Assassin's Creed brings us the first big DLC. Jack the Ripper is in town and chaos arises. An interesting story to say the least.

Jack the Ripper is a substantial and enjoyable additional chapter to the main game, only marred by the developer’s insistence on trying to make real history fit into a fiction.

With Jack the Ripper’s DLC, we have new fear-related abilities and a suggestive story to please Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s fans.
  4. Jack the Ripper offers interesting storyline and gameplay mechanics (Fear), but this time the AI is a total disaster.

A decent DLC, with a passable storyline and good content. It doesn’t really add that much to the formula, but it’s still a good buy if you liked the base game. Separating it from the main story also gave the developers some freedom when it comes to story twist, and this is a good thing.

Jack the Ripper is a good DLC for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, as it offers an interesting story and a "nice" atmosphere within its main Jack the Ripper missions. It's a shame that nearly all the side missions can't convince as much.

Hunting Jack The Ripper with a new ambient, new locations and new gameplay elements was an enjoyable experience on this expansion, but the game still has repetitive missions and some technical problems that didn't let the game become memorable.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Jack the Ripper is a good DLC with interesting art direction and some gameplay changes. The story is compelling, but the fear mechanics isn't well mixed in the game. There are few I.A. problems and Jack's potential isn't fully accomplished, but it's still an interesting way to develop the world of Assassin's Creed.

After the dreadful Dead Kings, Ubisoft has proven that it can make decent DLC with Assassin's Creed Syndicate's Jack the Ripper add-on pack.

It's indeed pricey, but if you enjoyed Syndicate, this will offer you some good gameplay sessions, crafted with a good deal of charm.

Its innovation in certain missions, the use of fear and the jump in the Fryes storyline enrich the Syndicate universe, but it fells underdeveloped gameplay-wise. The sidequests are a a little boring.

It did not happen... although the story is interesting and does bring a few more elements to the ever growing canon of the series. when it comes to the mechanics, the game falls flat.

All that made ACS so much fun appears to have been removed, or tweaked (in a bad way). The missions are uninspired, repetitive and punitive. I lost count of how many times I had to restart a mission due to the fact that the objective was missed, no because of my lack of skill, but because of the way the elements were built around the missions. Additionally, this DLC feels rushed, unpolished. And it is buggy as well; the carriage is a nightmare, constantly stuttering or freezing completely for a few seconds. And this is extremely distracting.

It has some nice moments but, overall, I would not recommend this DLC. If you played ACS to completion and had your fun with that game, you are not missing anything.

Assassins Creed Syndicate Jack The Ripper
Some cool new features and some not so cool features.
Jack the ripper is a DLC with 10 main missions and a bunch of side activities.
Much like the main game, in Jack the ripper you play as 2 characters,
This time as a much older Evie fry and jack the ripper himself
The introduction to this dlc is great and sets up a great tone for a letdown of an experience.
You start out the DLC as jack the ripper just destroying everything in your path
This honestly should have been the the dlc.. playing the whole way through as jack the ripper
Put a primary focus on a fun and epic brute campaign… but this sadly isn’t what we got.
This dlc introduces a fear system, both Evie and jack have spikes and fear bombs that can scare enemies to make them nervous to not bother you or to occasionally kill each other…
Jack the ripper has a scream... this fear system comes in handy many times thanks to the boring don’t kill anyone or get detected optional objectives.
At first they are cool, but this gimmick gets old quick.
You play back and forth between jack and Evie,
No one knows who this jack the ripper guy is, but everyone is pointing at Jacob and Evie, so she sets out to solve this mystery and clear her names…
This dlc is more of the same you get in the main campaign, just not as fleshed out.
You get a couple assassination missions and everything else is look at clues, or do this without being detected.
You’ll go to a couple new locations not in the main game, but by locations I mean buildings, not towns or cities.
This game only takes place in 2 sections of the original gam, which brings me to the not so cool added feature... lag
IF you’re on foot the whole time you have nothing to worry about, but do any of the side missions involving a cart and you’ll notice an insane lag that makes ps2 era games look like they run like ps4 games, and texture pop in problems.
Not quite sure how a smaller standalone has issues keeping up compared to the much larger main game.
Also added are new quests such as lieutenant hunts that are essentially Templar hunts with more targets, fight clubs and cargo based missions again, jack the ripper letters where you have to drive a carriage stealfully.,. And the game still can’t keep up... as well as brothel aka liberation missions with half naked women instead of children, and walk of shame missions where you have to shame a man that gets his jollies out of being abusive to prostitutes
That’s basically it, you get a story with no pay off, and slow paced boring side activities.
There’s just nothing worth seeing in this Jack the Ripper DLC…
    For what it is
    Action Adventure Stealth Games
    7/10
    overall:
    6.5/10

I enjoyed AC Syndicate, but this DLC was terrible. You know all those cool weapons, outfits, and skills you earned in the main story? Well,I enjoyed AC Syndicate, but this DLC was terrible. You know all those cool weapons, outfits, and skills you earned in the main story? Well, apparently Evie lost and forgot pretty much all of them in the 20 years since the main story, because who needs a near magical outfit that makes you invisible... You know all that money you saved up in the first game? Did you like using kukri or cane swords? Too bad, now she only uses brass knuckles. Remember the hidden blade that has been a staple of every AC game since the first? Seems you don't even have those anymore either. Remember how frustrating it was early in the main game when you had to walk slowly with kidnapped targets and constantly hit a button to keep them from escaping? Well, now you get to do that constantly and there is no skill to dispense with the annoying escape attempts.

The entire fear mechanic this DLC is built around is stupid. That is to say, it is slightly interesting the first few times, but then it just gets annoying listening to the guys scream and watching the enemies run away. The story may be good, it was definitely interesting for the time I played, but it the gameplay became so annoying and boring that I just quit, the first time that has happened to me in any AC game. The absolute worst experience I've ever had in an AC game, and I played all the way through Unity. It pains me to do so, but giving this DLC a 3/10 is being generous.
