I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea to call this "EVERYBODY'S" tennis, because this is clearly not for everybody. It might look funny and cartoonish, but the gameplay is punishing beyond belief. Even the easiest opponents can have you running around the court, while you hit perfect angles on them. It might look funny and cartoonish, but the gameplay is punishing beyond belief. Even the easiest opponents can have you running around the court, while you hit perfect angles on them. This is not funny, but frustrating as hell. The training mini game is impossible to get anything higher than a D rating on a good day. It's as if the develloper didn't know what they wanted to make: a simulation game with arcade gameplay or an arcade game with simulated gameplay. I clearly don't know, but it fails at being either of them. It's just not a fun game to play, when the AI only misses shots when you hit perfect ones. Not my kind of tennis game, and i played games like Top Spin 2, 3 and 4, Virtua Tennis 3, virtua tennis 2009 and Smash Court 2. Top Spin 4 is clearly the best, but this doesn't even come close to the worst. Expand

Despite the uber-cute looks, Everybody's Tennis isn't a game that wants to hold your hand, and that only adds to its considerable charm. [May 2007, p.119]

Cute, accessible and fun, but lacking oomph. [May 2007, p.78]
  3. All told, it's just a solid, by-the-numbers "Virtua Tennis" clone with a generic cast of Clap Hanz creations. If you really must have a tennis game on your PS2, the bargain basement will serve you far better than this rather apologetic 'will this do?' offering.
