    This is an amazing game, it exceeds all my expectation. The game show how a battlefield really is. Its really good. I dont like the lack of mods and not having 64 players experience on ps3, thats why im giving a 9.

    The best FPS of 2011. Servers, weapons balanced, team work, vehicles, destruction, jets, amazing sound effects, this game is TERRIFIC. Battlelog is always ON to meet friends and search for tips to increase your gameplay.

    I've long waited for an FPS that would shift me away from Call of Duty and DICE has brought me that shooter in BF3. This game is amazing. The maps are enormous, vehicles are incredible and the visuals and audio are tremendous. I didn't like the multiplayer when id first played it but I stuck with it and now I can't stop playing it. Running to an objective whilst a tank has just toppled aI've long waited for an FPS that would shift me away from Call of Duty and DICE has brought me that shooter in BF3. This game is amazing. The maps are enormous, vehicles are incredible and the visuals and audio are tremendous. I didn't like the multiplayer when id first played it but I stuck with it and now I can't stop playing it. Running to an objective whilst a tank has just toppled a building, jets are having dogfights in the air and bullets are whistling past your ear from God knows where is just an exhilarating experience. For those switching from CoD, give it a chance if you're not liking it at first. Don't try to play it like you're playing a CoD game because you'll just die over and over. Stick with the game a while and you won't regret it. The single player is solid but I've only played it when my internet has been down, there's simply no incentive to complete it when the multiplayer is so good. BF3 has really pushed the limit on what the current generation of consoles can do, a true masterpiece.… Expand

    This game sucks hard. Squads doesn't work, microphones cuts in and out and the servers is laggy as hell. Just buy MW3 if you're thinking about buying new FPS game.

    Dull, Dull, Dull!

    Everyone raves about the graphics, yet calls MW3? I don't get it, this looks inferior to all 3 iterations of MW3 that Gregory has played! But to be fair, they're both negative and glorify death!

    Avoid this dreary negative tat. Buy a nice family game with Christian values!!

    There isn't much to say about this game, it looks better on PS3 than Xbox but the campaign is slow, multiplayer is terrible (not sure why you all think its fun) and the additional side games are of no interest. Glad I rented this. On another note, bought MW3 obviously and have missed 3 straight days of classes because of it. Game of the year for sure.

    Graphics and sound are top notch, destruction isn't as good as I was expecting. Lots of great weapons and unlocks, this game will keep you busy for awhile online. My biggest complaints are the input lag and mic and squad problems, there is no excuse for this being in the final version of the game since the same things happened with bc2 upon release.     what are your people on, this piece of **** is suppose draw every two frames? but it still keeps dropping frames.

    killzone 3 draws every 2 frames the game looks great, plays great.

    battlefield 3 looks ass, its sluggish. i had low expectations, the were fulfilled by DICE.

    A near perfect shooter. I like to put it this way: The Call of Duty games are great, awesome, fantastic fun, and Battlefield 3 is FAR SUPERIOR!! A few minor glitches and limitations prevent this game from being perfect. Newer players beware there is a serious learning curve here and it takes awhile to unlock most of the best items/equipment/attachments. 9.5/10

    game is really good.the only complaint at this time(if there going to add a patch or not) is the broken party issues,spotty mics,slight glitch,and sometimes the sound fx in the multiplayer is choppy.other than that its a goods fps,better than mw3.u dont need perks or a one man army to get a kill,takes skill on the trigger.story is ok.

    Best game I played so far this year, but campaign is disappointing. Get this game if you like tactical FPSs and destructible environments. But if you like mindless run and gun. Get COD

    Walls and building being destroyed. Rubble and debris everywhere! Tanks and squads assaulting strategic areas a la flag placements.  Being holed up in a building while the enemy is beseiging it with tanks, helicoptors, snipers while your squad works together    Modern warfare 2 is good, but not even killfests compare to the simulation and entertainment I get from battlefield 3.

    Oh man...modern warfare 2 does not offer this. It only gives you kill rushes. Thats it. And im sure mw3 does the same. I...cannot accept this over the massive stimulation I get from battlefield 3. I get less kills, but The overall experience is better.

    People who complain about battlefield 3 cuz of the single player campaign, snipers, people hidden in rubble that look like dead bodies are a bunch of **** who bring down a good game. So, what do you want...fking to have men rush you like monsters do in power rangers so you can get your easy kills? 

    I don't give a **** about bf3 single player. Bf3 isnt about singleplayer. Its all about the multiplayer, and all you **** who think ps3 graphics sucks for bf3 are a bunch of ****. Graphics dont always make the game---hence why bf2 from 2005 is still the king over all these games. Bf2 is the true call of duty killer, and I fking hate it every time I see a little bc2 **** with a bc2 dog tag playing bf3. I wish bad company would die a horrible death along with goldeneye-of-warfare 3.    … Expand

    This was my first Battlefield purchase in the history of their lineup. I must say overall I am very pleased with the multiplayer aspect of this game. The only things I wished were different is that there needs to be a few more players per team. Especially for objective based games. Also up the score limit so games don't go so quick on deathmatch.     It has some problems, and some that will never be fixed... but it's a great game non the less.
    The bullet damage is way too high, and the unlock system is a pain, but it's worth getting and playing.

    I can't understand why this has such a low score.. Shooter of the year by far, 100% better than Call of Duty in every way. Story isn't great, but Call of Duty's isn't either.

    great game dice and EA Went all out all out for the fans.. great servers, good people online, no people calling you out your name. Just a great example of what you can accomplish with a great idea and put it to good use.. thanks EA, Thanks Dice for showing activision how to do it

    it's a great game with excellent multiplayer. the solo is very good and the COOP mode as well but unfortunately too short I recommend this game 100% (sorry I don't speak english verry well )

    but enough about the campaign the multiplayer is what battlefield does best its fun its tactical and its teambased. this is a game where you have nice graphics in both the campaign and multiplayer. the frostbite 2 engine does what is does best which makes the game sparkle. this is a game that is worth picking up if your a battlefield fan.

    pros: good multiplayer, nice graphics,and pretty darn fun

    This game is really good. Most of all thanks to the graphics which makes it a little bit pathetic. At least other shooters have a nice feel to them, and in MY opinion this doesn't cut it. And this Campain... Seriously... I could make a better story in cindergarden. And I'm not a good writer, never been, never will be. The Spec Ops is very limited and quite boring.     I am not a big first person shooter fan at all. My favorite franchise and shooting game of all time is the socom series which is a third person tactical military shooter. To me the first person shooters were all about arcade style play where I prefer more realism. However based on the trailers of Battlefield 3 I felt this was a must try game so I rented it and Oh My God I was blown away. II am not a big first person shooter fan at all. I started wit the single player because I wanted to get a feel for the game before embarking into the multiplayer. The single player is absolutely amazing my only gripe about it is that it is a bit short. But the story is great, the graphics are mind blowing, the guns are realistic the sounds make you think you are actually on the battlefield. It is a truly a gaming experience that can't be missed.

    Once I beat the single player I jumped in to the multiplayer and I am still discovering that part of the game. So far I have stuck to team deathmatch and its a beauty. The maps are beautiful and fun to play I cant get over the sheer realism this game has. To me Call of Duty looks like a cartoon even on a 1080p tv. But Battlefield looks photo-realistic and true HD. Its amazing they can make a game look like this on a 6 year old console (ps3). The online also has a game mode called conquest where you can get in tanks, vehicles, jets and etc. as well as be a ground troop. I havent played that much as I said I am sticking to team deathmatch right now.

    There is also a co-op mode that you can play with a friend online. Overall this game rocks. Its worth 60 dollars and you wont be disappointed    … Expand

    With the return of a numbered sequel, DICE has brought what i have to say, is the best console fps experience since Call of Duty 4. While the PC version of Battlefield 3 is superior in all aspects to the console versions, that's not to say they are not bad, in fact they are great in their own right. The single player is the average fare you get with modern military shooters, while enjoyable it's not something you would want to play twice unless you're going for trophies. I also have a slight problem with how the U.S. Marines are portrayed in the single player. The co-op is very enjoyable with a friend, but with only six missions, it leaves much to be desired. The multiplayer is the bread and butter of all fps games and Battlefield 3 makes the most out of what its got on the consoles. While the destruction of the Frostbite 2 engine is good, it feels a little subdued compared to the house toppling destruction of the Bad Company series, although the Back to Karkand expansion maps are supposed to rectify that this December. Nearly all the weapons in the game feel balanced so that you could do no wrong choosing any of them. The jets are fun and all, but aerial vehicles in general have a steep learning curve and the jets really takes you out of the action as there are only 24 players on consoles. The game modes while few are superb and the maps are very nice looking and varied. Every kill seems to have weight to them compared to other modern military shooters, you feel accomplished after killing someone and taking a dog tag is oh so sweet. The only thing DICE could have done better with Battlefield 3 is if they changed the default voice option to team chat since I find that many people don't know how to change the chat settings or are too lazy to change it. This game begs for teamwork and if you can't hear your teammates other than the ones in the squad, how can you truly work together as a whole? The suppression system in my eyes is revolutionary, no longer will players in Battlefield take on bullets like Superman, no right minded person would not flinch after feeling bullets fly past them. Nothing is more exhilarating than firing back at an enemy when your screen is blurry from the bullets flying around everywhere. Battlefield 3 is a must buy for hardcore shooter fans period. Leave Modern Warfare 3 for the noobs.… Expand

    Graficamente es muy bueno y aunque no llegue al nivel del PC hay que reconocerle que por momentos es espectacular. El sonido merece una mención a parte con los efectos más realistas de disparos que se hayan escuchado en un juego.

    En conclusión no es juego para todos pero sí para aquellos que busquen un reto y más aun si lo juegas con amigos, entonces la diversión se dispara.

Battlefield's long-running tradition of relatively sophisticated First Person Shooters is taken to the next level with amazing graphics, incredible sound, and a compelling leveling system that'll keep players playing to get that next weapon and achievement. BF3 sets itself apart from Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) with its ambition (giant maps, land/sea/air vehicles, and new weapon enhancements) and focus. Games are won by accomplishing objectives and both winners and losers come away with at least some progress.

    The single player campaign is nothing ground breaking but is a nice appetizer for the online multiplayer main course. The modern FPS is, for better or worse, mostly about leveling and grinding for better weapons so this game is definitely not always "fair" for all players (at least not in the Counter-Strike or Team Fortress 2 sense), but it's definitely a more level playing field than MW3's. It towers over MW3 in every sense, even on the PS3 (which is the version I'm speaking of specifically). You might not have time to play every FPS this year, but this one should definitely be one of them. A remarkable achievement, don't miss it.    … Expand

    Me encanta este juego, el modo campaña es corto pero muy entretenido, dan ganas de rejugarlo más de una vez, las misiones coops muy buenas aunq cortas con un nivel de dificultad muy ajustado. El modo multijugador online es una aunténtica maravilla, horas y horas de diversión con un sinfin de situaciones diferentes en cada partida.     Excellent graphics, great sound, good control, fine detail, but it is very boring, all missions are slow and not get excited, if not for the trophies or achievements makes no sense

    Que decepção, sinto que joguei no lixo meu dinheiro acreditando que o jogo seria tão bom quanto BC2.

    Mapas enormes com poucas pessoas, você não consegue enxergar seu inimigos pois eles estão longe demais e quando vc finalmente encontra não consegue atirar por causa da dificuldade de controlar os movimentos exagerados da mira (mesmo mudando a sensibilidade). Se você diminui a sensibilidade seus movimentos ficam lentos, mas quando vc aproxima a mira os movimentos ficam rapidos demais, ou seja, não há um balanceamento na mira que faça você ficar confortavel tanto mirando quanto não mirando e o que parece é esse jogo não foi feito pra se jogar com um Joystic.
    O som esta mt pobre comparado ao BC2, os bugs ainda existem e me frustram.....o jogo todo foi uma decepção.
    Durante os 2 dias que joguei não consegui ter 1 minuto sequer de diversão, agora me resta recorrer ao Modern Warfare 3 que tenho certeza que irá me divertir, e vou me desfazer do BF3 ou terei que começar a tomar calmantes toda vez que joga-lo.

    Agora o que nos resta é esperar um Bad Company 3 para podermos voltar a nos divertir.

    This game was complete garbage. The control sensitivity was all jacked up, the button configuration was confusion, and the campaign story was a copied version of a couple of other games, such as EA's 2006 game BLACK and Black Ops. I traded this for Uncharted 3 within hours of playing it. Glad the other guy had no idea how sh!tty a game this really is.

    The nine multiplayer maps seem to be designed specifically to let players come up with their own creative strategies. Compared to COD, this gives the player a real sense of freedom. There is no such thing as a perfect strategy or a trotten path. [December 2011, p.74]
