Sep 13, 2018Battle for Azeroth it's a huge and entertaining expansion, which relies on combat, PvE, PvP, and character development. However, the best is yet to come.
-
Aug 22, 2018After the many big bads we have fought along the way, it's good to take some time to remember that we're supposed to be fighting each other, too. So whether you rep the Alliance or the Horde, Battle for Azeroth has something for everyone. But if you were missing world PVP, it especially feels like a love note from Blizzard to the gamers.

Aug 18, 2018Living up to the standard set by Legion, one of World of Warcraft’s best expansions ever, is an almost impossible task. Battle for Azeroth isn’t quite there yet. With warfronts, raids, and more story beats coming in the future, that may change. For now, the only thing for certain is that World of Warcraft still captures the MMORPG magic. And now that magic has dinosaurs.
-
Aug 22, 2018The areas are more beautiful than ever, the story technique is strong and the new features are nice additions.
-
Aug 21, 2018Even if its new loot system is a bust, Battle for Azeroth is a vibrant expansion full of wondrous new locales to explore, characters to meet, and stories to tell.
-
Sep 18, 2018Battle for Azeroth is more of the same, and that's what many World of Warcraft fans were looking for. Doesn't invent anything new and there is much that he borrows from something that appeared previously on the game, but worth returning to Azeroth to discover the history, insular expeditions and the Warfronts.
-
Sep 17, 2018Thanks to Battle for Azeroth, World of Warcraft doesn't feel like an obsolete MMORPG any longer, on the contrary, it's fresh, fun, surprising, and … addictive. Of course, the new expansion is not without its problems, but the overall feeling is that World of Warcraft is on the right path. And for those sitting on the fence about whether or not to jump into the action again, there's only one thing I can say: Battle for Azeroth is the perfect opportunity to come back to World of Warcraft. I have to give the folks at Blizzard credit for pouring their hearts and souls into the game once again, it definitely shows.
-
Sep 9, 2018It will not be a revolutionary expansion like the previous one, but World of Warcraft is more alive than ever.
-
Sep 3, 2018More than anything, I love the look of the new zones and the personalities of the new races. Zandalar and Kul Tiras are more fun to run and around than the Broken Isles.
-
Sep 5, 2018Blizzard delivers yet another expansión, full of excellent content. Maybe it’s not the best one, but it’s a great reason to come back to Azeroth.
-
Sep 6, 2018Quotation forthcoming.
-
Aug 22, 2018Battle for Azeroth is a good expansion for World of Warcraft, with not so many improvements in gameplay, but plenty of new content to experience and enjoy.
-
Oct 12, 2018Blizzard plays it safe, incorporating few innovations while trying to salvage the lore situation of Warcraft due to its constant escalation. Despite all this, BfA remains an entertaining expansion with a lot to offer in endgame for a casual player.
-
Oct 10, 2018While World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth hasn't been my favorite expansion in the franchise, it brought with it some great new dungeons, fantastic new raid encounters, an excellent new story, and gorgeous scenery. I have hope that what is lacking, or not working as intended will be adjusted over time. My love for the game, and the thriving community I have built within it are what keep me logging in week after week.
-
Sep 25, 2018After 14 years, Blizzard still knows what's at the heart of WoW, while proving it's not afraid to try new things. While not every new feature is a home run, the expansion's tighter focus on the war at home reminds players about what made Warcraft so popular in the first place.
-
Sep 19, 2018Battle for Azeroth is a solid follow-up to Legion that'll keep fans happy - if only for the new continents, War mode, and dungeons. Time will tell if the rest of the features will give the expansion the shelf life it needs.
-
Sep 10, 2018Any review of WoW is inherently a work in progress, with the full scope of the expansion taking years to reveal. But Battle for Azeroth has me hooked again and I look forward to sharing more of my thoughts as the war rages on.
-
Sep 9, 2018Battle For Azeroth succeeds in renewing the interest around Blizzard's MMORPG and that's enough for most fans. Of course, most additions don't really revolutionize the game even if the wild pvp and the exploration of islands are welcome.
-
Sep 7, 2018Battle for Azeroth lacks the novelties and polish of your usual WoW expansion but the new locales, enemies and storylines looks fascinating and promising. However Blizzard has tons of things to tweak and fix in the coming months.
-
Sep 5, 2018Battle for Azeroth, despite the endless grind, has been an exciting expansion this far. However, raids and additional content are what makes the game great. Blizzard has made the entry level into the new expansion welcoming for new players and some die-hard critics have shared their concerns with the current direction Blizzard are going with making the gaming “easier.”
-
Aug 31, 2018Battle for Azeroth is epic, funny and a great expansion pack. You will enjoy exploring the new regions in this beautiful MMORPG thats feels less ambitious than Legion, but really fun and addictive. The new features and challenging instances for groups are the best motivation to return to Azeroth and the epic universe of World of Warcraft.
-
Aug 28, 2018Battle for Azeroth follows many of the same patterns we saw in Legion, but in some respects it feels like a minor reboot. It reminds us that Azeroth alone is a powerful reason to visit, much as it was in earlier years, when WoW wasn’t quite as focused on a major endgame baddy. The complications with the Azerite gear and the occasional tedious dungeons prove it’s not perfect, but there’s such a wealth of things to do here that the rough spots never detract from the whole.
-
Aug 28, 2018Battle for Azeroth launches strong by renewing the conflict between the Horde and Alliance. Blizzard offers two very different experiences this expansion with each faction having their own storyline on unique island nations. It's an enjoyable expansion during the leveling experience, but endgame currently has some issues with sparse weapon drops and clutter stemming from the new Azerite gear system. There are improvements to be made here, but what's available at launch is still very good.
-
Aug 25, 2018Ultimately Battle for Azeroth is a worthy if somewhat less ambitious successor to 2016’s Legion. the diverse new zones and more intimate storytelling alone make Battle for Azeroth an adventure worth diving into.
-
Aug 23, 2018Unlike Legion, Battle for Azeroth doesn’t feel like a giant step forward from the game’s previous expansion.
-
Aug 21, 2018There’s a world of promise here, and scratching the surface will quickly draw you in. I can’t imagine an active Warcraft player not buying in – but if you’ve lapsed? Well, there’s a whole new world to check out. And it’s truly gorgeous. It’s a good time to head back.
-
Aug 20, 2018I'm the most intrigued I've been to date with World of Warcraft's storyline. The enemy isn't clear yet, and the breadcrumbs spread throughout the two campaigns are set. Battle for Azeroth isn't my favorite expansion but it's definitely up there.
-
Aug 18, 2018Battle of Azeroth isn’t as good as Legion was. But the Horde vs Alliance conflict is stronger than ever, and being part of this big conflict is pure fun. Veterans will enjoy HL content and how the lore is constantly used.
-
Oct 11, 2018Battle for Azeroth plays it safe, but that's ultimately its advantage. The true war will come and I'll be waiting impatiently. This expansion has a ton of potential that is still to be realized. And I'm sure Blizzard will do just that.
-
Oct 2, 2018The world design is top notch, the story and quest integration is much improved. But there are also a few new elements, above all the Heart of Azeroth, that fall flat.
-
Aug 24, 2018A solid addition to the long-running MMORPG.
-
CD-ActionDec 4, 2018Battle for Azeroth offers everything you could expect from a World of Warcraft expansion, but its scale is visibly smaller than Legion’s and there’s no truly new quality here. All that doesn’t change the fact that the charm of this extraordinary MMORPG appeals to me almost as strongly as 13 years ago. [10/2018, p.42]
-
Oct 8, 2018It's clear that Battle for Azeroth tries very hard to balance the needs of new players with those of long-time fans, and as was the case in Legion, it demonstrates that the line between refinement and oversimplification can feel very thin. It's an overall good addition to World of Warcraft's current state, but it's a gamble as to whether its upcoming content will make it truly special.
-
Sep 20, 2018Battle for Azeroth makes some great improvements in the levelling experience, but faults in its class design and the less rewarding Azerite system mean that overall, it takes too many steps back from Legion.
-
Sep 14, 2018World Of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, while not making something extravagantly wrong, leaves a loose and saggy impression. Especially compared to the typhoon of changes Legion brought, Battle for Azeroth seems to be less ambitious, staying inside its established comfort zone.
-
Aug 28, 2018Everyone insists the stakes are high, yet they never feel high, because nothing you care about is at risk.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Dec 31, 2018A quite well-made expansion, but not without flaws. If they get removed by the creators, the rating will improve. However, you won’t regret buying it. [Issue#290]
-
Sep 5, 2018Overall, I can’t say I’ve enjoyed my time with Battle for Azeroth. There’s a lot of long term progression here for the hardcore players, but to me everything feels simplified and a little bit strung out. The story is quite weak, and the new zones don’t have anything to really grab me as a player like Legion did. It all just feels a little too familiar, like Blizzard have tried to bring back the nostalgia of the “good old days” but have instead delivered the same old story once more. I’m hopeful, though, that Blizzard have a long term plan in place for this latest instalment in the epic saga that World of Warcraft has become, but I’ll be giving this one a miss.
-
Aug 30, 2018Unless Blizzard has some real story shake-ups and a phenomenally tuned raid on the horizon, I’m honestly expecting the sharpest player decrease to set in within the next few months. The expansion itself has some interesting ideas, but sticking to a World Quest grindfest is quickly becoming the norm, and the Island Expeditions aren’t exactly exciting.

Sep 5, 2018What Battle for Azeroth lacks in new stuff, it makes up for in character.
-
Aug 23, 2018The greatest testament to Blizzard’s design in this expansion is that it’s worth wading through Battle for Azeroth’s seemingly endless and frustrating grind, all in the hopes of helping your group of four friends push their keystone up one more level than you thought was possible — at least, for now.
-
Aug 16, 2018Battle for Azeroth is still good. Great, even. One of the best expansions World of Warcraft has seen. Cinematics are driving the storytelling stronger than ever, and a handy apocalypse providing a nice reset for the decades-old plot. There’s a wider range of ways to play, and what missteps are taken feel more like minor nuisances.
