    It's pretty much the only game that let's you play with WW2 warships. And it looks beautifully at that. But it is as grindy as Word of Tanks is, also lots of warships are only available in premium shop at absurd prices (up to €60 for a ship).

    The game is just a bomb, beautiful design, great graphics, play it personally for me a pleasure, you can immediately see all the details thought out, the developers are well done.

    Installed the game last night. Until now sit play. Graphics are beautiful. Detail ships at the highest level. After the World of tanks as a breath of fresh air. Still 20 minutes and need to to do their Affairs.....)

    The game is a lot of fun. Graphics on top. Fights on ships are so detailed that it seems as if you are fighting in real life.

    I didn’t think that this game would hook me like that, it’s just cool. Incredible graphics, everything is very well thought out, it’s a pleasure to play, as soon as there is a free minute, I immediately sit down at the computer. Although I was not such a gamer before, I played a little and everything, but here it’s not possible to stop.)) I recommend it to everyone.

    It is difficult for me to stay on one game longer than a week, but this game hooked me. A variety of ships and excellent game play combined with beautiful graphics. This game is definitely worth your attention!

    I absolutely adore this stuff. Highly entertaining and quite unique. I am not the greatest fan, but I got hooked! It takes minutes to get involved in it. Love it and find it amusing!

    I think World of Warships is different from other MMOG.

    Group strategy (especially in divisional battles or clan battles), tactical sense, choice of positions, composure, reflexes, setting of ships and their captains... Everything comes together to immerse you in epic and thrilling battles.

    With nearly 20,000 games on the counter I'm not jaded, quite the contrary. With 4 classes of ships available in-game (destroyers, cruisers, battleships and aircraft carriers) and multiple nations, the gameplays of the units vary greatly.

    This is enough to satisfy your appetite and make it possible to find the ones that best suit to your style of play.

    When added to the possible settings for ship equipment and the skills of the captains, the possibilities are many.

    I recommend you acquire tiers V-VI quickly and familiarize yourself with them.
    Ships of these tiers are relatively easy to obtain and allow a good understanding of the arcane of the game.
    What's more, they're less expensive than higher tiers.
    The results won't take a long time to come.
    This will allow you to build up a war chest (which will be very useful for your progression to tiers VIII-IX-X) and to claim to join a clan.

    I very much like this game for 2 reasons, one its pretty fair and reasonable the ships are easy to control and are fun to "drive" around in and two it actually doesnt absorb your wallet since the silver you get is in the bucket full ive got over 1 million and havent once used the doubloons in the game so it really is just something to save time but not mandatory so it earns my respect this game.

    The game is very mesmerizing, it is interesting to play it. I especially liked the graphics, the game is very well done. I thought I would not be interested, but going into the game was surprised and shocked. Really worthy game, I will advise it to my friends. Installing the game is instant, you do not have to wait as in other games. The developers are very cool guys.

The matchmaking-system seems to have some regulation in it - the better you play the more brain-afk your team becomes. the worse is you depend on your so called team.

Nearly everything that gets added to the game now involves some attempt to incentivize spending more and more money on in-game items. Entire ship lines are being added primarily to drive yet more sales, while other lines are artificially propped up to keep the number of players using them at an acceptable level. Everything now revolves around maintaining gameplay stats where the parent company wants them and constantly increasing revenue.

    My advice is to avoid this game completely. Whatever fun can still be had here, it's not worth dealing with the ongoing efforts to wring every last penny out of the player base. Spend your time and money elsewhere.    … Expand

    - gameplay is scuffed - as ONE example there is currently a torpedo bug that literally puts torpedoes where you DON'T send them (this has been acknowledged and not fixed for several patches now);
    -    Have been playing since beta. It's only gotten worse over time. The game looks and sounds amazing (congrats art department), but it's a complete dumpster fire in all other areas that matter:
    - gameplay is scuffed - as ONE example there is currently a torpedo bug that literally puts torpedoes where you DON'T send them (this has been acknowledged and not fixed for several patches now);
    - the balance is balans - everything Russian is made of stalinium which is the strongest metal on Earth (even stronger than adamantium and vibranium combined) - and this means both hulls and shells - basically everything russian is incredibly well made even though most of their hulls would not even stay afloat the way they're presented in game. Historical realism is something the company takes pride in but there are so many "paper ships" nowadays it doesn't really matter at all (ships that never existed outside of drawn plans);
    - the marketing and aggressiveness of monetization has become absolutely insane over the past few years, it's like Wargaming is trying to burn their game down and in the process collect as much money as possible in the process whilst alienating the community at the same time; loot boxes everywhere, unreasonably priced and with wording that makes you believe something that is not real (drop chance of a certain wanted item) - also with hidden mechanics.

    This game is also rated pegi-7 but is literally a slot machine simulator with boats. As good as those boats look and sound, I'ma head out now.    … Expand

    Firstly the good things i found in playing this game: Great graphics - the ships are fantastic modelled, the environment looks great and kind of realistic. The game play can be intense and fun if you are into slow paced arcade games. Don't be fooled by its title, this game is a naval combat themed arcade shooter. It just puts you into a naval theme to shoot at things nothing more andFirstly the good things i found in playing this game: Great graphics - the ships are fantastic modelled, the environment looks great and kind of realistic. The game play can be intense and fun if you are into slow paced arcade games. Don't be fooled by its title, this game is a naval combat themed arcade shooter. It just puts you into a naval theme to shoot at things nothing more and nothing less. It doesn't simulated naval combat in any fashion, most of the stats and the way things work are fantasy to make the game interesting and work properly and this is nothing bad per se.
    Now the bad:
    The power gap between the classes and levels are huge, this especially true because you can face up to 2 levels (tiers) above you own. The power creep is also a big factor in this game, balancing is inconsistent and seems to focus on maximizing the profit for the developer. This leads to overpowered ships left in the game for months, sometimes for years. Certain classes have a huge griefing factor because there is no counter and the interaction between the classes are one sided (air craft carriers vs other classes). Skill can mitigate that to certain point.

    Interesting and powerful content is more often behind a pay wall, so that adds a certain pay-to-win feeling to the game. But you can still play without spending a dime and all tech tree ships are available without spending real cash.

    I've been playing World of Warships since it went into open beta in 2015. Prior to this I played World of Tanks so this wasn't my first Wargaming.net game.

    If you've played World of Tanks you'll know how unforgiving that game is. Make one mistake and that's it, game over. World of Warships is slower paced and gives you time to think ahead and be much more deliberate in your gameplay.    I've been playing World of Warships since it went into open beta in 2015. Prior to this I played World of Tanks so this wasn't my first Wargaming.net game.

    If you've played World of Tanks you'll know how unforgiving that game is. Make one mistake and that's it, game over. World of Warships is slower paced and gives you time to think ahead and be much more deliberate in your gameplay. Mistakes are punished, but generally you don't die from three or four hits as you do in World of Tanks.

    The grind is much less painful, and the use of premium camos and signals allows you to move up the tech trees far more quicker than in World of Tanks, but just like that game, at higher tiers the ships and upgrades become very expensive and you'll run short of credits if you're not running a premium account or have some high tier premium ships for grinding credits.

    Wargaming apparently learned their lesson with this game and didn't include premium ammunition. In fact, there are no ammunition costs in this game.

    The rock-paper-scissors interaction between the ship classes *was* very good. I say was because that was up until the recent aircraft carrier rework. Right now high tier games are blighted by the aircraft carriers which are simply too overpowered and have completely overturned the established game meta. A carrier can spot you seconds after the match starts, this is especially bad for destroyers. If the carrier then decides to focus you there is pretty much nothing you can do about it. There is no effective counter play for a carrier with a hard on for your ship. Anti-aircraft fire was also reworked for the new carriers and has recently been shown to be working very poorly - there are very few ships which can put up an effective defence against air attack. Right now if you get into a match with two tier 10 carriers on the other team (which unfortunately happens far too often) you're going to have a pretty miserable experience whether you're in a battleship, cruiser or destroyer.

    I'm also slightly concerned with Wargaming's trademark Russian bias creeping in. Russian battleships have only been in the game for a matter of weeks and they're just about to get a second tier 10 battleship (which no other nation has). Of the two tier 10 battleships they have access to one will be the most tanky and well protected battleship in the game, the other will have the most accurate long range guns and best anti-aircraft guns in the game. World of Tanks is already massively effected by this Russian bias, please don't let it creep into World of Warships!

    The in-game chat is also far less toxic than in World of Tanks. You will still find abusive team mates, but it's much less frequent than in World of Tanks.

    I'd give the game a solid 8 before the recent carrier rework. I've gone with a seven because there's still time to save it... if the developers double down and keep the totally unbalanced carrier class as it is now I'd give it a 5.    … Expand

    The developer is hoping that they can continue replacing their old hemmoraging player base with new blood forever. I'm here to warn you not to be that new blood.     Game is lag, lag lag. Every update gets worse and worse. Cant even get out of battle screens anymore. Notice the scores getting worse and worse over the years? They have really messed this game up big time.

    Bad practices, rigged gaming tricks, to get money through an awful dirty game promoting hatred.

    The game characteristics are not very demanding and therefore it is available to almost every PC owner. To sum up-excellent graphics, interface, responsive technical support, a huge variety of content all this can keep you in the game for a long time.

    Отличная сессионка, немного скучновато на самых первых кораблях, но потом вообще огонь. Если вам нравятся относительно хардкорные игры, где нужно понимать механику и думать головой, однозначно рекомендую.

    The game is interesting, everything is in order with the graphics. Management is easy, Great gameplay. Gorgeous voice acting. You can play without money. I often get to stocks, Gold flew a couple of times.

    I totally revere this stuff. Profoundly engaging and very one of a kind. I am not the best fan, however I got snared! It takes minutes to engage in it. Love it and think that its entertaining!

    Not a bad game in its genre, for a very long time did not reach her hands, but as they reached so not a drop regretted, the plot is a bomb, and the graphics are just cosmic!

    Divertido, adictivo, buenas gráficas y jugabilidad. La curva de aprendizaje es baja y la dificultad aumenta en función del tier. Los barcos están muy bien logrados y el balance entre los barcos está bien (mas alla de algún barco que esté roto por un tiempo).

    I really liked the game. There is a reusable selection of aircraft and tanks, as well as an excellent realistic mode. The gameplay and graphics are excellent.

    * Frustrating mechanics - destroyers / cruisers firing while stealthed (invisifiring), **** class mechanics (carriers that can bully slow / not agile ships with poor AA, destroyer torpedo spam)

    * Some P2W elements; you can buy premium ships that are outright better than others (Gremyaschy >> Gnevny, Murmansk >> Omaha, and others I'm not aware of surely) and are NOT affected by global nerfs - e.g. all soviet mid-high tier destroyers damage / chance of fire / visibility when firing were nerfed, except the Gremyaschy of course. Also, you can buy flags for money - they give some neat benefits, although not gamebreaking.

    In short: too much RNG, too little consistency, I never feel like I'm in control of the game - more like the other way around ... like a slot machine.    … Expand

    Very fun game, the grinding is kinda annoying but isn't that bad.
    But if you ant into warships or navel warfare this game isn't something for you.

    World of Warships is a good game. Excellent graphics, superb optimisation, excellent balance. I already received 23 level of and not despite to dwell, invited In this game friend, mind, too, liked, now play together. The game is 10/10!

    This game is precisely average. I have a list of specific complaints which can be detailed here;

    Firstly is the ship balance, you enter new tiers and your new ship - unless you use FreeXP to get basic hull upgrades first becomes a liability instantly and causes you to lose against more powerful opponents. Secondly the free vs paid ships; in almost all ways the paid ships are better,    This game is precisely average. I have a list of specific complaints which can be detailed here;

    Secondly the free vs paid ships; in almost all ways the paid ships are better, instead of simply paying for a different kind of ship you can pay for a ship which is stronger, faster, does more damage and has abilities that don't belong to its class. In addition to this is other certain aspects surrounding the paid unlocks such as faster progression generally, more money etc etc. Yes I have played F2P before but this is obscene because P2W ships will always get a game even if they're blatantly not tier appropriate.

    Thirdly is the aircraft carriers - IJN and USA CV will get discussed to death here and elsewhere but it's really evident that the developers are playing musical chairs with who gets to be OP in order to maximise your time spent grinding. IJN CV are hands down better than USA because even in their fighter heavy configuration they still get 3 bomber units on top of their 3 fighter units vs the 2/0/1 or 2/0/2 of most USA CV. You are demonstrably non-competitive in USA CV up until the later tiers.

    The tier 6 USA CV is literally the ship which made me decide not to pay for this game. Feel free to quote me on that, the indepedence is the vessel that made me decide not to give you the money I felt you deserved up to that point. The soul crushing grind and underpowered t6/t7 I have experienced since isn't encouraging me to spend the money, it's just making me resent my time spent even more.

    Fourth and finally is the sheer arrogance of the development and moderator teams. Letting cheating go on blatantly, allowing super testers to threaten other people with doxxing and cyber attacks as well as cynically doubling down on players by not making certain P2W features clear at the outset and then charging the newbie a stipend for their refusal to explain fully what's happening is just another reason to not give this game your money.

    With that being said I'm now dropping my score from a 5 to a 4. The game has its good moments it can't be denied but in the face of so much smug and psychological browbeating I cannot in good faith even give this game a score of 5.

    Wargaming you are losing players globally and unless you change your behaviour as a business this game cannot last. At least your game is free. Kind of.    … Expand

    A beautiful game, with quite good mechanics BUT the company doesnt care about user feedback and continuously pushes people to spend real money. What started as a really nice game is now a clear cash-grab

    Like all the developers games, it's great at first, then you invest and WHAM... NOT fun no more unless you pay to win... Yes, if you have money to burn, go ahead, if not walk away... It starts to be a joke no matter what your gaming skill levels are. My review is try it and you will love it.... Unless you start investing and upgrading...you will be PZZZD...

Once you start hitting tier 7,8 and higher, you'll be paying quite a lot to repair your ship. Even a great performance can be rewarded with a negative credit rating if you lose your ship.     impossibly long super grind not feasible without exp and credit boosts. At the end you will realise you need to pay more than $100 for a single ship which is about the price of a premium ship anyway.

    The game play is unbalanced, pretty stale, not much variety. A lot of patience needed.

    Absolutely not worth your time.

    Good game. Its like a shooter, but you will also have to worry about positioning your ship and steering it. Ships are not as easy to control compared to a character in your regular shooter.

    Its incredibly grindy, especially if your shooting skills are poor. You will find yourself unable to progress.

    The seas and explosions are solid.

    Matchmaking is very decent.

    Played this game for over 4 years, DO NOT MAKE MY SAME MISTAKE.
    Wargaming is the worst game developer I've ever seen (even worse than EA or Bethesda), don't fall for their sketches, they only want as much of your money as possible. If you don't believe me just type "Puerto Rico Wows Grind" and see for yourself.
