    It's got trolls, it's got Mesoamerican art and architecture and its got dinosaurs. What more do you need? 13/10 Would recommend. I'm sure there's some good Alliance stuff too, but whatever. For the Horde!

    The expansion is great.. It has good structure but it has no endgame content released yet (like all wow expansions you got to wait for endgame content to come out... But the zones the music the atmosphere is just well done. Ability pruning is not as bad as other posters make it out to seem how many abilities that do the same thing do you need? It was a balancing change one i support. Did IThe expansion is great..     At the announcement I was not a big fan of the ideas the had going forward with World of Warcraft, but now that its here and you can play it, they really did a great job. The story is amazing and engaging. Every quest is full of love and well crafted. Sure, we have to wait and see, if they are able to keep the high quality standards of Legion, but we are off at an amazing start. Well done Blizzard

    I'm not that far yet into this expansion, but playing as Horde, man what a great zone design. Quest lines are fun to play (especially when taking time appreciating the lore and inside jokes) and I can't wait getting into dungeons and Island expeditions. Great work Blizz (final review pending) !!

    it's a good expansion, played 8-12hrs a day since release and I've got a hard time trying to run out of content ever since m+ released
    there are some kinks, I don't like certain aspect, but it's sure as hell a **** 10 from me because I'm not some casual scrublord who can't even handle doing content

    Please don't believe the user score. BFA is an amazing expansion! Zones are beautiful, questing was fun and engaging, end game has plenty of content and there's lots to do if you don't have the time to raid.

    It's a shame how people keep throwing this game down the drain. I have played countless MMO's, ALL of which have the same formula so why does WoW have to be slammed? It's pretty much exactly the way things were since the beginning. The zones are beautiful, the two faction zones are interesting, it's the same. It's like complaining about call of duty because all you do is use guns. It'sIt's a shame how people keep throwing this game down the drain.     I do agree that quests get really bland, and some story elements and character archs don't make sense, but there is a lot of fun and content to be had if you like Warcraft. If you like Legion, you'll love BfA. If you hate WOTLK then you'll despise BfA.    … Expand

    Miglioramento grafico, social ben strutturato grazie ai nuovi canali dei gruppi multiserver, storia decisamente migliore rispetto un legion. La copertina ripresa da orcs and humans sembra un ritorno alle origini, consiglio a tutti sopratutto dopo un lancio xosi perfetto al dayone.

    I don't think it is fair to judge the game based on the client/server issues it has experienced. It is a shame that Blizzard did not foresee this nonetheless I think this is a great expansion. Once you start playing it you feel like you're 16 again playing Burning Crusade of Wrath of the Lich King. The mechanics and visual aspects just look amazing.     Great!I am not against that this game is old and had lost lot of players but this expansion is really good .I am a WOW player for 7 years and this the best expansion since i started playing.The story is good and they have given tons of emotes in the game .The graphics is good and overall the game is one of the best game of 2018

    Absolutely loving it, as of 8.0. Maining Horde, but having played both factions, the stories of the Zandalari have captured my heart in loving embrace. The music, the voice acting, the zones and the atmosphere itself - all are fantastic. Comparative to previous expansions, even the launch was smooth.

    Honestly, the hate toward this xpac is unfounded. This is perhaps my favourite yet,    Absolutely loving it, as of 8.0.     Came here cause of a forum thread on the wow forums. I honestly don't understand all this hate at all.. I am absolutely loving the game so far. The zones and story has completely sucked me in and my warrior feels more fun to play than it did back in highmaul. I am kinda sad they didn't make gladiator a real spec though haha.. the one good thing about warlords of draenor warrior.

    I had intended to leave my review of the game which I find to currently be around an 8/10. However, the first review I see is a 0 rated review that just spams the words "The worst game ever" over and over. And quite a few other reviews under it. Clearly this game is not actually the worst game to ever exist.     I have been playing WoW on and off since Vanilla back in 2004. I'm now in my mid 20s with a full time job, and i can tell you that playing casually for a few hours a night is a great experience, regardless of the expansion. All these go hard, no life gamers who basically speed run through any new content and then complain they have nothing else to do have bigger problems than the ones with the game. Simply put, they need a life.

    Not everyone will grind this game day in and day out and run out of content in 3 days. Not everyone runs macros and treats the game like a job. In fact im willing to be most people play casually. And thats what games are for... to play casually and have fun. Which this game has plenty of. Sure, some the class changes dont tickle my fancy ( i play Disc Priest and the spells got a little **** with the latest patch) but even so I was able to adapt in probably 30 min of CASUAL play.

    So enough with the 0 score reviews, enough with the baseless complaining, because all you're doing is ruining the work of people who put thousands of hours of work into making this game, and basically spitting in their face.

    Enjoy the game, stop complaining, or if you dont like it ask for your money back, and stfu and go play fortnite.

    Cостоянием на сегодня большая часть багов пофикшена, новый рейд (в отличии от Ульдира) весьма интересен и не прост. Игра выравниваеться, это не Легион но все еще лучшая ММОРПГ на рынке.

    В дополнении потрясающий сюжет и история. Много интересных механик и идея. 9 из 10 т к мало пвп контента и всё слишком казуально.

    One of the best addons in the history of World of Warcraft! We have received Zandalar and we have received Kul Tiras. Locations are best ever made. Nazmir and Blood Trolls are perfect. The Battle for Dazar'Alor is one of the best raids in WoW. (I hope that Nazjatar with its raid to Azjara will be also great).     The graphics are getting better and better. new textures and animations. But I look forward to processing the mechanics of the game. It would be better done harder.

    I have my own way to play WoW, I'm collecting Mounts, often in old content areas and leveling many alts. I really loved the world and setting of BfAand therefore I rated the game with a 10.

    Many people rate the content, bugs. It wasn't really relevant to me, I've done like 3 or 4 island expeditions in the entire BfA time and few warfronts to get my mounts. I'm not a mythic raider.

    В общем, оценку несколько завысил, так как тройка, мягко говоря, не объективная. В самом начале этот аддон казался достаточно плохим, за что и словил оценки такие, но сейчас, если судить "объективно", то вышло все вполне себе, сюжета много, сам качаю ордынского дк, дабы просмотреть, а шо там у красных, локации достаточно приятные, всякого рода макеты есть, если вы из этих, чтоб набить шмотВ общем, оценку несколько завысил, так как тройка, мягко говоря, не объективная.     Я играю WOW с ВОТЛК , и могу сказать , что БФА хороший , а в некоторых местах отличный аддон , прикольные квесты , хорошие рейды , сюжет местами конечно хромает (он давно хромает , а не с БФА) , но в основном приятно погружает в историю новых островов и взаимодействие персонажей .

    as a roleplayer having more races is a blessing, and this expansion is where I actually tried doing mythics, maybe because I only did them for a while got this expansion a 10, because I have a lot of good memories with it, mostly because I met a guild that is sooo f-ing amazing

    It still is my the most favorite expansion in the history of the WoW. It was very great. There were real advantures and real atmosphere of global conflict. There was a lot of dramatism in the plot which was making you totally involved into the game. You even could choose the side of an evel "nazi" regime and to feel how it is to be on this side.     Each continent has 3 zones and as many quests as Legions leveling (4 zones). Twice as many quests as most expansions.
    Dungeons are excellent. War Mode is awesome. Music is possibly the best yet. Islands are fun, though I think they will get old. Warfronts arent out, but I tried them on beta. They are just okay. 2 big gripes with the expansion.    The zones are gorgeous and Huge.

    So the Story starts off fighting in a raid group battle the dark elf Sylvana's Windrunner, is the leader Horde and you fight off her army and once you are finish with that you return to Storm wind and is greeted by Iron Dwarf travel to his realm use Amulet to absorb all the light that is left in the temple to save his kingdom from dying from Sylvana's Windrunner army but ok otherwise people be upset the severs not working the first day I got disconnected a lot 40 or more that because there millions of Wow users playing the game I just got back on it im enjoying a lot from the story I'm giving blizzard credit were it is due this summary sort review im not finish with this game Im am an enjoying like anyone else that way my friend on psn can look at this winter play with me.

    Im getting all my blacksmithing and everything else so no likes then dont play or buy it.

The leveling experience is some of the best that has ever come out of WoW and for a game as old as it is the zones and enemies look amazing. My criticism would be that the game has took much reliance on World Quest grinding which you will spend a lot of time doing at end game, and Warfronts + Island expeditions get a bitThis expansion definitely doesn't deserve the 1 ratings its getting. BfA is almost as good as Wrath of the Lich King; Blizzard's raid game is still good, there's more content than ever before, outstanding cinematics, faction identity is considered and so is it to classes.     The stories while leveling are great, so much to them and easy to follow.

Its clear that the negative feedback/frustrations from players last expansion over long patches of content drought was heard by the Devs and they've inserted much more variety of content into this expansion, perhaps maybe TOO many things to do/directions to be pulled, as it seems some of the systems aren't polished and require constant adjustments. I don't doubt these wrinkles will be ironed out as the expansion continues. But the introduction of a variety of Allied Races has been great, I personally cannot wait to play a Zandalari Troll Druid.

    Island Expeditions are a creative way to bring old expansion content/mob types into BfA while offering unique pets/toys/transmog set rewards. I hope to see more variety, perhaps special events (large scale PVP or seasonal islands) mixed in. Im neutral on Warfronts atm, I see those more for gearing alts as the expansion continues as most people's main characters are well above the 340 gear that drops.

    During legion many players were frustrated that abilities and spells were being removed, we no longer had raid buffs, our classes were slowly creeping towards 3-button rotations. I've been happy to see that slowly being reversed, and spells/buffs being reintroduced back to classes. I hope that trend continues and that player have more variety regarding talents/spec choices, etc. The Azerite system was an interesting concept as a possible fix for the issues players were having with carrying multiple gear sets and being forced to farm certain content for 1 item... but I don't think its a well-received nor successful replacement. Traits are unbalanced and we're still having to carry multiple azerite pieces around for different encounters. Additionally, classes with healing/tank offspecs have to carry around even more pieces as they're seeking out the best traits.

    In regards to the zones themselves, the art team has continued to just keep making better and more beautiful zones with each expansion. It was very nostalgic to once again have these expansive and big "main" city with Boralus and Dazar'alor. The music and ambiance is excellent, the variety of creatures and NPCs is refreshing, especially after a legion of puke green fel splattered over literally everything. The dungeons and interior of Uldir is equally as impressive.

    * On a side note about the negative user reviews below- its quite obvious that most of them are viewers of a certain popular WOW streamer on Twitch- not only from the time of the posts (he visited the site on stream), but because most of them are over dramatic, over-generalizations about how EVERYTHING sucks in the game and "OMG BfA is so bad blah blah blah" (but don't really lists specifics, nor can they come up with 1 positive thing about the expansion). Its unfortunate that they are being given platforms to express their specific concerns with the game, say how they believe it should be fixed... and instead they just want to jump on the "I hate this game, gamers rise up, lets stick it to Blizzard" hate-wagon, drop a 0 review on every review platform they can find, and then log back into the game and continue to play while they farm Reddit karma and wait for a transmog contest.

    I don't believe these streamers want this of their community, these streamers LOVE this game, its a huge part of their life, they want it to work. They want their concerns and voices heard, valued, and their suggestions for improvement taken seriously, in an attempt at hopefully improving some of these issues so more people can continue playing the game.

    All the trolling posters, going around spamming 0 reviews on every website is going to do is dilute the reviews/feedback with actual listings of frustrations, issues, concerns, and suggestions- making it even harder for Blizzard to "hear" your concerns.

    Edit #1- I didn't mean to imply "every single bad review" as I referenced that the streamer was just currently on the Metacritic site. i know this because I was a viewer in the chat at the time and watched the reviews going up during that time period. I will accept that I could have worded it better as to what "group" of 0 reviews within the list I was directly referring to.

    Ever since Warlords of Draenor, the quests are involved, immersive and very fun to do, which makes the fetch-questy aspects of them very tolerable. The story was very involved and well written.     Definitely an extremely fun game to play. Seemingly always updated to keep it fun - Battle For Azeroth has to be my favorite game right now. Wouldn't hurt to make the loading times a bit faster, but not everything can be perfect. 9/10.

    Lots to do and generally interesting content. Story not loved by everyone and the visuals are below average for WoW but still some of WoW's best ever original content though - horrific visions were amazing, and the mythic+ seasons/affixes were great.

    For the beginning of the expansion, it's been pretty good. I like the story a lot especially the alliance side. The questing zones have been great and filled with great music, the only bad thing is the overload of unnecessary side quests that takes even more time. The dungeons have some personality to them and are fun to do. I can't wait to get more content as the expansion goes along.

Completing this content rewards you with new and better gear for your character hense increasing its power.

    One of world of warcrafts perks is it doesn't require amazing PC specs to run. Its graphics are simplistic and almost cartoony at time but there is detail where needed. However, some of the graphics in the zone created in the early stages of the game can look quite outdated which could off put some players as its where your characters level through initially. Overall the graphics in the game suit the feel and match the mechanics and abilities well.

    WoW releases Expansions to the game every 2 years that include a new continent or zones to level your character and raise the level cap of your characters. These expansions add an abundance of new content to the game throughout their life cycles. Within each expansion there are normally 2-4 major patches adding more major content such as new raids and dungeons as well as up to 4 minor patches that add new features and content to the game but in a lesser quantity. Each of these expansions cost upwards of £30 on top of the subscription fee of £10/month. Some find this too expensive for a game and have issue with the fact that it's so much money but to the hardcore player it is worth it for the sheer number of hours of play spent on the game.

    The narrative of the warcraft games is well known to be one of the best and most complex and intricate of any game. The shear amount of small intricate stories in each zone mixed in with the greater narrative of the game makes the world really feel alive. There is always something to discover as a new player or a veteran the immense amount of small details and stories are impressive to say the least.

    The user interface of world of warcraft is simple and easy for a new player to pick up although can be modified by add-ons or key binds to make things more efficient for the experienced player. There are many addons that can be used on world of warcraft that improve visual aspects or quality of life improvements.

    Overall world of warcraft is an extremely versatile game with many aspects to it for many types of player. However, the game does still have elements it could improve on. Many experienced players have been complaining about how simple the gearing system is currently and how receiving items doesn't fell as rewarding as it used to. This is defiantly an issue in my eyes, I feel the game caters slightly to the casual audience in all aspects of the end-game experience and makes it very simple to improve your gear with little skill. Hopefully in the future this can be changed to reward the players at a higher level more in a more suited way.

    Another issue is depending on what your style of gameplay is the game can have spells of down time and waiting around that feel very unfun and not rewarding for your time at all. (although most of the content isn't this way)

    I would give World of Warcraft a 7.8 out of ten it is a great fantasy MMO that is very inclusive but could be seen as relatively niche in style and gameplay.    … Expand

    Cons: I am not a fan of the warfronts, personal, loot, or islands. I also wish they didn't remove tier sets.

    Pros:

    Beautiful new areas to explore (I'd say moreso for Horde than Alliance). The entire Zandalari area has to be one of my favourites of all time, it reminds me very strongly of the Dinotopia book I had as a child. The art team have obviously put a great amount of care into the world.

    Exciting new content. There's a lot of fun new content. I'd say enough to warrant the price tag. I sunk hours into the game, following the various storylines, new dungeons and raids.

    Cons:

    Somehow I felt more railroaded than usual during BFA. That sense of playing out my own adventure that some expansions have had was sort of missing here? In part because everybody was playing the part of 'the chosen one' with the azurite amulet. In places I felt like I wanted to take a different path storywise, but the story carried on and I had no choice but to go along with it.

    My character felt more like a plot device to further the NPC's story arcs than a character free to go where and do what I wanted to do. This is why I hopped back to Classic WoW.

    Everything is easy. With enemy scaling, I never felt like anything was a challenge. This was something else WoW Classic excels in. In Classic, everything feels more challenging and as a result, progressing in the game feels more rewarding.

    Conclusion

    Overall I enjoyed this expansion, but it does seem like Blizzard is becoming more EA Activision and less Blizzard by the day. I want to see more charm and challenge from a WoW expansion.    … Expand

    8.3 content wise was again nice, but the loot changes like the removal of titanforge or the idea that really only raids drop viable gear for all content is idiotic and made this patch largely raid or die so I just cba playing it after a while. Also while corruption was fun for the first few weeks it was just stupid how much dmg some of them did. (mind you corruptions were random effects with no way to work towards a specific one, vendor was added later when it was already anyway).
    Overall however if we summarize all patches, BfA was a nice expansion and the base content(maps, story, art/music) were fun if to play through.    … Expand

    The zones are fantastic, with war mode I happily run about getting in to fights for some boredom busting.

    New dungeons are solid and mostly, well thought out, the first raid is a little disappointing unfortunately, with fights having little mechanics.

    Even if the War Campaign had been given the time it needed, the story itself was frustrating from the start. No one wanted another expac with the Horde as the villain. It doesn't matter that they had lots of pretty cinematics planned, or a fist-pumping twist - no one wanted this!

    In patches, however, Blizz has done their best to redeem that terribly rocky start. By now, in 8.2.5, the game feels pretty good to play. Island expeditions are actually fun. Azerite armor is.... less terrible. The Essence system is fun, although a nightmare for alts. And 8.3 looks to be even better.

    This expansion shook players confidence in Blizzard's ability to learn from the past. No one expected such a massive regression. But in the time since, Blizz has shown they can, sometimes, just a little, learn from their mistakes.

    Only time will tell if we remember this as the expansion where WoW finally jumped the shark. But for the moment, I'm having fun.    … Expand

    It's a difficult one to rate. There's many good and bad aspects. The new areas are beautiful and detailed, interesting to explore. The expansion focuses more on story than most previous expansions and playing those story scenarios have been a big plus for me.

    Horde is heavily favored in this expansion, from story, to areas, and even items and mounts, all are more detailed and varied for the horde. Alliances experience is a bit more bland, and somewhat cartoony in areas such as Stormsong valley.

    Dungeons have been varied, and they are trying to incorporate more raid mechanics into the dungeon boss fights. This makes it great as practice for upcoming raids if you've been away from wow for a few months or years. But there's one big issue with the dungeons, the balancing between normal, heroic and mythic is completely off. You can spend days/weeks in normals, while leveling, once you're 120, you'll spend maybe a day on heroics and then there's no incentive to ever do heroics again. The dungeon finder becomes completely useless, since you'll only be interested in mythics, which don't use the raid finder. So you'll need a group of friends, fly to the dungeon, and pretend it's a raid. This removes all quality of life they've introduced since WotLK. Right now, only a few weeks after release, mythics are easy with all the gear thrown at us, so a random group with the right ilevel is easily possible. So this restriction is really just an inconvenience.

    Only one raid has released so far, but we flew through it with relative ease. And unfortunately, unlike everything else so far, has had very little storytelling (without reading up outside of the game). The boss encounters are hit or miss, some are great and require a well coordinated team, but some clearly had no thought put into them. Heroic was a little more interesting, and was somewhat of a challenge, but we did it in the first week of release. The raid itself seems somewhat bland in comparison to the detailed areas we explored in the new areas of Zandalar. I find myself not interested in running the raid again, the ease with which we ran through it ruined the experience.

    Island expeditions are introduced as a pve(simulated pvp) or pvp, offering very little outside of leveling your necklace for the first week or two.

    The new war campaign instance is practically pvp but for some reason is pve only. Similar to alterac valley but pve only. It's extremely drawn out, taking up to 40min. There is very little reason to do this more than once, to get your 370 ilvl cache. And worst of all, in order to access it, players need to give up their hard earned crafting materials.

    This is the quickest I've become bored after doing all end game content. Very little left to do until new raids are out (and hopefully new questing areas). The only thing left to do is run higher and higher mythic+ dungeons and I've run those instances more than enough now.

    Despite the new warmode, which turns any area into PVP

    World quests started off interesting, and the rewards scaled for a short period. But they quickly become a means of grinding rep and nothing more. The mission table gives such menial rewards that it's not worth doing either, and is so awkwardly placed that you can get the same amount of rep that an 8hour mission would take, in the time it would take to get to the table by doing a world quest.

    On the one hand I feel like Blizzard are trying to drag things out so that you will subscribe for longer, but those efforts are also undermined by the various ways to overcome it, which also ruins the usefulness of the new endgame content they've provided. It contradicts itself. The longer you wait to play it, the easier it will become to level and breeze through end game content.    … Expand

Warfronts are a missed opportunity. Azerite armor was made to keep the end game progression alive outside gearing but turned out to be a headache of chasing the best traits with limited sources & ways of doing so.

    Like all MMO's you can't judge an expansion this early on, I'm sure BfA with its 77 patch day cycle will be a good expansion at the end just like Legion. Sadly the early days have been a cluster with bugs and terrible systems.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This expansion is not ideal, but also it does not deserve red marks from dissatisfied troll army (not Horde, just trolls).
    Things, that Legion was criticized for, were corrected in one way or another. Omnipresent random in looting legendaries was replaced by azerit armor and traits.
    World Quest system and Mythic+ dungeons were saved almost unchanged as they were quite well received by the audience.
    Storyline has divided big part of players into the Alliance or Horde fans, and what is good for first ones also is absolutely unacceptable for another part. And this is normal, WoW always was a story about war, opposition and competition, not friendship, peace or pacifism.

    What do we have now, except M+ and WQ? Very strange Islands system, which has lots of rewards, but no chance to get them (only reputation items and doubloons for 50+ expeditions).
    Dungeons, were trash is much more dangerous, than bosses themselves (Shrine and Underrot for example).
    Broken crafting system, that forces players to take crafting for their own type of armor, which is strange at least.
    Disappointing fronts, which are not competitive, just long scenario with pathetic realization and free epics for one of sides.
    Warmode system with really bad phasing and balancing, so there is very often situation, were you just one against army of other side, which leads to respkill and other FUNNY game-play. Or not?

    Also we have a lot of content (also divided for fraction, so Uldir Raid has no prerequisites for Alliance) on leveling, but on cap there is not so much what to do. No content for passive playstyle players (like it was with fishing or cooking earlier), just lots of grind and farm.

    Hope, developers can fix bugs, exploits and glitches, so biggest part of the expansion is in the future. Only because of that mark is not 4 or 5, Blizzard can rework really much, like it was in WoD with very bad start. WoW is not dead, but it needs us and more our support, not only criticism.    … Expand

    This is by no means a perfect game. There are some issues with it. However, I believe that the pro's most definitely outweigh the cons. I am still enjoying the game, and have been playing since the launch. If blizzard fixes the larger issues, then this expansion could easily be a 9/10.

And I feel like this love affair is coming to an end, It's breaking myI am not going to go into too much detail. I don't even know if I can pinpoint what I don't like about this expansion.     Overall my rating remains the same mainly because Azerite is still a pretty **** system and classes haven't received much other than some token Azerite "essence" abilities and balancing.

    Here's hoping that they focus on important **** next expansion instead of shoe-horning in half baked gimmicks.

    I can't help but feel like most of this expansion is attempting (and failing) to replace what we had in Legion. As others have stated, the art and raids have all taken a leap forward from Legion, but everything else has taken 3 steps backwards.

    Arguably the overall worst part of this expansion has been the changes made to classes. They have been gutted from Legion without anything added to replace what was lost. Every spec feels less fun to play and less powerful and I'm still not sure what all this was for. Classes were released in an unbalanced mess and months later they are still unbalanced. Then there was the whole debacle about Shamans and Shadow Priests being released in completely broken states because of lack of time before release. In fact the entire expansion feels rushed. "Beta for Azeroth" indeed.

    The zones are very pretty, and a players experiencing them while questing from 110 to 120 will enjoy the time up until max level content. The first raid is also good although the abolition of raid sets is awful. The two new cities are huge and feel epic.

    Warmode is the only reason I haven't slated this game with a largely negative score. World PvP has been in complete disrepair for many expansions, but Warmode is the best thing added to this game in since Mythic Keystones (*if you're into PvP). Some of my only good memories of this expansion are PvP brawls in the open world. Players fight to complete world quests and kill rares. The best part being that you can opt in or out of PvP at a moments notice if you just want to do Mythic dungeons or world quests in peace.

    Azerite gear is the new "gimmick" of this expansion and dreadful in its design. Nobody asked for it and nobody likes it. This is paired hand in hand with the "artifact power" grind of Legion returning in the form of "azerite power". However, it's now even worse as it's only purpose is to make players grind to get back the Azerite traits they already had. It's such a poorly designed system I don't think Blizzard even knows what to do with it at this point, and I feel most of the playerbase would see it scrapped entirely. To me it's something that was added for the sake of having a replacement to Legion legendaries, but just fell flat so hard.

    The other two new features, Island Expeditions and Warfronts, are a fantastic examples of "good idea, poor execution". Once you hit 120, both become utterly useless and mundane. Island expeditions can be a fun break when leveling as they can give you vanity items and help catch up alts with the depressing Azerite grind, and provide decent experience to boot. They also change on a weekly basis and different scenarios happen each time to keep things interesting. However, there's very little reason to do them at max level.

    Warfonts... I just don't understand the point? You sit there killing NPCs for 30 minutes and always win? You get some low gear from doing this but it quickly becomes another useless feature that the game has to coerce you to participate in every week by giving you a very good reward.

    There are new "sub-races", and quite a few, which in a way are more like fully fledged races with their own racial bonuses and abilities. I like that more is being done to allow players to customise their characters even if I feel that some of the sub-races could've just been different appearance options on the standard races. The only issue with these are that most players agree that the requirements to unlock them should be lowered or removed entirely. These requirement involve grinding old Legion reputations and new BFA reputations.

    Mythic dungeons haven't really improved or worsened. The dungeons are fine and other than a few specs being completely shunned from participating due to the class balancing issue discussed earlier, they are still a fantastic PvE activity to do when not raiding. Other than that, everything just feels slightly worse. Professions: worse. Story: worse. Gear: worse. Character customization: worse. World quests: worse. PvP (other than Warmode): worse. Most allied races are just recolor of races that already existed, the way to get the new races is boring and exhausting, you need to spend several days farming reputation to unlock the race and still need to raise 100 levels to start the new expansion.     The developers failed to make a coherent and concrete story of the expansion, there are several gaps and holes in the story that make no sense. Things just happen, because yes.

    In hindsight, Battle for Azeroth was nowhere near as lackluster as Shadowlands, the expansion that followed it. At the very least, the writing was tolerable and the worldbuilding aspects were on point; zones like Vol'dun and Stormsong Valley are some of the best in the game.

    However, when it comes to gameplay, the expansion was very rough around the edges until it was almost over. The final season of Mythic Plus introduced one of the most enjoyable seasonal affixes in the form of Awakened, and as much as some people dislike the random procs, it was a great feeling when your Twilight Devastation went off on a particularly rough pack of enemies.

    I think some people were unreasonably harsh on Battle for Azeroth. It was by no means worse than Shadowlands currently is, and it definitely wasn't worse than Warlords of Draenor.    … Expand

    Art, sound and design did a great job, it's a beautiful expansion with great zones but it's just so grindy, and the Azerite system is a massive failure, you can get a 370 item that's worse than a 340 piece because of trait imbalance. The traits are very boring and add nothing to gameplay, they're just passive number increases.     Alliance specific leveling and overall 'feel' review.

    Started so well with the awesome zone of Drustvar. A zone that takes you back to the feel of old-school Duskwood with its eerie, supra-natural ambiance and creepy NPCs. The sound score was also excellent for this zone. Coming out of that and hitting Tiragarde Sound I thought the expansion was still going fairly strong, albeit not    Alliance specific leveling and overall 'feel' review.

    Started so well with the awesome zone of Drustvar. A zone that takes you back to the feel of old-school Duskwood with its eerie, supra-natural ambiance and creepy NPCs. The sound score was also excellent for this zone.
    Coming out of that and hitting Tiragarde Sound I thought the expansion was still going fairly strong, albeit not to the standard of Drustvar. However once I got to Stormsong Valley my experience took a nosedive; That Quillboar den, Briarback Kraul - I'd rather try to solve a rubix cube with my feet than trying to navigate that mess. Expect to slay like 200 quillboars while running around in circles trying to find your objective. Probably the worst game design of any map I've ever seen. I've even had to log out in frustration because I couldn't take it anymore.
    My main issue though was hitting 120 while leveling through Stormsong valley. Let me tell you how hitting 120 feels like with quest gear in this expansion; You'll breeze through 110-119 feeling powerful, mobs dying quickly and you rarely taking a dent. Hit 120 and this changes remarkably. From one moment to the next you're suddenly taking twice as long to kill mobs and you'll take tons more damage - even to the point that I as a retri Paladin died to a pair of bees because my cooldowns were recharging. C'mon, bees hitting for 6k a hit! Really? Say welcome to Blizzards new scaling system, where mobs scale to your ilvl - or so someone mentioned.
    My final pet peeve at this stage of the expansion is that pretty much everything is gated behind group content. Wanna finish a zone? Need to group. Wanna unlock your new class research tree? Need to group. Not a deal-breaker for me, but annoying nonetheless.
    Not stopping my sub just yet, but (very) early indications are that this is nowhere near a great expansion in my opinion.    … Expand

    A quite well-made expansion, but not without flaws. If they get removed by the creators, the rating will improve. However, you won’t regret buying it. [Issue#290]

    Battle for Azeroth offers everything you could expect from a World of Warcraft expansion, but its scale is visibly smaller than Legion’s and there’s no truly new quality here. All that doesn’t change the fact that the charm of this extraordinary MMORPG appeals to me almost as strongly as 13 years ago. [10/2018, p.42]

    Blizzard plays it safe, incorporating few innovations while trying to salvage the lore situation of Warcraft due to its constant escalation. Despite all this, BfA remains an entertaining expansion with a lot to offer in endgame for a casual player.
