Anthem is a solid concept misunderstood by alot of people. The problem I see most is people constantly comparing it to other games, "its not like mass effect" because it isn't, would be like me saying last remnant is bad because it isn't final fantasy. "There's not as many guns as warframe" its been out for a few days, it took 5 years for warframe to build up its current catalogue of weapons, you think it had that many on launch? My favourite is the complaints about dialogue options not impacting the story, thats because its a mmo, changing the outcome of events would lead to different mission choices, so if i chose a path different from my friend, we'd end up with different missions and could not play them together, Bioware cleverly kept the dialogue options there for us to have some kind of interaction with the NPCs but tied it to bonus faction exp depending on your choice. I guess what im trying to say is that Anthem is its own game and a player should enter it with that in mind.

Its a fantasic experience that my friends and myself are having a great time playing

I never felt like I was waiting long to get back in the action. The NPC's at the Hub are entertaining, though movement speed is still a bit slow there (though much quicker than in the beta).

In those 10 hours, I did have one crash, and one server disconnect, so hopefully stability is improved going forward (though I should mention that when I reloaded the game, I was able to rejoin the previous session instantly, and picked up right where I left off).

Overall, I look forward to seeing what this game grows into, as it has potential to be a solid ten.

This is an awful game and EA and Bioware knows it. The game feels unfinished, trashy, and is a bore to play. It just feels like a Destiny or Warframe clone with no passion or direction.

This game really deserves a chance. In normal situations, I would give a score based on facts, a fair score. But this is not the case. I'm giving 10 to help the game and its developers. Strong alone, stronger together !!!!

I'm not going to list the bugs present in the game because I'm fairly certain I'd hit the max character limit (I'm being serious), so I'll just say a few words about core game mechanics and gameplay. The gameplay is something quite new, that on top of beautiful graphics is definitely making a great impression, and that's as far as the positive aspects go. The first impression goes away within 10h, so you're left dealing with game that has a TONS of loading screens, short, shallow story, small map that's mostly empty, THREE STRONGHOLDS ("endgame"), uninteresting loot, and almost no armors. All you do is play with colors - that's pretty much as far as customization goes. Weapons are uninteresting, all feel the same. There's literally a handful of weapons and all that changes is their rarity and level. As far as I can see 3x weapons of each type, and there's like 6 or 7 types. Stupid and completely ridiculous design choices that are worse than all mistakes looter-shooter games in the past did (Destiny, Division). Question comes to mind what in the hell did they do for SEVEN YEARS!? You put in 10h, 20h max and you're done. You've seen it all, there's nothing more. Anthem is a strong contender for the worst game of 2019 and I'm pretty sure it will take the crown at the end of the year. I'm not even hating, I really had high hopes, and I really, really tried to like this game. I wanted this to be successful but it won't be, bugs aside - this game's core is so broken it's beyond repair. You had one chance bioware. Literally every single decision in this game screams incompetence. I'm officially done with bioware products. If you're still thinking of buying this, wait a bit, it gonna hit the lowest shelves with half price slapped on it sooner than Fallout 76. Expand

Fun game - i've played it for about 10 hours and am really enjoying myself. I'm a Destiny fan and like that another game has jumped into the arena. Flying is fun, the map is great, the missions are satisfying. I don't know if it'll keep it's audience in the long run like Destiny has but for now, i'm really impressed and excited to continue playing.

The graphics in this game are phenomenal some of the best I’ve seen on PS4 pro. The flying is extremely satisfying, the gunplay and general javelin play is also great, they nailed the aspect of each javelin playing and feeling completely different. I’ve put about 30 hours into this game on PS4 pro and have crashed 3 times. Which isn’t a big deal to me because even after those crashes I still want to play the game and see where the story goes. The story is the most “meh” part of the game to me, it throws a couple curve balls and plot twists that make it interesting if you’ve been paying attention to what’s going on which is pretty good at times and boring at worst. Facial animations are top notch. The game is a live service, if you like looter shooters flying around with friends blowing up enemies with cool ass abilities and are willing to stay for the long haul, which I know the game will become even better with future updates and roadmap already laid out. Don’t listen to the fools who gripe about the occasional bug and load times. If you can look pass that. You’ll be in for a very fun time.

The only big complaint I do have is armor. It doesn’t drop. From what I can tell you can only buy it with coins you get from completing challenges and missions or with shards (in game currency) which I’m hoping they fix soon to allow armor drops even if it was from like impossible bosses and mission or challenges.

Game incomplete released. Missing end-game content. All missions are very similar. Very poor customization. Constant disconnections. Lots of bugs. Frame Drops in areas with many enemies is recurring and annoying. But the worst is that the game sold at full price is still full of micro-transactions. I do not buy an EA game again.

Sometimes I could get back in after several attempts and minutes, and sometimes I could not. Sometimes I kept loot and sometimes not. I stopped playing after it completely shut down my PS4 and I had to run through the diagnostics to start it up again. I can't risk mt PS4 dying because of the errors and build of this game.

Flying is fun, exploring new world is fun but not enough to overcome major issues
    1. technical errors/ problems
    2. mapping - where are events? where are team members? How do I know someone is down and needs to be revived? When I need to be revived all I can do is just sit there with no hope of coming back without revive and can't see anything except my downed prospective. Can't crawl towards a safe place to revive. Can't see through my team mates eyes, etc.
    3. I pick up a weapon and can't use it until getting through several loading screens and back to fort? Fat chance of me getting through those without getting kicked.
( I understand not being able to use armor pieces immediately, but guns? That I am obviously holding because I bring back to the fort? WHAT??!!?!!)
    4. very repetitive. I felt I was completing same mission over and over. kill, defend and fetch. over. and over. and over. I waited years for this game. It is not the game promised and hyped.

I am done with pre-ordering. I did it with Fallout and said never again for Bethesda, and now Anthem has finally got me to say no more to any game.

It’s certainly not the second coming of Mass Effect 2, but it’s addictive.

Pros: it’s an Iron Man simulator. All four javelins have vastly different play styles. Only the ranger feels like a “shooter” style game. Story was great. Certainly has the BioWare quality cast of characters. Looter mechanics are much more similar to Diablo than Destiny. Flight mechanics have been nailed.

Don't expect a rich story or deep characters, expect fun content and good visuals. My rating of a six is based largely on the fact that I found this game to be next to unplayable on Xbox One. I upgraded to an Xbox One X and the experience is much better. I full expect there to be some future support for Anthem, the 'games as a service' model has worked very well for Ubi and I think we will see EA on that bandwagon as well with this title. Expand

It seems that when they were acquired by Electronics Arts; many of their games have had trouble, due to EA’s thirst for monetization and demand for deadlines. EA is killing games and BioWare is one of their victims.

I buy my games, I do not rely on developers codes and I do not get paid to review games. For me, if a game is not fun, it is not a good game. If a game is unfinished, it is not a good game. If the game is a grind, it is not a good game.

I play games for entertainment and I am not beholden to being blacklisted if I give a bad review so here it goes.

The graphics of this game are a bag of mixed nuts. Some areas are simply beautiful, some areas are full of pop-ins, and for the most part, after the first hour I was frustrated. Additionally the loading screens are horrendous. Finally I found myself getting dizzy.

This game is unfinished with boring missions, boring and some unnecessary NPC who for some reason want to tell you their life stories. The enemies and basically the same and the main villain is treated poorly.

I want to go on, but simply put, I cannot get my money back so I am left with reselling the game or trade it in, which is a shame since again, BioWare did not deliver on its promise.

I end with one question: Why BioWare, why have you given us another vanilla shooter?

And unlike a lot of co-op games, we're not leaving each other behind by playing alone--everything scales and we can join each other's missions and freeplay sessions and help each other out. It is a glaring omission that there are no non-voice communication options beyond a couple of emotes--but BW has already made updates that *have improved* the game (being on PS4 w/out early access, I'm seeing a huge improvement from the Demo weekends to release and am really encouraged by the improvements). Is it a finished game? Probably not, but it has so much potential, and wasn't Destiny a disappointment when it first released too? And you have to pay out the ass for every xpack. This doesn't seem to be the case with Anthem... you can choose to get vanity items or not and it doesn't detract from the gameplay. My big fear is that they'll give up on this game like they did Andromeda--which was also hugely improved after release, and knowing no single player xpacks were coming for that just sucked my motivation out of wanting to finish it. Anthem's combat and mechanics are a lot of fun to play, co-op has a lot of potential (contextual communication wheel ala Fortnite maybe?) and I've even had a good time teaming up with rando's to defeat Titans in freeplay. I'm not giving up on it. Expand

You can craft the heck out of your gear to build your perfect symbioses for your weapons/playstile.
Same goes for your javelin. You can make your Javelin nearly uniqe with dozens of materials, colours, gears etc. I never saw 2 Javelins in the same Sqaud that looked exactly the same.
Also the dialogues are mostly very good. It has not the depth of a Mass Effect/ Dragon Age but thats ok. Nevertheless, you can talk to many of the resident in Fort Tarsis an advise them with diffrent things. Sometimes the Fort will change a bit.
The dialogues within in the Missons/Contracts are very nice to and they are able to keep the tension high in many situations.

I don´t know what´s the problem for so many people.

This game is exactly as advertised.

It get compares a lot to Destiny or Warframe....but to what version of that games? At launch, Destiny had not very much content (but many broken promisses (smaller maps as promissed, 3 strikes at start) but it changed over the months with the live-service. Same for Warframe. You compare a new game wich just startet with other games that had time over years to evolve an become what they are now. In the beginning, they where more or less at the same state, they where ok but had much space to evolve, and they did.

Please guys, remember, this is just the beginning. Let it evolve.

btw. sorry for my bad english :P

Oh, nd one more thing. I am not a "EA-Fanboy" or something. I dont like that company very much and try to avoid it. But this doesnt change the fact for me, that this is a great game.

I'll compare the game with destiny 2:

    1) Gameplay: Anthem > Destiny 2 because in Anthem you can use your abilities more often. Combat is more dynamic, user has to decide more often which ability is used when on which enemy. Destiny 2 feels like a boring shooter compared to Anthem. Anthem has no PvP so the game is not balanced around a stupid PvP mode. Its just designed as a great PvE

Destiny 2 feels like a boring shooter compared to Anthem. Anthem has no PvP so the game is not balanced around a stupid PvP mode. Its just designed as a great PvE game.

    2) Story: Anthem > Destiny 2. Both game's stories are standard: Something powerful (traveleranthem) is there, 2 fractions want to use its powers. But: Destiny story presentation is just bad. Anthem has many (skip able) dialogs, nice cut scenes and the story makes a bit more sense to me.

    3) Graphics: Anthem > Destiny 2. Well, ... its just as it is.

I don't think that Anthem is a masterpiece. Its a solid game. Any player who likes destiny 2 PvE should try Anthem. Players who don't like the looter-shooter-genre: just don't buy anthem (or destiny 2).

Destiny 2 was a boring game without any endgame content because the whole content was too easy. You don't need any high level gear for anything. Strikes are not a challenge at all. And the raids are just boring because it's all about learning mechanics, not about skill, timing,...! But destiny was ..."ok".

Anthem is a great PvE experience for those, who like Warframe, Destiny 2 and similar games.

If you like PvP: Don't buy anthem!

About loading times: I have a normal Ps4Pro with the standard HDD using day1 patch. Loading times are pretty short. Got many other games with longer loading times (Destiny 2 for example...!)

I buyed Anthem knowing that this would be a game that gets some live development and that needs a frequent userbase so the creators can learn, fix and adjust things.

The best thing in Anthem is how they make you feel you're wearing a Javelin by yourself. Just as good as Spider-Man made you feel you were slinging the webs by yourself, the DualShock4 transforms a very good feeling when you start flying around and everything else you do while being in your Javelin. There is only one city (if you can even call it that) and I find it a slow boring chore walking up to each unimportant shop keeper or drunk just to give you fkn faction points. Theirs choices to be made in the conversations and I found it completely useless and lazy. It's not like the Paragon choices you had in Mass Effect. The main characters don't interest me one bit and I find that Owen guy unbearable.

The game truly shines on it's gameplay and detail. The world is completely beautiful and its sandbox is just amazing to travel through by air. You can fly around with your chosen javelin through dense forest weaving trees, through caves, shortcut your way across the map through wormhole tunnels and even take a quick dip under water to cool your engines to extend your flying.

Combat is fast and intense and I suggest you always play on the HARD difficulty even when just starting and with a group to maximise experience and get better loot.

The javelins are well designed, some are different from each other some are very similar. I prefer to use the Interceptor which is a rogue class. Very fast, jump in jump out type class with a range of different skills.

You can try the Storm javelin which is the mage class which can cast devastating elemental damage from afar but can't take many hits and will be at the back of the pack.

The Colossus or I call him 'Big Boy' is the tank of the group which has the taunt skill and carries a shield to jump into the party. You can also use him afar and use artillery fire to devastate.

If you still on the fence you can opt back to the starter Ranger class which has a balance of offence and defence and probably the easiest to use.

Yes there are loading screens and they are annoyingly long. I hate it when I have to jump menus to gear up my javelin...loading screen...then go to the mission select...loading screen...oh sh..t forgot to equip better guns....loading screen...start mission...you guessed it. Hopefully some patches can reduce this especially during gameplay when you go into dungeons. Really breaks immersion but I'm not too pissed at that...yet

Will be interesting what endgame content they'll have and how they overcome content when there's no PvP. The strongholds which is the 'Raid' equivalent are challenging enough on Hard is the best way of getting the best loot.

Overall it's a good game, not great even though they had the 'allstar Bioware' team and so much time to perfect it. My real score is a 6-7 but i'll give it an 8 to boost it's score from the stupid haters.

I want to stress this out, please dismiss the haters, this game has many. It is an awesome game but for some reason also has an equally awesome amount of haters. Try it out, it’s nice. BioWare said over and over again that lots of contents are coming. But today the game lacks exactly that: content. Never fully trust a review made 2 days after release. Don’t even read reviews with 0’s or 1’s, nor the ones with 10’s and 9’s. You know, common sense. Yes this receives is also made very close after release, that’s why I’m not taking the technical issues into consideration, because they will obviously be fixed over time. Expand

Combat is where this game earns it's points, flying around and engaging numerous foes is a lot of fun, but there there could be more variation of weapons and skills

Customization is not as detailed as I'd like, it's mostly just color swap with 2 Armour sets per Javelin (1 of witch costs €10) so if they plan to add more they better make it more accessible.

Overall this game will be a GOTY candidate so long as the address

Not as a single player story based game, as that is not what it is, I’m not going to rate it as mass effect 4, as that isn’t what it is. This has more in common with a game like Diablo than it does a classic Bioware story based single player adventure. I will be giving my honest opinion from playing the game over this weekend, around 12 hours and I will amend should my opinion change further in.i

Firstly, the presentation of this game is great, the feel of movement, flight, combat are all strong and although I suspect built on the building blocks of ME’s third person shooting but a fair bit tighter. The setting is large, sprawling, beautiful and interesting. This large scale area can be a bit empty, but there are rare chests, hidden areas of interest, codex entries and lore for places of interest should that be something you want to delve into.

The player hub which is a town to pick up missions talk to NPC’s to get some more info on the world and access your javelin to customise it and equip different skills, weapons or buffs which are all loot picked up from enemy drops or chests found dropped from completed events. One thing I found jarring from this is playing a mission with friends, you all go back to town, talk to people, amend your loadout watch a cutscene, but your squad may all be at different parts of the story, meaning there can be a lot of waiting, and whilst the plot interests me and the conversations I want to be engaged in I do find myself distracted worrying about holding up my friends while they wait for me. But the town is where you find the story and interesting characters you may expect from single player bioware titles but much in simpler form mainly because this isn’t an epic single player bioware game but a looter shooter with bioware flavour. This shouldn’t surprise anyone.

The game is really fun to play, the loot is varied and interesting a good number of skills to interchange and combo with eachother, components to boost damage types, weapon types, and all gear including weapons can bolster your skills too so with some gear some great combinations can be equipped to suit your build or compliment your allies abilities. Which for me is enough to say that this game is enjoyable, it’s fun to play and I truly believe I will be playing it for some time.

One criticism I do have from playing is the mission types seem similar, it’s fight several waves of enemies, guard an area for a time/pick up objects nearby and collect them together, defeat a boss. Mission complete, this is also similar in free roam with the random events so it’s not very imaginative. But the core gameplay is fun, and the bosses are interesting so far, so that doesn’t bother me much.

In Summary, I do not think this is a 10, but I know this is not a 0, this is a 7-8 in my opinion with the potential to grow with its evolving world and planned free additional content. I am basing my opinion on my enjoyment of the game and not out of nostalgic loyalty to Bioware, politics or a general dislike of EA. Some pro’s and con’s.

    Pros
Beautiful local with points of interest to explore.
Tight and challenging combat that encourages teamwork.
A decent loot system including skills as loot.
Interesting Javelins that play and feel different.
A good fun multiplayer looter shooter.
Town parts and conversations are interesting and a bioware seasoning upon this different style game

    Cons
Town conversations cutscenes make multiplayer awkward at times.
Not good variation of mission types, only 3-4 formulas that are repeated

Rewarding this an 8 on light of the above comments and based on my own experience of the game. I will edit this once further in should the above change as I progress.

Even Monster Hunter World is comparable though obviously more set apart due to its structure. Let's go through the critical issues one by one.

Bugs - Many of the bugs critics complained about are already squashed and the rest obviously will be squashed. There's no way Bioware is going to let them be. Comparisons to Fallout 76 are a downright lie and whoever spreads those lies should be ashamed of themselves. I've experienced some minor bugs and so the game does lose some score for that.

Story - Look, it's not Mass Effect but mainly because it's linear, not because it is any less quality. I am very much enjoying getting to know the colorful cast around Fort Tarsis and there is at least one twist I didn't see coming. Now sure, not everyone has to love the story, everyone is allowed to have their opinion. However, the story of Anthem leaves Warframe, Destiny, and Division in the dust and that's indisputable. Anyone saying otherwise is lying to you.

Graphics - Everyone agrees these are great.

Sound - Everyone agrees this is great.

Gameplay - Everyone agrees this is great. It's super fun. The combo system is a joy and unlike Destiny you can make some actually diverse builds with the gear in the game. None of the 4 Javelins plays the same. I stomp around the battlefield like Hulkbuster Iron Man in my Colossus and am constantly cycling between all my abilities. From sprinting through mobs with my shield, to air slams, to mortars, to flamethrowers, throw in some auto cannon and grenade launcher, and just keep on going. Anthem is an Iron Man simulator and it is a glorious one.

Endgame grind - Is pretty typical for this genre. Now, grinding isn't for everyone! That's cool. However, the grind is absolutely comparable to anything in Destiny, Warframe, Division, etc. If you don't like the grind in this game, you just don't like looter shooters.

EA hating - I mean, I'm totally with you that EA is a bad company but I'm not going to drag down a good game just to hate on EA.

Microtransactions - Are only for cosmetics, and all DLC is free. Yes, it sucks to have micro transactions in paid games but we crossed that bridge a while ago and it's a thing now. I won't drag down a good game to hate on micro transactions.

Day one patches - Yes, it sucks that games release and need day one patches. Again, why should we drag Anthem through the mud to complain about that practice? It is also a lot more forgivable with a game like Anthem as it is a live service that will evolve over time. You don't like these new live service games? Bully for you, don't play them, Cyberpunk is being worked on as we speak, doesn't mean Anthem deserves to be dragged down. Personally, I enjoy the journey we take with these live service games, still have fond memories of the Year 1 Triumphs from Destiny.

Overall, the core fundamentals of this game are solid and a blast. There are some minor rough edges that need polishing, some UI fixes, some bug squashing. You skip this game because of the critics, you're missing out.

The story really disappointed me with repetitive gameplay and really REALLY long loading screens. Microtransaction, do I need to say more. It felt like the voice actor/actress for the NPC felt lazy and no passion. It's probably better playing with your friends but I had trouble actually getting in a game even if I have my PS Plus. It has potential and can be entertaining during the first couple of hours, but you realize of its problems since the beginning: buggy, more loading screens than gameplay, laughable IA, microtransactions, lack of content and variety, disappointing story by Bioware's standards, the most unimaginative grind wall to progress in the "plot",.. and more importantly Mass effect died for this.

So my score is 2 because
Yes gameplay is fun BUT having basicly same amount of content as Destiny after it failed miserably because of that reason and release the game in a state that does feel like a alpha build and yes i mean that it feels even worse than a beta build. Been playing this game quite a bit and I enjoy it a lot. The gameplay feels a lot like mass effect 3 (in a good way) and it's a blast to play with friends. Action and motion feels good, a lot of the abilities are fun and feel solid. I'd definitely say this is more enjoyable with friends than alone, however.

If you are reading reviews I would recommend looking into it a but further yourself and not buy into completely glowing reviews or completely negative bashing reviews. Try not to give in to bias one way or another and be objective. It isn't a perfect game but I have really enjoyed it and and am looking forward to more!

DO: Start playing Anthem if you enjoy games based around loot grinds and pushing powerful and higher quality combinations of gear and weapons into higher tier difficulties. If you've played and found interest in games like Diablo 3 the gear/build structure in Anthem, while not as deep a pool yet, draws quite close and can easily grow to encompass a wide variety of play styles even within the 4 Javelin lineup currently in place.

This, in combination with a beautifully crafted world to fly around in, and a story that could have been much worse comparatively, makes for a better launch experience than most games in this category that I've come across. The potential is there and I am looking forward to seeing the game grow.

Anthem is far less grindy than Destiny 1 or 2 and again has an actual story. The game deserves a 6 or 7 but I gave it a 10 as some hundred or more people have given it a zero or a one for no other reason than some mouth piece on YouTube said the game was irredeemable garbage and wanted to repeat that I guess. If the game hasn't already interested you wait for a sale if the game does interest you and you have the cash buy it or try to play a buddy's copy, the hate the game is getting is unfounded and I hope the haters will move on to another game now and let BioWare keep doing what it is without EA getting antsy and coming in to ruin what potential the game has. I've played PC and PS4 and I can say without a doubt this is a console game. It just runs so much better than PC. This game has a lot of fun mechanics that work well together and the story is mediocre as a stand alone, but what was released is chapter one. This should be considered when reviewing the story and as such I can't go beyond it's decent so far.

The end game is very shallow and players should not race to get to end game for the first few weeks. You could do this in week easy, but you would cheat yourself.

The gameplay is scarred by a few nasty bugs or mechanics decisions, but thus far Bioware has delivered on fixes. Through the onset I constantly saw comments of "no way this can get fixed in before beta". Bioware fixed it. Then I saw, no way can this be fixed for early release on PC. Bioware fixed it. Then the hatred crept in and I saw "This game is unsalvageable, no way the day 1 patch could fix things". Well, it definitely fixed issues for me. Bioware has earned a little patience from me to see where they are going. This is definitely a game to try. Also if reviewers gave fallout 76 a 6/10 this deserves at least that.

There is no PVP anywhere to be found. That was the only thing close to fun in Destiny, and the lazy developers of Anthem didn't even bother to try. If I'm not mistaken, the whole point of online multiplayer is to give games more replay value, and make it a go-to experience (and of course, sell microtransactions). So what am I suppose to do in this boring game, after beating the main story? Even Farming Simulator has more replay value than this poor excuse of a game.

This game is online only. So once the developers switch off the servers, this game will end up in the trash can. Charging $60 for an online only game is a cashgrab. It's already bad enough that this game has no offline campaign, but the developers had the audacity to not add PvP in a online only game. I don't recommend this game at all. Games not complete, its closer to a beta than a finished product, very little to do, the hub is lifeless, story is shallow bugs cripple the fun, framerates drop below 20 sometimes, flying should be more of an emphasis during battles, no chase missions, seriously? Missed opportunity. In short, it has potential but its not a $60 game right now and may not be for a good while.

    Pros
    1. Flying is fun
    2. The game has potential
    3. The world is beautiful
    4. Combat at least at first is a lot of fun

    Cons
    1. Shallow story
    2. Bugs galore
    3. The missions are extremely repetitive, lacking real variety
    4. In 2019, this many load screens and the long waits in them(even after the patch) is unacceptable
    5. Its a game as a service which means its not finished and as of right now theres not enough to do in the game. Essentially you're buying a promise from EA for continued support even if and most likely sales are lower than projected.
    6. Framerates do drop especially during combat.
    7. As much potential as this game has, its been rushed out whether by EA or Bioware or both. And it shows.
    8. Novelty of combat wears off quickly.
    9. Game needs better and different weapon types bc all feel and are about the same outside of damage. Also customized looks for the javelins would be great. Outside of the microtransactions ones i mean.
    10. 7 yrs in development to get this. I don't mean to sound biased but if it takes you this long to come out with a game that still belongs in beta imo, I worry absolutely about the state and depth of any dlc Bioware may come out with.

4/10 right now but it has a chance to get better but it's not worth $60 first day.

After getting this game into my hands, I was an instant fan. The moment to moment combat here is some of the best combat realized in video games up to this point. Also the open world here is beyond gorgeous that have small touches and has interactions that you don’t see in other games for sure. It has shades of Diablo, Destiny, Phantasy Star Online and Mass Effect which isn’t the worst games to have shades of. Will admit that I was hoping that Fort Tarsis would have more to it, but everything considered, this is a small gripe for sure. Also the weapons could have more variety with some more imagination. Though the fact that you can run plenty of different builds per javelin definitely makes up for this in my opinion. My advice is to either watch someone stream the game or get it into your hands before rendering your verdict for sure. As the negative commentary around this game is unfounded for sure.
