Ultimately, Wrath Unleasheds biggest problem is that it sticks too firmly to concepts that were fresh twenty years ago, a mediocre strategy game and a mediocre fighting game wrapped up in one mediocre package.
-
What I find most surprising about the game is the distinct lack of replay value.
-
Sounds like a good idea in premise, then, except it's during these combat sections that the game emerges flatter than a blind hedgehog on a motorway. Limited fighting moves, weedy spells, monotonous pace - it could hardly be any less entertaining.
-
TotalGames.netColours throughout are horrifically gaudy and are totally at odds with the sombre nature of the game. Overall, there's little to commend about this insipid and limp title.

Official U.S. Playstation MagazineToo simple for strategy fans and too complex for fighting fans. The occasionally interesting creature design and accompanying animation can't save this one from its cliched premise, uninteresting gameplay, and interminable load times. [Mar 2004, p.103]
