First off, I love the series, the character and the setting. After hearing the good things about Chronicles: China I gave this one a try since I enjoy the character and the Indian culture. To my disappointment I came to find this game is a frustrating unforgiving and poor imitation of the AC games.

To my disappointment I came to find this game is a frustrating unforgiving and poor imitation of the AC games.

The layout of the levels tend to punish people who have issues judging depth perception. I died many times manly because I could not tell the distance or where I had been placed on the screen. Not realizing I was not on the correct platforms to die. Normally I could look past the issue.

Arbaaz is a charismatic and interesting character and there are a decent number of cool side characters. But the protagonist is seriously underpowered. I know he's not a descendant of the 1st Generation but essentially the game only gives you two chances in combat and it's over. Again the issue would not be a problem but the game's combat and controls are very stiff and unforgiving. I would feel like there was a lag in the commands. In a game like the character seemed to move too slow for me in the more drastic moments in the game. I also am not enjoying how the character is constantly getting buffs or little gimmicks through the game. I never really seem to shake the feeling that I was still in the tutorial.

As others have said the checkpoints are poorly placed and while side items are scattered in the levels AC India only gives you one way to complete the levels task. The freedom of choices I found in the other AC games are not here. I know its a 2d side scroller, but there's never really more that one way to get past a challenge.

The end challenge of the game is cruel and punishing and not even in the slightest way entertaining. AC India even takes the joy out of the few moments of swordplay or combat.

I am still trying to enjoy the game. Ill try to give this one more go and see if I can't change my own mind. but at this moment AC India is a cruel and bland entry to the series, with so much potential this is unacceptable

The worse thing for a gamer to do is buy this version of AC Chronicals:India. Checkpoints are scarce and put in rediculous places! Art and graphics are appalling. Buggy. Tutorial is extremely limited. The game has way too much time specific integrated into various missions. Controls are ok. In general the gameplay is decent for those who are not AC fans. But for those whom are AC die hard fans like my self, then this game is nothing but another UBISOFT failure! I don't recommend buying this game at all. Play mark of ninja or the China version of chronicals I stead. Don't waste your time or money with this game. Ubisoft won't learn from there mistakes by the looks of it. Expand

One of the worst games that I've played recently. Bugs ruin something that was bad, already. Ubisoft has turned a decent franchise into something beyond rescue now.

WOW, what a disappointment... and this comes from someone who absolutely loves the franchised (and loved the first chronicles game, in China). It's amazing how Ubisoft took everything that was working just fine on the previous game and broke it. The setting, music and graphics are gorgeous (even though there are some lazy art here and there, specially during the 'cutscenes'), the character (zero personality by the way) reminds me of Prince of Persia and that's about it.

It's sad, really sad, what they did to this game. The team behind the architecture of the stages, the combat and the stealth mechanics killed what was becoming a promising 2D trilogy. In other words, Assassins Creed Chronicles India SUCKS.

Don't buy this broken and cheap action game with no creativity. Please save your money and do not buy Ubisoft's AC games. There are better 2D games that do proper stealth like Mark of the Ninja.

Complete and terrible ripoff of Mark of the Ninja. Ubisoft take a rehashed and derivative game and then makes it even worse by applying it to a different genre.

    What Kind of Adventure?

2-D Platformer Was it fun? I was disappointed in this game. I really liked China but then they changed the game mechanics and I lost interest. Are there any similar games? Assassins Creed China. Would you play it again? No, I tried to like this game but just didn’t. Any Complaints? Yes, why did they have to change so much of the game?

No, I tried to like this game but just didn’t.

Yes, why did they have to change so much of the game? China was so well made and then people complained so they made changes and sadly made it worse.

How many hours did you play it?

About 3 hours and then I decided that I didn’t want to play anymore.

Instead of building on ACC: China’s formula, Climax Studios delivered more of the same, just more annoying. [03/2016, p.66]
