Aug 13, 2023A solid game with an emotional story, interesting gameplay mechanics that get old quickly and fun boss fights.

Dec 7, 2022A Plague Tale: Innocence offers an adventure supported by an original scenario, with gameplay that blends action, adventure and stealth phases. Follow our protagonists Amicia and her little brother Hugo, both orphans and on the run from the terrifying Inquisition.

Nov 11, 2022Finally went back and finished the game. I really enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to playing the sequel much more now. I'm only giving this one a 7 because the controls are a little wonky, the animations and lip sync voices don't line up well, and the worst of all is the brain dead AI. The stealth in the game is a joke.

Sep 16, 2022Overrated. This game is basically a waling simulator where you have no choice how to play it

Sep 27, 2021It tries to be a "The Last of Us" clone, but fails miserably in the combat department.

Aug 2, 2021Great game, beautiful story and scenery throughout, with very likeable characters. The only real negatives is that it’s a very short game, and the aiming system can be frustrating at times, but well worth a play through.
-
Jul 18, 2021I think t it's lacking in every aspect, the plot, gameplay, graphics and environment design.
-
Jul 18, 2021A decent indie game with some nice mechanics that are sometimes let down by arbitrary limitations and glitchy controls. Story has some real highlights and some extremely tedious slogs. I'd probably try a sequel if it didn't have Hugo's whine.
-
Jul 6, 2021I expected nothing, and this did not disappoint. It's not amazing by any stretch, game play is a bit dated by babysitting companion AI, still better than most AAA garbage these days.

Feb 1, 2021For once I’m agreeing more with the critics. It was definitely a fun game with good story, but it wasn’t amazing.
Little variations in combat, and I noticed the game was a bit glitchy at times.
It truly has potential though, if they ever choose to make a similar game.
Story: 8/10.
Gameplay: 6/10.
Graphics: 7/10. -
Jan 26, 2021A simple tale aimed at a younger audience / children I guess. Decent enough gameplay, though basic, as it takes you through the story, graphics are ok, nothing special though. Limited in scope, and a short story. Glad I only paid £10 for it, not worth much more imo.

Sep 18, 2019There’s a lot lifted from other games in A Plague Tale, but somehow there’s nothing cynical about it. This is a full-hearted reach for the big time of AAA storytelling that succeeds in the most important departments, thanks to its sparkling polish and subtle characterisation. It’s one of a handful of games for which I could tell you the personality traits and motivations of not just the protagonists, but four or five secondary characters. Consider this review a carrier: Asobo Studio is a name that’s going to spread.

Sep 12, 2019Aside from the basic gameplay and a few rough edges, A Plague Tale: Innocence tells an incredibly gripping story about a couple of kids in the most grim circumstances imaginable. It nails the horrifying setting with standout visuals and a thick atmosphere that is worth experiencing at least once. If you're looking for the next great story to play through, A Plague Tale is definitely it.

Jun 4, 2019I thoroughly enjoyed A Plague Tale: Innocence from start to finish and cannot fault this title at all. While the gameplay is fluid that is accompanied by excellent graphics and audio, where A Plague Tale – Innocence shines is with its characters and the way it tells their story. So if you’re upset at how Game of Thrones ended and need a story that is told correctly, A Plague Tale – Innocence does that flawlessly.
