PSM2 Magazine UKThere's nothing else to touch it in terms of mixing strategy and action, making this another satisfyingly-tough tactical challenge for anyone tired of predictable war-based gun-and-runners. [Apr 2006, p.70]
-
The multiple teams, added tanks, verticality, precision fire, the stepped-up AI, and the much-needed multiplayer modes are all smart, value-added features. The game doesn't, however, advance much once you get going.
-
The difficulty level may have been cranked up a little too high for the average gamer to enjoy the single-player experience, but the robust multiplayer component of the game helps to make up for it.
-
Ten Hammers is as close as a game has come to representing the genuine battlefield experience. It may have more strategy than you bargained for but damn, it's painfully addictive.
-
Official Playstation 2 Magazine UKEntertaining and absorbing. This is an intelligent, testing mix of action and strategy spoilt only by its motor-mouthed characters. [May 2006, p.86]
-
Pelit (Finland)A slow-paced and an extremely difficult tactical action game that will appeal to people who like a good game of chess. The PS2 version has been done sufficiently well, too, even if it does look a tad ugly. [Sept 2006]
-
For the most part they offered multiple new ways to approach each situation, but I just felt that had the control scheme been adjusted to reflect these new changes, this game could’ve been much better.
-
The strategy elements and the point-and-click system bog the action down in this game.
