    I'm not a particularly big fan of the gameplay and i wish the ending wasn't so sequel hinty but this game was surprisingly great lots of great set pieces and a good story. 89/100

Gameplay is linear. It mainly consists of going from Point A to Point B, but you can explore to find hidden collectibles. There are plenty of puzzles and stealth moments. This is very much a linear story, with puzzle, stealth and light combat elements, with the disgusting but enjoyable rat swarms providing many varied and fun gameplay sections. The world, scenery and graphics are all beautifully conceptualized, engrossing me deeply into the incredible story. I hope more people get to experience and enjoy this absolute gem and thank the developers for making such an amazing game like this. 9/10… Expand

    This game is a story telling masterpiece. A mostly linear game with realistic stealth and combat mechanics. The acting is top notch. The settings are beautiful. The game never disappoints and has you engrossed and striving to see what is next.

Requiem, the sequel has an enormous potential since the game is already great and has a huge space for improvements. Less scripted gameplay and more freedom to the player as well as polished controls and it can be what "The LastA Plague Tale: Innocence is a nice story-driven game, and overall a solid alternative to "The Last of Us".     Excellent game. Very atmospheric, great music, great storytelling, beautiful and olays well. Highly recommend it if you’re into story-based adventure games. Not for the faint if heart though, its brutal (both in terms of violence and theme).

    One of the best games of 2019. Story-driven with a clear scope, good choice of period. Nicely designed, linear levels. The gameplay mechanics with the rats is awesome - it's sometimes challenging, but not unbeatable. Could have been better optimized for the PS4 Pro.

    It's hard to assess this game because considering it's a AAA game it's 6 out of 10. But Considering it's AA game it's 8 out of 10. So 7 out of 10 is something in the middle.

    In two words game is worth to be played. Plot is not bad, stealth is good, combat system is quite poor but ok for AA game. Locations are very unique. And of course rats. Rats are awesome here.     When I saw a work in progress demo of this game in 2017 or 2018 i was rather impressed. The simplicity of the gameplay looked satisfying, and the atmosphere of rat swarms, large armored knights and Ominous lighting left a great impression on me. But now I've played the game i realize that that demo was the best part of the game, as the rest of the game never really reaches that level ofWhen I saw a work in progress demo of this game in 2017 or 2018 i was rather impressed. But now I've played the game i realize that that demo was the best part of the game, as the rest of the game never really reaches that level of quality.

    The game is a third-person action/puzzle game, relying on sound and lighting to create tension and a lingering feeling of danger. As a character you are always vulnerable, and rely on tactical displacement to get past the danger. You have several tools, weapons and a little brother that has the plague or something. And that's the game.

    While the way the story is told is pretty good, i find the story itself to be rather shallow, predictable and uninteresting. The fact that the gameplay of dodging patrols, creating fire and causing distractions is very repetitive doesn't help either. The best part of the game is the level when you cross a Battlefield. Apart from that level all the other ones don't feel distinctive or interesting.

    I had hopes that this game would be entertaining in its own right as many people praised it. But having played it myself, i don't see it. It is a passable game that is just to repetitive for my taste. I give this game a 6/10.    … Expand

    Nothing to said about gameplay - monotonous and typical stealth with the main game's feature - ratsfirebraizers and theirs mixing. To the finale of gmaeit is becomes too boring even with a lot of different variation.

    Crafting and collective are good in this game and something reminiscent of The Last of Us.

The visuals are beautifully colored, but the vibrant colors do not ruin the dark mood of the story at all. However, it may be too linear sometimes because some puzzles are clearly intended to be solved in one exact way without room for creative experimentation.
    The gameplay mainly consists of sneaking and fleeing past the enemies. At times, it can be satisfying to escape without detection. Other times, it feels like the game is just playing itself because the path forward is pretty obvious.
    The game establishes really strong characters. Each one is distinct from each other and clear with their intentions.
    It does not have much "replay value," unfortunately. Therefore, I suggest you should take your time and really enjoy your first playthrough. Subsequent playthroughs feel like a long trudge through sticky mud.
    A couple minor issues include: allies getting in your way and some unnatural dialogue that seemed out of place.    … Expand

    A really big surprise. Story is awesome. Gameplay is innovating, puzzling and refreshing during all the game. Characters are impressive in the story telling. A must play.

    Un juego casi perfecto! Con una historia ambientada en una época que muy pocas veces vemos en los juegos, como lo es la época de la inquisición y toda la edad obscura medieval, solo cae en lo típico, inteligencia artificial algo pobre, pero en todo lo demás, parece un juego AAA.

    The unique and attractive gameplay, variety and fun of the game are its strengths.
    It has an excellent story that keeps the audience engaged.
    The game environment is very beautiful. Although it has small technical problems.
    I strongly recommend it.

    Any labels heard of this game being a "Gothic Horror" is just misleading. It's another action/adventure power fantasy where the game asks the player to reflect on disturbing imagery and actions. Broadly speaking, the player engages in a immense amount of violence, some of which the protagonist is horrified by. Though a great deal of historical context is hidden behind collectable objects that the player is forced to find by themselves. By the end of the game I have only found half of the game's collectibles. Meaning that I missed out on learning 50% of the provided learning material concerning the historical time period. It's a awful reminder that video games are a unnuanced art medium for learning history.    … Expand

    Really good art and word building, engaging story. Trial and error stealth gameplay with some action sections. Controls feel slow and not precise; aiming is really buggy. The cart mission is just an insult because of its insane difficulty due to the aiming bugs and wormhole arrows, almost uninstalled the game (note that this happens just before you get to the final boss, how convenient).Really good art and word building, engaging story.     This game remember me the firts time I play the las of uf... when you are playing you feel the sensation of carring a child behind you. The atmosfere, the music..this game deserve to be in your game colection.

    Game has full potential to become one of the best series in gaming. The only negative side would be Hugo, the little brother, who is always by your side and if left alone starts screaming. He does get a power by the end of the game but it comes too late. Other than that, if you like games like the FIRST The Last Of Us or Thief series, this game is a MUST.     There’s a lot lifted from other games in A Plague Tale, but somehow there’s nothing cynical about it. This is a full-hearted reach for the big time of AAA storytelling that succeeds in the most important departments, thanks to its sparkling polish and subtle characterisation. It’s one of a handful of games for which I could tell you the personality traits and motivations of not just the protagonists, but four or five secondary characters. Consider this review a carrier: Asobo Studio is a name that’s going to spread.

    Aside from the basic gameplay and a few rough edges, A Plague Tale: Innocence tells an incredibly gripping story about a couple of kids in the most grim circumstances imaginable. It nails the horrifying setting with standout visuals and a thick atmosphere that is worth experiencing at least once. If you're looking for the next great story to play through, A Plague Tale is definitely it.

    I thoroughly enjoyed A Plague Tale: Innocence from start to finish and cannot fault this title at all. While the gameplay is fluid that is accompanied by excellent graphics and audio, where A Plague Tale – Innocence shines is with its characters and the way it tells their story. So if you’re upset at how Game of Thrones ended and need a story that is told correctly, A Plague Tale – Innocence does that flawlessly.
