  1. The locations look decent, if not a bit overwhelming at times, and the gameplay is solid, with the exception of a few hiccups. Newcomers can have fun, but the frustration factor is high, only rising as you progress.

Blood Money feels only slightly closer to the series’ ideal of a gameworld that’s both complex and cogent, and is more accessible and entertaining with it. [July 2006, p.80]
  3. Hitman still has plenty of potential and I look forward to seeing if the new direction comes closer to fulfilling it in the future, but for the moment it's hard to tell if the formula has changed too much or too little and if Blood Money represents a brave re-birth for the series or the beginning of the end.

With Eidos' latest foray into professional assassination, players will have to dig deep, wading through mission after mission of trial-and-error gameplay to hunt down a series of targets. [June 2006, p.49]

This is definitely the best game in the Hitman franchise.
I just don't like the new ones at all, I mean they brought back the big open levels and possibilities, but it seems so obviously scripted.
Silent Assassin also has nothing on this.
Hitman Blood Money has absolute Legend status like Saints Row 2 and GTA SA.

It sidesteps the surreal dark atmosphere of "Contracts" and takes place in sunny, picturesque locations. While the game feels familiar since it repeats the basic formula of its predecessors, there are a few standout features. The notoriety system helps bring a freshness to the gameplay. In this installment, you must keep your profile low or risk being in the next day's newspapers. However, you also have the option to payoff witnesses to keep your notoriety down. Another cool new addition is the ability to upgrade your weapons. Overall, the game is an absorbing action title. If you like the series, than you'll love this one. I would rate it with an 8.4 out of 10. Full Review »
