Best Game ever. The Original PS2 feeling on the PS4, not the trash mobile version

It was War Drum studios (now called Grove Street Games) that that made the bad mobiie port, and recently (November 11 of 2021) released the embarassing GTA Trilogy the Definitive Edition, that has a San Andreas that is even worse than the mobile port. Great atmosphere, story, music, big map with variety of landscapes. Very well made characters and quite likable. Story based on real lifeGreat atmosphere, story, music, big map with variety of landscapes. Very well made characters and quite likable. Story based on real life events and blended in very well into this fictional world. Great content overall. The minus is the graphics because back then there were already open world games with better graphics. So we knew it's possible but rs decided to not invest much into it and tbh I doubt the people there knew what are they doing coding wise. Either way it's still a great game and quite enjoyable. For me the PS2 version had better sounding and atmosphere while the PC version was tech heavy back then and had tons of glitches and bugs. The tons and tons of mods are what kept this game alive for years so as the fanbase held multyplayer. Overall a really enjoyable good game. Expand

The good news is that this is one of the best games ever made. The bad news is that this is one of the worst ways to experience it. But ifThe good news is that this is one of the best games ever made. The bad news is that this is one of the worst ways to experience it. But if for some reason the impressive PC port is not in the cards for you, then like me you may just find it more convenient to play this on your PS4 for cheap.

It helps that as you play the RPG elements make some of the game more and more enjoyable, but there's still a lot of downsides to this port. Be aware that this is essentially the PS2 game, so things like draw distance and framerate which you might think are improved are decidedly not. Also, given the clunkier nature of the game engine and the worsened controls due to the lack of the PS2's analog buttons, some segments will feel more difficult than necessary and may lead to frustrating repetition of some of the more complex missions. So given the game's considerable length, it may be very unlikely that most players will bear the learning curve and get past the first third of the content.

But underneath all that is still the core San Andreas experience, unmatched in many aspects even by this very series. Stick with it and by the time you get to the halfway point you will be more used to the quirks of playing this flawed port.

The game is good, but controls for me was a bit weird, since I'm used to GTA V. The game was good, exactly like PS2, but HD. The only reason why I don't like about the game is that when you are on a bike, and you sprint, It' s not that fast. And aiming wasn't good either. But good. Expand

What a joke. A downgraded version of a game that already doesn't hold up when you actually play it.
