  1. With its stunning graphics and terrific story line, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is definitely one of the more pleasant surprises of the year.
  2. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a superb action game especially for fans of the character. This is the Wolverine game that fans have been waiting for. It’s not incredibly varied and a lesser game would have suffered because of this but Wolverine is just incredibly fun.
  3. The game is not perfect but it’s a very good start. I recommend X-Men Origins: Wolverine – Uncaged Edition for the PC to anyone wanting to take a walk on the wild side.
  4. X-Men Origins: Wolverine may not be a perfect masterpiece, but it has been polished from all the right spots. Non-stop action worthy of the M-rating, showing you exactly what you can do with a pair of adamantium claws in gory detail.
  5. Give Raven kudos for staying true to the character and producing a highly visceral gaming experience.
  6. Despite these flaws, Wolverine is an interesting experience, a PC version of a multiplatform game developed with a sense of responsibility – which in itself is a rarity – and I warmly recommend it to any and all Wolverine fans who were disappointed by the movie (is there any other kind?).
  7. It might be a one-way road, a one-time ride in a fancy car, but considering the alternatives it’s a pretty neat little gem. Let’s hope Activision will drop the bad habit of launching a game without seriously ironing out all the bugs in the process.
  8. This tears your skin off! Fast gameplay, customisable upgrades and lots of style – despite the repetitive action, Wolverine definitely is the best game incarnation of our favorite super-hero.
  9. Origins is a fun game with great story and visuals, perfect for fans of Wolverine, hack and slash gameplay or a shirtless Hugh Jackman.

    An above-average movie adaptation. [July 2009, p.78]

The story is convoluted, the bosses are boring and the whole experience isn't that deep, but this game sure is fun.
  12. A bit awkward and rough, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is still a nice game. It’s an energetic sharp-clawed slasher with some original ideas. Fans of X-Men can look no further.
  13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is probably one of the best examples of how Wolverine was meant to be portrayed beyond the comics: brutal, bloody, and violent as hell. But that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. The game plays it safe too much in terms of gameplay, afraid to stray from the tried and true action formula that has sustained other series’ like God of War and Devil May Cry.
  14. Overall, Raven Software did a very good job of sticking close to the movie plot while simultaneously delivering a rewarding experience.

When playing this game I felt like I was Wolverine and the developers did a great job in portraying the character on -screen. They even have Hugh Jackman do the voice-acting.

I loved how they displayed Wolverine regeneration ability, on the character model.

Although as fun as the game was the game's AI was incredible easy. After a few hours of playing, the enemies took very simple strategies to kill; especially the end-boss fight ...

I would recommend this game to any Wolverine fans. Much more enjoyable than the movie counterpart. 7/10
