I am an MMO vet, I have played just about every MMORPG since Ultima Online. Wildstar has so much to offer, Its Action Style gameplay gives you so much freedom, the skill tree lets you choice your own path, it has so much room for customization. The spells and abilities are simple to use with lots of options to play the way you want, while still being an individual player unlike any other in the game. No need for rotations, find attacks you like and just jump in, do massive damage along others of the same class and you will most likely be unique in the way you look as a character and the way you play, while still being a powerful useful player.

This game is a must buy, i jumped into the game with the idea that i need to hit the level cap as soon as i can, when i got into the game it was so amazing, so much to do and see, the game felt huge. I ended up spending 5 days in game leveling to the level cap. Most MMOs i can hit the level cap in no more than 2 days of grinding. The warplot 40v40 pvp, the housing plots, the 40v40 raids, the dungeon and raids actually take skill over gear. If you dont play this your missing out, Wildstar is going to dethrone WoW.

Игра стоит того, что бы её попробовать!

WildStar takes me back to a time when MMO's were fun for me. I have played WoW for 9 years and of about 6 of those years, I haven't had as much fun as I've had in the past week playing this game. Definitely a refreshing game for someone wanting to transition away from WoW.

Solid game, extremely funny and quirky, good combat & overall mechanics.
Do NOT be alarmed by those claiming countless bugs, it's a lie. The game is less than 1 month old and bugs are perfectly normal

After giving things a chance that I don't normally enjoy in other games (housing, crafting, etc.) I've found this game to be very refreshing. I was pretty much won over after my first dungeon run and the fast-paced combat style, but all of the other little things that are done well in the game are all coming together for a great experience overall. It isn't reinventing the wheel, just taking the best parts of it and building from there.

My only main gripe is the fact that solo quest grinding is by far the fastest way to level. i wish dungeons/adventures gave competitive amounts of XP, but such is life.

Wildstar is really a great MMO - though its not perfect.
What dissapoints me is the boring quests and the overall slow leveling. But once you hit 20 and can access the first dungeon, WS really starts getting funny and you want to rush to lvl 50 as fast as possible to see the raids and other dungeons.
PvP is also verry funny and - if you want so - you can level entirely through PvP.

The game mechanic are great with its doding and telegraph system. The UI is (at least for me) clear and understandable. Another good thing is, that you never get lost while questing - there is always something which comes up and leads you to the next zone or area.

The game runs smoothly (i5-3570K, 16gb DDR3, GTX 470, SSD) and the servers are quite good. At the start they had some issues, but thats normal if there are so many people who want to log in.

One thing (thats why I dont give 9/10) which dissapoints me the most, is that stalkers (the rogue class) I played turned out (at ~lvl 40) to be the ABSOLUTLY worst class for arena (which I´d like to do). This class is verry bad balanced compared to the other classes, has no sustain and only burst dmg and gets eaten up by almost every other class in 1v1. You can check out the forums - there are already many people complaining. In the end, I stoped leveling the stalker and switched to the warrior - and I have to say (compared to the stalker in pvp) hes amazing. If you look into playing PvP - dont play stalker. If you wanna play PvE stalker is quite good. You should also notice, that the hit-boxes can be laggy in some casses and since the stalker has a small attack-area you sometimes miss with your skills (warrior has way bigger attack area -> easier to hit even due lag).

So - in the end, I think this game is a big deal. Everyone who likes MMO should try it in my opinion. But I would not suggest to play stalker.

    Greetings

Like others have said, combat is a refreshing change of pace. Nice to have a bit more action as compared to WoW.

I guess my only criticism at this point is that I wish there was more starting areas (i.e. each race getting its own starting area).

As for the subscription fee, $15 / month seems nominal for some casual fun. I'd rather pay a small, flat monthly fee to encourage them to develop/invest in regular new content.

If you like WoW, IMHO, definitely worth a try.

The game to me is fresh, visually awesome (like a badass Pixar movie), humorous, casual and in a sense very competitive.

    Positives:
Artwork is as gorgeous as a Pixar film
    Instances are fun and exciting
    Leveling has been enjoyable
    Housing is AMAZING

    Negatives:
    Not much to the soundtrack

PvP could use more game modes at early levels

As an aside, people who criticise the subscription model of payment are missing the point, as having a developing, consistent gaming world is worth paying regularly for, and Wildstar certainly has that.

Straight and too the point, they put too much focus on artificial challenge on this game. All they did was amp up the damage output the enemies do and call it challenging. WildStar is the only MMO that has the slightest chance of taking the crown off WoW's head to become the new king of MMOs, and that's possibly due to the fact that many of the original WoW developers are the ones who created WildStar. They know what they're doing and it shows. Rather than making yet another WoW clone, they took what really worked in WoW, ditched some of the annoyances, changed up the combat, and created a unique universe that may have a familiar art style, but also a very unique and magical feel. It's the first time I've felt that same sense of magic since the old days of WoW. To be honest, this is the game that I was hoping Star Wars: The Old Republic would be. A sci-fi MMO that gives you a seamless, vast open world and doesn't take itself too seriously.

The only other worthy competitor currently on the market is Final Fantasy XIV, but since it is more of a story-driven game and thus very different from WS or WoW, I don't think it should be compared to either of them. It has succeeded in its own way and caters to those who are turned off by WoW-style (cartoony, less story-driven) MMOs. In short, WildStar and FFXIV is where it's at.

While it's the subscription model or not, the troll to cool person ratio seems to be pretty good. I like to RP and have found a small community, but even outside of that, there are people who are willing to help just to help.

Defining Ok, I really, really like this game" moment for me was when entire group full of scarred wow veterans felt natural, intuitive urge to go "WOO!" "YES!" " FUK YES!!" etc after killing last boss in an entry level dungeon.: D Been a long time since I've seen a 5 man dungeon where you actually have to do something to beat it. Difficult content is rewarding content.

The hard-to-define sense of adventure is very much present. World, zones feel alive and full of surprises. It is little unfortunate how first few hours of game feel quite uninspired in comparsion to what comes next. I almost dismissed the game after 2-4 hours. Wildstar really starts working it's magic around 10-20 hours.

For those burnt out on WOW's content, WildStar is easy to endorse. Immediately familiar to anyone who's visited Azeroth and with enough new twists on the tried-and-tested theme park formula, Carbine's game is so overflowing with stuff to do that it's certainly justified in asking for a subscription - even if less people seem prepared to sign up to one.

Wildstar banks on hardcore raid and instance difficulty as well as its excellently implemented "dancing" real time combat mechanic to offer something significantly new and fresh to the MMORPG scene. Low server population and annoying hints of a "Pay To Win More" model hold it back in certain areas, but it has all the potential of becoming a well established and much loved setting for years to come.
