Just in case you’d forgotten that Bloodborne was one of the best games of the year, The Old Hunters should seal the deal and place it near the top of the list. Generously difficult, filled with hours of new story, and packed with interesting areas to explore and enemies to die to, The Old Hunters is a great addition to the game and should not be missed.

The Old Hunters is a devilishly challenging addition to an already brutal game. With its release, Bloodborne transforms into an even beastlier and more grotesque experience, and it’s better than ever—a blood diamond in the rough even in a year chalked full of incredible releases.

It’s such a shame that this is the only expansion that is going to hit Bloodborne. With a great attention to detail, and meaningful changes to single player, we can only wonder what other sort of innovative ideas From Software had in store for us before their plans changed. Still, The Old Hunters enables Bloodborne to go out with a bang, and a challenging one at that.

The Old Hunters faithfully adds to the gothic adventure of Bloodborne, and reminds you how delightfully wicked that bunch at From Software really are.

The Old Hunters is a decent expansion for Bloodborne owners. It gives you 10 new weapons, tons of content and 4 different boss fight. If you loved Bloodborne, you'll definitely love The Old Hunters too.

If you own Bloodborne, you should own The Old Hunters. This add-on offers more enemies, weapons, items and locations to discover and it fits perfectly with the rest of the game. The enemies are meaner and tougher than ever before and that is exactly what we have been asking for.

It's filled with content (almost 15 hours to get to the optional fifth boss), new weapons and more variety in the combat system, and even new fascinating areas of Yarnham. Fans should really consider buying this DLC, especially since it will be the only one dedicated to the game.

Old Hunters is more Bloodborne. Neither better, not different. More content, more challenging bosses and more weapons. If you loved it in February, you're gonna love this DLC.

A gruesome descent into hell filled with relentless challenge in every inch, The Old Hunters is a great continuation of Bloodborne, even if it ends feeling rather short and some recycled elements make it lose some luster.

If you plan on tanking through and have the chops to get it done, I still feel the $20 price more than worth it to get some new weapons and clothing to carry into your NGP.

The Old Hunter’s is a great expansion for die hard fans of Bloodborne. It brings a good amount of fresh content to the game without doing anything to alter the formula. It’s more of the same, which is a good thing. Just be prepared for the difficulty as it is as unrelenting as ever.

My only real complaint with The Old Hunters is the length. Depending on how you play it, you can easily finish the entire thing in under a few hours.

It's a testament to how expertly-crafted this DLC is that I can replay the base game in preparation, still get my ass kicked to an embarrassing degree, and ultimately walk away feeling satisfied and as capable as ever. The Old Hunters is definitely more "hardcore" than anything From Software has cooked up in recent memory, but those who want this know who they are, and for that select group, The Old Hunters is everything they signed up for and more.

The Old Hunters is a very good DLC that needs some time to gain full momentum and even during weaker moments its quality is high. The artistic vision isn't as clear and overwhelming as in the basic game but I had great fun and all Bloodborne fans will feel the same, I'm sure.

We expected a bit more from a “lore” standpoint, but this is still a great expansion, with amazing new weapons and extremely challenging bosses and situations. Quite the treat for Souls fans.

The Old Hunters is inconvenient to access and its first moments aren’t inspired, but it has the ability to rise in the next areas, where we find great level design and the ability to continue to surprise us.

The Old Hunters provide invaluable hindsight through this nightmare, exhuming Yharnam's darkest secrets while fleshing out the gameplay with an extended set of tools. Therefore it's not only an addition to Bloodborne, but a truly fundamental part that should have been - and probably was - lying there from the beginning.

Ironically, The Old Hunters gives Bloodborne players more of what they want by obscuring its own nature. It's attractive because it still delivers a feverish unknown to a ravenous base.

I might sound down on a lot of aspects of The Old Hunters, but ultimately, it will satiate most fans out there.

It’s great to see some new areas and bosses for Bloodborne, but as it stands I don’t find it necessary. Most that love Bloodborne will eat this new content up with a silver spoon wanting more. I’m content with what the base game offered, and find it almost unnecessary, but I do appreciate what is offered for those wanting more reasons to jump back into the world of monsters and hunters.
