    A total waste of time, money and potential. I am starting to believe that anyone can release anything, in any state or quality, with no projections on mostly anything in the game industry and that's how its gonna be for now on

    Simply put- I hated Biomutant! The narrator is annoying and they use a stupid baby language like “mooma” “popsi” etc. Hated that! It stunk not finding a needed suit for the environment like the no-oxygen zone. The story is really lame and wants you to choose going for the light/good side. Although it looks open-world it’s really pretty linear with waypoints to next events. It has extremelySimply put- I hated Biomutant!     The main issue with this game on PS4 is how poor it runs. Even turning the frame rate down doesn't help with the drops and general stuttering that happens when you're just running around the map. Add a bunch of enemies on top of that and it literally gave me a headache when I was trying to maneuver around during combat. Disappointed that I can't get a refund.

It would be an offence even as a birthday gift. It's an offence to receive this game even for free, because it's an insult to the gaming community and to developers who work hard to give us beautiful and exciting games. Biomutant is notreally????     graphics of this game is a joke, it seems a game from 2005 with very poor textures, bland world design and no attention to detail. Game is tedious, you are constantly interrupted by the narrator (even if you disable it!!!), no man this game deserves a zero rating

    What can I say, visually speaking it's one of the worst games I tried so far in years...it seems like it was developed like shiiit, carelessly, it has no attraction, it's horrible to play, not original, stupid quests, ordinary environments, invasive speaker for every single step you give. Stay away from this game

    Yet another disappointment in a long line of disappointments. Narration gets irritating VERY fast. The the environments look nice at first glance but there is some serious texture popping and most of the game world is somewhat empty. Then there's bad combat, audio issues and just the general blandness of the entire game. And being a small studio is not an excuse for putting out a bad game.

    Unfortunately another example of a getting hyped and pay for a game but getting nothing in return. The narrator is annoying, the combat system is crap, the main story is laughably short and i'm not willing to waste my time on finding secrets and Easter eggs and doing side missions.

    i really tried and want to love this game but it just feels like an indie game rather than AAA and the narrator... stopping you play the game every other minute, its 1min gameplay then unnecessary cutscene where you lose all control.

    This game is a mess in all of its aspects, it feels like a joke, one you have to pay for LOL The amount of people who worked on it has nothing to do with the game they delivered. If you cant make it, don't overscope, and more important, don't sell an unfinished pile of assets and nonsense like an AAA. If you really like this game, you need to play more.

    ma che schifezza è sto gioco? ma che è na pagliacciata? mai vista sta grafica cosi schifosa in oltre dieci anni che gioco, ridicolo farlo pagare 59 euro. Gioco noiosissimo e bruttissimo, e quel coglione che parla in continuazione per dirti quello che devi fare e come giocare. Faccio fatica a trovare un gioco più brutto nella mia ludoteca.     Худшая игра этого года из крупных проектов. Разбили все надежды в пух и прах. Мало того что уныло, так ещё и с оптимизацией под ПС5 не смогли. Поставил 2 бала только в память о дарксайдерс.

The bosses are like, build a mech and fight it....so ok something else then the actual combat and they are not hard or anything just build, repeat.    This game utter fails on everything, it tries to do a lot and managed to fail on every single part.

    This is yet another miserly game with zero creativity or any good ideas, it just tries to take from other games and performs worse in every aspect.

I plated for three hour and the game was still in tutorial and there was no sign of the game justvletting you play. Combat I'd horrible, floaty and inaccurate. The narrator is anouying AF.

    Biomutant is a game that excels in the early beginning of the game. But the longer you play, the more cracks begin to show. Almost no variation of enemies, boring & easy combat, childish names and stupid narrator.

Graphics are the worst I’ve seen in years, It’s not a AAA, gameplay sucks because its voice off, battles are way worst than a PS2 game… KEEP YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY IT

    The game looks like a total garbage on ps5. There was a patch that made everything nice and beautiful and 4k and then they launched hotfix for this patch that made everything even bigger garbage.

    Developers should launch the games when the games are ready. Make yourself a favor and don’t buy this game.

    Unfortunately if a game has a AAA price tagged, it gets reviewed as a AAA game. There are plenty of masterpiece indie games with less than $20 pricetags. Though the team had vision, they overreached their goal and ultimately fell extremely short on the execution. If this was being sold for $30-40 dollars, the reviews would be much different to reflect that.

    As $60 dollar game this would be a 6 tops Unfortunately the rating is 6.9 due to fake 10s so I will be giving it a 1.    … Expand

I feel like floating on a layer of air in stead of standing, walking, running and fighting on a solid ground. The moving distance produced by the same action is not the same so I just confuse about what I'm should do during a fight, since I just can't presume the outcome of the move after making it.

    All the attacks hit like waving feather at a piece of wood and hitting feedback from the enemies is confusing plus with the problem that sometimes they fight back, some times they don't, I just can't tell if I've hit them or not.

    2. The animations that cut in all of a sudden are disrupting: After all most every 5 minutes of gameplay in the first hour, there is a animation which will stop me from operating my character and that really piss me off. It was like I finally seems to sink in the game but the narrator just pull me out of it for another wait. Whats more, the animation don't quiet match the last movement I made before it cuts in so my character might flash away form the place where it last stopped and I can feel the cut like, for example some frame is missing due to the censorship.

    3. All the conversation with the NPC is the same of the animation I've mentioned above, so...

    4. The so called mutant is just another skin for "build" in common RPG. You are just picking skills like before so don't be too excited about it.

    In a word, this game is like half made beta and even the main spot light: act and kongfu is not appealing at all during my game play, not to mention the rest of the parts.

    Perhaps in the future the game with be patched to a nice one but now It just doesn't worth the price. Skip it and skip the regret.

    Mi mayor problema con este juego es que el gameplay es aburrido, No puedo fijar yo la mira, cuando golpeo a un enemigo no siento esa sensacion de que le he hecho daño
    Por otro lado el juego cuesta 60 y no parece que esta completo las texturas parecen que las compraron en una pagina por ahi y las agregaron al juego

    A boring addition to open world games with nothing but repetitive busywork to do. Don't be fooled by the visual style, it is not fun. Don't be fooled by all the contrarians trying to feel special by loving a game that critics are **** on. I'm stuck with this crap and no option of a refund, don't risk wasting your money.

    A beautiful world, character design and soundtrack. You can decide on the kind of character you want to create, enjoy your style of combat and explore the world.
    That is until you meet the final four bosses in the game which are no fun, cripple the game and ruin it all. Those fights feel like they were designed separate from the rest of the game.     I played for about 4 hours now and had to come in here to see what others think about it. My take: 1. Very flimsy and weird combat. Not satisfying at all. It also feels weak and the controls aren’t good. 2. You can’t lock on enemies more than a couple of seconds. If you shoot or evade it let’s go of the lock. Extremely frustrating. 3. You almost can’t dodge sometimes. Maybe I’m too usedI played for about 4 hours now and had to come in here to see what others think about it. My take: 1. Very flimsy and weird combat. I walked in circles about ten times, tried every fast travel point I could (you cannot fast travel from here ) and gave up as I wasn't too in to the story anyway.     The narrator always repeating himself.
    No matter what build , guns will always outshine everything.
    Special Powers are not even worth it.

    I understand the dev team is small but this game didn't quite make it and not worth the price ( I would pay 10 bucks for a thing like this ).

The world looks great but it’s empty. It follows the trend of miles wide, inch deep open-world games and is somewhat similar to Ubisoft formula albeit not as fun nor polished. Once I started playing however, I realised how shallow the experience is. The world looks great but it’s empty. It follows the trend of miles wide, inch deep open-world games and is somewhat similar to Ubisoft formula albeit not as fun nor polished. Mission objectives usually require you to ride from point A to B, most of the goals are so far away that you need a long time to get there. Weapon crafting is great and I hope more games implement similar mechanics. The story is a disaster. Most of the main story-line comprises of fetch quests and then some boss fights, which are not memorable nor enjoyable. Some people probably enjoyed the narrator however, I can’t stand him, because every character seems the same and there is no variation, which is a shame as most of them look pretty cool. I understand that the game was made by a small number of people however it is sold for a AAA price and so it should be reviewed as such. It’s worth 20 bucks at most. Simply put, the game is not well executed, lacks cohesion, the story is very disappointing, some aspects are downright boring and uninspiring. One of the most disappointing game I have ever played, and one of the worst games of this year so far. I can’t believe how there are so many 10/10s. Save your money for something better… Expand

Is this what you want to spend 60 bucks for in future? Do you really think this game is worth its money in comparison to Last of Us, God of War etc.? When you rank this game a 10 and spend this much money for it, then tell me what will you pay for the next AAA+ game? 200$? And then you rank it a 7? Come on be honest and do not post false ratings (+ if you are seriously thinking it is a good game please do yourself a favour play one of metacritics must-play ranked games and see what a good game really is like)
    Review: Sadly I have to say this game is not finished at all. At least three more years of developement would have been necessary to make this game good. The graphics of how the grass and the trees move or the climbing are just horrible. The fighting system is so messy and chaotic there are no things like clean and smart combos. I also miss quick time events, challenging climbing or tricky puzzles. Everything is too simple - unlimited sprinting, ammo and attack power make it far too easy. The world is like No Mans Sky: sometimes quite nice from outside but empty when you begin to explore. There is nothing but tons of loot and some enemies. It is not worth exploring the world - there are no hidden secrets, things to discover or side quests that lure you deeper into this world. You never get a connection to any of the characters or tribes so you never feel any kind of reason to save the world or help them. The karma and decission system is totally pointless. You can redeem your karma if you have done something bad already with the next decission you make - there are never any consequences you must face. Additionally switching between good and evil choices seems to confuse the dialogues a lot - they make even less sense than they already do (and they are very VERY meaningless and stupid most of the time). The game often tells you to talk whith a caracter but they don't have anything at all to say to you. Sometimes while fighting big enemies when you dodge and get too far away from them they loose interest and go away which resets their health bar (this is so annoying). The big boss fights against the world eaters are not a little bit exciting, sadly they are buggy as hell and way too scripted. Be careful the game is not able to reset you in a safe zone if you die too deep in for example a heat zone - you will get stuck in a death loop and only way to get out is loose all your progress since last manual save. The whole game especially the conquering of other tribes outposts is really repetative and if you are playing as a good guy it ends already after 2 tribes and you've got peace with everybody (even less gameplay). And not forget to mention a story is almost not existant - I don't want to spoiler but between the boss fights (the main target of the game) and the decission for the evil root there are very huge contradictions in logic. It almost feels like the game is only developed to choose a "good" tribe so it leads to the good ending - the evil way is not integrated in the story or the gameplay at all since you do the same exact tasks as if you were good even though it makes no sense. Why would I fight the world eaters (which prevents them to destroy the tree) if I am evil and want exactly this to happen??? This is really frustrating. The whole idea is creative but this isn't even a B ranked game - don't know what I spent 60€ for. There would be so much more to criticise but I want to end my review here. After 12h I finished the game, only reason I finished it is because I am so angry I spent so much money for a this crap.    … Expand

    The game tries to be innovative and cute, but unfortunately after few hours it gets boring repetitive and extremely annoying. After some time I had to play on mute just not to hear the narrator for a while. And the puzzle is so easy it's insulting. Even for children... On top of that at least one trophy seems to be bugged. It is pretty tho. Eye candy with nothing much to offer...

I'm at a point where my character can literally walk around, shock everyone on screen and regain health from that. I slightly dodge, and defeat the "toughest" enemies. MyBland and repetitive.     It’s definitely a game. The absolute best thing about Biomutant is the graphics, because it is beautiful. Past that it’s a pretty meh rpg. Melee is clunky and repetitive, ranged is baby mode, very few skills and abilities compared to other games in the genre, and a very boring super mode called Super Wung Fu.     Played it only because it was on PS+ and Im glad I didnt buy it like I wanted originally. The game has seen a ton of updates now but it is still very janky. Part of this is on me for not watching gameplay before playing it or I wouldnt have even bothered. The combat is terrible and they have kind of a "bullet time" gimmick where it will randomly slow down time during gun battle but its notPlayed it only because it was on PS+ and Im glad I didnt buy it like I wanted originally.     The game feels empty. Combat lacks oomph. Plenty of glaring issues that 99% of reviewers have already covered. Game has good "bones" and could have been something great. Just mediocre at this time.

    Edit: After completing the game and suffering through 67 hours of game play, I have to reduce the score.
    Could not 100% due to bugs. The game got so incredibly boring, I had to force myself to play.

    The game is aggressively repetitive, to the point of not return, and the plot is basically a ridiculous excuse for making the same quests over and over again. A beautiful open world to see, filled with the worst kind of quest ever imaginable. (in some    I've played this with huge curiosity.     Este juego hace absolutamente TODO mal, los tutoriales son demasiado largos, el narrador es insufrible, el combate no está pulido, el mundo esta muerto y la narrativa es aburrida y nada interesante. da igual que el juego sea indie, tener un estudio pequeño no te excusa de sacar un juego mediocre. Lo siento, pero no vale la pena.

    Easily the worst game i’ve ever played, boring, stupid, overpriced and worst of all broken, game kept crashing every 20-30 minutes. The story is terrible, the gibberish is awful and the narrator is annoying, overall do not recommend this game.

    I have never experienced such a complicated menu navigation. This detail alone made it so I threw this thing off the hard drive again. I can only issue an absolute warning. better buy something else there are many games that make everything better.

    Terrible pacing, awful story telling, gameplay is a slog… WHAT HAPPENED?!

    The game has some good fun, but you have to look past a terrible buggy experience.

    It’s not fun, and it’s incredibly hard to enjoy.

    Beautiful world but the game is apsolutely flat. Quests are very boring, especialy side quests. They literaly make you collect wood and go from one side of the map to the next. Combat is ok but nothing more. Soulless game.

    There are some cool concepts buried in here, but you really have to dig through the incessant narrator, soulless world, and bland gameplay to get there. Ultimately this game would have benefited from stripping some features and putting more focus into just a few.

    For on open-world action RPG developed by a handful of people, Biomutant makes a very striking impression. It’s hard for me to imagine someone not falling in love with the beautiful, unique world conjured up by Experiment 101. Sure, the game as a whole is not perfect, but if a sequel is ever created, I’ll be the first in line to play it. [07/2021, p.38]

    From creating your own character to a wide array of vehicles and a unique world, there’s a lot to love in Biomutant – which makes its shallowness all the more disappointing. The inconsistent battle system and the amount of bugs doesn’t make things any better. While the game certainly knows how to hook you, the fun doesn’t last very long.

    Biomutant tries to do a lot of interesting things. It offers a potentially captivating world and unique crafting mechanics. Even the combat's fine, on the surface. The game, however, doesn't exactly play well, with clumsy controls, repetitive missions and an overemphasis on drawn-out dialogue that bores instead of inspires. This really could (and should) have been a lot better than it is.
