    Was terrible at launch but it's impressive how much they were able to turn that around! While there's still things missing for it to reach it's potential it has now become an actually very entertaining game

    Ну, что сказать? Когда установил Battlefield 2042, то подумал, что это какая то технодемка. Просто после Battlefield 4, 1 и V видеть такое на Frostbite было, мягко сказать, очень странно. Я даже подумал, что это какая то фишка делающая картинку на PS4 схожей с PS2, даже искал кнопку переключения! Но нет, игра просто выглядет ужасно.
    Я даже не знаю, для кого это делалось.
    Ещё, когда после получаса пулялок, я сносил игру со своей PS4, то увидел, что весит игра всего 58 Гб!
    Хороший Battlefield сегодня не может весить 58 Гб!
    Что самое обидное, я полагаю DICE и Electronic Arts намереваются доить эту безрогую козу десятилетие, как Bethesda свой Fallout 76!
    Обидно за серию. Если кто хочет новый и настоящий Battlefield, эту хрень не качайте и вообще не поддерживайте. Иначе ждать нам Battlefield 6 не дождаться!
    Оценку ставлю "0". Оценивать надо труд разработчиков, здесь же я вижу полную халтуру.    … Expand

    Одному играть невозможно, очень скучно. Например, играл я на открытии за медика, все точки были у врага, я реснулся и к тому времени как я добежал до ближайшей для меня точки, ц1, мы уже потеряли сотню, так ещё и меня слил рандомный снайпер с 800 метров. Может в компании играть интереснее, не пробывал, так как ни один мой друг не хочет покупать эту парашу за фул прайс.

    The best thing about the game was that you could customize weapon attachments in-game. But now I am once again outraged by the garbage developed. Very weak of you dice! You can infuriate one so many times that someone else should take over battlefield and polish it up!

    Similar to the PS5 version but with 64 player Conquest instead of 128 player Conquest Large. Very boring honestly. DICE kept the same Massive maps for both the 64 player and 128 player servers.     I was never an avid Battlefield player. I started my experience with the franchise from Battlefield V, and I really enjoyed it. I believed that the BF 2042 would be superior to the BFV, which is not true. Even though it's not the best, the BF 2042 is fun and I'm a little addicted. However, he could be much better. Graphs are "OK", operators are "OK", and maps are "OK". The game is nothingI was never an avid Battlefield player.     Went from EA sub(canceled in December) to buy it cheap(now). Still crashing to desktop(moore then half the time, tbh alot moore). Still maxing 100 fps with best of what you can buy @ 1080p.(consistent) Still a stutter fest when it works. Shoots don't register if there is a lot of players(close by). Not a single improvement for performance    A year later....(just performance)

    me gustta bastante y tiene mucho potencial pero el problema que le veo es que se han olvidado del juego y lo estan dejando con muy poco contenido ea y tambien la falta de un modo campaña pues yo creo que si lo hacen gratis deberian hacer un modo campaña para los que hemos pagado

    Honest to God, I will NEVER EVER pre order ANY game from DICE and any other studio under EA. Including the Dead Space Remastered version. They are not make video games any more.     This is not battlefield. I'm taking my copy to trade in and get something else.
    Do not believe they will fix this game, the whole thing is a disaster. I'll be going back to battlefield 1 and 4.

    At last we finally have a game that feels like someone just downloaded a generic game template from the unreal editor and put it out without all the annoying distractions and design decisions.

However where all of u see trash, I see room for improvement. The game itself is not the bad. I like the concept and what the game is meant to be. And the gameplay isn’t bad at all.     This game is by far one of the greatest disappointments of all time. After the great trailers I was really looking forward to play this game. But after paying 70€ I can say, it wouldn't even be worth playing if it was free. If you want to play a great Battlefield game, go back to Battlefield 4 or Battlefield 1, even maybe Battlefield V.

    There are no classes. That's right, you know get Apex legends style specialists with abilities such as turrets, shields etc. For those of you saying so what, change is good. There are no weapons. I mean there's about 12 but you have to play the game for days to make any meaningful progression. So you are stuck with the base M5 for hours and hours with no alternative. Graphically on ps4, it looks like cyberpunk 2077, a blurry hazey mess, even with motion blur and all the camera tricks turned off. Online performance is good, meaning when you get into a server it is not laggy like bf4 was at launch. The nail in the coffin GAME MODES ARE GONE. There are 3 conquest-based game modes now. To play what everyone who's ever played a battlefield game remembers as battlefield you have to use a gimmicky weird app/ menu on the screen called "Portal". Where you can find player created games which somewhat bring back the formula that worked. Menu upon menus upon menus, disgusting UI, easily the worst UI of any app or video game I have ever played. Gone is the simple customization and now you are met with FORTNITE/ apex style of aesthetic character modification. Want to change the attachment on your guns ? oh you have to do that during the match at the very start or else you will get fragged, your loadouts also RESET every game you play.

    Congratulations dice, your greed ruined your brain child. You had a good thing going, even after BF V I had faith you could return your roots (BFBC1-2, BF3-4) but you had to rush this garbage to market. This is nowhere near the level of polish that a 80 dollar AAA title should have. It seems like there were too many cooks in the kitchen with this one and whoever was in charge of UI needs to be jailed. Bring back classes, bring back classic game modes without the "portal" and allow players to make their own game modes without using a PC. This whole game is a mess, please don't buy this. The game doesn’t included basic features like a scoreboard, very basic things that are essential to any first person shooter game. EA and Dice have priortised micro transactions through their new specialist characters getting rid of class system an essential part of any battlefield game. This has a knock on effect on games as players aren’t incentivised to play a supportive role for their team, another integral part of all battlefield games. Just to rub salt into the wound the game is filled with bugs and needs some serious changes. Considering the game dropped it’s single player mode you would of thought the multiplayer would have enough prioritisation to make sure basic features were included. But don’t worry there’s a non-binary character now in the game so we can forgot about the fact that they charge you £60 for game that isn’t finished in production and doesn’t include essential features (talk about ethics). It’s time to leave this franchise behind after the game developers have forgot to give the bare minimum to their loyal customers instead of their pursuit of prioritising profit maximisation and ruining the battlefield series in the process.     - Removing classes, seriously this is the main feature of BF games. It promotes to a point teamwork. Its gone and now most people run the same self serving kits. BF4 had it almost perfect, it just needed polished.
    - Small amount of guns, with it being a futuristic game you would think the imagination would run wild and there would be a ton of guns as per BF3 and 4 but nah its just disappointing.
    - 2 steps forward and 20 back. BF 5 introduced fortifications which were fun but you removed anything similar in this game. The points system in BF1 and BF5 gave you points per damage this games seems to have went back to BF3 style and its clunky. I thought with a future settings you would be able to build sam turrets, laser turrets, modern versions of barb wire (Laser Wire?) and sad bags. It was a tiny element of BF5 but it could've been developed to be interesting.
    - Lack of traditional game modes.
    - Portal is a nice idea but and it plays better than the real game but it just feels like a side game
    - Gun play and infantry play is shocking. Bad hit reg, maps are super open you basically run until you die. Most of the times ive just seen vehicles driving about the map running over people and demolishing the buildings they are hiding in just by driving into them.
    - Specialist equipment would've been better as gadgets for specific classes.
    - The big map features in previous games were way better i.e. the levelolution in BF4, The Behemoths in BF1. How can you go back the way?
    - The graphics are glitchy and the game has a ton of bugs.
    -Sound design is horrible, you can hear footsteps from a mile away but vehicles make zero sound when they are next to you.
    - Squads need to be bigger and the squad system in bf 5 was waaaaay better. The fact you need a vehicle call in system just means you made the map primarily for vehicles. Which is fine for battlefield but this games feels like its neglected all other play styles
    - Operators, seriously why dont you just let us pick a skin and let us customise it?
    - This game is clearly designed for next gen, please dont ever release it on last gen if its not going to play well.
    - I actually think BF4, BF1 and Bf5 all looked and played better.
    - Why is the grenade button no a shoulder button by default it sucks!
    - Menus are not clear, buggy and confusion.
    - Very little attachment options and they dont offer much.
    - Vehicles are samey.
    - Game feels like it needs another year.
    -Playing the old maps in portal mode was so nostalgic but the game play makes it unplayable. I used to love Noshar on Conquest or rush but i was left with a bad taste in my mouth. I used to love Caspian on TDM but again the gun play is so poor its just a game of hide and seek until you die.
    - The 'Battle Royal' but not a 'Battle Royal' mode is terrible, just scrap it or just make it a new game mode for the real game i.e. without the battle royal progression. Gun play lets it down.

    They even removed the scoreboard, in a competitive shooter, you cant even see if youre doing any good. Just awful!

    That's just off the top of my head and I'm so angry.

    Seriously, all you needed to do was take the best elements from BF3/4/1 and 5 combine them and update it for a future setting.

    Dont buy this, they are going to have to pull out a stunning first patch to save this game.    … Expand

    I'm not the biggest FPS fan, but this game really disappointed me. The graphics and animations are awful. The maps are big and lifeless. Big bland surfaces. The player animations are just horrible. Guns feel crap. I can't believe this is a triple AAA title.

    so far, my experience with the game has been pleasant, there are some texture bugs, the game is lacking a lot, and the maps are extremely open and there aren't many covers, but overall I've been very happy with it.

    I played it a few Hours. Highly doubt that they will ever make a good Game out of this .. really underwhelming.have to change from 3 to 0 first day patch was not really impressive. The patches 2-3 where just fixeing small issues. It’s not Fun to play. Maybe looks good on pc but ps4 it’s crap. Refund was rejected. Game doesn’t feel like an bf at all

Error every time loading the game. Once you load the game finally, you get to watch as each specialist you play as, barely loads in. No hit registration. Barely can revive someone. There's like 6 guns, 2 are good. Everyone ends up using the exact same weapons. Vehicles are op. There's no point to the "specialists" battlefield needs classes. 7 maps. All **** suck. Poorly designed. Large but empty map design. No cover. Barely any destruction. No details 0 effort into making a good map. These **** towers with 1 way to the top?!?!? 10 years ago you could take down the entire building. Now you can't even shoot anyone. I understand that a lot the the problems they can fix with updates. That's not the point. The point is it should have never released in this state. It's so bad they clearly were aware how bad this game is, and refused to fix it. The **** THE HOVERCRAFT. The call in system has ruined battlefield. What ever team has the most vehicles, wins. **** stupid.
    Each vehicle takes like 8 rockets to destroy and it doesn't matter, because of this instant call in system.

    22 weapons?!?!?! I remember battlefield 1, when there was like 20 guns in each class. Remember. Classes. Progression is a joke. Most of the attachments are the exact same stats so there's no point to most of them. The user interface is sad. You can't ping the map? No scoreboard? No zoom on the map. Trying to spawn after dying to a specific zone, and just simply trying to click on b2 is so difficult. Barely no destruction in this game. Yet 10 years ago you could take down skyscrapers. Я так ждал что будет что то типо бф4 , но с новой графикой , которая будет лучше чем игра 8 летней давности. К сожалению чуда не произошло. Купил за 5000 рублей этот сырой кусок говна.     It's unbelievable. This is the best game in the series. This is a tornado, it just fascinates and calls to play more and more. These fields, they are beautiful. This game gives new emotions, it is revolutionary in its own way. Now there is a replacement for "Call of Duty"

    Battlefield is at an all time low with 2042. Such a shame after the amazing Battlefield 1. 2042 does almost everything wrong. This is what you get when you don’t listen to your fans.     There is no scoreboard, no ability to join your friends if they are in a full party (yes you heard right, you cant join, not even if there is a space in the game, if your friends Squad is full) which results in you being abled to only play with 3 friends, expect you want to play Portal only with them.
    Portal is the next failure Battlefield 2042 has to offer. No weapon progression at all, sometimes really strange and inconsistent XP-rewards, missing features and many bugs (just like in All-Out-Warfare and Hazard Zone) on own Servers to. + i would like to add the note that you CANT create a paid server that stays inifite. Servers are temporarily and only stay as long as there is atleast one player on it. If you suppose to think thats all then let me tell you that there are even bigger issues in this game.
    Hit registartion isn't working as it should; Loadouts (on Vehicles or your own created loadouts) get resetted; They have a problem with ,,bloom" which leads to shots spraying randomly in some directions and not in the direction where your crosshair is placed; Maps feel underdeveloped, empty and unfun to play; ever wanted to run miles on a Map, since there are not many vehicles? Then you should try Hourglass. Running 2 Minutes from point B to A is fun, espically if you die through random helicopters in the mean time. You could say why don't you play infanterist mode then, well... because there is non and thats not the only feature that is missing, everybody thought would be in the game since EA and DICE promised us to give us a Battlefield "like we all know"

    That Hazard-Zone does not come in to short let me discribe this try on a "mini battle royale" liike game mode. "Hazard-Zone" feels like a confusing, short, slaughtery game mode which could have been a competitor to games like "Escape from Tarkov" or "Vigor" (atleast thats what players expected) yet it is a huge let-down and does not make fun at all. Maybe players expected to much...

    To be fair Battlefield 2042 isn't just all bad. Particularly with friends you can have a good, much laughing (even if it is to blame on the bugs most of the times.
    There are parts of the game that make fun and the devs try to solve the problems and give players the promised content. The Day-1 patch series is a great start. Update #1 and #2 already tweaked some balancing issues and gamebreaking bugs. Assault Rifles feel more consistent and are already fun to play now.
    For update #3 I risk to predict it to make the game much better. They have a lot of change in line, huge bug fixes, huge balance changes and according to leaks even new content such as weapons or "maps"
    (I am not sure on the truth of this)

    From here on BF2042 can only get better and it still has the chance to be a nearly perfect game. They need long-term service, good Seaons, starting from January, nice contents and they need to listen to their community. They are taking a good step on that with talking to the community on Twitter a lot which is indeed very delightful.
    Wait until the first major content update in one week and afterwards decide to rather buy the game or not.
    Yet it can make fun but the proportion of funny and frustratiing moments is around 40 / 60 which is sad for a Battlefield game.

    I have a feeling on this one, I think it can be somthing marvelous, something like Battlefield 4, Battlefield 4 which had a devasting release too and today is considered as one of the greatest games of the franchise!

    The potential is there. Developers need to take it and they will, I think they will show us with the December update that they are willing to give us a great game.

    The total lack of any recognition of the issues and bury your head in the sand approach to how the community feels about the game, will ultimately be why this game will be forgotten about very soon.

    Why a design team with such a solid foundation for the perfect blend of not being too much milsim and not too much arcade would make some of these design decisions is beyond me. I can only think that the team working on this game is definitely not the same team as what we've seen in the past. I often wonder whether any of Dice actually play tested this game in the first place.

    The introduction of "characters" that can carry any weapon into the game with specific abilities, instantly kills off the experience. One, that's not battlefield. Two, it's just killed all your squad play. Three, there's only a handful of them on each team (The same on BOTH teams). Four, it's just killed off vehicles being fun as every character can carry AA or AT... These core choices they've made kill the game before it even gets off the ground.

    Combine this with large maps, you just end up with a mess of players running around like headless chickens. From my experience 90% of players are just playing solo off on their own little jolly testing out wing suits and seeing how long they last as a one man army.

    I don't normally rant on reviews, but I've played pretty much every iteration of this franchise. From 1942, Desert Combat etc to the days of 2142, BF2 and all the way up. But what they've handed out this time is pretty much unforgiveable. I feel like they've just said **** you" to everyone that's made this game what it is, in favor of trying to rope in kiddies who want to play as "characters" with "powers" like the rest of the god awful cheap immature franchises we see today.    … Expand

K/D ratio? Statistics? Scoreboard? Squad choose? Chat? Why it's all gone? To not bother bad players, so insteading of learning how to play the game they will buy some new 'specialists'? Classes are gone , and now we have some sort of 'specialists'. They're absolute worthless characters, not veteran soldiers that had lost their homeland and now fighting for different countries just for money in a falling apart world, but some kind of 'funny hooligan teens'. They're lines are all cringe. On PS4 game looks disgusting - graphics are 3 times worse that BF5 , and even more poor than BF4, which was released 8 years ago. Glitches are not funny anymore - yesterday i can't pilot a tank, because FPS view glitched and i've seen nothing but muzzle of a tank and white textures below the ground. So.... Overall it's not worth it's money. Wait 3-6 months, wait for discount and then you'll get a mediocre FPS apex-fortnite-whatever clone. But it doesn't like a BF anymore.… Expand

    Really terrible in almost every way. Massive step backwards in what made bf enjoyable. Graphics are worse then Bf5, playability is broken, no hit registration, terrible gun choices. I’d rather stop playing games then play this one. I’ll never preorder another game after this.

    first time i've purchased a game on release and the last time i'll be doing that, or buying a dice game, period. Terrible game. Not one redeeming quality. I MADE a metacritic account just to rate this things as crap somewhere. Don't download a demo, don't buy, Don't play at a friends house, don't even look at this garbage fire cash grab.

    Battlefield 2042 adds little in the new department and takes away a lot from the old. Without leaning onto the presupposed Portal community, having in mind the lack of an actual campaign and overall lack of technical stability, you have very little reason to be interested in Battlefield 2042

    If you’re looking to enjoy the next Battlefield title, turn back now. With the next patch not slated to arrive for another month, and the next content update to release some time after that, it’s going to be a while before 2042 can earn the right to be called a true Battlefield game. It’s best to wait until the smoke clears and DICE fixes any major bugs (maybe even wait for it to go on discount) before spending $70 on this game.
