Xcelent game and a great add on in the lords of shadow franchise, great history explain8ng everything about the belmont family and relationship against evil dracula, ideal for waiting until los 2 comes away, the only fails i see were the lazy controls and i think it would be a more deep port, with improved textures and light effects, not just an hd minimun upgrade

Very nice game, I was a little bit afraid knowing that it was ported from the 3DS, but they did a very good job to make it in HD and actually feel like a PSN game (for 15€/$, I wasn't expecting more), the game offers a great story that feels the gap between Lords of Shadow 1 & 2, in facts I would even say that it's mandatory to play it before the 2 if you really want to understand theVery nice game, I was a little bit afraid knowing that it was ported from the 3DS, but they did a very good job to make it in HD and actually feel like a PSN game (for 15€/$, I wasn't expecting more), the game offers a great story that feels the gap between Lords of Shadow 1 & 2, in facts I would even say that it's mandatory to play it before the 2 if you really want to understand the whole story.
Now about the gameplay, for this episode they decided to go back at the roots of the saga with a 2D view that will please the old fans of the franchise, its combat system works just fine although it could be better (not a lot of combo, the powers and items weren't very fun to use), also some sequences offers some welcomed variety to the game.
Last but not least, it took me about 10 hours to finish the game in hard mode and you can add some replay value (with a new difficulty, the boss rush mode and the hunt for secrets), very good for the price.
To sum up, a very fun game all the way through , but not a gem, and a must have for the Lords Of Shadow aficionados.

No, it's not "Symphony of the Night", but it might be the most fun you can have for $15.00. I found
the boss fights surprisingly varied, strategic, and CHALLENGING. Platforming is a joy: precise and
demanding yet never unfair. You'll enjoy exploring well-designed levels suffused with an eerie,
suspenseful atmosphere. With the nav. guide off, there's a greater sense of discovery.

Why the hell does this game have such a low rating?
The game is a great addition to the fantastic Lords of Shadow, a beautiful story of Dracula and the Belmont family, the cutscenes are very well done despite dubbing and dialogues are very bad, fluid and fun gameplay and 2D perspective and elements Platform remind you of the classic Castlevania, challenging, fun and epic

Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD, был первым взломанным замком в этот замок загадок и тайн связанных с этой величайшей серией игр, который меня ни сколько не разочаровал

_Castlevania needs no introduction, for most players it is a great gaming franchise, but the unrepresented Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD video game is not a masterpiece of metroidvania and castelroid, no, it is magnificent in its own way, in my humble opinion. After all, not everyone can afford to play the role of four main characters at a time, capture each era, endow the protagonists with an exclusive character, feelings, techniques and reboot the Castlevania universe. A huge plus on this canvas of gothic and grotesque, in addition to the castle and the world of dark fantasy, are the bosses, their destruction and of course the design. How the adventure itself is filled with danger, puzzles both mental and plot, which are not so easy to get rid of.

"emphasis on fragmented exploration and shallow advancement" - IGN's Colin Moriarty

_for a video game layman like me, Castlevania gives nothing on top of the information already available, to find out that someone is someone's son and his revenge will be long, unpredictable, good! I am ready, but no more, to sit and figure it out. Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD, was the first lock-picked into this castle of mysteries and mysteries associated with this greatest series of games, which did not disappoint me at all

Despite continuing the Lords of Shadow story, this game feels like Castlevania. The interconnectivity of every level, the new items allowing you to get to new areas, is exactly Castlevania. Although the game can look a little rough around the edges, it's still a thoroughly worthy addition to the blood-soaked legacy of Castlevania. [Jan 2014, p.94]

It fills up the gap between both Lords of Shadow games quite nicely and the HD-transition is well-done. Nevertheless, the game's a bit easy, the gameplay lacks depth and the story could have been a lot more engaging. It will keep Castlevania fans busy until Lords of Shadow 2 is released, which is the only reason we could come up with to recommend this.
