    Gran Turismo 4 is the last great entry in the series before the downfall.
    Gran Turismo 4 was a lot of fun back in 2005 with lots of cars, fun challenges and improved driving dynamics.
    It is now having a second life thanks to emulators and mods. It is certainly behind modern simulators when it comes to physics, ai or engine sounds, but the core GT mode experience is still something that    Gran Turismo 4 is the last great entry in the series before the downfall.
    Gran Turismo 4 was a lot of fun back in 2005 with lots of cars, fun challenges and improved driving dynamics.

    This game and a ps2 is the cure for kids with psychological cancer from playing mobile games full of gambling mechanics and microtransactions. Here they grind for a currency that means something about their dedication and personal development, and does not exist to manipulate them into stealing their parents credit cards. Yes, I'm old and nostalgic, but that makes Gran Turismo 4 no less good.

    DO NOT read the negative reviews of this game. Most of not all of them were made before this game came out. This game was truly ahead of it's time. Incredible graphics, a deep car roster, races ranging from easy to challenging and the best gameplay for a racing game ever. There's no racing game before or after this that's better. Truly the GOAT

    Gran Turismo 4 is by far the best Gran Turismo game in the series, along side Gran Turismo 3, Gran Turismo 5, and Gran Turismo 6.
    I do enjoy them a lot, even GT Sport is a good game (minus the Online Only part).
    Don't get me started with Gran Turismo 7 though.

    10/10 for Gran Turismo 4, best racing game of the PS2 era (along side some others too).

    When I think of best racing game of all time... this game always pops into my head first and foremost. The graphics of the time were crisp, beautiful and outstanding. The used car store was a stroke of genius, the career was excellent! The prizes for each championship were great, giving you cars you can use for other championships. Not just that but a lot come in unique colours you couldn't choose in arcade mode. The track list, insane! The made tracks, real tracks, different terrain... this game to me, has never been surpassed in how much you can get from one game. This isn't just about the game, it is about the nostalgia of 2004- onwards playing this game until I was told to come off or until my eyes hurt. I could get another PS2 and play this for weeks.     With the 4th installment of this Goliath of a franchise. You would expect that they would stop innovating and rest on their laurels (spoiler alert, they are doing that these days) but not only did they improve from grand turismo 3, they added almost 700 plus cars, better upgrades and the freedom to start with a different car with each playthrough. When I played GT4 on my PlayStation 2 I was playing the most racing game that could be considered a racing game on the PlayStation 2. The PlayStation 2 had a lot of racing games but GT4 had a lot of racing game themes and settings and mechanics that made it feel more like a racing game than otherGT4 was a fantastic racing game that made you really feel like you were a racing game player. When I played GT4 on my PlayStation 2 I was playing the most racing game that could be considered a racing game on the PlayStation 2.     Genuinely can't find anything wrong with this game. Gargantuan amount of content, both in terms of vehicles and events, lots of customization and tuning options, superb graphics and handling for the time, and a great soundtrack. If I had to pick a weak spot, it would probably be the meh chasing camera, but that's it.

All of the cars were beautifully modeled, compared to the first two games, where all of them were just a bunch of pixels. The tracks are increased, giving more uniqueness in the game.     Im locked in a basement and I'm forced to write this review.
    Im about to be shot, so ill make this quick.

    This is an amazing game.
    All of the cars were beautifully modeled, compared to the first two games, where all of them were just a bunch of pixels.

    The tracks are increased, giving more uniqueness in the game.
    You can race on Sarthe, Nurburgring, Suzuka, and ov every track around the world.

    Driving licenses return, and its more challenging then the previous one. Its more harder.
    Youre gonna have a hard time beating them if youcare not careful.

    The graphics are a great improvement.
    Nuff said.

    Speaking of the GT Auto shop - their new hire, Waltuh Copeland, and his gang of minion-esque Doppelgangers will ensure your pride and joy (Copen) is well looked after. He'll even drive it for you if you ask!

    Bottom line: if Gran Turismo 4 was a building, it'd be the tallest. If it was a star, it'd be the brightest. And if it was a number, it would be 69.

    incredible game, amazing detail, ahead of its time, gigantic car selection, lots of tracks, great soundtrack, not as much soul as gran turismo 3 but it makes up for it with the fact that it's full of so much content, 10/10

    B.Wheelman was here. Gran Turismo 4 is GREAT! It's one of the Greatest racing games of all time. A True Game Changer and stills very modern till this day.

    Many of us Sim racers started loving racing sims because of Gran Turismo on PlayStation 1
    GT 4 it's a GREAT game
    I would advise for every fan to try it at least once in your life, you wont regret it

    One of the greatest racing games of all time, with a great car list, great soundtrack and overall great presentation that most games fail to achieve now. It's like GT3 but prettier and more of it, a bit like what GT2 is vs GT1. On real hardware it still looks good, and the photomode (with enhanced graphics within it) was well ahead of its time and can still produce great images (easilyOne of the greatest racing games of all time, with a great car list, great soundtrack and overall great presentation that most games fail to achieve now. It's like GT3 but prettier and more of it, a bit like what GT2 is vs GT1. On real hardware it still looks good, and the photomode (with enhanced graphics within it) was well ahead of its time and can still produce great images (easily exported via USB, something many new games don't offer). The license tests can get boring, but none are overly difficult and you can complete the game entirely in B-Spec mode if you really hated them that much. The arcade mode is also relatively expansive, giving plenty of scope to make your own gameplay if you don't like the GT career.… Expand

    Back in the day I only had a PAL ps2 and the big TV was NTSC only but I still played the entire game in gray scale.

    Best game of the series hands down. Everything from the previous games but better. Have extremely fond memories of playing it on my uncle's PS2. Pushed the PS2 beyond human imagination

    Gran Turismo 4 is quite possibly the best game in the franchise. It pushes the PS2 to it's absolute limits. Hundreds of cars available for you to drive on real and fictional tracks all over the world. Absolute recommendation for everyone who has a thing for cars and video games.
