    Can't rate it anything below a straight A. It feels great, it's great fun to play with friends and there's a vast amount of content. It's currently the most played game in my PS3's game collection, and the smooth local multiplayer make this an incredibly good game. In terms of value to quality it really shines as well.     Wow, this is a great game, I love it, I haven't played the PC version whatsoever, but, I heard this has more content, and I am happy, because that means I have no reason to get the PC version, which is awesome!

    I bought this game at 7pm.
    10 minutes later, it was already 1:30 am.
    And what is interesting about it is that I don't even like Minecraft.
    If you have problems placing blocks, just press R3 and you'll have a better tuned cursor.
    The learning curve is great, specially with all guides available.

    one of my favorite games on PS3! The controls are awkward at first but then you have a hit in the game. These is over 100 items in the game, which is allot but this game is very fun. Good Job 505 Games and Re-Logic.

    Even on PC this game is fantastic and the control are a little bit more confusing on console this game is still freaking fantastic. Terraria is the best game I've every played so far with it's minecraft like theme. This game is a must buy, hopefully they do not update the game with useless updates that ruin the game like many other games out there.

    You're better off buying the PC version honestly, the ps3 version's controls are hard to get used to. Although I would rate the PC game a ten out of ten, I'm not feelin' what 505 games did to the console port. If you can't get terraria on the computer, then this will do as a close second. If you're a PC terraria fan, there are annoying differences that take a while to get used to and doYou're better off buying the PC version honestly, the ps3 version's controls are hard to get used to. Although I would rate the PC game a ten out of ten, I'm not feelin' what 505 games did to the console port. If you can't get terraria on the computer, then this will do as a close second. If you're a PC terraria fan, there are annoying differences that take a while to get used to and do nothing to improve the game. (ie: lots and lots of menus as opposed to the single inventory +crafting screen) I haven't gotten to the new end content yet, so I can't judge that, but it's hard to go from terraria on PC which is so perfectly designed, to terraria on ps3 which is very awkward feeling.… Expand

    To me this is just as good as the pc version. The controls and the menus take seconds to get to use to and they shouldn't be a problem once you really start to play.I have not go to the new content yet but its probably great. One suggestion to everyone new or not is to play the tutorial it helps with everything.

    I gave it a 9 only because I am a jerk about a full-on 10. Still, this is one of the best sandbox games I've played. Tons of fun playing on my own, tons of fun playing with the kids. Love it!

    I love this game. Spent dozens of hours on it already. I had not heard of it until coming by it on the psn store. Its very much like an epic NES game. The worlds are HUGE and there are tons of stuff to find and experiment with. Sort of has a Rygar/Kid Chameleon meets Minecraft vibe to it. Be warned though, if you plan on playing this with a buddy online, it has some major connection issuesI love this game. Spent dozens of hours on it already.     This game is amazingly deep, considering there is no story. The controls are tough to learn but after an hour you'll be an expert. The tutorial is fantastic and for newbies it is critical. I will admit that I'm not a fan of 8-bit graphics and I've never played minecraft so I can't make comparisons but I do enjoy this game.     Sure I love this game, I got it on steam also and now they made it for ps3 aswell but I got to say that the controlls are TERRIBLE! It's a pain in the ass to try to place a box in a speciall place even if you aim at it the box just wont fit... unless I just and press the button in just when i'm about to hit the ground.
    Everythings good but the controlls!

    This game initially sucked me and my cousin in with its constructive and role playing elements but soon became quite stale. Here are some of the things that bug me:

    This game is really buggy and the devs are doing nothing to fix it. Online multiplayer does not work. You can never build anything because there are always mobs attacking.     Very bad camera, hurts my eyes and sometimes randomly zooms in/out in splitscreen.
    Hardmode bosses are not hard but impossible! Even with the best gear, potions, tactics, and friends you will never kill them and get cooler gear.
    Console version addons are nothing special.
    Hard to play with PS3 controllers (you can tell that this was a pc port).    … Expand

    I was very skeptical about one of my favorite pc games coming to console. I wasn't sure how the would make it work. I'm very happy to say that in many ways this version is better than the pc version. But the pc version is still better in many ways as well. For example you get an incredibly useful world map, new armor, weapons, pets and a new boss.     One of the most addicting games i have ever played. Boss after boss, things after things....It seems like the game is going to end, but they always throw something new into the fix. Almost 150 different weapons you can use not including the other 1000 items you can find, collect, and craft with to make even more items.(lightsaber) They even include Cloud's sword in the game!!!     I just don't find any important features missing , i don't find any negatives , the game might have bugs but they will be removed . Terraria is a game you should stick and explore instead of quitting it because you haven't learned how to play yet , press the respawn button and get back there !!     I really love this game.It has new innovative ideas and is actually fun and challenging.Exploring the world in terraria is a truly fun experience.The reason it gets an 8 is because the console versions have a disadvantage. especially the "old gen" console ones.new updates aren't added and lots of new content is missing.besides that this game is amazing.

    Bad controls but better than mobile. If you have a pc use that instead. It's not a bad game, as well as slightly addictive and extremely fun to play once you get the hang of it, but if you have an old controller then give it a pass. It also does take about as much time to get the best experience from it as an average skyrim playthrough.

    A lot of games tried to copy Minecraft – or at least participate from its' success. But this two-dimensional take on the well known formula is the only game that is able to step out of the shadow of the indie phenomenon that inspired it. It leads you into a unique world full of creative magic and translates well onto consoles thanks to the very good pad controls.
