May 13, 2016Interesting variation of classic tower defense with a well planned rotation concept.
-
Mar 30, 2016It may have nothing new to offer, but the combination of tried and tested mechanics with a dash of teen-soap drama turn its eleventh-hour attempt to organize humanity’s last line of defense into an adequate diversion.
-
May 25, 2016Irritating dialogue overshadows a unique blend of gameplay elements.
-
Apr 27, 2016If you’re at all a fan of Tower Defense games, pick it up. It’s a fun time and offers a neat twist in its gameplay that only makes it all the more endearing.
-
Apr 20, 2016Wayward characterisation, however, Aegis is genuine fun, and a genuine twist on a very staid genre.
-
May 17, 2016Aegis of Earth has potential, but it fails to deliver an engaging experience. It's not a bad game, but it's a good choice of you've played all the other main tower defense games.
-
Apr 23, 2016A tower defense game without innovation that seeks the attention of the player with an anime style that becomes a cliché during the story. It can be improved in many ways.
-
Apr 20, 2016Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault is perfectly serviceable, I guess, if that's all you're looking for, but if you want any more than that — say, if you want a game that really does have a neat new twist on the tower defense formula — it'll just end up disappointing you.
-
Mar 29, 2016If you're a fan of its anime art or simple tower defense mechanics, Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault might be worth your time, but it doesn't exactly have any major selling points either.
-
Apr 27, 2016Although I like the idea of what Protonovus is going for, it plays its cards too soon and runs out of steam far too quickly. There simply isn't enough variety to sustain its extended run time, so fatigue and boredom set right in. It's a good try, but these rotating rings of death are in need of a more challenging, more interesting campaign.
-
Apr 7, 2016Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault is proof positive that one good idea can’t carry a title. The central gimmick is a good one, but there is just no reason to subject yourself to a game so unambitious and condescending.
