Raven Software's deft handling of the oft-tricky notion of time travel disrupting the workings of the world is very clever. It's clever enough that, as you stand poised to make one of three ending-altering decisions at Singularity's calamitous finale, you're really not sure which choice to make. What Singularity is is a AAA title masked behind a lack of commercialism, which is completely out of style for Activision, and not nearly enough time to polish the game. With another two-three months, Singularity could probably have been the best shooter of the year.

Singularity arrived with very little fanfare, which is a shame because this is a very good game. I highly recommend Singularity to fans of FPS games and great science fiction stories.

It may not be the most innovative shooter to come along this year, but it certainly is one of the best put together shooters of the year and a definite recommendation to any shooter fan.

While I can't say that Singularity is chock full of new ideas, the few it brings to the table are worth the price of admission.

A nice working mix of puzzles and action, with great rhythm and a varied formula. By focusing on the core themes of the first person shooter experience, Singularity is an excellent a quite surprising game.

While it's by no means a perfect game, gamers looking for great shooter experience with an enjoyable story and enthralling world need not look further.

The multiplayer experience is a good time – and quite different than single-player (most time powers have been excised) – but it doesn't have any depth or a progression for players to follow. At the most, it's a fun distraction. The single-player game, however, should not be missed.

Some will deem this an instant classic. Blasting heads clean off shoulders has never been so much fun.

Singularity is a pleasant surprise. It could have been an average first person shooter game, but it has turned out to be a great game, with gameplay and visuals that deserve praise.

It's a solid shooter with a Lost-like storyline. Three different endings are cool, but the characters aren't that great. Unfortunately, the game is over after about eight or nine hours.

You'll have a great time with the single-player campaign and the fairly limited, but entertaining, multiplayer component of Singularity is just icing on the cake.

A game well worth playing. It's an entertaining experience with nicely implemented gameplay elements, many of which will make you grin at the impossible power with which you are bestowed.

Some repetitive puzzle design and a half-baked multiplayer component still aren't enough to completely tarnish Singularity, however. Beneath its flawed exterior lies a fine shooter that experiments with time manipulation more aptly than any game since Braid.

The action is solid and the story is interesting enough to make Singularity worth checking out.

Singularity was a pleasant surprise. It's a solid FPS where the action is constant. But in addition, can provide enormous fun mostly due to the changing technology of the time and materials.

Raven doesn't try any experiments an delivers a solid first person shooter.

This entertaining and varied sci-fi shooter doesn't break new ground; it's just a bunch of goofy, gory fun.

A surprisingly good and solid FPS from Raven Software. Time travels and manipulations, Russian setting, tons of bullets and a little touch of horror make Singularity an entertaining trip... maybe just a little too short!

Singularity is a solid SP-Shooter with some technical issues and many good ideas that haven't been pushed to their limits. It's still worth your time if you're in search for a decent story and some nice new gameplay-elements, but definitely not something anyone HAS to own.

If you are a fan of first-person shooters, Singularity is worth look.

Singularity is an entertaining FPS, full of variety till the end credits. It lacks some personality and solid graphics, but if you like the genre, this game won't let you down.

Singularity is better then the average shooter and has a lot of fun to offer. Thanks to a decent singleplayer campaign and a fine multiplayer, you won't regret spending your time on this game.

Let's hope that Raven Software can put some creativity together and bring forth more of an expansive multiplayer for a possible sequel or download; I would hate to see such potential be forgotten and aged to dust.

Overall, despite the lack of subtitles and some underwhelming uses for the TMD on the puzzle side of things, I still found myself really enjoying Singularity's campaign.

It looks good, plays great, has an above average story, but never manages to be better than the game(s) that inspired it.

The innovative time-altering gameplay falls a wee bit short of our expectations and there aren't any outstanding parts throughout the rest of the game either. But Raven Software know their trade and although their new game is lacking in absolute blasts, Singularity makes up for a nice pastime and satisfies with its plain good old-school gameplay.

Singularity is a game with a few great elements, but also a game with another side. The graphics are a bit poor, but the voice-acting is great. The use of the Time Manipulation Device in the singleplayer is one of the best elements in the game and that counts also for the story and the many moments that you will like in this game. Not a bad game and not a very good game, so it's just a nice title.

While the game is, at times, almost a celebration of mediocrity, it manages to entertain and amuse just enough to make it a fairly enjoyable experience.
