Now that they have sorted out the server issues the game is great. I changed my initial 2/10 to a perfect 10. Now that the glitches are away, this game is simply the BEST WOW since Vanilla.
Quests are crazy dynamic, Challenge is back. The art is stunning, the music is awesome and quite frankly I don't know any other game that took me by surprise as this one,... except perhaps Vanilla WOW...

Good God what changes Blizzard has made.

My first review on release was a 2, but I said that it was going to be a good expansion once it was playable and that'd I'd come back to my score at that time.

So here I am - and it's a very good expansion. Garrisons are an inspired choice and the whole thing feels fleshed out and fresh as a daisy. Is it enough to save the MMO genre? Well... no. But it will stop the drop off in

Is it enough to save the MMO genre? Well... no. But it will stop the drop off in subscriptions for Blizzard for a good 12-18 months, and at the end of the day that's all this expansion could have hoped to achieve.

Well done Blizzard. But please learn lessons from that launch - it was abysmal.

The best expansion yet,, the zones and NPC's are well done. I have played every expansion since the game came out in 2004. This one is worth buying, most of the negative reviews are people with hurt feelings that couldn't log on right awhile when the game released.

Absolutely the best expansion to date. Ignore the haters, scores of 0 are only poorly thought out attempts to bash Blizzard or troll. This expansion is FAR beyond anything they have yet to release.

Blizzard even added 5 days free time for all of us who had to sit through the faulty launch. Looking past that though, I would recommend Warlords of Draenor highly. Expand

Every person who was affected by the server outage feels like they were ripped off because they couldnt play for a couple days. They need to grow up. Truth be told this is the greatest WoW expansion since WOTLK. The innovation it brings into this already successful game make it as addictive as ever. Over time people will come to realize that and these negative reviews will be erased by a large ratio of positive:negative reviews. Expand

What are you guys talking about, WoD is so far the best and the most well polished expansion among WoW history. Those changes are so cool. There are even people who complaining about the graphic. WoW is a game designed for as many player as they can. Not everyone have the hardware to play high end graphic game. Personally I think Blizzard have tried their very best in designing the environment details.

It is so absolutely fun to play WOD that if there are some shortcomings, to make note of them would be like to make note of some fault of a plate on which a most delicious meal is served. Even the challenge bar went up a bit which is a very welcomed change.

Sure, WoW has been doing this for 10 years now but you guys need to understand how servers and expectations work. The sheer amount of people logging in has exceeded their expectations which is why you are getting issues. They can only plan for so much but they have literally seen more players logging in than they have in a great while. The expansion has helped to renew the game some and time will tell by how much.

With that said, I find the expansion to be enjoyable so far. I quit WoW when Siege of Orgrimmar came out. I just got burnt out and couldn't take the direction the game was going. I wasn't even planning on getting the expansion until my little brother talked me into it. I had to come to realize that this game lost its original hardcore nature and nothing Blizzard does, short of screwing over a lot of people, will change it. So yeah, I've been disappointed with the stat squish, over simplification of talents, dungeons being shorter, and raids being too easy. Honestly, they increased stats too much when Burning Crusade came out but I did enjoy feeling like I was getting to the point of being a raid boss myself. But despite the changes and realizing it's still a fun game I have come to enjoy the new expansion so far.

The zones look amazing. The character models while improved, didn't wow me too much, but it is nice seeing much better in-game cutscenes with the new models. The quests are standard fare but some of them are quite enjoyable. The enemies are varied and because of the stat squish they seem easier to kill which means less time when doing kill quests. I really like the Garrisons. It's nice having my own mini city where I don't have to deal with idiots in trade chat. However, I wish they weren't limited to Human and Orc styled buildings. They add another layer to the game which I find to be more enjoyable then farming or pet battles.

Granted, there have been server issues, but in the entire time of me playing I have only disconnected once. My only issue so far is waiting for the queue to get in the game. I took a nap because I have work in a few hours and now it's taking forever to get back in. But despite that, I am hopeful for this expansion. It gives us a chance to explore some very rich and interesting lore while also creating something new. To the haters, look past the server issues and play the game. Reach 100 first and see what it's like before you come on here whining about the servers and giving the game a terrible score because you want attention. Most of us don't want to deal with whiny brats.

Regardless of what you may think of Blizzard, that's pretty low. Normally I would give this game a 6 or 7, but I feel I have to give it a 10 just to help balance out the spiteful reviewers who hate a game on principle.

That said, the game is... decent. Not as amazing as WotLK or TBC was, not at all. But even if I'm Alliance(and therefore Blizzard's un-favorite), it's always nice to see a new setting. And the graphics are incomparably better than they were before, what with the character model upgrades. Also, there are quite a bit more in-game cutscenes, and I'm at least glad that they're making a NEW story instead of just "continuing Warcraft 3."

But as with every expansion, it's basically more of the same. So if you didn't like WoW to begin with, you won't likely enjoy this. But if you're a fan of WoW, you will probably find this a bit better and more "warcrafty" than Mists of Pandaria.

Please please please do your IQ a favor and COMPLETELY ignore every moron that is coming on here, less than a DAY after launch, to complain about a game that is by all accounts, the MOST SUCCESSFUL EXPANSION TO DATE.

I have seen nothing but PRAISE while questing, EVERY SINGLE PERSON in General chat that has said ANYTHING about the game so far, has said that they REALLY ENJOY IT more than they could have ever expected.

So what does that make the negative reviews on here? PURE B.S., TROLLS, and possibly HIRED BY OTHER MMOS TO TRY AND EXPLAIN AWAY THE TITAN THAT IS WOW. SORRY BUT YOU DON'T GET THE CHANCE TO EXPLAIN QUALITY GAMES AWAY, because those of us who actually PLAY it will be here to utterly, and unequivocally, CRUSH your ignorance.

This game is HIGH QUALITY from the second you step foot in Draenor, YOU WILL SEE IT FOR YOURSELF.

THINK ABOUT IT, what other MMO in the world comes even REMOTELY close in terms of END-GAME CONTENT, let alone CONTENT at all? NONE! I've played them all, NOT A SINGLE ONE comes even REMOTELY close, there is NOTHING out there. Save yourself the trouble of trying all the garbage that these trolls claim is so amazing, and just stick with the real deal, WoW is here to stay, get over it, and get with the program.

    PROS SO FAR:

-Questing is actually diverse, varied & not repetitive (this is a huge plus cause I hate questing)

    -Beautiful new zones (so far)

-Music in this expansion is epic (so far)

-Cut-scenes really put the story into perspective, and help introduce new content

-Dungeons offer more flexibility of boss order, and are actually pretty varied & fun (so far)

-New updated graphics & character models look great, but again I don't play this game for graphics, never have, but the detail & the landscaping is probably the best I've seen. Again not talking about POLYGON COUNT, just the layout in general feels very well done.

I will update this list as I play more through the expansion, you can verify that I am indeed a real player, my character name is Winterlight and I play on server Kel'Thuzad, unlike these fake negative reviews, I ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME.

As far as the launch complaints go, what the hell did you expect from the most popular MMO on Earth? I'm actually surprised we could do ANYTHING at all, considering how massively popular the launch was. Yes it was extremely laggy, but there were no bugs (unlike what some of these reviewers claim, I did not find any bugs at all, have not had any problems in questing thus far).

For people who are stupid enough to think that the number one most popular MMO for 10 years in a row is somehow "BAD" or "DYING," think about it logically, it makes no sense BY ANY METRIC WHATSOEVER. Do yourself a favor and ignore those people, and instead, PLAY the game, DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. IF ANYONE is BRAINLESS and a "SHEEP" it's the WoW haters, since it makes NO SENSE what they say regarding WoW "DYING" or that it's "BAD," it simply is not true, at all, and never has been. So who is a "SHEEP" now? I think the answer is clear, if you take the time to think logically about it, you'll find that WoW is #1 for 10 years for a damn good reason, and it's not because of "SHEEP".

If anything the launch is an indication that WoW is here to stay, and will continue to be the number one most popular MMO by leaps and bounds, there is no contest here, WoW is ahead by millions and it will stay that way for a very long time.

    FOR THE ALLIANCE.

    FOR AZEROTH!

It's worth noting that on Launch Day World of Warcraft was hit with what is referred to as a DDOS attack, this is a network hack that causes massive spikes in lag during game play and renders some of blizzard's overlapping maps corrupted. Blizzard has since repaired all of the issues and now offers subscribers 5 free days for the mishap (You may think "So what that's like $3" but $3 to every person that bought the game on or before launch date and you've got yourself a company that actually gives a crap.)

Questing: The questing is vastly more spread out and actually has you roaming more quickly throughout the entire zone rather than constantly coming back to the same village in the far northeast EVERY SINGLE TIME. ( I believe this helps the whole non-flying thing)

I loved reading the reviews that bashed on Blizzard not having "Flying" in the new world yet. You can't bash the game for both making the game easier and making it harder by not letting you fly to your designations. You have all the resources you need in your back yard of your new personal garrison and it can't possibly hurt you to actually run around for a change. KEEP IN MIND FLYING HAS NOT BEEN REMOVED IN THE ENTIRE GAME ONLY IN THE NEW ZONE RENDERING THE COMPLAINTS EVEN MORE CHILDISH

Environment: So far, after spending hours in 4 of the new zones I conclude that they really listened to us when we said we like environments that are both interactive and larger-than-life at the same time. By finally adding some new races rather than newly labeled re-colored boars and murlocs they've caught the attention of travelers that have previously been driven sick from the grind of the same old same old.

While we can all tell that Blizzard is dumbing down the game of WoW and it will never be at it's peak Grind-revolved difficulty as it once was. We can revel in knowing that Blizzard is doing this to open more people's eyes to the game that is World of Warcraft and it's end-game content (Which is easily 75% of the fun of the game)

Imagine the last time you wanted to get a friend or two to play this game and they started anew only to get sick of the **** grinding to highest level and quit on you. THIS IS WHY BLIZZARD MAKES IT EASIER. I can't imagine the amount of times I've said "Just stick it out man, i promise it gets better End-Game"

The Personal Garrison is one of the biggest, nicest, new features that they've unveiled in this new add-on and I must say it's a great breath of fresh air when it comes to questing in a new land. It's clear the Blizzard's goal was to keep you in this new area for nearly the entire game and the Garrison lets you have a literal home of your own right in the middle of the action (In other words, you leave your garrison and enter a zone full of Warfare and Hostiles in Frostfire Ridge.

Lore Related Question: How many people here liked the fact that throughout saving the world multiple times in Azeroth you are regarded among a lot of key Lore figures as "Hero" or "Commander" but for some reason never actually had anyone to order around? Like they love that you save the day but never really accept you, right? NOW YOU'VE GOT PEOPLE TO BOSS AROUND. Not just that, these people have professions, rarities, and specific abilities to help you plan your missions to get the greatest success rate and reward possible. So while you're out questing and doing what you do best you can rest assured that moves are being made back at home too! Not to mention the garrison fishing shack, garden, mine, and plots for beneficial buildings that you can personalize to make easier the way you like to play! For Instance, I don't need a bank in my base because I don't store all that much stuff but I love having a tavern with daily adventurers for extra dungeon quests.

This being said, I believe this is the best Expansion since Wrath of the Lich King and hope that Blizzard learns from some of the logical bad reviews, while sifting through the fake reviews and simply toxic people, moving forward. 8/10 in my book!

For me this expansion has so far easily been the best expansion out there and I'm thrilled I still got so much content to experience! Not being able to fly is such a great thing for me (hopefully it gets added in a few months or so though). The leveling is as complex as it should be; those who whine on the difficulty should probably wait for raid content or something. It's been years since I've been so thrilled about a game that I can't wait to get off from work to play!

Only two things I dislike in the expansion (or in WoW all together) are:
    1) Shamans suck currently
    2) My server has like +70% alliance and I'm playing horde.. I had hoped blizzard could've connected realms in a way that it would've balanced these things as my server is anyhow connected to two other realms. However all these realms seem to have the same problem so it really only made the situation worse.

The artists and designers have done a top-notch job realizing the beautiful world of Draenor and giving us interesting quests to do as we journey through it. The quests have been vastly improved from the high standard of Pandaria and you will likely be fully immersed in their lore, voice acting (there's a lot of that in this expansion), in-game cinematics, and generally better flow. Exploration is also greatly encouraged, rewarding you with rare monsters and treasure should you go off the beaten path.

They've not only improved on their questing, but have also introduced garrisons, a base that you build and expand all throughout the expansion. This experiment, which is ultimately proving to be a fun one, gives you neat stuff to do in addition to questing and also provides some more end game content for you to experience.

The obvious connection and capacity problems with the launch nonewithstanding, the only ugs I've seen are minor ones here and there, and with the exception of one for about 5 minutes, none of them were gaming breaking or prevented me from advancing.

One beef I do have with it is that the newest feature, garrisons, don't really have any cross-character management options. You'll need to spend a lot of time micromanaging each character if you want to get the most out of your garrisons. You'll also be doing missions and content multiple times to get some garrisons buildings, while others are unlocked acccount-wide. Not sure why there's a disconnect there.

This promises to be the best expansion yet. If you're a fan of World of Warcraft, I can promise you'll love this expansion. If not, it's easier than ever to get in and play using the new catch-up mechanics they've introduced in to the game to get new players up to Draenor as soon as possible.

But if you play on a low-population server like I do, you don’t notice at all past the first three hours of playing. It’s worth pointing out now that this review is for low population servers only.

When the servers launched, it was horrendously unplayable; the guy who sent you into the new expansion was missing, and when he eventually sent you through you would disconnect and end up back in Stormwind, Orgrimmar or Pandaland. The introduction zone, however, was fine, and it all seemed to be over. That is, until you hit Shadowmoon Valley or Frostfire Ridge. You’d sit in front of a hostile mob for twenty seconds before it even recognized you were there, and by the time it did notice you, another player had already killed it. This is what it was like for the first three hours of play. But there was a silver lining; the lag stopped. As soon as you got away from other players and spread across Draenor’s various zones and subzones, the lag dissipated completely; at least, it did for the low population servers. I heard terrible things from the high population servers.

If you manage to get past the three hour jam of hundreds of people wanting to do the exact same fetch and kill quests, the game becomes absolutely fantastic. I’d go so far as to say that Warlords of Draenor is the best expansion since Wrath of the Lich King. The zones are beautiful, most of the questlines are interesting and immersive, the dungeons are remarkably well designed (except the first one, screw Slag Mines) and the important NPCs are very well voice acted. I got to 100 around 6 hours ago, and encountered no problems apart from the occasional other player running through a zone aggroing all the mobs, preventing you from doing your quests for a few minutes, but it’s like that with every launch.

    Gameplay: 8/10
    Launch: 2/10
    Immersiveness: 9/10
    Graphics: 9/10

Should you subscribe? I would advise against it. I recommend buying the expansion, yes, but don’t subscribe back for a couple weeks or so. Let Blizzard fix what needs to be fixed and let players who just want to hit 100 and leave do their thing. Blizzard needs to work on their launch, but apart from that, another solid, well-rounded expansion for World of Warcraft.

They're mostly just killing crap as fast as you can. There's a couple so far that make you actually think about what needs to be done. Connection issues aside (and deducting a point for it), I'd have to say this is the best WoW expansion to play in the latter half of the game's 10 year existence! Streamlined questing never felt laborious or boring, and the stories and cinematics are both heart-string-tugging and vindiction-affirming!

I deduct another point for a few reasons: some quests were bugged and glitched in the first leveling zone, something that should have been caught by every single beta tester leveling through the game. Also, while the story thus far is more expansive and involving than I originally thought, the way they handle some characters is a little disappointing. One major character dies and is given quite the mournful reverence, another major character dies and nobody mentions it and I had to go online to be sure that they've really died. This disparity takes me out of the story a little bit, and in an MMORPG, immersion is everything.

Garrisons are an incredible new toy, even for someone who has thus far avoided playing Farmville or Clash of Clans or even the Mother Base app game accompanying Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes (and I'm a HUGE MGS fan as well). They change up the importance of professions a bit, and some feel gutted and useless now, though each profession still has enough perks that Garrisons do not provide to make the time spent leveling them feel worthwhile.

The new textures, models, and environments all lend to excellent cinematics, using both the in-game engine and pre-rendered cinematics. Some of these characters, as I mentioned before, become so endearing that you really feel their sorrow, their rage, their respect for you as a player and player character.

I've not experienced all the dungeons yet, as I've just dinged 100, though I hear they are challenging again, and the only negative is hasty players you group up with who do not respect the challenge these dungeons provide, but you can hardly hold the game accountable for its players. The Proving Grounds system is an attempt to ensure players prove their aptitude with their class before they can queue for dungeons in an attempt to create a more talented and less frustrating class of dungeon crawlers. I've yet to see if it works, but discussing the dungeons on forums seems to suggest that bad players still slip through. Perhaps Blizzard will continue down this path of forcing players to prove their worth to foster a more cooperative and friendly LFD group.

Until we see the first raid tier, the frequency of patch releases, and the furthering of the story, I'd say WoD has earned a solid 8+, with points deducted for the unfortunate but well-handled launch issues.

Server queues and lags are a rarity now. WoW is back up to 10 million players! Don't be afraid to come join us and experience an awesome expansion that surprisingly breathes life back into a franchise at risk of going stale just 6 months ago!

The 90-100 questing in Warlords of Draenor is really well done. I think the storytelling in WoW has steadily improved as Blizzard figures out new ways to tell stories within the confines of their 10 year old game. But I think they really turned a corner in Cataclysm, and as the storytelling gets better and better with each expansion.

Skimming through the quest text is enough to follow the story, since they share common threads in each zone, instead of the seemingly unrelated busy work of Vanilla and Burning Crusade. At the same time, it doesn’t FEEL like you’re tied to a rail…actually you are, but the rails are really well hidden this time around. The core quests are divided into little sectors and they’re independent enough so that there’s really no order you should do them after you clear the main areas and get quests to multiple other quest hubs. But they share common story threads from before, so it doesn’t feel like you’re just questing for questing’s sake.

All the zones are beautifully rendered and feels alive, although you don’t tend to see much other players other than near flight paths, but still each zone is vibrantly different and diverse. Having spent so much time in Shattrath in BC, it’s an awesome sight to see it in its glory, although there’s not much to do there until it turns into a quest / farming zone when you hit 100.

But the most wondrous addition to the game is a single character: Khadgar. The bland old man who just stands in one place is gone: the new Khadgar is wry, mischievous and funny, while being kick-ass at the same time. For example, in the expansion opener, the climax is when Khadgar breaks open a large dam to flood the entire region and destroy the portal leading back to Azeroth.

But at the same time, you don’t feel as if the player’s role is marginalized like in Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King, but at the same time, you don’t feel as if the player’s role is artificially inflated, like in Hyjal in Cataclysm or Siege of Orgrimmar. Khadgar spells it out for you: although he himself probably can take on anyone, including Gul’dan and Grommash by himself, he can’t take all of them at the same time, nor can he deal with the massive armies.

In Warlords, Garrison has been added as one of the main features of the expansion. It’s still not player housing, though. It kinda works a lot like one of those Facebook games, just that you’re in the thick of it interacting instead of looking at it top down. And just like those Facebook games, working on your garrison is incredibly addictive, at least for your first character, although mileage may vary.

Of course, with any games, there are always shortcomings, no matter how enjoyable they are, and Warlords of Draenor is no exception. The biggest in my book is that the game feels rather…unfinished. As if we’re playing a beta instead of an actual release. Also, the end game is rather unfocused and thin when you first hit 100.

You get one daily for Apexis Crystals, the new gear currency, which is on a meter that fills up as you kill mobs in the designated zones. You also get one weekly quest to a different zone, which also gives you one additional daily meter for Aprexis Crystals. You also get a daily fishing quest and an occasional garrison event called invasions that are on a separate invisible threat table. The daily Aprexis Crystal quests themselves feel very grindy, so afterwards, I don’t really feel like doing more reputation grinding either.

I was severely disappointed with the Proving Grounds gating mechanic. I understand if Blizzard wanted to make 5 man dungeons harder and add a gating mechanic, although I don’t agree with that tactic. But if a gate was needed, surely there would be a more engaging game play than recycling the Mists Proving Grounds.

When Proving Grounds was released in Mists, it was a niche gimmick fight that wasn’t designed for the mainstream player base – I would guess that it would have appealed to less people than the Brawler’s Guild. But now it’s used as a gate to heroic dungeons dungeon finder, which presumably has a much larger audience than Proving Grounds ever had or was intended for. One consequence is that anyone who has a problem with the mechanics of Proving Grounds is excluded from an entire tier of content, where it was freely available. And in an expansion with thin end game content to begin with, it’s a big deal.

    tl;dr
Pros: Great leveling experience, varied zones, engaging storyline, cutscenes, garrisons.
Cons: Not much things to do at level 100, endgame TOO freeform, recycled content.

Warlords of Draenor is far from perfect. It keeps a lot of the same old MMO things, raids, dungeons, questing, dailies etc. Garrison are cool but it some ways feels like Farmville where you have to check on your crops (in this case work orders) often. Garrison is ok. It is cool having a base but part of me would rather not having to worry about having one.

Blizzard buffed up the dungeon difficulty. It is fun but sometimes a bit exhausting. The personal looting system I have mixed feelings with. Sometimes I will play through a whole dungeon looting 3 gold each boss. Really 3 gold? Here is an epic boss fight and some of you died oh good job here is 3 gold. Often times I don't get gear just gold when I do get gear it is a rewarding experience.

There are a bunch of things to do at end game. Obtaining Apexis crystals, working on legendary ring quest line, dungeons, challenges, garrison, finding followers, pvp, Ashran, killing rares, finding treasures etc. I do like this. When I hit end game in Wildstar there wasn't much to do. In Warlords there is plenty which is good.

All in all I would say it is a good expansion the zones and music are beautiful and the gameplay has been simplified which I think is a good thing. Overall 8/10 at launch.

This is quite potentially the best WoW expansion yet, which is a welcome addition after Cataclysm and Pandaria. While you might want to wait a few days before jumping into the beautiful world of Draenor so as to avoid the abysmally long queue and other server issues, if you've ever played WoW or have ever been interested, this expansion demands your immediate attention. The battlegroups should be implemented for Ashran so it's actually not a campout due to server population ratios, but that's a minor complaint.

Again, don't listen to a single red review based on queue times. They should be posted as a review on Blizzard, not WoD

I really like the way Blizzard is going with this game. They've really eyeballed the prize here with the removal of flight, the demonetization of tradeskills to kill farming bots and the addition of some good old forced perspective questlines. There's moving over to a questgiver only to see her blown up by artillery fire, the only reminder a small pair of smoking boots that, upon clicked, give a cool little reward. Neat.

    Graphics: 9/10.
This is a ten year old game, yet the engine is holding up remarkably well. Historically, wow has always been a very CPU intensive game. With the latest patch, the load has been switched to the GPU giving better load times, smoother graphics and crisp textures. Player models were recently updated, meaning that your character no longer shares a polygon count with Grumby.

    Gameplay: 8/10
Flight has always been a major factor in the disappearance of player interaction. Existing since BC, players could simply hop on their flying mounts and escape whatever the game or other players could throw at them. In Draenor, player controlled flying mounts are no more. World PVP is at an all time high. General chat is filled with players **** about enemies and forming groups to take down said enemies. The tears are sweet enough for even the pope to lick his lips and salivate.

    Story: 10/10.
WoW's storyline has improved dramatically with Warlords of Draenor. No longer does it resemble something of a joke - there are actually some pretty twisty game of thrones moments now. Characters that were often thought of as "mary-sue"s are meeting gruesome ends left and right. Warlords of Draenor is a massive departure from "Panda fairy land".

Going to Draenor was an absolute blast, although I am only level 97, i have already spent about 48 in game hours doing so, you might think that's a shockingly large amount of time to spend for only 7 hours, but there's just so much to do. When I first stormed the Dark Portal I thought to myself "This is the most epic thing WoW has ever put together" It was fast paced and explosive, all the Warlords introductions were satisfying and terrifying, as soon as I went through the portal, I completely forgot I even existed outside of the game, the immersion level was absolutely stellar.
I spent hours upon hours in my Garrison, experimenting with buildings , giving my followers jobs, collecting materials, going on scouting missions, It was such a blast and its so well implemented, every follower you get will have a rarity much like WoW's in game loot, so two players must have the same follower but 1 of them might be better, adds a little flavor.
The storyline in this expansion is the ABSOLUTE best, wow, the in game cutscenes and storytelling were top notch, plenty of new characters you are introduced too, and I was brought to tears a couple of times during my questing experience. The storytelling is absolutely on par with bioware's greatest moments this expansion, the Battle for Shattrath was heartwrenching and epic, I watched the cinematic about 40 times after I beat it.
WoD is absolutely loaded with treasure, Ill give you an example, while walking around in Spires of Arak, I found a "Shadow Elixir" I didn't think much of it, but later on I found a shrine that appeared on my mini map, I sat there unknowing what to do, till I glanced at my elixir. I drank it and I phased out into an alternate shadowy universe where I found a Polearm imbedded in the ground, I right clicked on it, and was rewarded with an amazing epic 2 handed polearm, it was cool to accidentally stumble across something like that, Rather than spending weeks farming.
So far this has been my favorite expansion, I am soaking everything in and taking my sweet time getting to level 100,

WoD raises the bar for MMO storytelling while fixing many of the criticism WoW has faced in the past, the updated character models and graphics provide a deeper immersive experience.

For all that, I think the lack of flying has attributed most to my enjoyment. So many of the small details are lost when gliding over zones, as convenient as it may be. I can't say I'm looking forward to its return in a future patch.

So actually playing the game if you can get on ( World server down ) pending. The quest line into Draenor is not that bad I suppose how ever the bugs and glitches just took me out of the immersion. For example quest chains that break. Garrisons have been very fun edition and so forward liking them alot. Unfortunately again glitches and bugs kill the experience. For example, last night anyone heading into their own garrisons we all caught into a bug which pretty much froze us into the phase and was just a pure buggy mess

Mainly just technical issues are the main issue. This would be expected if it was any other MMO as this is quite common, but this is Blizzard we are talking about. They take 5x the time to polish games and yet they still drop the ball as if it was not expected. Which is quite dishearting. For how much they've low balled expansion after expansion with more wait between patches and less content each expansion.

However, with all the negativity aside, I am sure once all the smoke clears this game will be somewhat enjoyable. If its like the vanilla/BC/Wrath or even for some Cata ( I loved Cata) experience we all know and love , or the Mists sell out garbage that we might now come to expect from blizzard. A lot of effort has been put into forging the world to reward exploration, which is one of my favorite aspects. For example, treasures are hidden in visually inaccessible areas, and players are rewarded for finding the route to these seemingly unreachable places. Plenty of endgame content will also keep you occupied, whether you're raiding, doing dungeons or maintaining your garrison. Challenging Heroic Dungeons with the extra step of doing Challenge Mode means that you will have hours of enjoyment on end. The new and rebuilt character models look frankly amazing - each of their animations complimenting their new poly counts. Some unnecessary clutter from classes has been removed - but in my opinion this is a definite thumbs up as the classes are easier to learn but harder to master. So whether your new to MMO Gaming or a seasoned veteran this is definitely - at least in my opinion - the best WoW expansion ever made. Well done Blizzard!

RANT ALERT -You guys (at least the majority) are complete morons. In fact, you (life forms) are so simple I can split you into 2 stereotypes: those who give the game a 0 because there is lag on launch and those who give the game a 0 because it is too easy. Let's combat both of these irrelevant points, shall we? To begin with, even though the lag WAS bad you don't review a game based on it. That's like reviewing a movie badly because the tickets sold out before you could buy them. The lag wasn't great at all, but that does not detract from the actual quality of the expansion for the next 2 or so years of its existence. Secondly (and this is the point that annoys me the most) is people saying that this expansion is "too easy" or "dumbed down for five year old's". Wrong! Sure, some of the content like questing or finding treasures is easy enough for casual players, but try getting a Gold Challenge Mode medal and telling me that's easy on ANY of the dungeons. In fact, you saying the expansion is too easy is simply proving that you're bad at the game. You aren't good enough to try the harder content, so you only play normal dungeons or quest. "Oh, it's to easy"! Wrong. You're just too bad at the game. Please, don't be idiots when reviewing this expansion.

As for all the ZERO's.... **** please.... Even the worst expansion that was MoP didn't deserve a Zero score. Giving the game a Zero doesn't say that the game is bad (IMO a ZERO score game would be something like Ride to Hell).

By giving aZero you say two things :

    B) You don't like the game

The fact that you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad. People Like Justin Bieber, does it make him a top class singer? No it doesn't.

Best expansion since Wrath of the Lich King! Although the launch was terrible now that the servers are stable and I've had a chance to play I must say great job Blizzard!

Very solid new expansion that provides a whole lot of new content and comes with a level 90 character boost to get you RIGHT into the action! Most of the negative reviews on here are mainly people complaining about the day one server issues without any actual feedback about the game.

Despite the launch issues, WoD feels like Blizzard's most ambitious expansion. The game successfully navigates away from rote questing, and moves towards actual, meaningful storytelling interwoven with non-quest encounters that keep the experience fresh. It feels more like an "open world game" than ever before, and I'm looking forward to progressing through the endgame content.

First off...the trolls are giving out "zero" rated reviews because hackers DDOS attacked Blizzard on launch day. I'm a long term WoW vet and this xpac is the cat's pajamas. The garrison experience is great, quests are more story driven, dungeons are hard, heroics are painful, the music is better than FFXIV, and Draenor is beautiful. If you loved WoW during it's glory days you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't pick this game up. Expand

One of the best expansions for far, imo TBC still the best tho.

Even tho Blizzard is a multi-million dollar company they can't prevent the ddos attacks, the problem is solved already and the game is already playable. Very good game

The game is not really a 10, it's more like an 8, but I'm giving it a 10 to counterbalance all these stupid zero scores. The bottom line is that I hadn't played WOW for a couple of years, but this expansion has brought me back, and so far I'm loving it.

Granted the launch has had an awful amount of issues but deep beneath that mess is one great expansion that people will really enjoy when the issues die down.

When it's working Warlords of Draenor makes World of Warcraft feel fresh. However, I can only advise people who are undecided as yet is to hold back on purchase for a week or so from today (14th November) to enjoy it to it's

Level 100 and enjoyed the questing like 100 times more than Pandaria, and as a PvP Player, Ashran is pretty awesome at the moment.. so far so epic, don't miss out! :)

It disappoints me to see so many reviews based on one day of glitchy play. Leveling is fun again, the change in the XP curve means that it doesn't feel like a thankless grind, but it still certainly takes work. Other reviews claiming "90%" of people will be 100 in a day are laughable - plenty of people hit 100 over the weekend, myself included, but the vast majority of the playerbase is not 100 yet.
Questing is engaging, there are fewer quests in each zone but they have more story and are more rewarding, making it really feel like you're having an impact on the world. You can quest in each zone to completion without quests turning grey, and it really guides you through the world, showing it off (and it is gorgeous, worth showing off). Multiple rare spawns in each zone are a fun an interesting dynamic, and the random chance for an item to "upgrade" means that even quest greens can turn into worthwhile gear.
Garrisons are fun and engaging, and make you feel like you're a real part of the world. They give you things to do each day that make logging on fun, without giving you an endless slew of dailies.
All in all I absolutely recommend this to anyone... after the disappointment of MoP and the bigger disappointment of Cata, this feels like WoW again!

I have been playing this expansion a Whole day now, and I will say. It is my favorite since WOTLK.
The Garrison system is refreshing for WOW, that I love sending some of friends out to do the dirty Work, and reward me with XP, gold etc.

the dungeons is cool, and the OST (Like always) is amazing, compressed)

The areas is a nice detailed. Reminds me of Outland but Better. ( I said it)
What I DO HATE with this expansion and pre-patch is lvlin is to easy now. You can hit start from lvl 1 to 30 in 2 hours.

But I really can't describe this expansion that much for you, I can't enter the World due to Lagg and Queue.
But what I tried, it feels fantastic.

I will wait some weeks and you are good to go to feel the freshness in this expansion

+Huge areas, lovely quests, Garrison is a nice touch, professions is fun, rare mobs everywhere to provide decent loots, dungeons is fun and detailed and the Soundtrack is better than all the others combined(not really, every Expansion have some favorite soundtracks and not so favorite)

-The long Queue, lagg everywhere you go, to easy lvlin.

Pick this up, when it's time! when the server have been fixed, Now I will go play some Halo remastered 1-4 on my Xbox one ^^

    You take care!

This expansion doesn't deserve 0. It's by far the best expansion that has been released in WoW history.
IF you don't take the horrible launch into account with so many issues.
Draenor is beautiful. The quests are more varied now and they're quite fun to complete, there are many plot-twists in the quests, which makes you more aware of the little details during a quest. I've actually

I've actually also laughed a bit at some of the quests, for example; there is a quest where you need to help a kid get his "women in underwear" calendar, it was so out of place and setting, making a comic situation. Garrisons give the whole game a new aspect, making crucial choices to your economy and progression depends on you figuring out the best plan for implementing upgrades and buildings.

PVP is better than ever at lvl 100, healers are not one man armies anymore and there has been made a lot of balancing changes for the better across the board.

PVE (as of now, only dungeons) is awesome. Dungeons in WoD are difficult on heroic mode, you really have to focus and do everything right. You can't just stand auto-attack as you did in MoP.

That was just was stroke my mind. I'm pissed as hell on Blizzard because of the terrible excuse of a launch. But the content itself is the best I've ever seen.

Also to the 1%'er that say the games to easy. Wildstar will be happy to take your money. Or any other eastern mmo. There are more casuals than hardcore and there are plenty of raids.

What I here is a great example of Popular Opinion. Everyone that left a zero rating is not the honest way to review a game for others to see. The game is very good. I've played for 3+ years. My honest opinion of the game is 8.5 but due to people getting all but hurt about it. I graded it a 10.

Not perfect, but it is, and I know this has been said before, the best one yet, if you look past the nostalgia glasses. I would not normally give a 10/10, but all the people that ragequit WoW after 3 days of serverproblems giving 0, this kinda evens it out.

My quarrel with Warlords of Draenor is that it does not define the direction for the whole game – it just refreshes it and sets it in order, which is what patches do. There’s not enough novelties and the changes (e.g. randomized loot) are hit and miss. [01/2015, p.52]
