Jan 19, 2013I love the platforming, open world, graphics, characters, customization. So why give this a 6? Well one of the key things that this game relies on is combat. And the combat is so poor compared to other games that it can drag the whole experience down. It could as well be a turn taking combat system.

Dec 15, 2012AMAZING. It's safe to say that you can play this game from start to finish without a break. You can almost never run out of activities to do with all of the side missions and the open world gameplay is great. Awesome storyline and a fantastic main character who never gets boring. This is definatly one of the best games I've ever played.........Nothing is true, Everything is permitted.

Oct 30, 2012Better than AC 1 but still not that much fun to play. Gameplay is just too boring and repetitive.

Oct 21, 2012Personally i prefer the original but that doesn't mean that this is not good as well. Maybe it was because of the historical location. I think that the middle age of AC1 was better retracted than the renaissance of AC2. In spite of these minor details it's always satisfying to play the AC series. It's a reference of this generation's gaming.

Sep 6, 2012What a beautiful game. I think it is at the top of my favorite games list. I start playing and playing and playing and playing........ I played Assassin's Creed 1 but AC 2 is much much much better in graphics, game play , storyline and everything. Thanks to Ubisoft for such a awesome game.

Jul 9, 2012Wow! This game is such a huge improvement on the first one. Basically, this game is everything that you were thirsty for out of the original Assassin's Creed. With improved movement control and a much quicker-paced storyline, this game is near perfect.

Jun 12, 2012Ubisoft is back with more Assassin ass-kicking goodness. This time, we are put in the world of the Italian Renaissance with our favourite assassin, Ezio! The gameplay has improved, the characters are much more relatable, the story is solid, and everything flows as nicely as the rivers in Venice. HIGHLY recommend.

May 18, 2012played this a while back, but I remember this to be a great game. It definitely was more diverse than the first game(gun, flying, etc). I did find the game kind of repetitive, but just stick to the story line, missions and you'll have a good time. There isn't much to do after beating the game though, as if you kill civilians for fun, you'll desynchronize or whatever. A solid 80.

Apr 7, 2012This Is one of the greatest games I have ever played!
The campaign is 20 hours long, which is immense compared to other Ac Games.
The gameplay is fantastic, stabbing people has never been this much fun in any other game.
The story is also written fantastically, credit to the writers at Ubisoft.
NOBODY should miss this masterpiece. -

Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)The sequel has arguably changed for the better in just about every conceivable way...Assassin's Creed II truly offers an experience like no other, one that mixes history and brutality to sheer perfection. And it's absolutely massive. [Holiday 2009, p.38]

Playstation Official Magazine UK[Games are] about delivering a world that you want to invest your time in, full of characters you can have an emotional connection with, and Assassin's Creed II does that almost perfectly. [Dec 2009, p.102]

Assassin's Creed II is such an improvement compared to its predecessor that it feels like a completely new game, rather than just a sequel. The varied missions really shine and the narrative is very effective, in all it's Forrest Gump-esque glory. Despite the quite slow start, Ezios adventures in beautiful Florence and Venice both look and feel amazing, and are well worth experiencing to the very end.
