    For Dragon Ball fans, there is plenty to love about Xenoverse. I loved the story and character creation, and the loot and mission systems made playing through a joy that bordered on a compulsion. All those aspects add up to the best Dragon Ball game ever made, but the 3D fighting and movement knock the game down just enough to set it squarely behind Super Dragon Ball Z as my favorite game based on my favorite franchise.

    Dragon Ball Xenoverse has some of the worst design decisions ever embedded into a videogame. There are no menus, the story mode's difficulty is all over the place, and the game's best aspect, creating characters, is locked behind hours and hours of frustrating play. It certainly has its moments and the core fighting mechanics are great, but the game falls flat in too many other areas to be standout title.

    Incredible. The best DBZ fighting game I've ever played. Better than Tenkaichi 3 or Budokai 3.

    Awesome game that is much better than anything that came out after 2005. Cool levelling up system which lets you level up to your own playAwesome game that is much better than anything that came out after 2005. Cool levelling up system which lets you level up to your own play style, customization is massive, clothes, supers, ultimates, evasive moves, z souls.. its all here. New online features which let you team up with 1 or 2 other people to go on quests are a nice addition. there are also player battles and world tournament which you can do offline or online, but online is a much better experience. The main story is pretty good, its the original DBZ sagas but with a 'What If' theme. so what if freiza killed everyone, or what there were 3 Majin Buus. its a good twist which puts you in the boots of a time patroller, your role is to fix these broken timelines and save the Z Warriors and Earth.
    Overall a fun DBZ game that ive been waiting ages for. I still cant believe ultimate tenkaichi even exists. Thank god for Xenoverse 10/10    … Expand

If you're new to the series or any Dragon Ball Z games, don't start here with this one. Brake yourself into the series with a copy of Budokai Tenkaichi for the PS2 instead in my opinion,

    But as a fan, so far I am loving the game. The character customisation and leveling up system are awesome additions to the series and add a level of personalisation to the series that Dragon Ball has never really offered before.

    The cell shaded graphics are very pretty and appealing, but my only performance issue is the lag that sometimes can ensue during big battles. Other than that, I can't wait to play more and level up my Saiyan.    … Expand
