I purposely waited for this release as I had a feeling that netherealm would give this game the MK9 Komplete edition treatment but only buy this if you haven't already got the standard copy of Injustice.

I never played the regular Injustice, but this was SO much fun with friends. It's another button mashing game, which is great if you're the new person to the game, because you'll still have a chance against your friends that play this every week. It's Mortal Kombat with superheroes, so I don't know what's not great about it. Other than the lack of story and adventure, but you should knowI never played the regular Injustice, but this was SO much fun with friends. Injustice isn't nearly as good as 2011's Mortal Kombat. But it's better than Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. But it's better than Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Ed Boon and his team of developers have made an over-the-top fighting game that perfectly captures the aesthetic of epic superhero battles. One of the game's strengths is that each fighter feels different from the rest. It's also highly accessible with easy-to-learn controls and combos. And while the game's lack of combat depth keeps it from being great, it's still a lot of fun. It also contains plenty of unlockable content and a good story mode.

The Ultimate Edition includes all DLC which means you get an additional 6 fighters, 30 new skins and over 60 new character-specific challenges. The skins are recreations pulled from classic storylines as well as the New 52, "Man of Steel" and TV's "Arrow". Visually, the game looks terrific with outstanding CGI character entrances. The Super Moves are also spectacular, though they do get repetitive. "Injustice" ultimately plays like fan service. It's fast and fun, but will be too easy for those who like more technical fighting games. I'd rate the Ultimate Edition with an 8.3 out of 10.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is a great buy if, and only if, you missed the original release. That’s great for a very small portion of the gaming community, but is a total pass for the rest of us.
