    Simply put one of the best indie titles ever made and a strong contender even in the mainstream gaming space. A Plague Tale: Innocence combines dark and unsettling environments with gameplay that will keep you constantly on your toes as you never know what danger is lurking in the shadows or around the next corner. You play as Amicia, who is suddenly thrust into danger with her brotherSimply put one of the best indie titles ever made and a strong contender even in the mainstream gaming space. A Plague Tale: Innocence combines dark and unsettling environments with gameplay that will keep you constantly on your toes as you never know what danger is lurking in the shadows or around the next corner. You play as Amicia, who is suddenly thrust into danger with her brother Hugo as a Plague sweeps across Europe. There are several characters you meet along the way with my favorite being Lucas. He is an extremely intelligent prodigy in the alchemical arts. He joins Amicia and Hugo on their journey and even teaches Amicia how to use alchemy to avoid and even vanquish her foes. The combat is both amazing and the only misstep in an otherwise flawless game. When you are sneaking around in stealth or attacking from stealth the combat is fantastic. However, when you are spotted and you have to engage in hand to hand combat the devs didn't really give you anyway to defend yourself from pursuers who are faster than you are. So you will inevitably get caught and be instantly killed. There is an alchemical weapon you can use to escape an enemy that catches you but it is very expensive in the resources it requires to make so I usually chose to restart the checkpoint rather than waste precious resources. Puzzles are an integral part of the A Plague Tale: Innocence experience and all of them are really well designed and a joy to figure out. There are a number of boss fights in the game with the final boss being simply amazing and a fight I find myself coming back to again and again to give him a good whack in the head with a rock. I highly recommend this game if you enjoy story driven linear experiences.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Como juego de ps4, deja mucho que desear gráficamente. Aunque no está mal del todo (parece de ps3), carece de algunos detalles que podrían estar mejor resueltos como las expresiones, las texturas del barro etc etc, pero és un "doble A".
    Las expresiones son muy frías, lo que llamamos " Ojo de tiburón", y se parecen mucho algunos de los personajes (faciales) parecen todos familia. El apartado jugable, és un poco tosco el manejo, con los personajes, y hay momentos que no estás solo, la IA de los compañeros deja mucho que desear, y ya no hablamos de los enemigos, no tienen Inteligencia. La banda sonora, pienso que és de lo mejor del juego, acompaña muy bién todo lo que rodea este mundo, los sonidos en general están bastante bién logrados. En fin! Con las ratas se les a ido la mano, és muy lineal, la historia buuueno! Otra más. Es un n juego muy simple, todo está muy marcado y no tienes libertad.    … Expand

    One of the best story games I have played.
    The unique and attractive gameplay, variety and fun of the game are its strengths.
    It has an excellent story that keeps the audience engaged.
    The game environment is very beautiful. Although it has small technical problems.
    I strongly recommend it.

    Love the atmosphere, love the story and the gameplay. This is a game I am pretty sure I will remember for some time.
    Cudos for the writers for making the kids realistic but also not annoying, I very much enjoyed all of the story and characters.

    This game is fantastic, it portrays the middle ages very well, it is super immersive and brings us closer to the characters, where during the game we create bonds with Amicia and Hugo, very good setting and soundtrack, note 8

    Gráficos fabulosos que ficam ainda melhores na PS5
    Jogabilidade muito boa, com períodos de muita ação e outras de exploração. Também considero muito bom a possibilidade de fazer melhorias aos diferentes equipamentos.
    Recomendo vivamente.

    JUEGAZO, hermosos personajes, buena protagonista, amicia te amo, hugo me parece un personaje bien hecho tambien, es un niño y actua como tal. el villano esta mas o menos pero sigue siendo un juegazo, lindo el tema de las ratas

Voce irá facilmente gostar de Amicia. Diferente da maioria dos jogos Main. Pontos negativos: A maneira como vc tem que lidar com o combate por vezes é travado, a movimentação de objetos é muito ruim, ficaJoguei a versão de PS5. Eu concordo com a detecção de morte imediata porem não faz sentido vc ser identificado por um personagem que esta a mais de 50mts e ele te alcançar em apenas 2 segundos. poderiam ser feito de outra forma já que vc literalmente não pode "lutar" com soldados da Inquisição. Este é o objetivo principal do game ... se esconder e fujir a maior parte do tempo, Existe um exagero em certos ambientes, sim, estamos diante de uma praga e diante de uma guerra mas as vezes existem tantos corpos que é impossivel aquelas pessoas morarem no mesmo "condado" ou sei lá o nome .... Existem um ambiente em que existe tanto boi morto que chega a ser engraçado pela quantidade, ninguem naquele tempo detinha tanto gado e nem existiam pastagens para tanto boi. Os ratos são um caso a parte, ele funcionam como uma brincadeira de criança chamada "o chão é lava" vc remove eles aqui e ali, desvia lá e por fim vc controla a lava kkkkkk. .
    Resumido: Se vc gosta de uma boa historia com personagem principal cativante e com personalidade, gosta de jogo em 3a pessoa com enfase massiva em se esconder, esse jogo é pra voce. Esqueça tipos e alarmes, modo detetive dentro outras coisas a lá MGS. É um jogo diferente e muito bom, peca as vezes por coisa besta como salvar em lugar errado ou não permitir que vc volte a algum ambiente. as vezes o combate pode parecer frustante mas é só pegar o jeito "bugado" de atirar pedras kkkkk. de resto é um bom jogo e vale a pena joga-lo.    … Expand

    This game is a story telling masterpiece. A mostly linear game with realistic stealth and combat mechanics. The acting is top notch. The settings are beautiful. The game never disappoints and has you engrossed and striving to see what is next.

    The gameplay here is extremely restrictive. You are often forced to do things a very particular way, and should you not you will run into very sharp difficulty spikes. The game makes you feel like an actor following a script and not a player in a simulated scenario. This game is just chockfull of characters making aggravatingly stupid decisions constantly and if you're someone like me who gets really bothered by this than you will hate this game. And I don't mean stupid decisions that is understandable for the characters to make, no I mean that they make purposefully dumb decisions that no human being would ever make, undeveloped or otherwise, just to justify the next scenario. And in the end it is in service of a terrible story which truly fly's off the goddamn rails at the end. Not really sure what it is I'm supposed to see in this game besides a strong presentation.… Expand

    After reading the reviews, I was excited to try out this game. It started off quite well, with beautiful graphics and an interesting story unfolding. However, I was shocked at the amount of bugs in it: characters start to speak at the same time, or only 3 minutes after you saw the NPCs - you might already be miles away from them. I tried opening the door, but the character got stuck and had to wait for a couple of minutes before anything happened. What is completely unacceptable however, is the 'black holes' - I've fallen into one where there was supposed to be a water fountain, and couldn't get out. I've then climbed over a fence and was supposed to land on a ground, but instead fell into a massive black hole again where I couldn't get out of. Had to delete this immediately.

    I just haven't seen so many bugs in a game in ages. Shame really, as it was a promising game.    … Expand

    Amazing game I honestly got this on PS+ though I didn’t play it till recently. Well I am sad I didn’t because this is one of the best narrative driven games I have played.

    First the pros Amazing atmosphere - the game doesn’t shy away from what is trying to present and is delicately sculpted Amazing story - nothing crazy but it is well presented and paced evenly with believable twists    Amazing game I honestly got this on PS+ though I didn’t play it till recently. Well I am sad I didn’t because this is one of the best narrative driven games I have played.

    Nice gameplay - the gameplay is a bit simple but generally interesting and new additions keep it from getting stale until the end of the game

    Cons

    The crate pushing implemented feels extremely clunky

    Aiming can be frustrating particularly as enemies move around the environment on uneven terrain

    Juego absolutamente increíble. La ambientación muy buena, la música espectacular, y la relación entre ambos personajes es profunda, cuidada, y emocionante. Es una experiencia preciosa. El juego tiene un gran rendimiento y gráficamente es top.

    Graficos bonitos, historia legal, dublagem muito boa - a tematica francesa da era medieval eh muito bonita e os elementos de jogabilidade fazem com que ela seja talvez ate supere a jogabilidade de the last of us part 1. Apesar de a personagem principal nao ter tao simpatica, o menino Hugo acaba nos ganhando (no comeco ele eh bastante irritante). Ficou faltando parte da historia (porque ha claros problemas na relacao da Amicia com sua mae) talvez isso seja explicado na continuacao.
    No geral fiquei satisfeito com o jogo. Thumbs up para o Lucas - o melhor personagem, espero que ele descanse depois de ter carregado todo mundo nas costas. Recomendo    … Expand

    Really really good game. Excellent gameplay, characters, script. Story is a little out there, but not a problem.
    Ignore the haters; this is a really fun survival game and I look forward to playing sequel now.

Furthermore, you constantly feel that all your actions are scripted, so you can only do whatever is expected at any time. Finally, dubbing it to French and German is ok, but not dubbing it to Spanish, with far more speakers around the world, seems to be an ilogic decision. One more among many.… Expand

    I can’t recall how I heard about this game, but I’m certainly glad I did. The story for the game and utilization of environmental elements is definitely unique. The characters are memorable, and were easy to grow an emotion attachment to. The only downside of the game for me was the emphasis on stealth. Stealth has never been my strongpoint when it comes to gaming.

    Finally went back and finished the game. I really enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to playing the sequel much more now. I'm only giving this one a 7 because the controls are a little wonky, the animations and lip sync voices don't line up well, and the worst of all is the brain dead AI. The stealth in the game is a joke.

    All the **** about the Middle Ages is present in this game. Hellish vision of a world that never existed. Excessive and without intelligence.

    There’s a lot lifted from other games in A Plague Tale, but somehow there’s nothing cynical about it. This is a full-hearted reach for the big time of AAA storytelling that succeeds in the most important departments, thanks to its sparkling polish and subtle characterisation. It’s one of a handful of games for which I could tell you the personality traits and motivations of not just the protagonists, but four or five secondary characters. Consider this review a carrier: Asobo Studio is a name that’s going to spread.

    Aside from the basic gameplay and a few rough edges, A Plague Tale: Innocence tells an incredibly gripping story about a couple of kids in the most grim circumstances imaginable. It nails the horrifying setting with standout visuals and a thick atmosphere that is worth experiencing at least once. If you're looking for the next great story to play through, A Plague Tale is definitely it.

    I thoroughly enjoyed A Plague Tale: Innocence from start to finish and cannot fault this title at all. While the gameplay is fluid that is accompanied by excellent graphics and audio, where A Plague Tale – Innocence shines is with its characters and the way it tells their story. So if you’re upset at how Game of Thrones ended and need a story that is told correctly, A Plague Tale – Innocence does that flawlessly.
