WildStar brings a fresh gameplay to the MMO scene, graphics and animation are very cool, they invested a lot of effort in the soundtrack, and the fighting mechanics...damm this is how an MMO should be done!
At lvl 6 you can already start doing PVP! which is very competitive in this game and requires you to bring a lot of focus and dedication to the game!
I absolutely love how this game

I absolutely love how this game doesn't take itself so seriously but yet it's very challenging and can definitely satisfy hardcore players.
Bottom line, if you are searching for something fresh, and even if you're not an MMO player, do yourself a favor and go try this game.

Addicted. This is the only word I can think of to describe my first several day of WildStar. I literally haven't wanted to plan an MMO this much in nearly a decade. What can I say, after dozens of MMORPG'S Ive played in recent years (every AAA title) I can say Wildstar is MMO with unbeliveable polished content (just finished 3 days headstart without single tech problem...Thats how mmo's should be released).

Love new combat system (im so bored with tab targetting...finally some breath of fresh air) and Sci-fi feeling >>>generic fantasy IMHO. Also, dont be fooled with its cartoony gfx, its not an facerooll insta max level game. It got deep customisation system, loads of stats to tweak on and skill combos/unlocks to tinker with. I could go on and on about warplots/housing/pvp/ dungeons/raids/arena's/bg's/adventures/shiphand missions/path system/crafting system etc. but you can youtube it. ;]

I WAS very excited about this game, until the lack of customer service ruined it for me. After 2 weeks of logging in and hoping the game would 'grow' on me, I was suddenly not able to anymore (even though my credit card had been charged for mine AND wife's copy). There is no phone number to call. NONE. You "get" to use this lame 'file a ticket' system. I have played almost every single MMO that has come out in the last 14 years including the original EQ. I have never had an issue like this with any of them, including when I played other games under NCsoft (Aion and Gw2).

So I have sat here all night tonight wondering what happened. The closest I have come to an answer is that "some" accounts the purchased the game and got charged, and never got the serial codes emailed to them. (I didn't get serial codes in ANY email except a XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-1234 serial code has been used on your account. The irony is that the forum topic under billing that describes this is dated May 31st saying resolved, and here it is June 18th. Their recommendation is for me to buy another copy of the game... LOL HAHAHH! As if I am going to do that with the charges from my last order (June 1st) still sitting on my bank statement.
IF I am able to actually get in and play I will come back and redo this rating but until I can, I have paid for something that is unusable. I'd give it less than 0 if I could.

I have no idea if this game is actually good or not because it freezes and crashes constantly on a system that can easily play other games on High settings (GW2, ESO, WoW, SC2, TSW, D3 to name a few). Carbine rushed this product out the door at the last minute without taking into account that their paying customers had a wide variety of system configurations and now the most popular topic on their forums is "Why won't this game work for me? My system meets the requirements!" Seriously, check it out before you gamble away $60 on this game. If you do buy it, don't be surprised if you're one of the many unlucky people who were dumb enough not to see into the future and know exactly what kind of hardware Carbine would design this game to work on. I have been left with a product that I can't even play for 5 minutes before it crashes so spectacularly that I have to restart my entire computer while in a "major city" (I'm stuck in Thayd, and I can't get out because the game just crashes after I log in!). Before I got stuck in Thayd, I could only get 20+ FPS by turning the resolution and rendering down to the point that everything just turned into a blurry rainbow colored pixelated mess. If you think it's unfair to give this game a 0, ask yourself what score you would give a $60 product that you can't use, but by all rights should be able to play. My system is no slouch, and I bet yours isn't either. Do yourself a favor and research it before you gamble away your money on this game because you might end up like me- down $60 with nothing to show for it. Expand

Though this game looked to me on twitch like "meh" and too "sci-fi", when you play it it is lot of fun, and the graphics are cool if you like cartoonish style. The fight system is amazing, plenty of lore stuff, paths are new features that enhance the gameplay, and characters are pretty customize-able. Definitely give it try.

By far the best aspect of the game is the dungeons. Telegraphs make sure you're not wiping for an hour on the same boss. The fights are busy, but with telegraphs you know what you should have avoided. Complicated yes, but no one has an excuse. In the same vein, I'm glad votekick was included right out of the box.

You can't get free epic loot without working for it and the legendary gear is a big slog, attunement to raids, 20man, 40man etc.
Graphics are great when you get past some of the performance issues Carbine are hotfixing out. but generally they have had a positive launch, not too many problems. It also feels and plays like a traditional MMO, making the obvious comparison to that other hugely popular MMO that came out 10 years ago, wildstar makes you feel "the same" way and enjoy it as much. Unlike many others that came after ."That MMO", that were heavily based upon their IP names and failed to deliver a great and satisfying experience in the long run, wildstar delivers just what everyone pretty much wanted from an MMO, hence it's "lack of originality". But do not let this deceive you, it's that same aspect that makes this game a great MMO, since it feels and plays like what the community established as an MMO.

To respond to negative reviews those who have technical issues about not being able to log on and play what they paid for I can understand. Everyone else who says that this generic, and doesn't have anything new; they are flat out wrong. Two new things are the Path system, and dynamic telegraph combat system. The four Paths which gives you extra content based on your choice of building & giving buffs, exploring every nook and crany, learning secret lore, or straight up killing. The dynamic telegraph combat system causes you to put your enemy inside your telegraph while staying out of theirs. Of course it starts out easy, but then ramps up to high damage variable telegraphs to keep you on your toes. PvP can be tricky with so many telegraphs flying around. And for those that like it the dungeons and raids bosses have harder telegraphs and stun resistance so the whole party has to stun at once. For those things that have been done before, Carbine has polished them up and added style. Housing, mounts (hoverboards), quests, every race has a style of talking, and mining (I have mined a mineral node that turned into a mineral worm and tried to eat me, I then killed it, went inside its belly and mined some more) are all well executed. Wildstar actually has something for everybody.
The only downsides would be I have been dropped 4 times in 2 months (not that bad for a just released MMO), and the quest que on the screen can get a bit unwieldy since there are so many quests and the numbering system changes based on how close you are (of course you can always drop a quest from the que when you want to).

There are bugs and issues, but you will have these with any new MMO. What you have to look at, is how they handle the issues, fix the bugs, and learn from their mistakes. Really hoping the game takes off.

Simple : You loved WOW Vanilla and bored by the medieval/fantasy theme ? Wildstar is the Wow Vanilla if it has been developed for 2014. Nothing more to add, just play it and enjoy. So the stupidity here is to give a 0 to a game if you don't like it or if you rated 10/10 TESO ? Ok so I will rate 10 instead of the 8 I wanted to rate...

Carbine never was set to reinvent the wheel. But they put a nice set of custom rims on their vehicle. And then they strapped the whole thing on a space shuttle and send it into space.

For those burnt out on WOW's content, WildStar is easy to endorse. Immediately familiar to anyone who's visited Azeroth and with enough new twists on the tried-and-tested theme park formula, Carbine's game is so overflowing with stuff to do that it's certainly justified in asking for a subscription - even if less people seem prepared to sign up to one.

Wildstar banks on hardcore raid and instance difficulty as well as its excellently implemented "dancing" real time combat mechanic to offer something significantly new and fresh to the MMORPG scene. Low server population and annoying hints of a "Pay To Win More" model hold it back in certain areas, but it has all the potential of becoming a well established and much loved setting for years to come.
