    That one was pretty rad! Never forgot how badass this Dante guy was, and I even got to learn how to play Rungran (from the anime) on my guitar when I was younger. Anyway, hack n slash at its peak.

    cutscenes's look so good dance movement and the fluidity and the character design the voice acting just every little detail just go up to a new level. This is just one of those games you love to look at.

    I completed the game on very hard and it was good that means that I have played it about three times now and I am still in love with it and you fool energy that every battle is filled with and of course I taunt every second I can to get a good ring and just looking amazing while doing it.

    I will enjoyed the story it just makes it more hype and more full of feelings and sadness and I rivalry between Brothers is just so fun to watch and even funner to play against.

    It's one of those games you keep returning to and I will certainly do it even if it's sad that I can switch styles on the go.    … Expand

    I wish the first game was like this. It would have been a stronger start to the series. I'm not even going to compare this game with the 2nd game. That's why I'm comparing it to the first game.
    There are many good sides compared to the first game;
    - Story - Characters - Gameplay - Dialogues - Boss Fights - Enemy Designs - Level Design - Variety of weapons - Style feature -    I wish the first game was like this. It would have been a stronger start to the series. I'm not even going to compare this game with the 2nd game. That's why I'm comparing it to the first game.
    There are many good sides compared to the first game;
    - Story
    - Characters
    - Gameplay
    - Dialogues
    - Boss Fights
    - Enemy Designs
    - Level Design
    - Variety of weapons
    - Style feature
    - Character animation
    All this better than the first game.
    As the weak side;
    Again, some bosses are repeating towards the end of the game. And the graphics could be better. The game can be very difficult sometimes. Almost like fromsoft games. Finally, some chapters in the game are unnecessarily long.

    I'm not a fan of DMC but I love this game here! was part of my life of teenager.
    The satanic voice in the menu saying DEVIL MAY CRY is one of the most badass things in this game

    Absolute masterpiece down to the writing, gameplay and music it hypes you up in the intro but it won't disappoint you unlike other games 10/10 would play more.

    Hikaye kısmında biraz sıkıntılı olsa da müthiş bir oyun. Birkaç görev oyunun süresini birazcık daha uzatmak için koyulmuş belli ama mekaniklerle o kötü bölümleri biraz kurtarmayı başarıyor.

    Never have I seen a game where the cutscenes are one of the best parts about it. Every time a cutscene played I had a huge smile on my face. It is so ridiculous in the best possible way. I really feel like the developers went headfirst in the goofy department. The dialogue is great. The gameplay is even better.     + Badass DT design. Dante has different appearances with different devil arms in DT mode. I say my favourite are the guitar and gauntlet.
    + The music is REALLY good. Unfortunately, most bosses give strong audio cues of their attacks, you can barely hear it in game.

    - Inferior enemy design compare to DMC. Gimmicky enemies are not interesting to fight against. DMC has a much much stronger normal mob lineup.
    - Some bosses are like puzzles, such as the M4 boss and M12 boss. It is about doing exact thing at exact moment, especially in DMD. If you don't do that, it is just a pain in the ass and waste of time.
    - Some levels don't have intense and compact fighting.
    - The hold button design. It is very unintuitive and very hard to use. Like the Gunslinger style. How am I supposed to hold style button while attacking?
    - The fear system is a little... Basically you have to kill enemies together in DMD otherwise they will start to fear and DT, which gives them triple armor which means triple hit points. And DMD enemies have natural twice armor that makes a DT enemy in DMD has six times of health... If you ever try to kill a DT sloth in DMD you know what I mean. It can be tedious, it also makes Sword Master one of the best styles you can use. The True Rising Dragon deals massive damage somehow nullifies the DT armor, and the Whirlwind is perfect for enemy controlling. And unless you are super good, you must use DT explosion constantly, which means most times you are in human form which kinda wastes the cool DT design, unless you wear the infinite DT costume. I just think triple health is a little cheap and forced to kill enemies together instead of able to choose to kill them one by one is not that good.    … Expand

    Another treat from the Golden Age of gaming. This game was highly inspiring for me as a teen. I'm not big into hack 'n' slash games, but Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi/etc. Warriors and Devil May Cry games have always stuck with me ever since I first tried them. I consider them quite unique in the hack 'n' slash genre. The cutscenes in this game are also a delight. Now I'm the kind of person whoAnother treat from the Golden Age of gaming. This game was highly inspiring for me as a teen. I'm not big into hack 'n' slash games, but Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi/etc. Warriors and Devil May Cry games have always stuck with me ever since I first tried them. I consider them quite unique in the hack 'n' slash genre. The cutscenes in this game are also a delight. Now I'm the kind of person who has no problem with cutscenes and watches them every playthrough for a more complete experience, but this is the kind of game that makes cutscenes really a great thing. Another game with fantastic rewatchable cutscenes off the top of my head is Saints Row 2, which is a great comparison.

    A decent story and some pretty good characters too. The best character of course being Dante himself, stealing the show every moment of the game. The worst character, however, is the female character Lady/Mary. Her constantly sticking her gun in Dante's face gets annoying and she also has the kind of grumpy personality no man would want to put up with, heh. I know she's supposed to have a burning stick up her ass, but it's executed in an annoying way. She does finally decide to ditch her tryhard tough girl routine and fold near the end of the game, which adds some redeeming femininity and cuteness, but it's too little too late.

    This game is also very approachable. There are difficulty levels for everyone. And the automatic mode is a real treat, letting you have fun without having to make the button mashing complicated. If you're not into hack 'n' slash but are interested in this game, don't be afraid to give it a shot! You may just like this one. And hell, if not the gameplay, then the overall presentation, atmosphere and story might keep you coming back! Although the gameplay is really fun and the unlocks are sweet!     All around great game and the most defining game for DMC. The addition of the Style System helped define Dante as a character, as well as his personality. Vergil is also a well done villain and perhaps one of the best rivals in video game history. He's the archetypal hack n' slash rival, which others like Jetstream Sam, Henry Cooldown, Jeanne and the like take inspiration from. All around great game.

It has a perfect setup where you can grind (if you want), different play styles to fit you, a decent difficultly curve, and a arcade feel if you want to get the highest score.     Don't want to make angry Toxic DMC fans but true DMC fans know this game is actually saved the franchise. Everything is so good at this Hack N Slash game. Story,Dialogues,Gameplay,graphics and characters.. I remember how many times I finished with Vergil. People must play this game. Glad they did this game Special Edition.

    Simply a game that every gamer should know and play, I stand out a lot for its hack n 'slash genre at the time, it has good gameplay and a good style system, it has weapons that fit the player's taste. that's why I consider devil may cry 3 the best of the saga

    Como juego de acción Hack and Slash estamos ante un juego    Historia del origen de los poderes de Dante, evolución jugable y alocada sobre las dos primeras entregas, frenético a mas no poder, combos desquiciados, hasta el momento del lanzamiento la mayor cantidad de armas y jefes, historia a la altura de la primera entrega, esto es lo que obtendremos en Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening.

    Como juego de acción Hack and Slash estamos ante un juego que marco época, podremos hacer combinaciones de combos hasta el cansancio con los enemigos, y esto nos hará volver muy seguido al juego.

    Cuenta con pocos acertijos y secretos pero están bien implementados, y lo mas novedoso es que podremos escoger entre 4 estilos que son especialidades de Dante las cuales son:

    Sword Master: Especialidad en las espadas.
    Gunslinger: Especialidad armas de fuego.
    Royal Guard: Defensa.
    Trickster: Agilidad, rapidez y tele-transportación en batalla.

    Si sumamos a esto la variedad de armas en el juego tenemos al que en su momento fue el mejor exponente del genero en relación a la jugabilidad y a día de hoy sigue siendo uno de los mejores en ese aspecto.

    En cuanto a la historia de la entrega nos apegaremos a Dante por su evolución de actitud durante la travesía gracias a Lady, quien ha perdido a su madre y busca venganza en contra de su padre, lo cual lo hace una historia muy profunda y triste. Adicionalmente el juego profundizara en los lazos familiares rotos que tiene Vergil con Dante y nos llevara a un desenlace agridulce ya que nos sentiremos identificados con ambos personajes.

    Hasta día de hoy esta entrega considero que tiene que ser jugada por cada persona que ama los juegos de acción Hack and Slash. Es un juego imprescindible.

    Nota: En esta edición podremos usar a Vergil y eso ya lo hace la excusa perfecta para volver a disfrutar de la aventura. El manejo del personaje simplemente es espectacular.    … Expand

    Story was very interesting.
    I actually played DMC3 first, then played 1 & 2.

    DMC3 was always a better game, with a better version of Dante. Plus the ending made more sense than the ending to DMC2. That ending was dumb.

    Anyways, I strongly recommend anyone buy this game. If you do get it, you must get the special edition. That way you can play as Virgil.

    10 out of 10 for me.

    This game is THE Devil May Cry game everyone should play, the combat is even better than the original 2 games, the controls feel smooth, a great story, hard as nails but satisfying to master, Very intuitive combat that is super satisfying mastering, and of course, kickass music because why not?
