial and not show any resemblance of a story, and just showed all the characters backstories, I would give this game a 5. For my standards anything a 5 or over is good game and rating. The tutorial made the game bad, not horrible but just bad. Expand

Will they be back? Will they disappear forever? Nobody knows. All of these extra multiplayer modes (nuketown, sticks and stones, etc.) and blackout modes just need to stay in the game 100% of the time. Also, there are guns that you can ONLY get by paying real money. The kicker? They’re THE BEST GUNS IN THE GAME. I say this game falls in the middle because of the fact that it did delivered new content at launch and it also had great gameplay too ( better than MW ). Overall the MP was pretty good , apart from the specialist and scorestreaks , it wasn’t bad. I really enjoyed it too.

Blackout was one of the better parts of the game and it was a really good spin on the battle royale franchise. Though I didn’t play it a whole bunch because I wasn’t into BR. But I did try it a few times and it was good.

Last but not least there’s zombies , i feel like zombies was a really fun game mode with new storyline and a new way to play it. Though not as good as black ops 3 , it still had a very good style of game play that I enjoyed. I think the one thing that disappointed everyone was the micro transactions , but what did you expect. It is activision i mean. They will always do this with every CoD. But it wasn’t as bad as Bo3 ( in bo3 there were like 50+ weapons in supply drops compared to now where there’s only around 7 or 10 ).

Anyways this game wasn’t super disappointing, it was just an average CoD.

This is a review of Black ops 4 after it has fully finished its content and I must say this was a disaster many call of duty fans are gonna remember

Lets start with Blackout a controversial mode put in because battle royale was popular at the time and got rid of the campaign (most likely from all the hate towards bo3 campaign as well). This had so much potential and sadly it flopped..... hard. We got one new location in the entirety of a year, i hate to compare it to fortnite but at least they consistently kept it fresh to keep the player base playing the game. Zombies where a nice addition though and quest items to get characters was a great addition I really liked and sadly we never got anymore after launch apart from Multiplayer outfits. Some of the new modes where interesting with the best being the small Alcatraz map mode, none though really surprised me so I just stuck to playing the core modes.

Multiplayer was bad as well. Most of the weapons which came with the new operation where way too overpowered and didn't get the necessary nerf. How can i forget to talk about the god awful specialist and how overpowered some where to others eg. torque was useless while nomad was op. This really ruined the experience and most of the new maps where completely forgettable. Finally the modes in this were fine like the st patricks day mode was fun and so was heist but sadly we didn't get enough new and unique modes but ones we already had in previous games (just like the specialist)

Zombies.... this breaks my heart how this went from the massive hype of bo3 to this absolute trainwreck. We are introduced to a new crew named the chaos crew which where forgettable with the only real characterization going to scarlett and the other characters, well, you will have to read comics for. Four launch maps was unbelievable, but sadly only one of the maps was the high quality which we expected, this map was IX. Voyage of despair was tedious to play and the two Aether maps where remakes which destroyed their classic maps. Then came the DLC season..... damn this was horrible. Dead of the Night was garbage, too many zombie types and new characters was an insulting punch to the player base. No content for a long time after that, I believe it was for four months. Blackout and Multiplayer getting consistent updates while the zombie playerbase was given nothing but gauntlets which where boring. Finally we get ancient evil its great but its on the Bo4 engine so eh it will be forgotten sadly. Alpha Omega and Tag Der Toten where bad, no CGI intros or outros for the end of 10 years, this was bad, what happened, well probably funding cuts. How are the maps? just like all the other bo4 maps, forgettable. The ending to zombies pissed a lot of people of, it pisses me off but not as much, its the closure we needed, still we wanted a satisfying ending not a shocking ending. Also factions.... we don't talk about that.

Specialist HQ is one of the most insulting things added, trying to add a campaign story to get you excited for probably the next black ops. Don't get me wrong I like the idea it has but really did we need cutscenes? no we just want to try out the specialist to see what they do. So yeah this was trash.

All the broken promises, laziness and greedy tactics is what destroyed what could of been a return to form but sadly this continues the spiral down for the call of duty franchise. Maybe we get a call of duty every two years to polish the games and never get a disaster like bo4 again.

Specialists can be annoying at times but it will cost you a bit if you are one to getting long streaks. Let’s talk micro transactions. These are a pain in the neck most of the time. But, Treyarch nerfed it a bit so it is not as annoying. Especially with the new black market update coming soon to make it easier to get other guns. League Play basically removes all your MP problems. Less specialists, team based modes, NO dlc weapons. Just skill and teamwork. Would rate mode 10/10. The only problem (more on Ps4 and PC then Xbox) is finding a lobby. I can never find a lobby in PS4 but I can on Xbox. Before MW, it takes a while to find a match (1 minute or less) because you need to find a lobby with people about your skill. Skill based matchmaking. The saving grace of BO4, Black freaking Out. Blackout is the reason why the day 1-(a lot) had many problems. The developers rushed to make this mode perfect. To be fair, it was perfect. Better than Fortnite obviously. Many LTMs fun ones too. Map changes between every Operation (no more Expand

So the thing is is that there are alien trolls and undead and stormtroopers in the game, to be specific those count as real world animals when a universe has consistent cause and effect, makes sense and is good. It is Disney Star Wars so it does none of those things. The real world actually only refers to everything that has consistent cause and effect. This is objective factual and indisputable, don't be retarded by pretending it isn't. Everything I have said in response to the above statement from @WrittenRage is indisputable fact.

Sério, se formos tratar ''Call of Duty'' dessa forma tão banal, é melhor abandonar.

Good lord, what a waste of time. Treyarch has clearly lost their touch. I thought that Black Ops 3 was an average game at most, a 5-6 out of 10. Not the worst CoD game I've ever played, but it definitely held the title as my least favorite in the series.

Until Treyarch released Black Ops 4 three years later. Single player campaign? Gone and replaced with the INSULTING Specialist HQ. A multiplayer mode that took core aspects of COD gameplay and threw it into the trash in favor of MORE Specialists and other B.S. Campaign was replaced with "Blackout", a battle royale mode which "does it only the way Black Ops can". Blackout was nothing more than Fortnite and PUBG with a Call of Duty skin (and with graphics that would've been bad on a PlayStation 2). Zombies is still the best gamemode (it was the best in BO3 as well), but even then it's a severe downgrade. As much as I enjoy playing maps like "IX" and "Blood of the Dead", it doesn't make up for the outright atrocities of "Voyage of Despair" and "Dead of the Night", and the fact that the final two Aether maps EVER were nothing more than remakes of "Nuketown" and "Call of the Dead" with no CGI cutscenes was insulting to the Zombies community.

Do not buy this game. Do not even get it when it's free. Treyarch should have to pay YOU to play this trainwreck. It's very clear that the devs gave up on Black Ops 4 very early in its life cycle. And if the devs don't care about the game, then why should us players care about it?

But that main complaint is a huge one. I do enjoy playing in hardcore... its fun in its on way but I just wish I was better in regular modes. I've played a little of Blackout... just not my scene... not that good in battle royales. This a pretty good cod imo.

Black Ops 4 is an uninspired generic first-person shooter. The multiplayer is mediocre at best with small 3 lane maps and recycled maps from older Black Ops games. The battle royale mode Blackout is okay but nothing special. This game isn't bad, just bland, generic and uninspired.

Tired of greedy companies pushing online only games. Not even a story/campaign. All that's left for split screen: -Recycled maps with bots
    -Zombie mode

That was the last CoD I've bought (glad I waited for second hand to be disappointed)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me just start off by saying if i had to rate this game out of 10 i would definitely give it a 9. I wouldn't say it is the best Call of Duty Black Ops, because black ops 2 will forever be the best Call of Duty ever. Although black ops 4 is up there, it's just not quite there. I want to start off with the bad things about the game that i don’t like or things that i would change. First I am very disappointed that there is no campaign, that was something I looked forward to in every single call of duty and for it to not be in this one I was a little upset. I am also not a very big fan of the weapons in the game, I prefer the weapons from like black ops 2 and 3 especially the snipers from those games. Other than those small things I do really enjoy the game and I would recommend it to everyone that likes playing video games, and i'm going to tell you why. First thing is I absolutely love the maps in the game, they all have the main spot where all the action is and I love that and think it's great to get a lot of kills. Next thing I want to say is I absolutely love how there is a battle royale mode in the game. I think this is perfect for the game because everyone loves fortnite and want a game like that and they did a great job putting that in the game and making it so fun to play. Another thing I really enjoy about the game is how they have cool reactive camos, and I'm so happy that they added the weapon accessories and the death effects. For the accessories you can win these little things that hang off the side of your gun from the black market and they have all sorts of things to put on there. I think they did a great job with adding the thing where whenever you level up you get a reward, so it is kind of like the battle pass from fortnite and there are some good rewards you can get too. Now there are a couple reasons why i would recommend this game to almost everyone that plays video games, and the first being it's simple and easy to play. My 5 year old sister can pick up the controller and play the game. It's just too easy, I don't understand how some people are bad at the game. All you have to do is point the gun and shoot, not that hard. Another reason I think everyone should get this game is because if you don't like the multiplayer version then you have other options, zombies and the battle royale version. I play zombies almost everyday and let me tell you it is so fun and I could sit there all day and play the game. You could also play local multiplayer which means that you are playing against bots and not real people so that is fun to just mess around and kill a bunch of bots. Overall I think it is a great game and I would recommend it to everyone that likes shooting games. I think it is a great game for all ages. I also think that the battle royale version is better than fortnite. Expand

It’s not that I can’t respect it — it seems to offer decent value in that it’s essentially three different types of shooter in one package, but aside from the new Blackout mode, I’ve had significantly better experiences from many of its competitors. And honestly, Blackout’s main competition is a free-to-play game. It may be better than Fortnite in my opinion, but sixty dollars better? I’m not entirely convinced about that, and without a decent singleplayer campaign attached, it’s a pretty hard sell for anyone who isn’t already a fan.

Despite its generic title Black Ops IV feels like a fresh start for Call of Duty. The multiplayer and the zombie mode is very much the same as always, but with Blackout, Treyarch takes everything that is good with Player Unknown's Battleground and makes it better.
