    Improving on the already masterfully made Origins by adding even more RPG elements like armour pieces and ability mapping as well as the much loved open seas sailing. If you loved Origins than this is a no-brainer must buy. If you liked Origins, but felt the RPG elements maybe weren't fleshed out enough than this is again a must buy. If you don't plan on playing this or you just haven'tImproving on the already masterfully made Origins by adding even more RPG elements like armour pieces and ability mapping as well as the much loved open seas sailing.     Just when I thought you couldn't get any dumber, you go and do something like this...AND totally redeem yourself!!! It does not feel like the past Assassins Creed games. Instead it feels like a new RPG made by Ubisoft. It is a complete open/interactive world where you can do whatever you want. If you are person with a slight creative mind, you will have a great time. This world is your Oyster.

    Game is fun and the best AC so far. Graphics aren't the best, but the game is still beautiful. Hopefully Valhalla follows this formula, but with improved graphics.

    I watched gameplay on youtube and dismissed this game....thought it looked too much like Origins, which I found a bit boring. But now I've given it a chance I absolutely love this one. Arguably the best AC since the classic AC 2. Without a doubt the best since Black Flag. Similar look and mechanics as Origins, but the protagonist, the story, the side missions and in particular theI watched gameplay on youtube and dismissed this game....thought it looked too much like Origins, which I found a bit boring. But now I've given it a chance I absolutely love this one. Arguably the best AC since the classic AC 2. Without a doubt the best since Black Flag. Similar look and mechanics as Origins, but the protagonist, the story, the side missions and in particular the historical setting are all far better. This game brings the best elements of Origins together with the best elements of Black Flag and plonks you into arguably the best historical setting of the entire series - a mercenary dropped right in the middle of the war between Sparta and Athens. Enormous, breathtakingly beautiful open world of Ancient Greece - untold hours of land, ocean and islands to explore, with compelling challenges sprinkled in with the missions. Everything that was a bit boring about Origins has been shaved off. No more boring dialogue. This is the first AC that's got me truly addicted since Black Flag. Addictvely awesome.… Expand

    The game is absolutely massive and there is a lot of content here to keep you busy for HOURS> Yes, most of it is fighting and killing. But dude...which RPG is not ???
    Speaking of which....I do not mind the depature from the classic Assassins creed formula. I find the RPG aspect to be very refreshing.

    Although the new combat system "Works" I still kinda do really miss the old mechanic with the counter fighting as seen in AC3 and AC Syndicate/Blackflag (Which are my favorite in the series)
    Those fights always look super flashy and movie like. The new fighting system is more traditional RPG and feels somewhat clunky and repetative at times.

    I really went into this expecting it to be faaarrr worse than it actually is.
    The gameplay is solid and entertaining. Exploring and following the locations in areas is very fun and satisfying.

    Also, 1 aspect of this game I totally did not expect is that THIS game is 100% a looter game. You find new gear pieces everywhere, and chasing that legendary item to perfect your build is very sastisfying.

    Some bad things too. Your gear is very reliable on your current level and upgrading that gear is just waayy to expensive. To give you and example. Most missions and objectives reward you with approximiatly 500-700 gold. To upgrade a legendary weapon to your current level can cost as much as 15.000 gold. (so yeah, thats insane)
    Mind you that most missions dont really take a long time. But still, its a build in grind-mechanic that I just wish wasnt there.

    -Plenty of content here to keep you busy for HOURS
    -LOOT !!!
    -Freedom to play as you want
    -Story (Personally for me was entertaning)

    CONS:
    -Combat
    -Crafting
    -Economy (most important things are just TOO expensive)

    When it came I thought it is just a copy of origins but when i started playing I realized that it is totally a different game. I love the world created inside the game the beautiful landscaps and historial building and the concept of cults everything seemed perfect to me. I love this game and now it is the second best game in my AC list, first was Black Flag and 2nd Odyssey and 3rd AC2.When it came I thought it is just a copy of origins but when i started playing I realized that it is totally a different game.     This game is superb. The combination of gameplay, open world diversity, story line (even if it is not the most complex one) and atmosphere makes it the best open world game I have ever encountered.

    This game is awesome I spent hours and hours and still I'm way back of finishing the game, I love the combat system, the world is super huge, literally huge, it is more difficult than all the previous series and I love the story line too. I have to say that this is better than Ac2 and Brotherhood.

    I am a Big fan of this series for many years and I am pretty sure that Assassin's Creed : Odyssey is the best game of the series so far. The World is huge and beautiful, the gameplay is very good, and some choices we can take is really interesting..............Also From the Beginning to the end it's not a single minute boring and that it's something important especially for it's size.     No one sings it’s praises but I will. It took me 3 years to get over the fact that it’s not an “AC” game. That it’s more Witcher 3 than AC. I love the TW3 and I’m glad other games are at least trying to copy its formula and Odyssey comes the closest. The PS5 60fps means it runs smooth as butter and this vastly improves the visual experience and especially the combat, and I had major issuesNo one sings it’s praises but I will. TW3’s magic was in the quality of its side quests. How I went through some amazing stories because I sought them out. Odyssey is the same in this regard. While the main story is in fact good, some of the best quest chains and boss fights are in the optional content. I followed my curiosity and sought these stories out. By the end I was the top ranked mercenary, champion of the arena and I had wiped out the entire cult, and I finally completed the “sci-fi” quest chain too. All these things I did because I wanted to. I’m just 70 hours I feel I lived through a life in Ancient Greece. I was completely lost there during the holidays. I’m so glad I played this game and so many people judge it for not being something it’s clearly not intending to do. Sometimes it’s good to let the past die because old AC had run its course. Not all AC have to be like Odyssey but I’m so glad Odyssey itself exists… Expand

    In my mind they finally Assassin's Creed right with the move to being a full open world action RPG. One of the best looking games I've ever played, a great main character (Kassandra) and a lot of flexibility with the traditional strength of the series putting this in an interesting historical context. Props to Ubisoft for toning down the modern day parts significantly.

    This is may not play anything like the old games but is that such a bad thing? What you're getting here is a huge beautiful game world to explore on both land and sea set in the best setting: Ancient Greece. And you get to play exactly the way you want.     Anyone giving this game a anything less than an 8 is either a troll or hasnt played it. This games amazing,its everything Origins was and more. Ive put over 25 hours into it and Im only 15% done. The exploration is amazing,the amount of loot items is bonkers,the amount of content is insane and the graphics are beautiful. The only issue I have is the Bounty system,its nothing more than anAnyone giving this game a anything less than an 8 is either a troll or hasnt played it. This one has just enormous number of content, there are tons of quests, dialogs are written much better, overall the world in the game is much better done and better balanced. This is total **** You need zero money - you just need to fullfil side quests and that's all. Actually same system was in the Witcher - you needed to level up in order to progress in the game.     Amazing game, really good gameplay and RPG system depth, increadible ambiance and music, best sea simulation I have seen, incredible graphics and attention to details, intriguing story with meaningful choices, absolutely amazing and blows Origins out of the water in every single aspect.

    +Beautiful,detailed and living huge world
    +Beautiful graphics (with 4k hdr)
    +Very good quests(there are many,mini story side quests those keep the interest.You dont need to take or complete the grindy repitative quests,just do them if they are nearby)
    +Exploration desire to its beautiful world
    +Very good game mechanics
    +Good Role playing game elements
    +Good performance
    +Gear Transmog

    Med:
    =Building the skills can be more compelling,
    =Gear upgrade can be more detailed by requiring more specific ingredients

    Cons:
    -You dont lose hp when Falling from high,
    -After a battle the hp restores itself,i wish there was a food eating/potion/resting action for hp regen.

    I don't know why there has been so many negative reviews for this game. It might not be your typical AC game but it is close to the lore of AC than any other game. I would even go on to say this is more of a first civilization game. From get go you get to wield an Isu Artifact. The Atlantis story line keeps in touch with the lore too.     Also if you play through the Atlantis story line you would realize how connected this is with the precursor story line. Also taking down Ghost of Kosmos connects the whole franchise.
    A must play game!!
    Its well worth your time.

    As others have said - if you like AC Origins, you will love Odyssey. I'm happy with the switch to RPG format. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. This game is well-made (mostly), grand in scale and thoroughly entertaining for hours on end.

    AC Odyssey has only one glaring drawback in my opinion. In contrast to Origins, the melee combat in Odyssey is subpar. And since melee combat    As others have said - if you like AC Origins, you will love Odyssey. I'm happy with the switch to RPG format. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. This game is well-made (mostly), grand in scale and thoroughly entertaining for hours on end.

    AC Odyssey has only one glaring drawback in my opinion. In contrast to Origins, the melee combat in Odyssey is subpar. And since melee combat may be the overriding component of one's play style, I considered scoring this one 9 out of 10. However, I feel this game deserves a 10 because everything aside from melee combat is class. Plus, if you're accurately spec'd for ranged combat and good with the bow, you can easily one or two-shot literally every non-boss enemy type in HARD mode - including mercenaries - using basic arrows. Therefore, making melee combat redundant. Moreover, the mechanics of ranged combat in Odyssey are vastly improved over Origins.

    At no point during my tens of hours of play was I interrupted by, forced to or felt the need to invest in a micro-transaction of any sort. All micro-transactions in AC Odyssey are neatly tucked away in a side menu - out of sight.

    It may or may not be true that one can't simply play through the main questline while ignoring side activities, due to alleged hurdles in levelling. I wouldn't know because I did a heck of a lot of side activities throughout. There are many different kinds of level-boosting side activities in AC Odyssey. Yes, the daily/weekly side quests posted on billboards are mostly monotonous. But, there are other side quests scattered throughout the world that play out similarly to those in Witcher 3. There is a lot to do in this game - moreso than in Origins. Nonetheless, I understand that some players may not have time for side activities.    … Expand

    Huge, Impressive and beautiful world! Dangerous journey with complex battles and silent assasination. Many activities there: simple for mercenary quests, global targets, assasination by bounty, investigation, explore, stealing goods, sabotage and many others! You will find what you like to do. And yes. In game have good quest with interesting stories!

    Progression is not slow but it is a long game so I don't understand why people want to earn xp quickly.     This is the best Assassin Creed game to date. But on top of that, this game is on the fore front of open world games to come. Picking up some great features from other games and genres. Things like dialog options, consequences, the Mercenary system, enhanced combat system. Excited about the direction of the franchise. One that I have play nearly every game since AC 1.

    Whoever has given a negative review has not played a single hour from this excellent game. The ancient Greek open world is vibrant and majestic. The story is engaging and there is plenty of non boring side questing to do.
    If you're male take my advice and play Kassandra. Thank me later!

    i havent even played this yet. im giving a 10 to combat all the losers giving it a zero for no good reason. internet community is truly giving the lowest common denominators of society a voice they shouldnt have. its annoying..personally i rated origins an 8. this seems like it has more naval combat which i will enjoy. likely a 9 for me even if it is a reskin of sorts.

    These retarded people talk about GRIND, but they even dont know what is grind...grind is doing SAME thing over and over...but in AC:O is no grind, yes you must go to higher lvl to advance in story but you can lvl up and gather material thru 100 and 100 of different activities!!! so there is NO GRIND in this game, only tuns and tuns of content.
    PS: if you dont want sidequests, play on EASY !

    I haven't liked Assassin's Creed for many years now, but I heard this one played like an RPG ... damn were they right. I am loving the exploration, combat, stealth tactics, and freedom offered in odyssey.

    I'm loving the game so far...have spent almost 30 hours in-game. I'm playing on Hard difficulty, and have spent much of my time above recommended level, and that's without doing many of the optional timed quests, and without spending any money on micro-transactions. The timed mini-quests & bounties can be repetitive and are very simple (sometimes I've had quite literally the exact same mini-quest dialogue from different NPCs) but there are plenty of actual side quests which are generally interesting, and so far I've found no issues with levelling...and absolutely no grind has been required in my own experience. For reference, I'm relatively new to the series...played the original AC when it came out, but wasn't keen on the mechanics and gave up a few hours in...Origins was my first real AC game that I experienced in full.… Expand

After Origins, which was great, it takes the same formula but adds a lot of new content and activities (new investigating system, Cultist kills, conquest battles, a lot of mythology, dialogue options). The Greek setting is incredible:Ubisoft continues in its quest to trasform the typical Assassin's Creed in a blend with wath make The Witcher 3 the greatest Western RPG of all time. After Origins, which was great, it takes the same formula but adds a lot of new content and activities (new investigating system, Cultist kills, conquest battles, a lot of mythology, dialogue options). The Greek setting is incredible: recreating a compact version of the whole Greece with most of its islands with such accuracy and detail is a 10/10 job by itself. I think there is still place for a third game in this style (maybe by continuing the Classic trilogy by exploring ancient Rome and recreating all the Italian peninsula?), but after that they will seriously have to start looking for a new system and, most importantly, new settings.… Expand

I think the game is excellent, the graphics are phenomal and gameplay is solid. It kind of reminds me of horizon: zero dawn, as I played an archer like character.     Assassin's creed odyssey made me question at first.     I love the combat, the parry, the skills and passives added.
    I love the naval battles brought back
    I love the athens sparta war, and how you can influence who controls a region, it is so fun.
    and of the best features is the enhanced mercenary system from origins. I love h ow they hunt you down if you become notorious. I love how they try to mess with you even when you are doing other quests or other afairs, it adds so much more depths and longevity to the game!!

The gear system is awesome and wearing better armor while choosing it to like a another armor gives players to adjust how their character would look. For example lets say that you have a really good looking armor and you like wearing it. Then you find a stupid looking armor with great stats so you need to switch to that but hey it looks bad. No problem just set your cosmetic settings for once and wear whatever you want your character will look cool with any gear cause only stats will change. If you are bored use another style without losing any stats. So this approch to the game is lovely (something you lack at Origins) which lets you connect with your character better.

    Sea Battles are fun and land combat is really enjoying. I saw some people complain about animations but oh boy the kill movements in this game is far beyond anything in series and best part is its not static because there are many skills and diffrent attack types combined with diffrent kills are all controlled by you. So if you want to go beserk just do it and you can feel like you are in a Leonidas in 300 or Achilles in Troy and pull out incredable movements during fights.

    Story is also decent and really fun to follow. Its also very long so you wont end up finising the game in a couple of days. Graphics are incredable and the world design reflects ancient Greece well enough to make you feel you are actually there.

    Lastly the Dlc's sold seperatly (or with season pass) are both well made and especially the Last Dlc about Atlantis is awesome which takes you to the places you cant even imagine.

    As a person who is very careful on spending money on games (currecny rates) Its one the very few games which made me to buy the season pass because its worth it.    … Expand

    This is one of the best RPG's I have ever played. I am 130 hrs in and level 85 and I can't stop playing this and the 2 DLC's....BOOM...WOW....incredible! This game is beyond expectation on all levels. It's that simple and can not wait for Valhalla....If it top's this experience it should win awards. I bow to you Ubisoft.

I am 20 hours in at the moment and while it is true that the original feeling of AC is no longer there it does bring something new and it is an Open world RPG. If you cannot accept that then you should have known based on Origins that this game was not going to be for you.

    Amazing game that takes what we saw in Origins only further. Now a full blown RPG with dialogue options and romance. It might be less assassins focused, but the main story and cultist storyline intertwined with that of family not only makes for a good story with fantastic twists but also gives the player a damn good time.

Yes, it has micro transactions but given that they have zero impact on anything in the game I just ignore them and get on with enjoying the game itself. Have some discipline people, if you don’t buy micro transactions they’ll stop using them. Its single player it’s notOdyssey is excellent in my opinion. As for levelling up, drachmas etc by the time you hit level 15 or so it’s not a problem and most players should have an abundance by then and xp becomes a lot more generous about that point too (ive so far spent no real money except on the game). Ac Odyssey is pretty, vast and enjoyable. If your looking for a half decent RPG with plenty of fun distractions like trireme sailing and mass lion slaughter then you could do worse than having this in your Christmas list.… Expand

It's like loot crates but here you get stuff from the actual store with a high percentage of success.     It was known and reported from the first time that the game would feel and play like origins, it’s on the same engine afterall but trust me it is a far more good-looking game.
    The missions and all side activities are just like you remember from origins which is fine by me because i loved how you had camps, fortresses, treasure hunting etc, we still have a ton of stuff to do in Odyssey.
    I have the impression that the graphics have been slightly downgraded compared to the reveal gameplay, but they are still amazing a pure eye candy and the performance on the PS4 PRO is perfect.
    You do hear the fan from time to time along with noise coming from the ps4 but that’s absolutely normal and understandable for a game of that scale and demanding.
    The game is much harder than origins which is something i already knew but i thought it would probably be an exaggeration but no, the game is harder even on normal and that makes all fights intense, interesting and demanding believe me you will feel like a true spartan hero.
    The problems are minor and not worth reporting i am sure all of them will be addressed shortly in future updates.

    Best Assassin's Creed since Black Flag. This is an open world RPG chock full of content. Great visuals and audio, combat is exciting and varied, the story is compelling. Micro-transactions are a non factor and would only been needed if you were speed running the game.

    Pros:
    -Perfects everything from Origins and gets rid of the stupid shield.
    -The Mercenary system is simple but really cool as they hunt you when you do stuff to piss of a faction or the people.
    -There is another tree of bad guys that you must hunt across Greece.
    -Perfect mix of ships and land combat.
    -Excellent voice acting from Kassandra (haven't played Alexios)
    -Does Greek history well (although not always historically accurate)
    -The story is fantastic.

    Cons:
    -Microtransactions, microtransactions, microtransactions
    -If you aren't playing as a completionist from the beginning you will feel the grind of leveling. Luckily there is a TON of side stuff to help you out (didn't bother me very much)
    -Level-gating areas reduces the feeling of an open world (although it forces you to explore the first areas more)    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Played around 200 hours, this game is *** awesome !! People complaining about microtransactions saying that they're necessary are just really bad, they are by no mean necessary, I cleared the missions and got the best gear and had to put the game on the highest difficulty for it to be challenging.
    I heard some comments about how it's hard to be stealthy ... are you fu*** kidding me!!? I cleared all forts in the game in stealth, you have to learn the game mechanics and how to approach your stealth game for it to be effective and not having to fight. Maybe because i played almost all AC games before i was really good at it, but what i'm saying is the game offers a perfect approach for stealth style.
    And all the mythic stuff it has the the DLC, it's amazing, fighting the Minotaur was fun, the cyclops, Medusa, all of these were amazing. I don't understand the hate or the low score. THE ONLY thing i can think off is the mythical part of this entry on the franchise, and people only wanted normal AC stuff, and to that i say fu** you, the best part about the game was the historical places it took us to, and this entry did that PERFECTLY. So hats off to Ubisoft, i'll definitely play Valhalla and then go back and play Origins cuz i have not.    … Expand

    Its an amazing game, best AC yet. Not sure why it’s not higher rated on here. Its a epic achievement for Ubisoft and I usually hate on AC games. Ive only liked AC2, Black Flag, and origins.

    Assassin's creed Odyssey is one of the most underrated games I know....I mean...Come on...If we are honest with ourselves, we must acknowledge this is a great game who borrowed a lot from The Witcher 3. Assassin's Creed Odyssey performs in a lot of major aspects:
    a) The story is engaging and well presented
    b) The graphics are spectacular (especially the light effects, the sea, etc...)    Assassin's creed Odyssey is one of the most underrated games I know....I mean...Come on...If we are honest with ourselves, we must acknowledge this is a great game who borrowed a lot from The Witcher 3. Assassin's Creed Odyssey performs in a lot of major aspects:
    a) The story is engaging and well presented
    b) The graphics are spectacular (especially the light effects, the sea, etc...)
    c) There is a lot of content and there is important depth in the open world
    d) The naval battles are back (for those who miss Black Flag :))
    e) The gameplay is fun most of the time

    There are some reasons why I think the reviews are around 6,5/10 and from my understanding, I see that a lot of players put 0/10 because of the microtransactions, the leveling system or the fact it doesn't seem as a traditional AC game.

    However, the truth is that the microtransactions are not at all mandatory. We must consider side quests as main quests here...In fact, side quests give us reasons to explore the world, discover new areas, etc...

    In my 86 hours playthrough, I've never been underleveled and I finished the main story at level 49. I plan to continue until level 52 or so (still want to complete a few quests...). Here are a few recommendations to enjoy your playthrough:

    1. You need to explore the world and do side quests.
    2 Don't do the random generated quests on boards or the time limited ones. There are enough quests with the yellow mark to level up appropriately
    3. Play on normal difficulty. I would consider possibly hard for rpg fans but avoid at all cost Nighmare because enemies are really really spungy
    4. If you have an assassin build, try to be 1 or 2 levels above your enemies. I t will help you to play more stealthy. If you have the same level or if you're a bit underleveled, the risk is that you won't eliminate totally your target with a stealth attack
    5. Don't play this game right after Origins, The Witcher 3 or Zelda breath of the Wild. It's a little bit too similar, so you will best enjoy this game after completing other type of games (I played Concrete Genie, Bioshock Infinite, Bloodborne and Yakuza 3 before AC Odyssey)    … Expand

    Some of the locales are really beautiful too. Found myself playing with the photo mode as well quite often. They also added historical information about the places you visit, which makes exploring interesting as well.

    Giving it a 10, because a 5.8 is really not justified. Game deserves an 8 at least.

    A really great game. I'm playing for about 100 h till now and still enough to do and explore. Trying to get the platinum trophy. Most games I play for about 20-30 hours, so value for money is 10/10. I think it's even better than Origins, which I like very much as well.

    I cannot understand the bad reviews for this game, it is much better than Origins in almost every aspect. It mixes it up with Ship play and combat, the maps bigger, there's more stuff to do, the levelling system is better, there's a mercenary system, there's more loot. In general it's just a better game than Origins but gets worse reviews.

    I always loved RPG games like Gothic, Oblivion etc. and this, this is the top, really the best RPG I have ever played... The world, the story, oh man the landscapes and the nature, everything is 10/10.

    There are some minor inconveniences in the movement sometimes, but that is nothing, when compared to the list of all the things this game brings. Story perhaps could be longer but it is essentially just fine. But just look at the size of the map and how much there is to do . I sank almost 120 hours playtime and yet i feel im not even near 100% done. IThis game is simply wonderful.     As soon as you start off your story you will know this is a game not for the faint hearted ,the scale of this game becomes apparent within the 1st few hours .
    Yes it’s now pretty much an RPG ,does that really matter ?to some it seems to . For me this is the perfect game to get stuck into for the next couple of weeks ,probably months . If you like orgins    Played around 15 hours so far .

I thought the game would have reused assets, bugs (as it was released so soon after origins) and the same sorta gameplay style as origins. I was wrong in most of my assumptions.     I dont know why people are complaining about the animations, i have found them to be very very fluid and the combat system has been refined. The quests are great and the RPG elements really do not diminish the game in anyway rather they enhance it.

    Furthermore the mercenary system draws heavily from the nemesis system from Shadow of War and makes for some truly unique gameplay experiences.

    Please do not listen to the naysayers, they are simply angry that the franchise is taking a path different to what it has been stuck on for the past 11 years. The game has progressed and there is nothing stopping you from being an assassin.

    If you liked origins and black flag you will absolutely love this game. 10/10    … Expand

    I am gonna speak for the PC version. The ACO builds on all the great things previous AC games had and removes almost all the bad. I understand why many say that this does not feel like an original AC game but i like that it doesn't. And all have to remember that this and Origins resets the game to much earlier stages than Ezio or Altair. Ofcourse it is not going to be the same as those games/story/tech/gear. I have 20 hours in the game and i have only been in the first 3 areas. The game has easily over 100 play hours if one doesnt rush through the main quest line. The side quests like the Artemis gear quest are awesome and yes at times they do feel a little Witcher3/God of War but so what? I love those games and ACO combines all those awesome elements. As far as open world RPG i will give it a 9 because it borrows many (but only the best) elements from all the games we loved but as an AC game it is a pure 10. I hope AC team has an ace up their sleeve for the next game cause this is pretty awesome.… Expand

    So enough about that and lets talk about the battle system, thats absolutly personal preference if its not just actually unplayable for most of people, and its not then its not supposed to count like Optimization for example, there is people who dislike and there is people who like it, doesnt mean its bad, i think its actually amazing, its a lot like AС Unity and AC Origins combined and its really, really hard, at least on the hardest difficulty lvl set, like REALLY hard, not forgiving to anything and anyone, in some occasions maybe to much. The animations looks smooth and good idk what people are whining about. If they are just bad, i guess they blame the animations or anything else =/
    What i have to say is the optimisation seems actually worse than the last game, the graphics seems nicer tho, so everything looks better but with less FPS but i guess thats what happens, when there is a giant forest instead of a desert =/
    The story seems nice to me, thought not the most interesting (at least to me), but its stil enjoyable and fun, its just not INSANE, but maybe it will be better later, still have a lot to go (only 13 hours played) , so maybe its just the start that doesnt look that impressive. But what is actually worth mentioning and a lot of people can be mad about it: there is NO assassins in this game, its logical, cause the assassins came a few hundred years after this game sets, but i think and i guess we can see the start of the Templars, but again, there is no assassins. Which honestly shoudve been told really clearly, cause i for example started playing this games only because i was playing as a stealthy assassin, but even without them i think the game is just really really good, its been really fun to play, in a lot of ways more than any AC game before, specially because of the fighting system and like i said everything overall seems good to me.
    So dont listen to the haters and try it for yourself, because the game is actually good, but you need to remember, that you have to get a really good pc for it, or the game wont be to enjoyable to play, cause the lvl of optimisation is pretty mediocre =/    … Expand

    Amazing game, really, and don''t even listen people who say you need to buy bosst or anything with microtransaction, it's not true, if you explore a little, you will overlevel main quest really quick, i mean, i'm level max (50) and the main quest is 32, with levelscalling the quest is 48 for me, so the challenge is still here !

    Great job Ubisoft, another amazing game !

    I cared more for these characters and the world than I ever did in previous Assassin’s Creed games, and I think that’s part of why this reboot is so successful. Playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey left me feeling valiant and triumphant as I worked my way up the cultist food chain, and and I was always excited to see what Kassandra was off to discover next.

    If someone had told me couple of years ago that Assassin’s Creed would become a full-fledged action RPG that would not look out of place on a shelf next to The Witcher 3, I would have snickered. But here I am, over 80 hours into Odyssey and still unable to believe that really happened. [12/2018, p.44]
