    Yes, its not the best looking game graphics-wise, that pretty undeniable. But with the latest patch and with most of the gameplay still being as fun as next-gen versions, this game is while not really the best on the ps3 is still not atrociously bad as some say it is.

    The worst port I've ever seen in my life, did not expect the quality of the XBOX One or PS4 but as the game was released is unplayable. At the end of the generation we all know the potential of video games, and can realize in SoW for PS3 is a game that is far from being finalized and is still being sold. Do not buy, spend far from it.

    This was utterly abysmal. Never in my life have I seen a port handled this poorly; and I've played Dark souls on PC. Where do I start?
    - Graphics: Graphics were stilted, with orcs who moved their mouths like goddamn muppets and hair more wooden than Pinocchio's. Textures would take ages to render, and pop in and out almost at random.
    - Sound: The sound skipped constantly, and sometimes    This was utterly abysmal. Never in my life have I seen a port handled this poorly; and I've played Dark souls on PC. Where do I start?

    - Sound: The sound skipped constantly, and sometimes cut out entirely. Worse yet, occasionally it would grind to a literally screeching halt as I was treated to screaming static. That was a treat at 2 in the morning.
    - Framerate: The game lags like Crysis 3 on Windows 93. This is inexcusable for a professional company.
    - Nemesis system: Literally the game's primary selling point, the core of all the marketing was practically gutted for the current-gen version of the game.
    Don't buy this game. For the love of all that is holy; it froze up twice. Games don't freeze anymore, not unless you've been modding the crap out of them; we're past that, we're better than that. Apparently, freaking WB and Monolith didn't get the memo.
    Pro Tip, guys: If you're not going to port a game right, don't port it at all. For god's sake this was literally unplayable. -1/10    … Expand

    Terrible. Unplayable. Pretty sure Jack and Daxter on PS2 had better graphics than this game. I feel so ripped off. Do not buy for PS3 .

    SOM is a complete disaster. Muddy low-res textures that pop in and out at random, frequent stops in the game to load despite having to install it onto your hard-drive, choppy frame rate and sound/music skips, the list goes on...

    This game isn't even worthy of being considered a PS2 game, much less PS3. WB should be ashamed of asking for the full $60 price tag for this "Alpha" version.

Then when the low frame rate gave me a disadvantage against a certain enemy type because I couldn't dodge well enough, and when the sound came to a very literal screeching death, I had to throw in the towel. These problems are not limitation of the system - I've seen better looking open world games on PS3 and sound problems like this are problems that shouldn't exist ever in a purchased game - but simply due to laziness on the developer's part. I very much want to play this game, but I have been so offended by the audacity to release and charge consumers full price for this p.o.s. that I likely won't buy a working version for a different system.… Expand

    This game isn't even finished! The Uurks don't even open their mouths when they talk and the graphics look like somebody went around and smeared mud on everything. Within 20 minutes of starting the game A glitch occurred where all I could hear was a woman breathing loudly no matter what I was doing.     Shadow of Mordor for PS3 should, more appropriately, be named Shadow of the Next-Gen version. I have never been more disappointed with a game as I am with Shadow of Mordor. The game’s nemesis system has been reduced to a point where it’s not even worth playing, and the game crashed three times within my first two hours of playing it.     I can't speak for those that bought the game early, but I got this for Christmas. With patch 1.2, the game seems pretty stable and the graphics are exactly what I would expect for a PS3. The Nemesis system seems fully intact to me, the gameplay is rock-solid and tons of fun. Load screens are long, no doubt, but its bearable. I'm thoroughly enjoying the game - especially the Nemesis system,I can't speak for those that bought the game early, but I got this for Christmas. Of course, it's completely different than Batman. You can a bow and you behead and dismember Orcs. They added their own pretty clever special moves. There is one certain special move with the bow that is like nothing I've ever done in a video game.

    If it wasn't for the loading time and the fact that the game has no difficulty setting (or New Game Plus), I would have given it a 10. Maybe they will release a patch and I will change this review.    … Expand

I've been playing games for over 20 years and very rarely do i use the term barely playable. This is one of the times I use it.     A disgrace for the ps3!!! that's all i can say! it could & should have been better in all aspects from Framerates to some more polished graphics. I would like to send a message to those developpers purposely making **** game versions on the ps3,,, GO & LEARN FROM ubisoft !!!!!!!!!! atleast farcry 4 & assasins creed rogue were both worth for spending some quids. thanks

This was to get more attention on ps4/xbox one. The system is nearly identical with the exception of having a couple less warchief character models (big whoop). The game accomplishes the same thing it does on ps4/xbox one. Dont let the bad video uploads, or snobbish cry of those deceived by lighting parlor tricks detour you away from a still great gaming experience.     Yes, Textures are for sure lacking for the most part. But, don't get things twisted...some are pretty well done. While honestly though, others look like some third party, "low budget", "Launch Title" technology for the ~ahem~ PS*2

    Replayability:10/10 ~ Wow, The Nemesis System! IGN, EGM, even PSM said "PS4 and XboxOne are only next-gen when paired with these kinds of systems... Nemesis being the first and only so far!" "You can play through as many times as you want and LITERALLY never repeat the same experience!" Nemesis AI is being reported at a somewhat reduced capability. The majority of estimates place the Nemesis System onPS3 @ 70-80%. That being considered, it is still revolutionary!

    Overall:Really good, fun game! if you like Assassin Creed, Batman: Arkham games, even fallout.....this is the perfect blend of those!

    Don't listen to negative hype! 10 hours gameplay = one glitch. If you been waiting on this, but don't have PS4/xbox1 yet, this game is WELL WORTH IT!    … Expand

    Completely unplayable. This is a prime example of a pure cash-grab. This should never have been released. After playing only 5 minutes and then waiting almost 10 minutes for a load screen that never did load anything I backed out and realized I had been suckered.
    Don't get suckered, stay way from this game.

    I'm not kidding, this port shows a serious lack of polish. The kicker is that they delayed THIS version to avoid these issues. There should be a recall for this port, because I seriously doubt they will pay any mind to last gen players and send a patch.
    I really think legal action can be done here, as this product is unfinished and unplayable for most. I truly can't see someone playing something like this for long periods of time. It's that bad. Get a PS4 or Xbox One copy if possible. The difference is night and day! I see users giving this port a 10. Not on ANY planet is this port a 10, no matter how well you can ignore its flaws.    … Expand
