Honestly the game is really all we want from a free to play yugioh game. Its a gacha so it's very ressources reliant but it doesn't feel hard to build many decks. The game already have a lot of cards (+6000) . The main problem i have right now with the game is the lack of different modes (only 2) but konami is planning to add different ways to play in the future.

I'm sorry, but the people complaining on here about how other people are playing are just plain bad at the game lol. Choosing to play a bad deck will net you a bad experience, that's just how things work. The game itself is a lot of fun. Great visuals, good resource system and a lot of fun to grind mostly. Gems dry up quick and the fact it's months behind the real card game kind of sucks.I'm sorry, but the people complaining on here about how other people are playing are just plain bad at the game lol. The best of one format is annoying but playable and it would be really nice if they implemented a banlist to follow that, but oh well. All in all, Master Duel is a lot of fun, so don't listen to the people whining that they lost to a combo deck that took a three minute turn because they wanted to play 57 card 1900 attacker beats. Give it an honest shot and it'll be blast! Expand

Much better then Duel Links. Free to play friendly, epic soundtrack, decent solo mode. I believe it only has to improve as Konami will release updates.I just have one request for everyone who wants to play this game.
    PLS READ THE CARD EFFECT!

Im loving this game, i haven't spend a dime and i already own two meta decks and have a Platinum 1 ranking. That being said, this game is just for hardcore Yugioh gamers or at least with a lot of knowledge of the game, at the moment is kind of impossible to play fun decks and have a good time, you need to play a meta deck or at least a good rogue deck. They need to implement a mode for casual players that give them rewards, and decrease the cards rarity of not meta cards ASAP. Expand

This game has been an amazing experience, from someone who hasn't touched YGO for about 15 years, the solo mode did a good job introducing me to the new mechanics, on top of giving a nice background to some of the lore of a couple of archetypes. The deck editor is pretty good and the crafting system is easy to manage and very effective, the game so far has been very welcoming to F2P players, you can create at least one top meta deck for free. And to finish it all, the soundtrack is simply one of the best I have ever heard. Its not a perfect game and it needs some refining but its the best experience I had with YGO since the Forbidden Memories days. Easily earns at least, an 8 out of 10, but I will give it a 10 since some people are hating around here and I really liked the game. Expand

People here cry about the fact hey lose duels because of meta and broken monsters. Other one said that non meta decks cannot compete. Hello? About the game itself; animations are nice, trading system very favouring the player because it's one of the most fair deals to get cards (3 for 1), explaining lore of amazing archetypes in solo mode and packs with archetypes in shop... Good job Konami. Game is good. Casuals, cry about it. Expand

Overall a very solid game on most fronts. It is an addictive, strategy card game to waste a few hours on if you are bored. One of the only issues however would be the number of no-lives that use meta decks to get literally nothing in return. Some of my favorite moments from card games have come from this game, but the community of sweats can be a bit challenging to deal with once you get past (or even into) silver. Expand

It still has a lot to improve in terms of the ability to interact with the opponent to finish being a multiplayer.

However it is a fun filled experience for any fan of the card game.

It's YuGiOh except you don't need to spend thousands of dollars if you want to compete competitively. Crafting system and starting gems give you enough to make a viable deck to climb ranked from which, you have a steady income of gems to build more decks. Presentation and music is amazing. Just a really well done YuGiOh game.
It's honestly an 8/10 but there are too many 0/10s complaining

This is what brought me back into Yu-Gi-Oh!, and convinced me to but my own deck (Speedroids) in real life for the first time ever. Thinking about getting Floo for tournaments and such, and Ancient Warriors for fun.

    PROS

    - Unlike other TCGs (Duel links etc), Master Duel is F2P. With minimal daily grind anyone can make one meta deck per month. - Smooth Yu-Gi-Oh simulator with great visuals. -This game managed to bring back to Yu-Gi-Oh, players that haven’t touched a single card since 10-15 years ago. Also the replay feature is a great learning tool for not top tier players. CONS -The game

    CONS

-The game feels empty. There’s only the ranked ladder mode and the occasional event for a few days every month.
-It can be very cruel for beginners, especially those that don’t even have knowledge of the TCG.

    ONE LAST NOTE

This game has a different card pool (not up-to-date) and different ban list from the TCG. Many players find that a huge minus. But I feel that this is more a plus. This way there can be more diversity in the meta (for example Mathmecks) and also avoid bad metas (Tearlament tier 0 meta)

It's pretty good. The game's balancing is for sure out of whack but you'll still have fun duels. Any complaints I have would be toward Yu-Gi-Oh itself rather than Master Duel. Overall, this game is a great medium for playing Yu-Gi-Oh so I'd recommend it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is an awesome game that Yu-Gi-Oh! fans, both new and old would love. I honestly would've probably given this a lower score, but they just added the option decks from YGOProDeck directly to the game. This just fixes one of the major issues of the game and warrants it a better rating. All in all, fantastic looking graphics, and it plays well. What else can you really ask from a card game?

Without going around it too much, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is, to date, the definitive game dedicated to the collectible card game. Aside from some elements that will turn up your nose a little, such as the limit of only twenty decks, it provides players with all the tools necessary to explore and play Yu-Gi-Oh in the best way, all enriched by excellent animations and original elements, such as the lore of the archetypes, very appreciated. The future success of the game will depend exclusively on the update frequency that Konami will decide to adopt, but for how they are behaving today, we can only be satisfied.

Konami managed to make the best Yu-gi-oh adaptation to this day that will bring many surprises to both old and new players because this game isn’t the same one we used to play 15-20 years ago. The learning curve is huge and it requires a lot of time to learn all the decks currently available, so be ready for a lot of grinds.
