Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is a great buy if, and only if, you missed the original release. That’s great for a very small portion of the gaming community, but is a total pass for the rest of us.

It's another button mashing game, which is great if you're the new person to the game, because you'll still have a chance against your friends that play this every week. It's Mortal Kombat with superheroes, so I don't know what's not great about it. Other than the lack of story and adventure, but you should know that going into this game. Expand

Injustice isn't nearly as good as 2011's Mortal Kombat. But it's better than Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Ed Boon and his team of developersInjustice isn't nearly as good as 2011's Mortal Kombat. But it's better than Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Ed Boon and his team of developers have made an over-the-top fighting game that perfectly captures the aesthetic of epic superhero battles. One of the game's strengths is that each fighter feels different from the rest. It's also highly accessible with easy-to-learn controls and combos. And while the game's lack of combat depth keeps it from being great, it's still a lot of fun. It also contains plenty of unlockable content and a good story mode.

The Ultimate Edition includes all DLC which means you get an additional 6 fighters, 30 new skins and over 60 new character-specific challenges. The skins are recreations pulled from classic storylines as well as the New 52, "Man of Steel" and TV's "Arrow". Visually, the game looks terrific with outstanding CGI character entrances. The Super Moves are also spectacular, though they do get repetitive. "Injustice" ultimately plays like fan service. It's fast and fun, but will be too easy for those who like more technical fighting games. I'd rate the Ultimate Edition with an 8.3 out of 10.

I think Mortal Kombat 9 is better, but this one is still fun. I would not have paid $60 for it at all. DLC is pretty cool though-lots of costumes. Opinion- save your money for something else, unless you're a die-hard DC fan.

Considering that you can easily find the original for less than $20 and that the online play is all but totally dead due to NetherRealm'sConsidering that you can easily find the original for less than $20 and that the online play is all but totally dead due to NetherRealm's mostly incompetent online (with a staggering amount of disconnects, input issues, poor matchmaking, and overall slowness), the fact that you can simply pick that up and get any DLC you find necessary is sort of hard to justify a $60 all-inclusive price tag. Unless you absolutely must have every single bit of DLC released (which, really, isn't that much, and even if you got every single DLC character, you're still only paying about $25 extra for a total of $45 for six new ones that are mostly incomplete and made only for online--not something for which I really care) and somehow missed *all of it* the first time around, even if you're a new player, it's still just not enough. Really, it's still a dead online game, with almost exclusively online-focused DLC, none of which is necessary to enjoy the experience. If this were $40, it might be more excusable, but at a full-price $60 without original content, and when the original is a third of that...Well, do the math. Definitely not recommended simply for the stupidly high price tag, and for the fact that the DLC just was never all that great--which doesn't even matter, because you get to pick-and-choose for *FAR* less than what they're asking. Just stupid. Expand
