    These guy's are crazy because it's the best game in the world.You can almost do anything in the game like go pimping or rob or just start a fight with a rival gang.

    The excess of orange and the impossibility to disable the effect trails mine the game. But San Andreas is good and impresses for the size of the cities and the details of the agricultural regions.

    I'm not sure what has gotten into IGN lately, but it looks like they are taking upon themselves to single handedly make all XBOX games look bad at the end of this year by GIVING PS2 games good scores that don't deserve them. I'm not worried aboout CCC or OPSM, as one of them is totally biased and the other isn't credible [Ed: huh??], you figure it out, but if IGN gives I'm not sure what has gotten into IGN lately, but it looks like they are taking upon themselves to single handedly make all XBOX games look bad at the end of this year by GIVING PS2 games good scores that don't deserve them. I don't how Sony is getting to these reviewes, but I for one am sick of crappy games that haven't changed in years getting great scores and games that haven't been tried much before that have something new to give getting the boot. This game is no different from the last, so I guess every game from now on should get a 10 since anything that tries something different in their sequel should be considered better. Shame on all reviewers that give this game over an 8.5. Sequels that don't do anything different from their predecessor can't be scored higher than their earlier try.… Expand

    I'm curious as to who Jim D. is referring to when he complains this game only appeals to one "specific group"... I wonder if I fall into that group, because I think it is incredible what they accomplished with this game. The level of both technical and production polish on this game in unprecedented.

    Its amazing how annoyed X-Box owners are at the reviews this game gets. I am playing it and i am like WOW. X-Box owners see it and get all defensive and start bagging it just because they are jeleous it isnt on there console. Great game. BUY IT NOW!!!!

    Just not that impressed, I like Vice Vity alot better. The game just feels to slow, or maybe it has been a while since I played GTA VC , but the new game is just missing that certain bite !!

    This game will have you putting GTA3 and Vice City up on your shelf for the next year at the least. Not only is this game tweaked waay more than the past GTA games, its a blast!     Slower firing rate for all the guns, I really hate the new camera (that R thumbstick junk), the tank is now destructable and is impossible to aim, and the sunset look gets annoying.

    Fantastic new spin on the Grand Theft Auto franchise, great charters,great storyline!! best of all tons of side quests and truly Outstanding gameplay. This one's gonna be hard to beat!!!

    This game is amazing. Theres so much to do. Its so addictive, there really needs to be a warning on the box. You start to concentrate so much on Cj's life you forget about your own. Be carefull and take a break!

    I played this game at a friends house and it was awsome. I am going to buy it as soon as i can get the money for it, it is well worth the $50.00 it cost.

    This game was $32.99 on sale at circuit city. Thats like 12 seperate games with the amount of gameplay that is offered for that price. Anyone giving this game a bad score must be an x-box owner and just wants to lower the overall score. This is the greatest ps2 game to date!

    Great game! I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I don't know much about Cali hoods but this game does a good job of portraying life in the hood. I'm sure any hood in Cali is like any hood in New York.

    The ONLY bad thing about this game is the graphics. The levels are huge, the game is very long, the missions are all varied and there is just so much to do. This game will go down as one of the best games of all time.

    This is definantly the best Grand Theft Auto title to date. A massive world to explore, hours of side missions, tons of stuff to buy and a plot that outdoes even that of Vice City in it's gritty intensity.

    This should be the #1. Fair enough, it lacks a physics engine. But its so fun that all the bad things are out numbered 999999999:1 by the sheer joy. The 2 player sucked though.

    I have played this for a couple of months now (replaying) and it gets a bit too repetitive after a while. I haven't played the other games so I don't know about their comparisons. But you should rent this if you haven't played the other games. It does have some ridiculously difficult parts.     Pretty cool in my vote. I like that cars can actually fly rather then glide. I found a way to make quick money the fun way. Activate car of death cheat and flying cars cheat. it helps if u have a car with nitro but u don't need it. First go really fast on a long strait road. 1ce u start flying keep going up past a layer of clouds. then keep going up until u see some big puffy ones. Pretty cool in my vote.     simply the best itiration of anything inter-non interactive in history 18 MILLION sold on the ps2 alone is nuff said. the total gross for the game would be est. at over 1.1 billion which would place it at #3 best selling movie of all time, maybe 2nd. this is truly a benchmark in gaming history. if the re released this game 4 years from now(from august 17th, 2009 spruced up the graphics tosimply the best itiration of anything inter-non interactive in history 18 MILLION sold on the ps2 alone is nuff said. the total gross for the game would be est. at over 1.1 billion which would place it at #3 best selling movie of all time, maybe 2nd. this is truly a benchmark in gaming history. if the re released this game 4 years from now(from august 17th, 2009 spruced up the graphics to a crysis crushing standard, kept all the original gameplay formula in tact, slightly reduced the cursing, (even though i liked it as is), reworked the audio, added more cars planes, doubled the map size, optimised it for ps4 which will probably feature 100gb bluray capacity and pc with ultimate graphics. then reworked the lighting, textures, flames, made realistic ai, increased the travel options to include trips to small maps of cartels in asia to shop for dope etc. allowed you to recruit gang members, reasign lead member positions, assign members to houses around the city, increase the weapon count, weapon damage, sounds, enviro effects etc. paint cars a wide variety of colors, add aftermarket wheel options, engines, exhaust etc. add competitive kayaking and white water to the ravines, grand canyon, include revised multiplayer, local online co-op, jails, nitrous, add 20+ hrs of main story line, the MY list goes on. i hope and believe that my revised version would come near, match or surpass the original in sales and would be happy to buy the ip if available. your input to new editions to the original is welcome. i also forgot to mention calling up gang members to help you in a fight.… Expand

    Fantastic addition to the GTA series, absolutley huge with LOADS to do! Lots of new additions to the gameplay, and the handling of the game Sometimes the frame rate can jump slightly and thats the only reason for my 9.. other than that.. AMAZING!

    I have never seen a video game better than this. This game beats Halo 2 by an inch. I thought Driver 3 was good, driver 3 is Pong compared to this.

Would prefer "radio-edits" of the songs, not the constant barrage of F* bombs. (in the songs and the cut-aways) The music in Vice City was much better!     Wonderful... so interesting my wife watches me play(sometimes)j/j. But really Rockstar and Rockstar North have truly outdone themselves. Elements from all genres of games are included from RPG to street racing w/ nitros to FPS to PIMPING! Well Done.

I told someone then, "If the graphics were better, this would be the best game on the market!" And OMG!!! It's gotten better and better with each version and San Andreas is just ORGASMIC!!! I LOVE THIS GAME!!! And the video games inside of the video game is just pure I've been a GTA fan since the very first one. You know, the one with the aerial view and really crappy graphics?     A very good game but I still enjoyed vice city more for a couple reasons. Tommy from VC was a great character because he was a total wise guy, while CJ is just a sterotypical gangsta. Also san andreas lost some of the humor that pushed the last 2 GTA games though the roof.

    San Andreas is the best of the GTA 3 series of games for the PS2. The gameplay and minigames are leaps and bounds ahead of the others. The graphics have gradually improved with each game, though they are still nothing extremely special. The setting is great, Vice City put you there, but you really truly get immersed in San Andreas.

    The graphics are terrible and two player is not fun, but it is a pretty good game overall. There is a lot of cursing in the game and some reviewers didn't like it but it doesn;t bother me. It wouldn't bother them either if they didn't depend on a Playstation to watch their kids.

    Um dos melhores jogos do ps2, unico defeito é o enredo meio confuso, a historia do game, porem a jogabilidade e a trilha sonora sao otimas, um jogo onde vc escolhe ate estações de radio pra ouvir e muito bom mesmo.

    This is one of my favourite GTA game in the series beside GTA 5. The graphics on my iPad are great for a game from 2004. I'm a huge fan of the GTA series owning GTA LCS, GTA SA, GTA 4 and GTA 5.

    Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is one of the greatest games of all time.This game is almost perfect.Everybody I know likes this game.The graphics aren't too good but they are not too bad either.I have the PC version of the game.The gameplay is excellent.There is plenty of stuff you can do in the game such as get    Rated M for Strong Language,Violence,Blood,Sexual Content and Drug Use.

    Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is one of the greatest games of all time.This game is almost perfect.Everybody I know likes this game.The graphics aren't too good but they are not too bad either.I have the PC version of the game.The gameplay is excellent.There is plenty of stuff you can do in the game such as get tattoos and haircuts,Go to stores,dance at nightclubs,date girlfriends or basically kill and maim cops and pedestrians.This is not the newest Grand Theft Auto game.The newest one is Liberty City Stories.I have not played that one however I hear it is not as good as this one.The soundtrack to the game while not as good as the one in Vice City does have some very good songs on it.It has songs by Dr.Dre,Eazy-E,Ice Cube,NWA,Ozzy Osbourne,Depeche Mode etc.There are more vehicles such as jets.My only problem with this game is that vice city was more fun to play over and over again.In Vice City there were very few difficult missions.There are not too many difficult missions in this game but the ones that are difficult are really frustrating and hateful.I beat GTA Vice City three times already.I only beat San Andreas once.The game is about a man named Carl Johnson(or CJ) who goes back to his neighborhood to find his mothers killer and reunite his old gang.Doing this takes him all over the state of San Andreas where he meets plenty of different characters.San Andreas is an excellent game and I suggest buying it.Also if parents are worried about the hot-coffee mod you wont find it in the game.If you child is impressionable or young don't get him this game.

    Este juego nunca pasara al olvido, es algo fascinante, la historia es demasiado increíble ademas de muy larga y fascinante, se ven pocos juegos como este porque es demasiado completo. Es demasiado realista en cuanto a jugabilidad, los gráficos eran buenos para la época (2004) el sonido excelente y muy innovador.

    This is best Game on GTA Series and best PS2 Game . On Android and Ios this game deserves 9/10 , but on PS2 and PC this game deserves 10/10 . This game was born in 2005 and this game is very amazing game for 2005 . This game has got normal graphics for 2005 and amazing storyline . This game even better than Grand Theft Auto 5 and in this game city as in GTA 5 . Very good game . 10/10 .

    San Andreas follows the trend of 10/10 releases from Rockstar. This game was the biggest to date when it released and easily one of the best games on the system. A must play game.

    ohhhhhhh my god this game has aged well wow im playing it on the ps4 and ohhhh my everything is great except when you fail a mission you stay where u failed it i don't mind if i have to restart the mission but failing it from the other side of the map and having to go ALL THE WAY BACK!!!! but when i failed it i just explored around where i failed so yeah old game great game even if youohhhhhhh my god this game has aged well wow im playing it on the ps4 and ohhhh my everything is great except when you fail a mission you stay where u failed it i don't mind if i have to restart the mission but failing it from the other side of the map and having to go ALL THE WAY BACK!!!! but when i failed it i just explored around where i failed so yeah old game great game even if you don't play story cheats are so funnnnnn… Expand

    One of the best videogames in history. Even today it is still playable and aged amazingly well. This game was such a mindblowing experience backthen which offered so much fun and the replayability is endless.

    Undoubtedly one of the best games in history and the best game of ps2 for my opinion is a game of 10 from its great history, characters, thematic, atmosphere and an incredibly good living city.

    I have played and beat this game several times over the years and there is no doubt that this is an instant classic. Not only did this game give us many of the modern game mechanics that we know and love in our current GTA titles but holds up to today's gameplay mechanics in its own right. So you play as CJ, a former gangster that left San Andreas to start a new life but is brought backI have played and beat this game several times over the years and there is no doubt that this is an instant classic. Not only did this game give us many of the modern game mechanics that we know and love in our current GTA titles but holds up to today's gameplay mechanics in its own right. So you play as CJ, a former gangster that left San Andreas to start a new life but is brought back into the fold upon the death of his mother. CJ quickly realizes that his family and old gang is in disarray and does what he can to help deal with inner turmoil, rival gangs, and crooked cops.

    Let us start with gameplay mechanics. Rockstar really upped their game with more responsive movements and handling. You really feel like you are in total control of everything you do from driving to aiming. Past GTA entries often had an annoying twitchy feeling making aiming and turning very sudden and unpredictable. You now also have the option to manually aim your weapons other than your sniper rifle. The story itself is very solid and entertaining. You do feel invested in the character and want to see the story to its end. Missions are varied and interesting. One minute your hunting down gangsters in Los Santos and the next you are burning a weed field in the rural countryside. Racing and side missions are also satisfying and varied.

    My biggest issue with the game and that seems to have been worked out in future GTA's is the emptiness of the very large open world. A lot of time and effort was put in to make the map the largest ever but so much of it just feels like its big for the sake of being big. I guess this adds to the sense of realism but can really make going from city to city feel like a chore at times especially since there are no fast travel options. Don't get me wrong the story is good but it did not speak to me in a personal way that the past two titles did and the future two titles did as well.

    There is no doubt this is one of my all-time favorites. If you were to tell me you have to replay one game to its story conclusion this would be a top candidate on my list (but it would be Vice City). This is a classic everyone should play at least once. 9/10 Great.    … Expand

    It has it's flaws, but GTA: SA is by far one of the greatest of its kind, even put up against the latest games in the series. It has its own unique charm that Rockstar perfected.

    GTA San Andreas is my favorite of the GTA games. The story, characters and gameplay were all masterclass. The side activities and music were all amazing as well. I always found myself flying a plane with Tom Petty playing, driving through the countryside listening to Conway Twitty, Jerry Reed, etc and be zoned out of real life for hours. The twists and turns in the game were alsoGTA San Andreas is my favorite of the GTA games. The story, characters and gameplay were all masterclass. The side activities and music were all amazing as well.     ¿Nostalgia o algo más? un pandillero con ramalazos de bonachón (no consume drogas) pero capaz de asesinar a una banda enemiga entera para "conquistar" territorios que supuestamente le pertenecen a los de su tribu/banda/estirpe/etnia si lo logra, lo mas seguro es que así sea. Pero venga todo por Grove Street los mas chulos de la City dónde juegan Los Angeles Lakers y hacen peliculas, pero¿Nostalgia o algo más? un pandillero con ramalazos de bonachón (no consume drogas) pero capaz de asesinar a una banda enemiga entera para "conquistar" territorios que supuestamente le pertenecen a los de su tribu/banda/estirpe/etnia si lo logra, lo mas seguro es que así sea.     Was playing this game the other day and just couldn't help but be amazed at the amount of content it includes. The story by itself is amazing but the open world aspects are just so much fun! This game completely deserves every bit of praise that it has received.

    One of my favorit games on the PS2. I just love this game, the first real open world game in which you could do just about everything your little, criminal heart desired. Unique about this GTA game is that you could even play with two gamers on the same console! Hours and hours of fun blowing stuff up, stealing cars, killing cops and driving over pedestrians! It doesn't get much better than this.

    San Andreas's chief advantage over "Vice City" is size. And for many players, that's good enough. But another group of fans will come to quietly understand that, at least for the time being, "Vice City" remains the high point of the GTA series.
