While the core mechanics remain functionally the same, that (even more) exotic setting and (lesser known) time period, brilliant environment design and brief, but effective, narrative all combine to make something that offers just that little bit more.

Assassin's Creed: Chronicles - India is a product that's better than China. The developers are experimenting with their game and as a result Arbaaz's adventures are more interesting that Shao Jun's story. It's not as good as the almost perfect Mark of the Ninja but you can clearly see a step in the right direction. If you liked the previous game you'll be happy with the new Chronicles.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India improves almost everything from the first chapter, expanding the gameplay and making the experience more compelling.

It's basically Chronicles: China with a new skin. A solid sequel to a solid 2D platformer.

For the most part, I enjoyed my time with AC: India and look forward to the final entry in the Chronicles Trilogy, AC: Russia.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles India is a 2.5D platformer adventure game in a league of its own. You can't compare it with its larger brother, but the low price guarantees good value for money, with challenging sections and replayability.

It's a step further from its predecessor, as it adds a bit of replay value to the formula. On the other hand, the main gameplay issues are still there.

It steals elements from the classic Prince of Persia games. AC India requires some patience and its focus on stealth and platforming gives it an old school charm that diminishes its technical flaws.

It's a decent way to spend some time in-between the bigger releases, though Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is ultimately too superficial to make a lasting impression. A promising setting ultimately isn't enough to keep this 2D platformer interesting.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India makes some vast improvements over its predecessor in terms of style and gameplay while providing challenging 2D puzzles, but still lacks an engaging narrative.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a good 2.5D stealth game that reminds us the classic Prince of Persia, unfortunately its bad combat system and linear levels result on a experience far from perfection. This spin-off will be enjoyed by the fans of the series but for the rest of players maybe will be a little boring and repetitive.

I enjoyed Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India, but it wasn't different enough from China to suggest that playing both is a necessity. If Russia is similarly indistinct, I'd have to recommend players simply pick the country that interests them the most.

Gameplay-wise it's better than Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India, but it's also very similar. If you like stealth-based games, this could be an interesting option.

India is a new entry in the platformer and stealth themed Chronicles series, and as its first iteration it mixes a lot of nice gameplay elements with interesting results.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is a good experience, but is everything rather than perfect. It's cheap, and it's fun, but the control system is not reactive and the gameplay should be more fluid.

Despite being a side-show from the annual attractions, it’s still business as usual. Standard stealth with a null story amidst an interesting and unventured historical period. Like me, that last part may be enough to entice. Just don’t expect the former to feel as novel.

A perfect example of "woulda, coulda, shoulda." There are so many highlights glinting out from this pile of mediocrity; if only the developers could've tied them all together, then we'd be treated to a more vivid and consistent display.

If you weren’t won over by AC Chronicles: China, AC Chronicles: India probably won’t change your mind. But if you want a game with some solid stealth gameplay and a sizeable smattering of timed, platforming bits, you probably won’t be too disappointed (the low price of admission also helps).

This game does exactly what its predecessor did, which is not a lot of fun. The key character is too over the top and it makes us feel even more strongly about the Assassin's Creed franchises need of being renewed.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India looks authentic, but has lackluster audio; the story just doesn't compare to previous Creed games; the gameplay has its moments but not enough of them; and, well, China was just more of a bad-ass example, and didn't make you pace yourself through tedious segments. It leaves me wondering just where the final chapter of the Chronicles saga, Russia, will end up when it debuts in a few weeks.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles India should have improved China's ideas and China's gameplay. But there's nothing really new in this second installment. The game is nothing better, nothing prettier and it still carries some very irritating problems.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a game that should have everything going for it with its great visuals and setting, established world and an interesting protagonist. Instead we're left with an average game with a bland narration that's frustrating to control and play. It's truly such a shame.

The dialogue is dull, the art style doesn't look good at all, and the game just doesn't have much appeal. It's certainly not bad, it's just so bang average that you'll have seen it all before.

Tutorial is extremely limited. The game has way too much time specific integrated into various missions. Controls are ok. In general the gameplay is decent for those who are not AC fans. But for those whom are AC die hard fans like my self, then this game is nothing but another UBISOFT failure! I don't recommend buying this game at all. Play mark of ninja or the China version of chronicals I stead. Don't waste your time or money with this game. Ubisoft won't learn from there mistakes by the looks of it. Full Review »

The combat is horrific, and the stealth, though challenging and mostly intuitive gets so unfair at times that it is hard to call it a good stealth game even, with cheap shot after cheap shot. The locale of India is pretty much lost. You would think with Assassin's Creed finally getting to a more exotic location that they would use it to their advantage, but bad dialogue, and zero story makes for a waste of location beyond the random tigers and Indian-looking buildings. Left me wanting way more. Very disappointed in this title.
