Electronic Gaming MonthlyWith its bleak environments, surreal plot and button mashin' gameplay, Eve of Extinction is one big mess. [May 2002, p.106]
-
A game that could've been so much more has turned into a pile of... well, crap.
-
There is nothing about the game's style that particularly stands out; it has a decidedly generic feel.
-
There's just no way around it, the camera is terrible and contributes to making this games fun factor go way down.
-
The idea is good; a sort of modern weapons-based update to the old-school brawler genre, but the implementation is poor, riddled with camera and control issues, resulting in a less than enjoyable game.
-
A decent little action game to pass the time away, but only if you're desperate.

JacobM.Jun 24, 2003I liked it the best because to get the full effect you have to play the game again and again to achieve full completion.
