    The only saving grace for this call of duty was the campaign, which was great, but the multiplayer was my least favorite of the series that I played and survival did not hold up to zombies.

    this is an absolute rubbish console port for the pc. unfair multiplayer with no ranked dedis, bad graphics, no special pc abilities... infinity ward reprinted mw2 with a 3 on the end and activision is digging people's pockets for money. at least the singleplayer's not bad. campaign is crazy as always and spec ops is fun with friends

    THE GOOD: Kill Confirmed is an exciting new game mode that puts a great twist into your typical FPS deathmatch. The new killstreak packages are excellent and provide more options to the killstreak formula. ----------- THE BAD: Graphics and gameplay are overly too familiar. Infinity Ward played it a little too safe with this title. Other than Yuri's confession, the story is a bitTHE GOOD: Kill Confirmed is an exciting new game mode that puts a great twist into your typical FPS deathmatch. The new killstreak packages are excellent and provide more options to the killstreak formula. ----------- THE BAD: Graphics and gameplay are overly too familiar. Infinity Ward played it a little too safe with this title. Other than Yuri's confession, the story is a bit predictable, overdone and lacks substance. ------ THE UGLY: Quickscoping has returned, and it's going to ruin a lot of people's moods. The Type 95 is an extremely cheap burst fire weapon. Commando perk is gone (I can't stab people from a distance anymore *sadface*). --------- FINAL VERDICT: It's still fast and fun, but it honestly feels more like MW2.5. Infinity Ward will need to step up their game on their next COD project, or else Treyarch (whom are open to player feedback) will take them by surprise.… Expand

For starters the graphics look worse despite using the same engine. It's not as bad as Black Ops but definitely not as good looking as MW2. The missions are VERY samey throughout: just shoot people, move foward and occasionally hold the reload buttonIf this game had righted all the wrongs of MW2 it wouldn't be so bad. Or just follow NPCs in "stealth" missions that are just inferior versions of All Ghillied Up. The soundtrack is just plain dull. There are some cool sound effects during certain moments in the campaign but everything thing else sounds, again, dull, and unrealistic. The story is full of plot-holes AND less exciting than MW2, if that was even possible. The multiplayer fixes the issue of infinite grenade-launchers by making them borderline useless but yet has new annoying issues like Dead Man's Hand (if the Javeline glitch was a Deathstreak), unbalanced perks like Assassin and unbalanced weapons (everyone uses either the ACR or MP7 with Blindeye, Assassin and Stalker). There is a serious lack of variety of weapons in the campaign.

    Is there anything good about this game? Well, there IS a fair amount of content even if it does feel like a rehash of everything that's come before. The Spec Ops missions are fun, the DLC is pretty decent (but that shouldn't count). There are a couple of interesting locations, and some cool gadgets like the Hybrid Sight and Trophy System.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok, so back in 2011 before release, I was very hyped for the game. I checked the news every day for it. And when It came out, I got it. I played it and realized ive wasted 20 hours of my life on what could be not only the worst CoD ever, but one of the worst games in general, on par with Sonic 2006.

    Story: The campaign is one big hammer in the coffin for the CoD single player aspect due to how awful it is. It was only one big train wreck start to finish. There are no memeroable characters whatsoever in MW3. Even the returning ones like Soap and Price are reduced to generic clones and Soap took a major downfall in badassness due to **** story planning. The main protagonist is a terrible addition as Yuri is basically only an excuse for IW to not have you play as Soap or Price until the last level. The voice acting is bad and EVERY. SINGLE. Character sound like they all share the same voice actor. Soap gets killed of for no damn reason. There are more plot holes than swiss chesse. After 15 levels of Makarov and bad guys winning or escaping due to some asspull, the final level is a polished golden turd. While I do like PC speaking FOR ONCE because you play as Price, the level is a big mashup of random Michael Bay explosions, **** floors, random bizarre **** happining like asspulled nukecopters, and a stupid final fight which results in Yuri shooting Makarov 1000 times in the head before Makarov shooting Yuri to death so Price can kill Makarov in the most anti-climatic way possible. Not only that, but it ends there, providing ZERO after-ending and any fix in plot holes like what happened to Frost since he misteriously dissappears. Who wrote this? Helen Keller?

    Co-op/spec-ops: What? Do people play it?

    Graphics: Basically MW2 graphics with make up. The M4A1, however, looks uglier and resembles a gym member who never works his body or legs

    Authenticy: IW seems to have done ZERO research on armies and weapons. No IW, Delta Force dosent use M16's. And Russian soldiers dont use AK47's anymore

    Multiplayer: A big **** of unbalance, hackers and claustraphobic maps. The weapons and gear have zero balance so everything is a one hit kill from Type 95. This game is so easy to hack ive seen hacks on it regularly, Hell hacks have been freely given away like marijuana on several websites. Once I shot a god-moder 30 times with a UMP45. He ran at me with a knife. You can guess what happens next. Maps are **** small, smaller than Counter strike maps so IW can continue the dumb 6 vs 6 trend because they're **** and a bomber can kill off 75% of the map

    What I hate the most are the fans who praise this as the best game of all time like Ocarina of Time. It bares a closer resemelence to turds like Ride to hell: Retribution or Sonic 2006. Its not as low as Big Rigs because Big Rigs has zero gameplay. I find Nicolas Cage marathons more pleasurable.

    its a no buy. simply said, the game could easily put players in a state of claustrophobia with all of the close corner multiplayer maps. this is the worst of the call of duty's i've played. everything is bunched together on the map.

    On the plus side, Spec-Ops is back, allowing for additional split-screen/multiplayer fun.

    The critics will continue to praise this game tirelessly, but the regular gamers have said it all. I don't believe MW3 deserves a 0, but I can understand why that particular rating is so popular here.    … Expand

    Just an expensive mod for modern warfare 2. Multiplayer was atrocious but, the single player was alright. Survival was just a cheap rip off of zombies. Everything was extremely similar to modern warfare 2.

Your character gets shot a few times, gets stabbed, falls through a roof, gets attacked by dogs, but wait... Didn't this happen in the last game? Yes, it did. It's all the same. Adding a few new guns and perks doesn't make for a new experience online. The new Survival mode, which is an addition to the previous, and returning, Special Ops, is okay, but not nearly as good as Treyarch's "Zombie Mode", which this is attempting to replicate. It's a less then enjoyable experience, and you'd be better off getting Modern Warfare 2. Seriously, this game sucks.… Expand

    I think I've played a game that seems the exact same as this oh yeah MW2. Where to start with this pile of a mess. The singleplayer is bland. Multiplayer couldn't be worse and spec ops all together is not fun. And literally nothing different between MW2 and MW3. Not even textures on guns or death animations or sound design. And the graphics look like a late PS2 game.

    It's very sad, that people give a developer credit for lazy work. Half of the sounds, equipment, perks, guns, and only one new attachment are in the game. 80% of the killstreaks are the same. And you always the get the felling "I have done this before". Survival is sorry attempted at zombies and fails flat.

    MW3 is quite disappointing but for any COD fans is still worth playing. It does feel like it has been copy and pasted though and unfortunately gets boring quicker than previous titles in the series.

    This game deserves NO credit, it was Modern Warfare 2 with an add-on pack of maps. Everything was much better in MW2 than here. The level aesthetically is wonderful, but the re-spawn is atrocious, no game have I hated more than this, and it's not because of difficulty, this game was fundamentally broken. Then to top that, was lag, campers, terrible matchmaking, clan upon clan in TDM, itThis game deserves NO credit, it was Modern Warfare 2 with an add-on pack of maps.     The Call of Duty series I've always felt is extremely overrated... despite having some decent games (4, BO 1) But when people can play... this... and give it a 10/10 really really confuses me. Guns all feel the same, you don't feel you've done a lot in customization. The story is awful all the way through with no high points and a disappointing ending. Killing enemies that lack the brain to take cover and just run into your bullets makes the campaign boring and leaves a deja-vu effect if you played MW2. Now, with the star of the game, multiplayer. In my opinion, MW2 added a lot of stuff that ruined the game, like deathstreaks and a nuke. The only thing fixed in MW3 are the grenade launcher's blast radius. Terrible weapon balance, overpowered perks and even worse map design with lots of camping spots (yes, campers are back), terrible spawns and bad hit detection. Visual glitches and some unfixed issues (like teammates shoving you) are still present. Oh, and now the nuke is called M.O.A.B. but it doesn't end the match, just kills everyone. However, it's still a stupid killstreak. Overall, MW3 has the same graphics, same weapons with other name and same problems MW2 had. Do not buy this 60-bucks expansion pack.… Expand

    This horror drudgery Shouldn't even be in call of duty. From the Boring Campaign to the horrible multiplayer maps to the desperate attempt of the spec ops mode, there isn't really much to say here. Me? Im a cod fan, but that's going to change if Activition, Treyarch, and Infinity ward, doesn't start learning how to make games. Or at the very least, make something new.

    wow what awful game the graphics were great but the multiplayer was ummmm. ........ The only thing am going to say is the bomb sound , it explodes so bad that I had to laugh and cry at the same time because I never hear a bomb like that and there was one that sound like that sorry but it's sooooo bad. thank god I didn't buy it

The only additions they made to the game were basically just unnecessary crap that doesn't even belong, such as the Support package andModern Warfare 3 is a terrible game. It adds absolutely nothing new to the series and is essentially a crappy version of MW2. Terrible maps as well, and the spawning system is horrific. The only thing to like about this game is the new Specialist package and the Kill Confirmed game mode. This game just reeks of laziness and is a disgrace to the real developers that actually put work into their games. Sad, because I actually liked CoD4 and MW2. The only good part of this game was the campaign, which will take you around 2 hours to beat if you really stretch it out. Let's be honest though, there isn't a person on this Earth who buys COD for the campaign… Expand

I'd like to say this is the third time this game has come out- but considering black ops doesn't add anything new I'm starting to lose track of the number of times this exact game has been released. At least try and make weapons that compete with each other rather then just 3 weapons that everyone uses because they chop up. Finally the campaign had no reply value at all and also it was tooPlz stop making these same boring games and do something new. MW3 was a disappointment.     Wow how did they screw up this game. Just awful. The campaign is pretty boring until the end,Spec Ops is better in this game than MW2, and MP is just god awful. Overpowered perks like assassin and Deathstreaks like final stand, dead man's hand, etc. This is definitely the worst call of duty.

However, they never cease to amaze me with how bad this game was. The multiplayer isn't as broken as MW2, but that's like saying I'm not as bad as Osama Bin Laden. The campaign's story was horrible and was worse than MW2 (to be fair,I wasn't expecting anything amazing for this game. Modern Warfare 2 had already shown that Infinity Ward did not give a crap about listening to the community. However, they never cease to amaze me with how bad this game was. The multiplayer isn't as broken as MW2, but that's like saying I'm not as bad as Osama Bin Laden. The campaign's story was horrible and was worse than MW2 (to be fair, I actually liked MW2's story). Survival mode was a terrible attempt at getting IW its own "Zombies." The spec ops missions were OK but not as spectacular as MW2. Anyway, with the less significant parts of the game taken care of, let's move on to the biggest and worst part of it: the multiplayer.

    The "core" fanbase of the COD series was begging and begging for Infinity Ward to change the multiplayer system and actually innovate like Treyarch did with Black Ops. Deep down, most of them new that they probably wouldn't listen and just make COD's multiplayer a very expensive map pack with a marginally different interface. However, what very few of them were expecting was for Infinity Ward to actually be backwards and get rid of the many features that Treyarch put in Black Ops. For those of you who don't know Black Ops actually changed the level up system and you could get most of the equipment and base perks in the game if you just get enough "COD Points" which was essentially just virtual money. This made it possible for people who were new to the game to not be lagging behind everyone in a terrible way without having to put more experienced players at a disadvantage (in mw2 there were death streaks). What was Infinity Ward's response? Did they improve the system? Nope! They just threw the entire system out and went back to the old system of having to clock in countless hours to get that one class loadout you want to play with. On a more specific note, the improved scoreboard system that Black Ops had (which showed how many objectives players did) was thrown out in favor of MW2's scoreboard system, presumably because they don't like people who want to win instead of just kill people. The only positive thing MW3's multiplayer had in comparison to Black Ops was that you didn't get disconnected as often and the kill streak system has been improved.

    Conclusion: Do not buy this game at full price. If you can borrow the game (from a friend or something) or rent it or buy it used, then you might be able to have a few hours of fun with the campaign and spec-ops.    … Expand

    This game hasn't changed since MW2, all the newbs playing MW3 never even played the classic CODS like MW, WOW, and MW2 (BO doesn't count but its not bad :) ). The only people defending MW3 are those how haven't played the classics and to be a vet you have to play the classics. As A vet of COD, I feel that COD has died and its time to move on to a game less money hungry like BF3.

Its actually pretty ridiculous that CoD can keep on pumping games with same guns, very similar story-lines and people just keep on buying it (only bought World at War and CoD 4 and this on PS3). I felt being ripped off that I've bought this game and was stupid enough to hope that this time maybe they will change, after so many versions came out but I was wrong.

    It's time for some closure and re-invent the series, with a new engine and some very good thinking through of the multiplayer, because it's lost allmost everything of it's greatness of CoD4. I can't say much of the single-player, just scratched the surface, but it's same-old-same-old...

    Story:
    The story leaves off from Modern Warfare 2, where the Russians are attacking the U.S.! Why? Because of the infamous "No Russian" mission from Modern Warfare 2, which Makarov, the main antagonist and leader of the Ultranationalist terrorists, blamed the U.S. for the massacre at the airport. Anyways, the Russian president was going to sign a peace treaty with the Americans, but Makarov captured him, cancelling the treaty. The Russo-American war goes on and eventually develops into World War III.

    I just wanna get to gameplay, so, just to wrap the story up, it seems to be a repeat of a lot of story lines.

    And now, the part I wanted to discuss from the start, Gameplay:
    Gameplay should be familiar to veteran CoD players. Aim. Shoot. Kill. Hunt for play. Rinse. Repeat. Simple as that. However, the combat often takes place in close quarters, making SMGs and shotguns preferred over most weaponry. The maps often vary highly, but often give a similar experience each time I play it. The concrete pipe in Hardhat has massive firefights, the hilltop in Mission is a large fighting zone. In fact, every map but Dome has just one area where most of the fighting takes place, which can make experience from maps usually the same. The guns, perks, and killstreaks are mainly the same as Modern Warfare 2's guns, with some swap-outs, changes, and twists. Respawns are always either too close or too far from the action. And that final kill cam? Whoever made that is a sick, twisted, scum of the Earth. You can't even leave the server if you are being killed in it and you already got your bonus EXP.

    Overall, this game is bad, but is often bashed by 7 year old children who don't even own the game. Ben out.    … Expand

And you know how I can tell MW3 is in the second camp? Because it has a '3' on the end of it. It's a sequel to a sequel that never needed a sequel, it was fine on its own! But because Innovation to Infinity Ward is what cheeseburgers are to a lactose intolerant Hindu, we are left with this pile of old wank that got an 88 Metascore and we're all left scratching our head. You know, sometimes things our popular for a reason, because they're good, or because Will Smith is in it, but because MW3 is neither of those two, I am left wondering why MW3 was critically acclaimed and on top of that, was the biggest entertainment launch of all time. I planned to get back into the FPS genre with this game but this game has made it so I'll never return. The sad part is that millions of people thought at one point that this game would revolutionize the FPS genre. COD is only good in theory a.k.a. game trailers, not in actual games.     a very bad game the story line is way to short. after playing it your like really is that it? and for the graphics mw2 looked and sounded fair better as for online i have never seen a game from lunch get worse even after updates being sent out to fix the problems the online play at this time is unplayable. get any other game but this.

    I was a Black Ops junkie... when i bought this game, I started to play Battlefield 3 (traded for MW3). The maps are very boring, there is no way to play with sniper well, the game is made only for unrealistic hardcore gamers... and too much things to understand and think, almost a RPG... I only want to shoot!!!

Black Ops was a step forward I thought, something different. A lot more little details which make it fun. The graphics, bright and rich colours, the sounds like hit markers I especially like, having COD points to buy upgrades rather than MW3 having to use a crap gun for what seems like eternity before unlocking an upgrade or attatchment and by then You've unlocked a slightly better gun anyway. It's frustrating! It is much more fun for me the gamer, when I can choose what to play with! The guns don't seem to improve much either, in MW3 . I was frustrated to spend so much time unlocking everything to find the first gun was just as good as the last. No reward for the effort it seems. All In all I agree with everyone else, MW3 is just an add on to MW2 and seems like a step back. I found it dull to play, dreary to look at, and more like work than a game. I dragged myself to level 80 to feel like I got some money's worth, and havn't touched it since. I just play Black Ops now. I'm hoping the next game will carry on where Black Ops left off, or at least give us some fun improvements like customizable characters or choice of pre- set character or a lazer beam attachment,..anything! I'll definitely try a demo next time before spending money on a new game I've already played!… Expand

    Thirdly, Activision, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer or whoever the hell is regulating this game seems to love to nerf any weapon that people seem to be using the most all under the false pretense of "balance" -- Why is it so hard to just follow the successful template that MW2 left us with?

    Fourthly, the lack of a true form of Scavenger is a pure slap in the face. What is the point of just having more bullets; where's the full package the grenades, the equipment? Fifthly, the bland graphics, unenthusiastic gameplay, lack of a team based strategy aside from the entire team being rambo, the rabid camp supported maps, and overall game functionality leaves this game unbearable and unimpressive to any hardcore gamer or any gamer that has played the previous MW and MW2.

    The ONLY good points about this game are the ease of clan organization and Survival Mode.

    I give this game a 1 out of 10 if even that.

    Before I get into this game, I'll let you know some of my personal stats on it so you know that I'm not just some disgruntled child who is upset that his K/D is .5.
    My K/D ratio is 3.30, W/L is 1.87, I've gotten about 30-40 MOABs, and I've played about 3 days worth of time. So this is coming from a guy who is able to do quite well in this game.


    Multiplayer-wise, the game makes you want to kill yourself. Typically, I don't get upset with video games, I think I might have gotten upset at MW2 a few times after it was hacked to a pulp, and a little bit at Black Ops in the first few weeks after the release for the bad spawn system, but this game takes the cake when it comes to frustrating.


    Hit detection, now months after release, is still atrocious. I cannot even begin to describe how much lag has been put into this game. It's as if Infinity Ward purposefully put lag into the game.


    The maps are horrible, the setting for each of them is, 'Ok, this was a place, and now there was a battle here and there's clutter all along the ground.' Because of the lag, I'm constantly getting stuck on some random piece of rubble that is on the ground.


    Continuing on, the concept of putting 4+ UAV killstreaks into this game is something that is beyond me, all that the Support Strike Package does is ensure that everyone is forced to either use Assassin and Blind Eye and camp, or to try and use something other than those and get spammed to death by UAVs. It slows the game down, and it isn't right that someone can go 18 kills and 50 deaths, and earn an EMP killstreak through the Support Strike package. The killstreaks in this game are in too much of an abundance, and that turns this game into a total festival of killstreaks.


    Now onto deathstreaks, oh yes, if you get killed however many times in a row, without getting a kill you get certain 'perks' to help you get kills. One of which is 'Dead Man's Hands', where you will go prone and detonate a C4 charge, killing anyone close to you. Sound cool? Not if you are about to get a MOAB and you're on the receiving end of it. Another one is 'Final Stand', where you go prone and are able to shoot your automatic weapon. Sound fair? Not until you are killed because someone had this on at the time. In keeping with the tone of the game, there are only few weapons that are worthwhile to use, and because of the fact that killstreaks dominate this game, even more than they did in MW2, everyone brings out their stealth classes with silencers. So now, everyone is using Blind Eye, Assassin, and a silenced weapon, because if you don't, you're going to get wrecked by killstreaks.


    The point of this rant is to tell you that, even for someone who does well in this game, that it is extremely frustrating to play. With the oversaturation of killstreaks, particularly UAVs, Counter UAVs, Advanced UAVs, EMPs, which requires everyone to use defensive perks and play a slow-paced game, it really forces people to sit in corners.


    So, if you're one who likes to actually move around on a map when you play multiplayer, you won't enjoy MW3, but if you're a person who enjoys sitting in the same corner with a stealth class every game, go on ahead and pick this game up.


    I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. Ever. Purchase Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty 4, or Black Ops, but stay away from this game at all costs.    … Expand

Online is way too laggy. Every patch they release makes the lag even worst. Their are also bad clipping issues. You get stuck onto items from the map like railings, boxes and rocks. This game is a money grabber. IW does not care about their fans. They have really lost their touch. All the good employees left. Thanks IW for making a really **** game. This game looks like you spent 2 minutes on it. That 2 minutes consists of copying MW2 and putting a new picture on it. We all knew it was more of the same. Just cause of that, it deserves a 6 score. But the bugs... mainly the lag compensation thing and crazy spawns did it for me. This This pretty much sums up my 4+ days of online gameplay. Now I'm out two controllers, one I literally wringed in twain, the other just hit the tile at mach 2. Functionality was never a goal of the developers.     This game is just unplayable. It's basically a DLC for MW2 that costs $60. The maps, guns, killstreaks are all just terrible, everyone camps online just to get killstreaks. Nobody plays the objective and every gun has Instakill built in, it's just so stupid. Black ops is much better, MW3 belongs in the trash.

    I previously wrote a detailed review giving this game a 4. Now, as of the 1.08 update, MW3 is not playable. You can't join matches. So this game gets a revised score of 0.

    Any fps should have to pass 2 tests: The pistol test. Can a great player win with a pistol? The unlock test. Is the game balanced enough to make a level 1 player be able to compete evenly?    Well, back to Modern Warfare 2 I guess. Modern Warfare 2 had better map design, weapon design, spawn placement, sound design, kill streak design and frankly weapon proficiencies are a step backward.

    I gave this a 3 just because of Single Player and Infected(new game mode for multiplayer).
    Single Player:
    The single player is fantastic.If MW3 was single player only then it would have received a 10.The story is really good and deep and so is the gameplay.I also felt really close to some of the characters. Great single player,deep story and great voice acting. Multiplayer: The absolute    I gave this a 3 just because of Single Player and Infected(new game mode for multiplayer).

    ELITE is the absolute worst thing on the planet.WHY pay 50 or 60$ a year for:maps clans are other not interesting stuff?WHY!?
    Special Ops:It is good,not the best in the world and it still is not a good as zombies are(and it will never be).Survival is nice and the spec ops are quite nice.
    Average.
    The Verdict:If this game was a 15-20$ DLC on PSN then it would be a good game.But,this game is nowhere near worth 60$.

    Kill me now. This pretty sums up this whole colossal disappointment, I never thought I would say this about a game but this is actually worse than Black Ops. The more you play the game, the harder it becomes to live on this planet anymore.

It seems like it never takes into account players' levels or their score from the previous game. 9 times out of 10 when it puts you in a game that's already started, your team in losing horribly. It almost always sets you up so that you are killed by the person who just killed you, or you kill the perso who just killed you. The melee is also bad, it seems to me very random and sporadic. The killstreaks are almost all the same, the only positive thing about this aspect is the fact that you can set killstreaks by class. Other than that, the weapons are horrible, the graphics have not been improved since the original Modern Warfare, and there is no option to adjust the volume of the music or toggle auto-aim on and off. The campaign is the same thing over and over again as usual. The theater in multiplayer is a joke. Half the time the editing you do is not saved correctly at all, and every time you play a video it changes completely. I wouldn't even call this game an expansion pack like some people. I thought Black Ops was a step back from World at War, but this takes the prize. Modern Warfare 2 was 100% better in every aspect. I can't believe I wasted $60 when Battlefield 3 and Skyrim came out around the same time. Save yourself the time and money, don't buy this horrible game, and if you made the same mistake I did, trade it in ASAP.… Expand

    Are planning to launh 20 DLC ???? think all the year they want to we buy it and then already in a year will be a new call of duty and then MW3 lose their value EVEN MORE

When i bought BF3 i got happily suprised, the graphics is just stunning, the scale is awesome, everything is just awesome about BF3. It has a poor story, multiplayer hasn't changed at all, the Elite system is terrible and rips off people by giving them as dlc with a single map.     modern warfare 3 was a HUGE letdown. Modern warfare 3 is basically an overpriced, over hyped modern warfare 2.5. Sniping is useless unless you quickscope because the spawning system will spawn people right on top of you. The spawning system is stupid to the point that ive been spawned in the middle of a gunfight and spawned in front of someone.

I like the idea of the strike packages, but the support is a little over the top. I guess they're just trying to innovate and I don't hate them for that. I hope they improve next game, but it seems like Infinity Ward is having trouble improving their game. I used to like IW over Treyarch but now I am playing WaW and Black Ops once more and I'm loving it over MW/MW2/MW3.… Expand

    First thing, the pros : - Fast paced multiplayer action which is what made the multiplayer popular. - Very addicting. And now, the cons : - Unbalanced weapons such as the Akimbo FMG9 and the Type 95; still overpowering even after two months of the game's release. - The lack of dedicated servers -    Wow, Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3, what an anticipated game - made of complete garbage.

    First thing, the pros :
    - Fast paced multiplayer action which is what made the multiplayer popular.
    - Very addicting.

    And now, the cons :
    - Unbalanced weapons such as the Akimbo FMG9 and the Type 95; still overpowering even after two months of the game's release.
    - The lack of dedicated servers - was a disappointment; but I can see their point on the cost (how did Battlefield 3 achieve it, then?)
    - Lag and hit detection problems; yes, it was not as bad as Call of Duty : Black Ops, but still terrible compared to past titles.
    - Short storyline; hell, you may as well buy the game for the multiplayer - but even THAT'S flawed.

    There's a tangible insistence from gamers that this series needs to evolve, but it seems unwarranted when it still leads the FPS class. The engine's definitely in need of an overhaul, but when it comes to thumping set-pieces and addictive multiplayer design, Modern Warfare 3 is still in a league of its own.
